Windows 7 dpinst.exe 64 bit version

Hello, looking for dpinst.exe 64 bit for W 7. Can not pair maigic mouse and keyboard. Thanks

There are two methods to fix this problem.
The easier method is
1. Unpair BT devices from OS X.
2. Pair them to Windows first.
3. Pair them to OS X after already being paired on the Windows.
The harder method is documented http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/72201-dual-booting-windows-7-mac-mountain -lion-both-magic-trackpad-magic-mouse-bl….

  • ITunes 7.6 and Windows XP Pro x64  ---- 64 bit version of Windows XP Pro

My wife was given an iPod nano, so I downloaded the current version of iTunesSetup.exe from www.apple.com and tried to run the executable. It told me that it wasn't designed to install iTunes on my 64 bit version of Windows XP Pro, and that I should go back to www.apple.com and download the 64 bit installer. I went back to www.apple.com and searched for the 64 bit installer in vain. There is only one main link to the current installer and the website determines which version of the installer you're given. After a few google searches I managed to aquire iTunes64setup.exe from the Apple site. I ran the executable and it told me "This iTunes installer requires that your computer is running Windows Vista 64-bit" and then it gave me the option to exit. I ended up installing iTunes from the executable I had originally downloaded. I have iTunes 7.6.2.9 installed now but it doesn't detect, or can't operate my DVD burner, so I can't rip music with iTunes for use on my wife's nano. I get this error report when I run the Diagnostic test built into iTunes.

And there was no change in the diagnostic when I first tried to repair the install and then tried to reinstall iTunes. I'm sure the burner is working because I can play music, watch movies and all the normal stuff a DVD burner can do using Nero.
I'm guessing I need an iTunes version of 64 bit optical drive driver.
    Any help would be appreciated!

I got the iTunes 7 to work on XP Pro 64bit. What I did was this:
    1. Downloaded DriverInstaller_AMD64EM64T.exe
    2. Installed it.
    3. Created this file tree: C:\Windows\Sysnative\drivers (Easier terminology, I went into the Windows folder and created a folder named "sysnative", opened that folder and created another folder called "drivers".
    4. Then I located the folder where I installed DriverInstaller_AMD64EM64T.exe ..
    5. I took the file called GEARAspiWDM and COPIED IT. I DID NOT MOVE THIS FILE!!!
    6. I pasted a COPY of this file into sysnative\drivers. The folder I just made.
    7. I installed iTunes 7, not 7.6. 7.6 and this method won't solve the burning issue. That would require more programs and more patients.
Note, you will have to manipulate iTunes when you want to burn. The best way to do this, I found, was to simply make a playlist and right click the playlist on the left column and select burn to disk. It should act normally.

  • Macbook Pro w/ Boot Camp - Best way to reformat the 32bit Windows 7 and install 64 bit version without affecting the Mac side?

Hi guys! I have a new Macbook Pro purchased from Best Buy yesterday. I had the Geek Squad upgrade the RAM to 8 gigs (They only had PNY brand, I was concerned but went with it anyway). I had them install Boot Camp Windows 7 Ultimate. Today I picked it up and when I started playing with it I learned that they installed the 32 bit version of Win 7 Ultimate instead of the 64 bit version, why, I have NO IDEA.
So, I want to replace the Win 7 installation with the 64 bit version but have read that this can be tricky. What is the proper way to do this? I'm not sure I trust the Geek Squad to do this for me.
I assume I need to reformat the Windows partition, defragment and then install the 64 bit version of Win 7 Ultimate, but am not completely sure. I want to be sure that I do NOT do anything that could affect the Mac side
    What do you guys think?

I think you should take it back to the Geeks and tell them what you want, I also think you should backup before you do.
You do not need to reformat or repartition, you need to reinstall Windows from a 64bit copy, 32 & 64 have identical requirements as far as partition and format go, defragmenting has nothing at all to do with your needs.

  • CS6 Windows - is there a 64 bit version?

    Hi,
We're trying to install a Plugin at a customer and it doesn't appear in InDesign (we're adding a menu entry to the main menu and this does not appear). Customer told us, that they're using InDesign CS6 64 bit and I've seen an screenshot of InDesign CS6 installed in C:\Program Files - this is the place for 64bit applications on 64bit windows.
As far as I know there is only a 32 bit version of CS6, downloads in the partner area give me no 64bit version too. Customer is located in Japan - is there a 64bit version of CS6 available in Japan? Or another version? How can I get this version?
    Thanks
    Klaus

Solved - customer told us that it was a 32bit version..

