Unfortunately there have been multiple issues with the new version of Bonjour which was distributed with iTunes 9.1. Apple knows & is apparently working on a fix but for now you have a few options which might help.
1) If you don't need the Bonjour service (i.e. for Apple TV) go into system services (run msconfig from a run command & navigate to the 'services' tab), uncheck Bonjour & reboot. That should disable Bonjour & allow iTunes to run properly.
If you need Bonjour then either
1) Disable Bonjour as above, delete it & then download a copy of Bonjour 1.x from the web (you'll have to google for it, last time I posted the link, Apple removed my post). Install that one & all should be well.
2) Uninstall iTunes 9.1 & Bonjour, get a copy of iTunes 9.0.3 and install that one. That will give you the previous version of Bonjour as well. One warning, if you've opened iTunes since upgrading to 9.1, 9.0.x won't be able to open your library since 9.1 updated the library structure. Check in the iTunes folder for one called "Old libraries" or previous library or something similar & you'll have to open that to get your collection to load.
Good luck,
Lil

PLEASE HELP OR GIVE ME ADVICE, THANK YOU!!

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
    Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
    Expand Custom Views
    Click Administrative Events
    Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to skydrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post
If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem.
The work around is to edit the registry.  If you are not comfortable doing this DONT.  If you are, backup the key before you do
    Press Win+"R" and input regedit
    Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"
Did you ask this on another site???  It looks very familiar.

  • B570 windows event viewer errors

I've just noticed these errors in windows 7 event viewer, does anyone know what would be causing the problem and if there's a fix to resolve it?
     http://i.imgur.com/Imljb.png
    thanks.
link to image image(s) >50k converted to link(s)

    Hi B570,
Well, let's see.  Running the AV scan isn't really stressing the CPU and your temps look okay.
Did running the scan trigger a warning?
Do you get any warnings just running on battery?
To find out whether it's the same problem as your links, the CPU will have to be stressed while you're on AC power and the battery is charging.  Check the temp then and whether doing this triggers a warning.
It's like I said above, not knowing what the machine is doing during one of those warnings makes it hard to tell what's causing this.
I would discharge the battery to the point when it will charge. Plug in the AC and  open a browser and watch a youtube movie full screen, play some music in the background, have a couple of browser windows open. That should stress it enough to raise the temp. and "maybe" give you a warning.
If doing this does give you a warning, then charge the battery up so it doesn't charge and do the same thing as above and see if that gives you a warning. If you get the same warning doing this, then the warning isn't the same as described in those other threads.
If none of this gives you a warning, then we'll have to figure something else out.

How do I send all my event viewer error reports from 3/1/15 to the manufacturer of my computer? IN the event viewer window there seems to be a lock on opening submenu to perform a copy and paste or a SEND option available. I have a WINDOWS 8.1

You should be able to right click on each indivudual log "App, Sec, Setup, System, etc" and click on Save all events as.

  • IPhoto events view broken after import, images missing

I'm running the latest iPhoto on a 10.8.2 Retina MacBook Pro and experience some strange import problems since the end of last month.
My library holds more then 26.000 images right now and whenever I try to import some new images by dragging them from Finder to the iPhoto library the images (and videos) get imported... but when I try to view the event afterwards it doesn't open and the scrolling of the complete events view is broken. The scrollbar moves but thumbnails of events don't! I'm not able to use the events view anymore after a try to open such broken event.
When I use the regular photos view (the 2nd item in the left menu) I can see and use these new images... until I quit and restart iPhoto. Afterwards many images are missing – see http://cl.ly/JrjF for an example. I can delete those broken events... but not empty the trash afterwards. It just hangs while purging all entries.
    Has anyone experienced this already?
I'm importing iPhone images uploaded to the DropBox "Camera Uploads" folder. But I can't believe it has to do with anything related to this.
I've also disabled the Photostream feature (not the shared ones) in iPhoto because I got tired of splitted events due to Photostream missing some images now and then. Maybe it has to do with that disabled feature. I'll try to reenable it after restoring my 5 days old backup (120GB) a second time now.
Thanks for your help... let's hope I can solve this.

