Windows 7 (Boot Camp) on iMac w/ Apple Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse

Anyone get this to work consistantly? I have tried multiple different ways with no success. Sometimes it works for a bit then quits but never completely working. Any help would be apprieciated.

For Macs with built-in Optical drives, changing the Bootcamp info.plist allows a USB to be created, but the second problem is left unsolved. Bootcamp Assistant has code, which tells the CSM-BIOS layer to boot from a specific device path, which is the Optical drive. This needs to be changed in the NVRAM, and the simplest method is to hold Alt key before BA switches to BIOS mode and tells the Mac to boot from DVD. This is not 100% successful in all cases, but you can try it.
I wish the Apple engineers had another BA key in this info.plist, which was WindowsBootDevice == USB/OD/SomeOtherDevice and users could change it or put it on the BA UI.
OD failures are a pain, especially on iMacs. Windows installer does not like an external OD, so it is a pain.
If you have a second Mac which does not require an OD, Winclone can be used to move an installed BC partition to another mac, but it is a more expensive option.

Boot camp side wont recognize apple wireless keyboard

I have a base 2013 imac 21.5 inch.
Had windows partition for a couple months now. Suddenly it doesnt reeckognize my apple wireless keyboard. Mac side reckognzes it but windows doesnt.

After browsing some Windows fora, I went to look at the Log On tab of the Bluetooth Support Service Properties (Services page in the Computer Management utility). The hypothesis was that that service was being denied access to some resource. I ended up just fiddling, but to my amazement it fixed the problem.
Here's the essence of my fiddling:
+ I tried stopping and restarting the service logging on as a Local System account - no luck.
+ Then I tried with my Administrator account - no luck.
+ So I wanted to restore the original account - "NT Authority\SYSTEM" - but woe unto me, I didn't know the password! (apparently no one does for this super-account.) But if you leave the password fields empty, the service starts - oof!
And now, all of a sudden, my keyboard has started working.
So I would suggest that in a similar situation, one should:
+ stop the Bluetooth Support Service,
+ make sure the log-on account is NT Authority\SYSTEM,
+ clear the password fields, and
+ restart the service.

10.6.4 Macbook Pro will no longer connect to Apple bluetooth keyboard/mouse

I installed the 10.6.4 update and my MacBook Pro 17" froze after a while. I rebooted and now the bluetooth will not connect or my Apple wireless keyboard or Mighty Mouse. I can also no longer turn the bluetooth off.
Anyone else having problems?

Same thing happened to me. I had the same problem updating from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3 also.
I was able to fix it again (in the update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4) using the same approach:
Look in both /Library/Preferences (the library folder at the root level of your hard drive) and ~/Library/Preferences (the library folder inside your user folder). Delete the file com.apple.Bluetooth.plist from both locations then shut down the computer fully before restarting.
It is important to click shut down (and not just restart). I don't know why, but it won't work if you just click restart.

I've been trying to find this info on the net but haven't been able to so far...
Can anyone with Apple's bluetooth keyboard tell me if its response time is quick enough to make gaming possible?

Apple Bluetooth Keyboard in a Windows XP window

Hi,
my problem is this:
I have a Macbook Air with OS X 10.6 on it. Connected via Ethernet i have a PC running Windows XP. The Macbooks internal keyboard works without problem in the XP window, but when I use an external Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (this one: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC184LL/B?fnode=MTY1NDA1Mg&mco=MTMzNzg5MDM) it doesn't work at all in the XP window – but without problems everywhere else in the Mac.
Any ideas what can be wrong? It used to work just fine before.

Macbook Pro running Windows with Boot Camp, wanting to use iMac as second monitor.

I am using a Macbook Pro that is running Windows with Boot Camp. I want to connect it to my iMac so that I can use the iMac as a second monitor.
If it is not possible, I also have a TV that I could use using an HDMI, however when I tried this my Macbook Pro running Windows 8.1 did not detect it in the Display Settings.
What are my options? I just want to use my iMac or TV as a second monitor!!

Under Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Boot Camp, my 27 inch Apple LED Cinema Display checks out as a Generic PnP Monitor and is shown as NOT HDCP compliant. I haven't been able to find any kind of an .inf file to use. Does anyone have a solution?