  • What is the best and fastest browser to use, I have Windows 7 Home Premium, 32 bit version...

if firefox is best, how do I UNinstall internet explorer 8? on my computer

The idea of the best browser is very subjective, people will have different opinions of what is the best. Why not install Firefox and try it to see if you like it.
Do not uninstall Internet Explorer, it is required by some sites, and some applications are hard coded to use IE.

  • Debugging with Visual Studio 6 (VC++) under Windows 7 64-bit-Version

I must develop some older applications (for some older customers) with VC++ (Visual Studio 6). My actual environment is Windows 7 in the 64-bit - version.
So, an old developement-environment on in a new world.
Now I have the problem, that everytime i close a debugging-session (with shift f5 or stop debugging by the corresponding menu-entry or any other keystrokes), the IDE tells me:  ".... myStupidExe.exe has exited with code (0)" but the corresponding console-windows stays, and stays, and stays and can't be killed either by itself nor by any process-tool (windows-task-manager, process-explorer e.g.).
Always first closing the IDE and than starting it again gives me new access to my "stupid.exe" and a new "stupid"-debugging-session.
Who is the name of the process, that takes the handle to my "stupid.exe" and lets a very normal vs60-debugging-process "alone" .
    Can anybody help?

    Hi,
I am not sure if for VS6 vs hosting process is available or not, but this sounds like it: the VS hosting process keeps  a handle on your exe and it keeps running on the machine
More details about VS hosting process here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms185331(VS.80).aspx
To disable it, just go to Project Properties ->Debug tab  and uncheck the option “Enable the Visual Studio hosting process”.
    hope that this helps,

  • IPhone not working with Windows 7. Message asks to install 64-bit version

Full error message; "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes".
I have just bought my wife a brand new iPhone 32Gb 3S for Christmas & now it's the most expensive paperweight I own. My wife has also just bought me a brand new 16Gb Nano, which also now comes up with error messages when connected, saying that it faild to load and I need to disconnect it & reconnect it. Naturally, this does not work either.
I'm running Windows 7 & the current 64 bit version of iTunes, but no matter what I do, the above error message comes up.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, very carefully following the exact process & order as detailed by apple, with no luck.
Everywhere I look, there seems to be references to a piece of software that should exist on my computer; "Apple Mobile Device Application Support", yet this is not to be found anywhere.
I have spent over 2 hours on the phone with the Apple techies, with no results whatsoever.
Can ANYONE assist me as I'm going completely bonkers & am about to storm into the Apple store and demand my money back?

The MSCONFIG workaround requires I-tunes and I-phone code to be installed on the machine. The problem is that I-tunes will not install on XP 64-bit machines. It will install on Vista but NOT XP. MSCONFIG requires the user to allow code that can't be on the machine until it's been installed! Apple staff have confirmed this to me over the phone after I spent half a day trying to figure it out.
There is an option, which I know some Apple staff are aware of, which has been set up by a Japanese kid and can be found here:
    http://sites.google.com/site/yukichigai/iphonex64
There are also a couple of 3rd party I-pod readers which, if I name them, will probably get me kicked off the list. Why the f*ck can't Apple sort this out. XP 64 bit has been around for FIVE YEARS!!!

  • What/Where is the 32-bit version of Windows System Image Manager?

I'm running into the problem described as follows in the WAIK documentation:  "Windows SIM fails to create a catalog for a 32-bit Windows image from a 64-bit version of Windows SIM. To workaround this issue, use the 32-bit version of Windows SIM to
create catalogs for your Windows images."
Question: Where is the 32-bit version of Windows SIM? I can only find a single download for "The Windows® Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows® 7"
Or are the 32-bit tools included in that version? If so, how do I use those instead?

