Ok bestbuy.com has taken out the 108$ deposit and now the order is confirmed so does
bestbuy.com hold the Funds and use them when it ships or can i use the 108$ for something
else now since the order is done and i Can just put another 108$ in there for them to take it
out on 10/22/09 the release date or when it ships

Well you can purchase either an upgrade or a full copy. Difference is, one has to be upgraded from a previous operating system (XP or Vista) and the other can do a clean install without the need to have a previous operating system. The Windows 7 Upgrade program provides you with an upgrade copy of Windows 7.

I have a window inheritance and implementation question. I'm using
Forte 3.0.J.1.
I have a super (base) window with a PushButton on it. I want to
handle the Click event of the button in this super window therefore
I create an event handler.
<MyBtn> : PushButton
I create a sub window inheriting from the previous super window.
I put some data widgets on it and group all of them (the inherited
button as well) into a GridField. When I set the mapped type of the grid
the name of the inherited PushButton widget changes:

When I run the application I get a SystemException with the
message:
Attempt to register an event on a NIL object (qqds_C_FieldWidget, 10).

Dragging tabs from one Terminal.app window to another

In Safari, you can drag a tab off and "tear" it off from one window to another. Is there a way to make that work in Terminal.app? It doesn't seem to work on my end with Leopard OS X 10.5.5.

The first AAA server listed in your config will always be used unless/until it becomes unavailable. At that point the NAD would move down to the next AAA server defined on the list and use that one until it becomes unavailable and then move to third one, and so on.
If you want to use two AAA servers at the same time then you will need to put a load balancer in front of them. Then the virtual IP (vip) will be listed in the NADs vs the individual AAA servers' IPs.

I came up with an alternative solution.
Instead of actually trying to move the JInternalFrame from one JDesktopPane to another, I added a single, maximized JInternalFrame to the left side. When one of the right side frames is to be docked, I merely copy its ContentPane to the single JInternalFrame on the left, set the original to be non-visible, and adjust the properties of the JSplitPane to make the "docked" frame appear.
When the "close" button on the docked frame is pressed, I simply undo this procedure to "undock" the frame and redisplay it on the right-hand side (with its content intact from the docked frame, but in its original position).

Folder/ file icons are different sizes from one window to another!

Hi there
I am having an extremely annoying problem where all my folders and files (in icon view) are totally different sizes from each other from one window to another. For example, I might click on a folder that's icon is small sized (64x64), but when that folder opens up, the icons of the subfolders inside are huge (276x276) and need to instantly be resized and re-arranged. Then if i continue to open one of these subfolders, the file icons inside it are now medium sized (96x96). Each new folder that I go into on my hard drive will be differently sized and I end up spending ages resizing and re-arranging them before I can do my work. This problem never happened in Leopard and Im despairing of what to do.
Is there a way of setting a default icon size and spacing that can then be applied to every folder and file on the hard drive? I have used the 'Use as defaults' option on the 'View options' window but this doesn't apply it to anywhere else besides the current window you are on.
Surely, Im doing something wrong as Apple could never have overlooked such an obvious problem like this?
Can anyone advise?

The Finder will (theoretically) remember the view settings for each individual folder that you visit. If you have not opened a particular folder before, you should get the default view settings, but once you have changed the view then that is what you will get on subsequent visits. You can erase the previous settings by deleting the (normally invisible) .DS_Store file that is created in a folder when it is opened, but this file can contain other Finder metadata.

Fire Plug from one window to another

Dear All,
Is it possile to fire an outbound plug from one window to another?
I am using a Popup window and on clicking a button in the popup window, I want to navigate to another view in the parent window.
I know there are other ways to handle these kind of scenarios like using an eventhandler in the parent view and them firing a plug, but that would affect the rest of the applicatin flow.
So I cannot avoid firing the plug from the view in the popup window.
Can it be done?

      I believe your popup is a modal window. If so in your action handler of the button on the popup window you can hide the popup window and then fire the navigation plug of your parent window.
   Your popup button action handler can call a method in your component controller where you can write the code to hide the existing popup window and then fire the plug in your parent window.
   make sure you store the IWDWindow object of your popup window on the context so that you have access to it to hide the popup window.

I have several unrelated web projects that I am working on, and I would like to be able to set up a virtual server for each one for testing purposes, such as: http://project1, http://project2, http://project3. Can someone tell me if this is doable, and if there are any tutorials/resources on this for someone who has 0 experience running a web serer? Sorry for being so ignorant!

Yes, it is doable.
You can setup virtual server either by IP or by name.
If you have one IP, and want to set them up by name (ex. http://project1, http://project2, http://project3) you can do so easily with this type of configuration:

a) all virtual servers share the same HTTP listener
b) which virtual server serves the request depends on the $HOST request header send by the client. Sun Web Server does the matching for you. It will match $HOST vs. the virtual server's host attribute. Depending on which site you connect to the right virtual server will be used.
c) if the $HOST request header does not match any of the virtual servers, then the default virtual server defined in the HTTP listener will be used.
To create a virtual server, use the Admin GUI, access the configuration, and then add new virtual server. Or use the following CLI command.
wadm> create-virtual-server --config=myconfig --http-listener-name=http-listener-1 --document-root=/www/docs/myserver.com --host-pattern=myserver.com --log-file=../logs/myserver.com-error_logs myserverHost pattern will be used for matching. Some of this elements might be optional.

Spaces switches away from application when moving window to another monitor

Using multiple monitors in Mavericks:
I often want a window from the same application on each monitor. Why? Because I'm working in one window, and I want to refer to another. Mostly it's the brower (Firefox), but sometimes it's Word or Excel too although I think this is a Mavericks issue.
Here's the issue: When I move the a window to another monitor, Spaces on the original monitor changes away from the current application.
This is frustrating, because I have to keep Cmd Tabbing to get back to my original application on both monitors... how do I prevent this from happening?

GNOME is a desktop environment, but that doesn't settle what window manager you're using, which would also be helpful to know. I think most GNOME users use either metacity or compiz, but strictly speaking there are quite a few others you might be using too, from openbox to a tiling wm.