This sounds like a damaged database.
    Try this test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
If it's not then back to your main Library:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • IDS Event viewer error

    Hi All
Please help me out with this .I am getting attached IDS Event viewer error while trying to install it .Please let me know the probable causes and how to rectify the same
    Regards
    Ankur

At what stage of installation are you seeing this error?
It appears that a SSL certificate has expired, or an applet has a digital signature based on a certificate that has recently expired.
If you can provide recreation steps then we can figure out what certificate is expiring, and determine the next steps in resolving your issue.
Without knowing anything else my best guess at this point is that the SSL certificate on your sensor has expired. If the sensor has been deployed in your network for over a year, then this jsut could be the standard expiration of the SSL certificate on your sensor. Try conneting from a web browser directly to your sensor. When your web browser connects it should warn you if the sensor certificate is expired. If this is the case then ssh or telnet to the sensor and execute: "tls generat-key" to enforce the creation of a new SSL certificate for your sensor.
If the error is not from an expired SSL certificate, then it is from other certificate or digital signature and we will need to try and recreate in our lab.
Once you provide us with re-create steps, then there is something you might try for a short term solution as we try to re-create.
You might try setting the date/time on your PC to a few days ago. The certificate appears to have expired on April 23rd so setting it back to April 20th may make the error go away. I am not positive this will work, but may be worth a shot if you need access immediately and can't wait a day or 2 as analysis is done. This is not a permanent solution and would just be a temporary workaround as we try to analyze what certificate is expiring.

  • HP4501e "print spooler off" error after installing printer update

Motorola Android OS, getting "print spooler off" error after installing printer update... have rebooted both printer and phone to no avail... any help ideas?

    Loralee,
??  I am sorry the computer is not working.  I don't work for HP and cannot comment on lawsuits or other calamities.
If the notebook worked prior to an update -- and this is an entirely different can of worms and problems -- and you think that there is any chance the notebook is just in some sort of "tangled" state and not completely hosed for some reason, you can try the following non-lethal device reset:
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7 OR  Create a restore point Win8
If you are using a Notebook:
Close all your programs and shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook model
Boot the computer and log in
Reminder:  Hard Reset is just a device Reset.  The procedure does not wipe out your files nor does it destroy your Windows setup in any way.  This type of reset "clears the cobwebs". Depending on the root cause of the problem, this procedure can fix a variety of computer glitches.
This does not fix severe Operating System errors -- it is just a device reset.  It can fix minor problems that updates sometimes cause.

Taken at face value, the 32-bit Windows Installer Service is throwing the error.
Doublechecking ... The QuickTime Player is successfully uninstalling and reinstalling for you, despite the error message?

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key
(alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed.
You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.
Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your Sky Drive and post a link here.
To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window select Windows
Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files.

Some Event Viewer reports are generated solely because the computer is in safe mode or safe mode with networking. You have at least one example of this in your long list. If you do not see the same report for a time when
the computer was in normal mode then it can be disregarded.
You will find some general advice on interpreting Event Viewer reports here:

  • MSE Event viewer errors

    Hi,
recently I see two errors in the event viewer at every login. I think they are related to MSE. I already reformated my system but the errors occur right after I install MSE. The errors indicate that some rights are missing, but I use an administrator account,
therefore access should be granted. Please note that this is a fresh windows 7 installation without any third party software. I just install windows (no OEM), every driver, sp1, all windows updates (also recommended). Then I install MSE. After rebooting (into
an admin account) the errors appear.
I tried to reproduce the errors in a virtual machine with only win7 installed and every (also recommended) update. At first the errors didn't appear. Then I reverted the VM back to the point before I install MSE (which is after every update is applied)
and tried it again. I expected that these errors won't be there because I did just the same as before. But this time (after MSE was installed again) I rebooted multiple times and the errors appeared. I tried several other scenarios (admin/limited account etc)
but wasn't able to track down the actual cause. I think that MSE is working despite these error messages. However, when I see that the network inspection is not working, I'm getting worried.
    Errors:
    1) Event ID 7006 The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for Start with the following error:
    Access is denied.
    2) Event ID 3002 Microsoft Antimalware Real-Time Protection feature has encountered an error and failed.