I am having this same issue. Im not sure if this is the cause but I think this is keeping PowerDVD Ultra 11 from playing back Bluray under Windows 7 / Bootcamp

Windows partition will not open using Boot Camp on iMac 10.9.5

OS: 27" desktop iMac, Maverick 10.9.5, 8 GB RAM
HD Partions: iMac OS X, Windows 7, Boot Camp
For some unknown reason I am having problems getting Windows 7 to open after starting up in Boot Camp, and it's getting progressively worse. After starting Boot Camp I select the Windows 7 partition and either click on that icon or press "Return/Enter". This is where everything freezes and I have to shut down and reboot again into Boot Camp to try again. Sometimes it works, other times not. I've already tried 8 times tonight but can't get into the Windows 7 partition. The OS X partition and everything else is working fine and I have all of my updates.
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to boot into an existing W7. When I turned on the computer this morning I booted straight into Boot Camp and then successfully went into W7 with no problems, never going into the OS X partition. I later rebooted straight into OS X (the default startup) and read your comments.

Windows 7 Boot Camp no longer recognize my wireless mouse and Keyboard?

I have a mid 2011 27in iMac on 10.9.1 and I run Windows 7 via boot camp, sometimes Parallels as well. Today I tried to boot up in to Windows via Boot Camp, but I can not control the cursor or input anything via kayboard. This has happened before and I only got it working again after reinstalling Windows, which I am REALLY trying to avoid
The thing is, when I boot in to Windows, it is definitely responding to the keyboard when I hold F8 to go in to safe mode, but once the desktop loads up, I lose any function of mouse or keyboard. Even when I try to manually add a device using a USB mouse, it is not detecting any wireless device.
Both my Magic Trackpad and Wireless Keyboard work fine in OS X, Windows 7 when in Parallels and works during the start up of boot camp, but not when Windows 7's desktop boots up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to download the drivers. To download them, press X key while your Mac is starting to start into Mac OS X, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to download them. You will have to burn them onto a DVD or USB drive, so you will be able to install the drivers on Windows. Then, it should work fine.
If you can't download them in Boot Camp Assistant, download the drivers from this website > http://www.cafe-encounter.net/p682/download-bootcamp-drivers The links are from Apple and that's safe to download and install

How can I get Windows 7 Boot Camp to find my Magic Mouse?

Hey!
So I just bought a Magic Mouse and it works flawlessly in OS X.
But when I use Windows 7 Boot Camp I can't find the mouse to add it as a new device. My bluetooth works just fine and I have the Boot Camp 3.3 drivers.
I tried rebooting, turning the mouse off and on, read a bunch of guides on the internet but no one is having issues CONNECTING the mouse, only getting it to work, so my research is proving to be hard.
Can you guys help me?

Can you please mention your MAC model (MBA 2011, MBP, iMac?). Which OS X version?. Have you problems pairing other bluetooth devices?
You may want to try the following setps.
1.- First make sure that you have the latest EFI and software updates. Including latest bootcamp bluetooth drivers.
2.- Unpair MM in Mac OSX
3.- Do a Nvram and SMC reset:

4.- Restart
5.- Pair your MM under Mac OSX
6.- Boot on Bootcamp assiging bootcamp as a starting partition
7.- Add your device.
Let me know if that worked, there are another tricks you can try but I need additional information.

Windows 7 - Boot Camp - No Internet Connection

I just installed windows 7 (enterprise 64bit) onto my iMac (running the latest OS). When I log onto the Windows 7 OS it says I have no internet connection. I use wireless, is this a problem with my network working with windows 7? wireless works on Mountain Lion just fine. Any tips on how to resolve this issue? I looked online for help and it says to reinstall the drivers from the boot camp CD. But these were old post when they use to have CDs for Boot Camp, it is now just an application on my mac. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Windows requires Boot Camp drivers to work correctly on a Mac.
1. Press Option key when your Mac starts and choose Macintosh HD.
2. Open Boot Camp Assistant, download the Boot Camp drivers and burn them into an USB disk or DVD.
3. Start in Windows and install Boot Camp drivers

Note that nowhere in the Boot Camp instructions does it tell you to use Disk Utility to format the Windows partition. The Boot Camp Assistant program creates the partition & sets the +partition scheme info+ of the disk as appropriate for the Windows installer but the Windows installer itself is responsible for formatting the new partition with the appropriate +file system scheme+ (NTFS for Windows 7).
If you follow the instructions in the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide to the letter you should have no problems installing Windows.

Red Alert 2 on Windows 7 Boot Camp

New MBA 13" 2011.... Installed Windows 7 (Boot Camp) with latest Windows Support tools/drivers from Apple. Install Red Alert 2 the game but get a graphic glitch where the videos and user menu isn't displayed.

I ran the automatic setup, I did notice that there was an ATI folder there, however I thought the graphics were Intel graphics not ATI on the new MBAs.

Windows Vista Boot camp will not show video card

Im running a macbook pro in windows vista 32 bit boot camp mode. Every thing works fine except that the device manager only shows the VGA adapter and not the Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT I have equiped. I cant find any drivers for this card. Is there any way to get Vista to use it properly?
