Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit activation problems ( 0xC004E003 )

I just fixed my old computer that crashed years ago (windows xp).  Windows 7 Home Premium works find just cant get it to activate every time i enter the key it loads all the way then I get an error code ( 0xC004E003 ).  What can I do to fix? 
Calling is my last resort,  would rather fix it myself it i can.  Thanks for the help

Hi,
the error code 0xC004E003 simply means the Software Licensing Service reported that license evaluation failed.
Please take a try with the option Change product key, then enter your original product key again.
Follow the steps below:
Click Start, click
Computer, and then click System properties on the toolbar.
In the Windows activation section, click the Change product key. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click
Continue.
In the Product key box, type the product key, and then click
Next.
Note Use your original product key.
Follow the steps in the Windows Activation Wizard to complete the activation process.

    I did not leave anything out from the error message.  It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..."  Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
    How do I repair this issue?  I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse.  I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

  • Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit SP1 download/install problems

    Hi all,
    Bought a brand new laptop from an electronics store in Nov. 2010 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit pre-installed.
    All is well with being notified of all avail. MS updates and I am fully patched with all of them....except SP1. I have never been notified that sp1 was available to download and install.
    I have tried everything.
    Checked "winver" and no sp1 is not installed
    Downloaded SP1 from MS website which requires validation (passed validation of course) and tried running sp1 from desktop and get error "Directory name is invalid"
    Turned off A/V and Firewall ran again and same result. Burned and .iso of sp1 ran it, same result.
    Ran in safe mode..same thing
    Ran MS troubleshooter and updates are fine
    I have KB976902 installed
    Windows Update KB2454826 is installed
    Reset windows updates
    All drivers are current
    ran sfc/SCANNOW no errors found.
    Only language pack installed is English
    Pls help

    when i come to the step Select "Typical Install as the installation type from the following options, and then click Next:"
    i am not able to the window itself , when i checked in the task manager , the setup.exe is not running in the process list ...
    why its happening .. did i made any mistake.

    This forum is specifically for XE (the 10g/11g Express Editions). From your post it seems your product of choice is a non XE edition.

    Note that no Home or Starter editions of Windows are on the requirements list of the installation guide. Make sure all pre-reqs are followed, thoroughly.

  • Boot-up & BIOS probs - H-P Pavilion P6 2130ef - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

    Starting up my PC has become an exercise in frustration.. I press the start on/off button and the screen stays black - nothing happens. It's unresponsive to ESC or F11 (to try and get into Recovery manager) or Cont/Alt/Del. It's only by pressing the on/off button at regular intervals that enables me to eventually get to the stage where I can enter my password.
    This afternoon I did a Malwarebytescan and also a Disk Clean-up.. Thought I'd fixed it but still the same problem.
    When I first got the PC I didn't make a back-up copy of the boot-up as I was waiting for a WD external hard drive - thinking what can go wrong with a new PC..? ☺
    I think my BIOS must be corrupted somehow. Is it possible to download a new BIOS?
    It's an H-P Pavilion P6-2130ef and I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

    Many times this is the result of a faulty device attached to the machine that looks like a short to the power supply.  Try to disconnect anything that you don't absolutely need and see if it start OK.  Try a different mouse and keyboard as well.

    Hi I have a HP Pavillion DV6-1355 dx windows 7 Home premium 64 bit and I have some major issues ,first when I bought this computer  I turned it on it automatically connected and downloaded a whole bunch of stuff I am not even sure what all ,my  P/N #VM222UA#ABA , S/N [Personal Information Removed] I dont even know what should and shouldnt be on here anymore . It has a sticker in keyboard area at bottom right corner and a windows 7 sticker  says Intel Duo core and yet I get troubleshooters refering to Vista ,AMD ,and several other computers .In my device manager it has a bunch of stuff with little yellow gears .I feel it has down loaded my old computers which I dont have but 1  and  my current ones which are all windows 7 64 bit . I was gong to scare my husband by starting his prinnter from mine wasnt even sure what I was doing but  I do remeber it saying that I would have to be in control over the pcs I cant remember exactly and I also wanted to make sure updates were done because my husband never did them so I thought great they will get regular updates. At that time we had 3 windows xps  1 professional 64 bit,1 hp media center 2005 64 bit and a windows xp home edition 32 bit .I didnt know much about pcs then I sought help but never got it resolved we had a differnt router and i beleave sbc global at time when I did it that computer ended up dieing so I no longer have it but yet I see its hardware listed and I see the AMD listed and SIS and Matrix with dates going back to 2003 and this computer is a 2009 . What I need to know is how to get all the stuff off here that dont belong and the true specs for this notebook we have att now and a cisco E1000 router and I know some how that the stuff from the other computers are on here .Even when I go to the HP support page it will refer to older editions of windows troubleshooters it says under collection information that  computer name is LAPTOP which i put down for the other windows 7 with a amd so I could identify the different windows 7 home premiums and I listed this dv6 as laptop .Windows version says 6.1 architecture says amd64. under publisher details it says package version 1.0 publisher Microsoft Windows,network adapter 1.0 Microsoft corporation.   • Ei.cfg not being seen by windows installer on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit retail disk.