    Error description: Access is denied.

  • Office 365 AAD Password Writeback not working; Event Viewer Error: 0x80230619 (A restriction prevents the password from being changed to the current one specified.)

    Hello all,
I'm currently setting up a Proof Of Concept setup with directory synchronisation and password syncing to Office 365, leveraging AAD Premium for the password reset and password writeback to on premises
AD functionality. Directory Sync + Password Sync is working flawlessly with the AADSync tool. However, upon requesting a password reset for a user, I'm hitting a password writeback error. The webpage states that the password does not meet the password
complexity policy, while it does. I can set that particular password for that account at the on premises AD without any problem.
In the event viewer at the AADSync server, I'm seeing this Error pop up whenever I try to reset the password:
An unexpected error has occurred during a password set operation.  "BAIL: MMS(4032): ..\server.cpp(11003): 0x80230619 (A restriction prevents the password from being changed
to the current one specified.) Azure AD Sync 1.0.0475.1202"
    My Setup:
Windows Server 2012 AD with a single forest
Seperate domain joined Windows Server 2012 for AADSync tool
AADSync version 1.0.0475.1202 with options password sync, password writeback enabled
Service account for AADSync tool with Replicating Directory Changes and Replicating Directory Changes All permissions
on root AD forest structure with inheritance to all objects. This account also has the permissions to Change Password and Reset Password on all descendant
    User Objects.
AAD Premium for my office 365 tenant
AAD Premium licenses for the test users and the office 365 account used to sync to Office 365. This account is also Global Admin.
Could anyone help me with this? Is there something I’m missing here? My guess is that the AAD is not trusted or the service account for AADSync tool does not have the proper permissions. I’ve tried
many options, like setting the AADSync Service account to Enterprise Admin or granting the service account Full Control over that particular user.

    Concerning my issue:
The Default Group Policy setting: Minimum Password Age is set at 1 day. As I was testing this feature with new users, their provisioned passwords were less than 24 hours old and the Minimum Password Age of 1 prevented the change of the password.
After changing this to 0 days in the Default Group Policy, my password resets started working for newly created users. While this might not have affected existing users in production, it had me looking and searching for permission issues on my AD.
So for those that might be experiencing ADSync Event ID 6329 and PasswordResetService Event ID 33008 Errors when trying to do a Password Reset using AAD Premium with Password Writeback, it might be helpful to check the applied password policy.
    The issue is solved.

  • P6N Sli Platinum event viewer error

On my new P6N Sli Platinum mainboard, every time I boot up I get the following error in the event viewer log:
"The ForceWare IP service service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified. "
I think this has to do with Nvidia network drivers. The network seems to work ok, although I have by default two network controlelrs: one labelled "1394 Net Adapter" and another "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller". Which of these that handles the actual connection seems to change randomly, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance.
I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 with all the updates from winupdate.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

On my new P6N Sli Platinum mainboard, every time I boot up I get the following error in the event viewer log:
"The ForceWare IP service service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified. "
I still get this error in event viewer each time I start up. I went to administrative tools->services and tried to enable the Forceware IP Service manually: system cannot find the path specified. The path box in the service properties is empty.
After googling I found that the service corresponds to the following executable: nsvcip.exe. This file is not found in my system. Is this normal? Does anyone else of you have this file?
Apart from the error message in event viewer my system is functioning perfectly.
