Windows 7 does not recognize Hybrid nVidia graphics

Heya, first poster here.
I have a late 2009 MacBook Pro (unibody model) with two graphics chips (apparently this is a hybrid chip with 2 GPUs: 9400M and 9600M GT)
I have installed windows 7 using boot camp assistant, and usually the boot camp driver installation should launch after rebooting, right? well, it didn't.
I have tried getting the drivers off the OS X installation DVD that came with my MBP, but that's pretty much useless, as all it installs is CD or DVD sharing for MBAs.
I have tracked down and installed drivers for most things, so now almost everything works as intended (except for brightness and graphics, but I can live with the brightness thing), except that under win7 in device manager, the only graphics card that shows up is a "standart VGA adapter" instead of two nVidia cards. I've tried installing other drivers, but nothing works. I'm stuck with the default driver (VESA standart?) and the aero basic interface.
Now how can I get windows to recognize my hardware correctly? How can I install the right drivers for boot camp 3? I have tried googling my issue, but apparently I'm the first to run across it. (I have triple-checked: my MBP is the model with both graphics chips, just to rule that out)
Please help...

I don't know for what reason, or how, but my OS X installation DVD wouldn't launch the right setup. manually launching setup.exe in /Bootcamp folder on dvd worked. everything just dandy now.
move on, nothing to see here.

Does the iPod appear in Device Manager when it is connected?
To access device manager, click Start and then right->click on Computer and choose Manage.
It might be listed as unknown or under the USB host controllers section.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize my iphone

My iPhone 4 is not recognized by my Windows 7 laptop.  iTunes on this PC recognizes it okay, but Windows 7 does not see it as a camera.  On my old WinXP machine, it is recognized with no problem.

Did you check the camera notification?

  • Windows 7 does not recognize device

I have been successfully connecting my 8330 to a desktop PC running XP for quite a while.  The device sw is v4.5.0.175.  I recently got a new Lenovo T410 laptop, running Windows 7.  I have downloaded the DM software (v5.0.1) and verified that my device SW is up-to-date, but the laptop is still not recognizing that the device is connected (via USB).  I've tried it in all the USB ports on the laptop, and also followed all the steps detailed in KB13146, with no luck.  I can't find anything in any of the forums that reference Windows 7.  Can anyone provide help to resolve this problem?

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. I can attest that DTM does indeed recognize a BB under Win7...mine is exactly so.
    Hopefully something there is helpful!

  • Windows & iTunes Does Not Recognize iPhone 4 But It Charges?

I have an iPhone 4 16 GB Factory Unlocked. Yesterday it was fully working. I don't know why, today, my PC doesn't recognize it, even as an camera. I don't see Apple Mobile Device USB Driver listed in the device manager. Tried several programs concerned with iPhone, but no luck.
Uninstalled everything related Apple like iTunes, Bonjour, Apple Application Support etc., and used a program called "ByeTunes". Reinstalled iTunes but it does not work. I tried plugging it to my laptop, still doesn't work.
Also, I'm using Windows 7 x64, and re-installed Apple Mobile Device Support for 64-bit several times. It didn't work.
However my phone charges, does not beep that plugging sound or show charging indicator but the battery level increases, when I plug it to my computer. But when I try to charge with firewire it works.
And last, my PC can recognize my phone in DFU mode, fortunately. But I'm afraid of being stucked at restoring process.
    What should I do?
    Thanks.

I am facing the same issue. Tried everything like, Reinstall Itunes, Tries the sync on 3 diffrent laptops with windoes 7, XP and vista, Connecting in restore mode, DFU, Apple mobile devices restarted..nothing has worked. I am not sure if i do "erase all setting and content" will help  because if the i tunes cant recognise the i phone now, then after erasing everything will it recognise to restore??
Can any 1 help if i do " erase all setting and content" will help and will itunes recognise the iphone then?

  • Windows 7 does not recognize new laptop HDD?

I got a new hard drive for my comuter, I went to install windows on it but the installer said is no drive there, and tells me to get the proper drivers. I don't know where to get the drivers, and it's a Western Digital so it uses the built in drivers from windows. My desktop recognizes the drive fine, but the laptop does not. Any help?

Nevermind.  I removed the device, turned the power off and back on to let Windows reinstall the device.  That made the problem go away.  I should have tried that first.

  • Windows 10 does not recognize the Monitor as PnP

Windows 10 has my FT220 HQL touch monitor listed as "generic" and limits the resolution.  Windows 7 recognized the monitor and offred the highest resolution the monitor supports.  The resolution in Windows 10 is very poor and it limits the resolution.  I went through the initial start up procedure as described in the Quick Guide, but it did not help.  The auto Adjust does not improve it either.   I do not see win 10 drivers on the web site.  Is this the problem?  Why doesn't win 10 recognize the monitor?  How do I correct?

I downloaded the win 8 drivers from the Acer site, but they would not load.  I had a chat with an Acer support person which was useless.  I just revered to windows 7 (easy option in 10), and full function is restored.  I'll check the Acer site from time to time and wait for a win 10 driver.  My Windows 10 upgrade button is still showing, and a copy is reserved.  Thanks for the response.

  • Windows vista does not recognize my mini

So I got a windows vista computer and tried to connect my mini but it comes up saying USB device not recognized. ANY help is appreciated

    Hello,
I tried it but it goes wrong while setup, I get a message to connect the webcam and does not go on, setup is waiting and can not come forth.
I opened all the files in the setup with Winrar and tried through Windows and it did not work.
I know it's not your fault, it's very poorly by HP that does not have a driver for something that itself produces.
It would be simple to download drivers when needed.
Now I have an HP product that is not working because HP does not have drivers for all their products.
    A big fiasco from HP!
I say again, it's not your fault.
