Windows 7 computers show a Valid Trust Anchor warning message when connecting to corporate wireless

We are currently using EAP-TLS  Microsoft:Smart Card or certificates" as the Authentication Method on our Radius/NPS server for authenticating domain laptops to be enable to connect to corporate wireless network.
We have a Windows 2003 Root& Issuing CA which has published computer certificates to all the domain laptops/workstations. We have also setup a parallel PKI ( Root and Issuing CA) setup on Windows 2012 OS in the same domain.
This Windows 2012 ISsuing CA has also deployed computer certificates to a cpl of testing domain workstations.  So the end result, each of these testing workstations has  2 computer certificates in its PERSONAL Store for client/server auth  (1)
One issued by the Windows 2003 CA (2) Other cert issued by the Windows 2012 CA.
We are noticing that windows 7 laptops are throwing a warning message similar to as shown below . I have verified that the ROOT certificate coming from both the CA's described above,  is present in the ROOT TRUSTED CERTIFICATION AUTH Store on each of these
Windows 7 laptops.   Surprisingly, we don't get this same warning on Windows 8 or 8.1 laptops.
Also, if i hit the CONNECT button, i am able to connect to the wireless,
but then i don't see the "Security " Tab anymore under properties of the wireless profile (SSID).   I found on some forums to click on the Security Tab and further click on "SETTINGS" and check if the ROOT CA cert is present
in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities” list, .  I dont get  these options anymore after connecting.
These options do show up on Windows 8 machines after connecting.

in the wireless connection properties, in the dialog authentication properties you need to select root CAs which are eligible to issue RADIUS server certificates:

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Thanks for this explanation. I had taken it that it was at all times.
As I said in the first place it will be great if they throttle me to 1Mb at peak times as it will be better half the time than I am getting anyway!!!!!!!!!

Power off and then back on the router
What happens when you enter the network's PW?
Try forgetting/deleting the network if necessary. To do that go to System Preferences>Network>wifi>Advanced and select the network and click on the minus sign

  • J2SE 6 warning message when using type casting

With Java SE 5 and 6 version, there's always an annoying warning message when I write the following code:
LinkedList<MyBean> cart0 = (LinkedList<MyBean>) session.getAttribute("cart");The warning message is because I use the type casting with the getAttribute method and thus this is not type-safe. So how do I get around the warning message and write standard code that sticks to the J2SE 6 standards? Thank you.

Add a @SuppressWarnings annotation to the method. A bit intelligent IDE will provide you a quickfix option for it.
Keep in mind: it's a warning, not an error. The sessionMap is cannot be specifically parameterized and will never be, it should be able to store any object to your taste. Further on this has not much to do with JSF at itself.

  • How to have Windows computers show up in shared...

I am having the worst trouble with this. My parents' Windows computer showed up under "Shared" on the sidebar at first on Leopard, but then all of a sudden it disappeared and I haven't been able to get it back there. What is the secret?

    Hi Matt,
I'm having the same problems, really irritating! I've no answer I'm afraid, though a temporary solution is:
In the finder menu, select Go -> Connect to Server (or hit apple+k)
In the server address box, type smb://Target_Computer Name
Obviously, replace TargetComputerName with the network name of the computer you want to connect to. So it could be smb://dev or smb://johnscomputer etc...
    Hope this helps a little.

  • Itunes recently attemped to upgrade to the next version on two of my Windows computers, and now I get an error message

My Windows computers (one Windows Vista computer, one XP sp3 computer)  recently attemped to upgrade Itunes to the latest version, and now, I get an error message that reads:
    Runtime Error
    R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime Library incorrectly.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.  When I click OK, I get another error message tat states "Itunes was not installed correctly.  Please re-install Itunes.  Error 7 (Windows Error 1114).When I re-install
When I re-install Itunes, I get the same result.
Now, Itunes will not work.  I cannot play any of my Pod Casts, or downloaded music.  Quick Time Player, and any other Apple application does not work.  What, if anything, is being done to fix this?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
The information in the first link is Apple's only public acknowledgement of this issue. No other actions they're taking to address this are publicly known.

  • Warning message when launching iTunes

I upgraded to iTunes8 and on launching iTunes, the following error message appears "The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result of other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes." I then reinstalled the "Repair" from the downloaded file (iTunes8Setup), but the warning message still appears after rebooting my computer and launching iTunes . I then removed iTunes from my computer and reinstalled iTunes from this download (iTunes8Setup). I rebooted my computer and launched iTunes, same result. Any ideas on how I can fix this warning message. Please note this warning message did not appear when launching my previous version of iTunes.

I do not burn any CD's so don't have one to insert into the drive to test the diagnostics. No I am not running 64 bit version of XP.

  • Warning Message when entering BIOS!!

hi.. I have a K8N Neo2 platinum, 2*512MB Twinmos DDR400, 80 GB Seagate PATA, PowerColor9800Pro. so.. when I press Del to enter BIOS there is a warning message is shown to me "Warning: Have option ROM can not be invoke (Vendor ID:10DEh, Device ID: 00DFh) NVIDIA RAID IDE ROM BIOS 4.81 Copyright (c) 2004 NVIDIA Corp. Detecting array ..." this is the message. it flashes on the screen and then enters the BIOS.. The problem appeard when I updated my BIOS version 1.8 to 1.A0. I updated 1.B0, but it's still the same.   there one more thing; when windows starts my mouse dont work. I have unplag and then plag again to make it work.. What can I do for both of my problems... thanks a lot..

Warning: Have option ROM can not be invoke (Vendor ID:10DEh, Device ID: 00DFh) .
Option ROM is in this case the PCI ROM file embedded in bios for nvpxe ( boot from network)
There is something broken in the bios boot options and this ROM file .
    Device ID: 00DF is the
    NVIDIA Network Bus Enumerator Driver
It's not normal , and in fact there is something broken for boot options in all 1.9/1.A and 1.B bioses .
My guess it is related to the work msi have done with more usb boot type media .
But it's related to network boot and does not affect most of us as network PXE booting is
    seldom used .
Other things thats brooken is boot from addin disk controller PCI cards internal bios .
If you have this you will get a second warning with that cards vendor id and device id .