    Hi,
The issue should occurs when you install the WAIK on a 64bit Windows 7 machine.
You need install WAIK on a 32bit machine.
Different binary versions of Windows SIM cannot create catalog files for some Windows images of different architecture types. We recommend using the
32-bit version of Windows SIM to create catalog files because this version can create catalogs for all Windows image architecture types. The following list describes the Windows SIM architecture types and catalogs that can be created for each Windows
    image architecture type.
    x86 Image Manager. Can
create catalogs for x86, x64, and Itanium-based Windows images.
    x64 Image Manager. Can
create catalogs only for x64 Windows images.
    Itanium-based Image Manager.
Can create catalogs only for Itanium-based Windows images.

  • Premere Elements 8 on (Windows 7) 64 bit version

I've seen alot of complaints about Premere and Windows 64 bit on other forums. Many are older versions, 4 and others. I'm currently running it in 32 bit Vista but I can't always leave good enough alone. I seen the new desktops at Walmart and found most come with the new Windows 7 in the 64 bit version along with a 6GB ram capacity and I thought I'd put the question out there.
Premere Elements 8 on (Windows 7) 64 bit version
    YES or NO

Ok I think I know the reason for this.
Toshiba provides a password plugin with their finger print manager software. After I updated my laptop with the finger print manager, Firefox stopped working, like described above.
    Solution is pretty easy:
    1) Boot firefox in safe-mode
    2) Go into Tools->Add Ons->Extensions
    3) Hit disable on the 'Automatic password input in FX 1.0' extension
    4) Restart firefox in normal mode

  • 64 bit version on iTunes?

I have now downloaded, installed, and had to uninstall iTunes 3 times. Every time I open iTunes it tells me I need to uninstall it because it can't burn or rip CD's. I can burn and rip so I don't know why it tells me this. Didn't bother me until I bought an iPhone today and tried to connect it. I receive a message saying that I need the 64 bit version of iTunes installed but I can't find this. I am pulling my hair out, or lack there of right now, please help!!!

I'm in the same boat, Windows XP x64, old 32-bit version of iTunes works, 4.6 32-bit gives me the warning:
"This iTunes installer is intended for 32-bit versions of Windows. It is highly recommended that you download and install the 64-bit iTunes installer instead. Continue with install?"
I say yes, because the 64 bit version is for Vista only (and doesn't work)
I then go next, next etc and it starts installing then I get a dialog:
    "iTunes Insatlled Completed
The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
any suggestions for getting iTunes 4.6 working on x64?

  • How to define 64 or 32 bit version of Photoshop is installed on computer?

    Hi,
Is there way to determinate (from registry for example) 64 or 32 bit version of Photoshop is installed on computer?
Both versions (32 and 64 bit) have identical records in registry.
    Dmitry

If you are a 64 bit app you can see both the 32 and 64 bit parts of the registry. See the WOW64 section for the 32 bit entries. If you are a 32 bit process you should only see the 32 bit side of the registry.
The interesting keys would be here
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop\12.0\
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Photoshop\12.0\
If you can find the second key then you are a 64 bit machine and the wow6432 is where the 32 bit version is and the other key is where the 64 bit version is. If you only find the first key you are 32 bit version and that is where the 32 bit version is. This is in theory as what happens if a user only installs the 64 bit version.
    What I do is...
If I want to launch 32 I run cscript out of windows\syswow64. The 32 bit version of cscript.
If I want to launch 64 I run cscript out of windows\system32. The 64 bit version of cscript.
Which is pretty funny given the names of the folders!
The type of user running the program of course plays into this as well. I am an Administrator and have that pesky 'are you sure you want to do something' dialog boxes OFF.
I also think you can look at some environment variables to see if you are 32 running on a 64 bit os. But I have not played with those much. Here are some interesting ones from my machine.
    PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64
    ProgramFiles=H:\Program Files
    ProgramFiles(x86)=H:\Program Files (x86)
    ProgramW6432=H:\Program Files

  • Where is 64-bit version of reset ulitity?

Bought a used - but in working condition iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen.
Tried to charge/sync it and got a dialog box - not recognized by iTunes.
Not showing up under Devices in iTunes.
Directed me to iPod reset ut ility setup, which will not dowload - its for 32-bit v windows.
Where is 64-bit version of reset ulitity?
Thanks to anyone out there than can help me.
ps;  I have done this before with my current iPod suffle 2nd generation, so I know how to sync/reset/charge etc.
    Not a newbie.