    My problem is that the retail disk of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit has no ei.cfg restrictions. Instead of choosing the correct operating system ID, on install, the .cfg
    is coming from some where else installing a custom version of windows that is a different version of windows than on the retail install disk that I have a software key to. Even though it recognizes the key as windows 7 the operating system no longer recognizes
    the retail disk it was installed from as the same version of operating system. It seems that there is a pre operating system install to a volume that cant see the ei.cfg file on the windows retail disk. It is something like Windows ME or MCE and it is hard
    to get past because it acts  like the operating system after install. It looks like there is a complete install of windows 7 but it is only a version of ME or MCE in the 100MB range installed to a partition volume. I am given a User account Profile within
    Application Data folder  in the system. The actual windows system in its entirety does not exist in the partial virtual operating systems. All the installs are to Partition Volumes on the Partition of a GPT Server Partition on a Disk
    on the Hard drive. All Virtual.
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and 32bit retail disk is GSP1RMCHPXFRER_EN_DVD. The bios version on my Asus G75VX is American Megatrends version 206, V Bios version 80.04.97.00.13.N62G75500, EC version B14E140001. The operating system version is not the same

    The above information was taken after an install from the Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit retail disk purchased at Fry's and installed to my Asus G75VX. It is a Network Managed Client Server configuration that installs from the retail disk.

    I have been dealing with this problem since the day I purchased the first notebook from Best Buy configured this way and it was not even an Asus. It was a Samsung Chronos i7. The Asus G75VX I have now is the third notebook in a row purchased from Best Buy
    with the configuration right out of the un open retail box. None out of the three came with windows 7 installed. They had windows 8 64bit installed with the configuration. I purchased Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit attempting to get around the configuration
    problem.
    My main concern is that I use computers to do my legal documents in court cases in the United States Federal Courts and I am a pro se litigator and I have been litigating a civil action since 2011 that is still open in the federal court. I am also legally
    disable and covered by Federal Communications Act FCC Rule 255. This configuration has Telephone software and equipment, Management Software and equipment, and Networking software and equipment all covered within FCC Rule 255. My notebook is unusable for litigation
    or personal use as a Publicly Managed Network Client Server. I paid $1350.00 of my Social Security Disability income for the Asus G75VX and another $216.00 for Windows 7 Home Premium 32 and 64 bit DVD and that is not counting a list of other things to
    now have a personal notebook computer I have to sat down beside me in public libraries, Colleges etc. to use their computers to do my legal work. It is illegal and total wrong and it is a violation of the Bill of Rights First and Fourth Amendments and Title
    VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the American with Disability Act outside of 255.

  • Replacing Motherboard on HP Media Center PC running Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)

    Running OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) on an HP Pavilion Media Center m8226x Desktop PC.  Replacing motherboard ASUS M2N68-LA Motherboard 6150SE HP Narra2-GL8E with an MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) motherboard due to failure.  Both boards have same chipset and form factor.  Can I just replace board without reinstalling windows?  Do I need to install new drivers?  I don't have an install CD or install key, would Microsoft provide a key if needed?  Is there a link I can reference for MB replacement/ install?

    The OEM license is tied to the original motherboard version, ie M2N68-LA. You lose the OEM "rights" when you changed the board.

    maybe other stuff I haven't noticed?
    I see others on this forum have had similar problems going back to windows 7. I tried some of their driver solutions that were posted, but to no avail. Can I get some help? Maybe some links to where I can find drivers to help me? Windows update cannot find and automatically install replacement drivers.

    Looking at the hardware specs for your model you should be able to use all of the W7 x64 drivers and software from the HP Probook 450 G2 on your model except the BIOS and firmware files.

    I have bought a new notebook HP CQ41-224TX without OS (free dos) and upgrade the momory to 4 Gb.
    I have installed this notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and all HP CQ41-224TX driver 64 Bit.
    All function on this notebook running well accept Fn+F7 and Fn+F8 (for brightness) do not work.
    I have reinstall the HP Quick Launch Button, but nothing changed.
    Does Anyone has this problem.? and how to solve this problem.. pls let me konw. Thanks

    I got this OS Win& home premium 64bit with my laptop installed, i purchased it, it is not possible for me to purchase a new OS again.
    Is oracle dont have a solution for it...as i got the error.
    It was saying this Oracle version i downloaded work for version of Windows vista 5.0,5.1,5.2,6.0 and mine is 6.1.
    Can oracle provide something that will for my lappy's OS..
    I read many forums who upgrade from vista to windows 7 ,there oracle working fine on their laptops....
    i just need a solution with existing configuration of my laptop,rather than change my OS.

    i'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS with the latest version of iTunes (11.4.0.18).
    My iPhone 5S already installed with iOS 8.0 but now iTunes unable to do the latest "Back Up" before i can perform the upgrading of new iOS 8.0.2 which iTunes keep on prompt an error message @ iTuens could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected.
    The last "Back Up" to my computer is on Oct 2, 2014 2:24 am. Due to the failure of the "Back Up" so iTunes unable to perform the upgrading of new iOS 8.0.2 to my iPhone 5S. Therefore, do hope that my problem can be solve ASAP.

    If you are trying to back up your iPhone, but iTunes for Windows is not detecting the device reliably, I recommend starting with the steps in this article:
