Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit on a TouchSmart Elite 7320 drivers and apps issues

First off, very few of the 64-bit Windows 7 Drivers on the HP site work, but I was eventually able to get it working for the most part.
My issue is that they would like to have the HP apps installed (what used to be called the Smart Center and the Cyberlink apps).  I have tried to find them on the HP site and, of course, no luck.
I have even tried accessing the Recovery Manager to see if they can be installed from there but it only opens to Explore the files, there is no boot option or executable.
Any suggestions on how I can get a) valid HP drivers that will work and b) the TouchSmart apps

Hello MrNeelix:
My freind welcome to HP forum. What are you doing? My freind you have the right ideal but going about the wrong way. Please follow my direction to the tee. Click on start button then go to all programs search box . In the search box type in recovery manager. Now above it will be listed now open this one up.  Select Software Program Reinstallation click next in next window bing go list is now open now at a time select your software. Now you have selected software to you see that button on bottom of list called Next click it.  Bingo Presto! Please follow wizards commands. You can only install one program at a time so repeat steps as many time it takes.
Now for divers do the same steps above but this time select Hardware  Driver Reinstallation.
If for some reason this should fail then I suggest you do a full recovery from recovery disc you made because your (D Drive is corrupted. By sounds of in your post it is. Or you can order a set of recovery disc from HP's parts store. Please use your computers update page direction are given if you click ordering cd on side bar those subjects are links as well. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/searchResults?tmp_product=HP+TouchSmart+Elite+7320+All-in-One+PC&...=  Please click on Kudos if this has resolved your issue . Thank you frrw.

    Hi,
Can any one help me with the information, If the Oracle 9i ODBC drivers supported on Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit, Access 2007 as the front end and Oracle 9i database as the backend.
If the 9i drivers are not supported on Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit which version is the supported version.

There is no driver for windows 7 (32-bit) to connect Oracle 9i (9.1) for .Net.
.NET libraries for Oracle and OLE DB providers for Oracle both are available for higher version

  • Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS

Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS. I'm getting "no audio output device is installed" error after trying various different drivers. Sometimes the driver will install and I'll reboot, but to no avail I end up with the same error and a red X over the speaker in the system tray. I've tried Realtek drivers and Conexant drivers from HP. When I run Windows upgrade advisor it recognizes the problem, but Microsoft doesn't offer a compatible driver. At this point I'm very desperate considering everything else works fine and I don't want to go back too XP Media Center. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I guess this one isn't even 64 bit but it is the one on HP's site:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-46818-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
I never tried to force a driver but I think it can be done.  I seeing that in some threads.

  • Media Feature Pack cannot to Install on Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit

Hello, I have Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit in my laptop,,,
recently when I tried install a certain program it showed error telling me that Media Feature Pack is not installed yet in my laptop,, and so I download a windows  update standalone installer for windows 8 : Windows6.2-KB2703761-x64.msu,,,
but the problem is each time I try to install it shows error: The Update is Not Applicable to your computer,,
I am certain that I don't have Media Feature Pack in my windows yet,, and if this installer is not the right update for me, which one is?
Please Help Me! I need this solved badly!

Okay, my apologies, but this is the most ridiculously flawed logic i've ever seen: you're essentially stating that MSFT doesn't think business users have any use for windows media center capabilities because enterprise is for so called, "business"
use. I'm surprised that MSFT knows what "all business" needs are...and how media plays no part of "all businesses".
For example, I'm a developer - my company has given me this surface pro w/ enterprise to develop media apps on - so how is this not relevant to people outside of the consumer level? I'm suppose to go back to my boss and just be like, "hey! so funny
story - windows 8.1 enterprise, for which we pay a hefty msdn license fee for, actually doesn't have what we "really" need - we actually have need
one license for the "cheaper" version of windows because msft doesn't believe that media should play no roll in general business activities (despite how much we already pay) - oh yea - fyi - i need all my development software reinstalled
    again."
What is this... the 1990's still? Please, msft - don't insult our intelligence and
force applications to not be cross compatible to different so-called "operating systems" just because you want to take the consumer for an extra dollar.

First of all read the support matrix, windows 7 is not supproted for server side components, if you don't want to hit issues stick to a supported OS.
The error messages are telling you the issues.
Do not have spaces in any of the installation path.
    Turn off UAC

    Read documentation is useful to.

Removing Windows and .NET products configuration START
It just hangs there for ever!
Checking the log file C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs\winprod_cleanup.out and I can see the last thing in there is ""Deconfiguring ODP.NET Component...""
Any idea what could be the reason?

I was able to resolve it...Apparently I was logged on as administrator when I invoked deinstall which caused it to hang when it came to the part where it was getting ready to deinstall the .NET components...I logged off and loged in as myself and invoked the deinstall and it completed successfully...

  • Can I install window 7 enterprise 32 bit on MacBook Pro

I have installed window 7 enterprise 32 bit on my MacBook Pro but it appears no software drivers such as Bluethoot USB Bost Controller, Enternet Controller, FaceTIme HD Camera (Built-in), Network Controller...etc. Then I tried to download Boot Camp Support Software 4 but it did not work.
So, can i install window 7 enterprise 32 bit on Mac? How to solve this problem?
    Thanks!

You don't say what year/version Macbook Pro you have. Newer Macbook Pros only support 64 bit Windows. See the tables here to see which Windows your computer supports. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634
There are several reasons you should use 64 bit Windows on a newer Macbook Pro:
    Your computer is 64 bit
32 bit Windows can only use about 3.5 GB of your installed ram
32 bit programs run in 64 bit Windows
There is no reason to use 32 bit Windows in a modern Macbook Pro.

I really need Compatible Bluetooth driver for my Notebook PC to run on Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit.
(or Any other Bluetooth driver which is compatible with HP Pavilion DV6-6119tx to run on Windows 8 64 bit)

    Hi,
    Did you mean this version?
Ralink Motorola BC8 Bluetooth HS Adapter
    Version 3
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Type=Software&Name=Ralink+Motorola+BC8+Bluetooth+HS+Adapter&ModelOrVersion=3&Vendor=Motorola&Locale=1031%2C1033%2C1042%2C1043%2C1046%2C2057%2C3081%2C4105%2C16393&LastSearchTerm=Ralink%2BMotorola%2BBluetooth%2B%252bHS%2B%2BAdapter%2B&BreadcrumbPath=Ralink+Motorola+Bluetooth+%2BHS++Adapter+&TempOsid=Windows+8
According to this site, this version of Bluetooth adapter is compatible with Windows 8, so it's related to driver. Please try to remove the driver in device manager and restart the computer to reinstall to see what's going on.
Download this driver and install this in compatible mode:

I'd like to know how to fix this. Server has up-to-date firmware and drivers from IBM. It's also up-to-date on all windows updates.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    This one may help.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff559023(v=vs.85).aspx
I'd test the RAM and or get with IBM on best method to verify the hardware and drivers.

  • Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit on HP TouchSmart IQ804

I have a HP TouchSmart IQ804 desktop, which I had previously upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit with out any issues.
The IQ804 uses the NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics card.
Last night, I attempted to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.  I tried 4 times, all unsuccessful.
Here is a summary of what I did:
Attempt 1: Upgraded allowing Win 8 to keep all my apps and personal files. FAILED, black screen.
Attempt 2: Upgraded allowing Win 8 to NOT keep anything.  FAILED, black screen.
I then Googled other people's attempt and realize it may be an incompatible graphics driver.
Attempt 3: Uninstaled the NVidia graphics driver and chose a default VGA driver.  FAILED, black screen.
I then read that some people had success disabling the video card completely in Safe Mode prior to upgrading.
Attempt 4: Booted into SafeMode and disabled vidego card.  FAILED, black screen.
    ===
HP's website has not yet posted any Windows 8 drivers for the HP TouchSmart.
I went over to the NVidia's website and found that they had recently released some Windows 8 drivers...but have yet tried installing them and attempting another upgrade to Win 8.
Has anybone here have any success loading Windows 8 Pro on a HP TouchSmart??  I've seen a few videos on YouTube, but these were preProduction Win8 versions and not the retail.
Please let me know what else I can try.  Thanks in advance!!

Hello, I have good news, I too initially could not get multi-touch or gesture features to work on my Touchsmart IQ826t, however I just successfully found a solution.
The manufacturor of the touchscreen for HP, NextWindow, offers drivers for the Windows 8 pre-release OS.  The 25" IQ800 series screens are NextWindow model 1902 screens.  Below is a link to a install executable for their Win8 compatible driver.  Immediately after installing the driver I went from single-touch only to multi-touch with apparent full Windows 8 functionality.  There are other drivers on the site for other screen types as well.
    http://www.nextwindow.com/nextwindow_support/Windows_8_Touch_Screen_Driver.html
I purchased my Touchsmart 3.5 years ago with Windows Vista and fortunately I was able to get everything to work after upgrading to Windows 8.

  • Windows 7 Enterprise is not genuine after installing new hard-drive and cloning the old one

I retired from my job as a university professor two years ago, and they let me keep my laptop computer, which is a Dell Latitude E4300 with Windows 7 Enterprise installed. I do not have any of the original disks for Windows. Recently, the hard-drive began
to fail, so I replaced it with a new one, cloning the old hard-drive onto the new one. Soon after that, a popup window began appearing saying that this computer is not running genuine windows. One important consequence of this is that I can no longer use Windows
Update, so I have concerns about security. If I go to the control panel under “System”, it says windows is activated and gives me the Product ID. I have talked to tech support at Microsoft, and they tell me something along the lines of the following: that
the problem is the new hard-drive is not recognized as being licensed to use this copy of Windows, and that I should post a question on one of the forums asking this: How can I reinstall Windows 7 Enterprise on the new hard-drive? Any assistance will be much
    appreciated.
PS I have no idea which forum this should go under, so pretty much just picked one randomly.

Thank you for the reply. Below is the diagnostic report:

  • When will WIndows 8 64-bit drivers and apps be available for download

It's a bit frustrating that I can't get Windows 8 drivers and applications for my Satellite P775 because of a buggy Windows 8 Update Assistant: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=68918&tstart=0
I'm happy to download and install the relevant components manually. Do you plan to make these available for download and if so when? The web site did indicate that they would be available in time for the Windows 8 release - which is today.

Hi JoeJoe as far as I know all notebooks which were shipped with the Win 7 and are part of the Win 8 Upgrade Assistant will get the Win 8 drivers via this Upgrade Assistant. All newer notebooks series which are already shipped with the Win 8 will be able to download the drivers manually
Furthermore other it seems that Win 8 drivers will be released in three different steps
Step 1 - Toshiba Upgrade Assistant Release: 26.10.2012
Step 2 - Toshiba Upgrade Assistant Release: 21.11.2012
Step 3 - Toshiba Upgrade Assistant Release: 07.12.2012

  • Accessing to Windows Server 2003 SP2 R2 32-bit from a Windows XP SP3 32-bit leaves a fork of the explorer and its children processes !!!

When I try to access to Windows Server 2003 SP2 R2 32-bit from a Windows XP SP3 32-bit and then closes the RDP from Windows XP (the client side), a fork of the explorer and its children processes will persist in the server side !!!
Take a look at the screenshot to understand:
    is this normal behavior !?
Thank you for your understanding ;)

    Hi,
I think this is normal behavior.
You just close the RDP from client side but not log off the server, right?
    Regards.

Yes, right I closed the RDP from client side, not log off the server.

Thru the sound recorder (tool that comes with Windows 7 - Acessories), it works fine, but using Adobe Captivate 7, the "Calibrate" button cannot be clicked!
    Anyone?