There is no 64-bit Windows version of the utility.  This utility is only for the 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle (for use when a Restore using iTunes is not possible), and no other iPod models, so a 64-bit Windows version was not needed when these older shuffles were being sold.
It sounds like the computer sees the shuffle as connected, because you get that error message.  Also, I assume your other 2nd gen shuffle works properly using the SAME docking cable and USB port on the computer, with the same Windows and iTunes installation.
This Apple document provides advice, when the computer sees the iPod but not iTunes.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363
If you can get the iPod to appear as a storage device in Windows, another thing you can try is to reformat it using Windows.  shuffle's use FAT32 as the format type, so you can select that option.  Also, choose to do a full format, not a "quick" format.  This will erase the iPod.
Then, run iTunes.  Hopefully, iTunes recognizes the shuffle and prompts you to do a Restore, which will re-erase it, install its software, and set it to default settings.

  • Windows 8 installation of VPN Client Software (x86 64-bit version) results in "Icon09DB8A851.exe" on startup task

I've just installed a VPN Client Software for x86 64-bit version of Vista and Windows 7 (vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe) to Windows 8.  It's working without problem except that it seems to add an entry "c:\Windows\Installer\{5FDC06BF-3D3D-4367-8FFB-4FAFCB61972D}\Icon09DB8A851.exe" onto startup task. I suspect the installer program (InstallShield) is not working properly.  I'd like to know if anyone has same issue or my computer got infected in malware.

Hi I have installed and config to my client a ASA 5515 and everything is fine but. When I config L2TP/IPSEC VPN for the remote work bang I have a problem. When I config L2TP/IPSEC VPN to Windows 7 with native client on Windows everything is fine, but in Windows 8.1 is bad on 1 hour after VPN connection Windows 8.1 tries to renegotiate the connection and something happens and the connection is disconnected.

  • 32-bit version odbcad32.exe (C:\windows\syswow64)

    1.     By default on any 64 bit machine, 64-bit version of odbcad32.exe (C:\windows\system32) is used.
    2.     It is also correct that one can use 32-bit version odbcad32.exe (C:\windows\syswow64) and add DB entries in System DSN .
    3.     But, even following Step 2, given above, Alter audit report is failing out.
    4.     It would be great help, if you let us know what additional step she used to run Alter audit report in WINDOWS 2008 R2 server.

PeopleSoft client tools such as application designer, datamover, etc run on 32 bit, where as PeopleTools is installed on 64 bit servers.
You need to add a system DNS for both 32 bits as 64 bits.
The 32-bit version of the Odbcad32.exe file is located in the %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64 folder.
The 64-bit version of the Odbcad32.exe file is located in the %systemdrive%\Windows\System32 folder.
This is also stated in the installation manual of PeopleTools, Appendix B Installing a database manually
    Snipet from the installation manual:
Task B-2: Configuring an ODBC Data Source
Now that you have established your database name and location, you can set up an ODBC data source on the database client.
Note. With Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above a new connectivity driver was delivered for Microsoft SQL Server databases named “Sql Native Client” or SNAC. Ensure that you use this driver during installation.
If you are running on a 64-bit machine, confirm that you are using the correct connectivity drivers. PeopleSoft PeopleTools executables are 32-bit, but can be run on a 64-bit machine. If you are running on a 64-bit
operating system you still need to utilize the 32-bit connectivity drivers for PeopleSoft PeopleTools. Use this information to verify that the ODBC Data Administrator odbcad32.exe is running from the correct
location. The ODBC Data Administrator resides in the following two locations on a 64-bit Microsoft Windows machine:
    • The 32-bit version odbcad32.exe is found in C:\windows\syswow64: This is for 32-bit applications running on a 64-bit operating system. This is the correct version for PeopleSoft PeopleTools.
    • The 64-bit version odbcad32.exe is found in C:\windows\system32: This is for 64-bit applications running on a 64-bit operating system.
When you run odbcad32 on a 64-bit Microsoft Windows machine (Start, Programs, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, ODBC Data Administrator), the 64-bit version of odbcad32.exe (C:\windows\system32)
is used by default. In order to run 32-bit PeopleSoft PeopleTools, be sure to include a System DSN entry for the 32-bit version odbcad32.exe (C:\windows\syswow64).
