Windows 7 iPrint printers not completely installed

Good day!
We are having a problem right now where printers pushed out by Zenworks policies and iPrint are not getting completely installed. A user will try to print and it will not. The only way to get it to work is to right-click the printer object in the Devices and Printers window and click "Printer Properties". At that time, a window will come up saying that the driver for such and such printer is not installed and will ask if you want to install it now only to click Next Next Finish and voila! The driver was downloaded to the computer with the policy and the object was created but it's as if the printer install wasn't quite complete. I've seen this problem intermittently in the past but now that we're doing our summer re-image in our school district, I'm seeing it a lot more. Any ideas as to what might be causing this and what I can do to resolve it? Thanks in advance!
Windows 7 64-Bit
Zenworks 11.3

No - but you should download/install ThinkVantage System Update (for Windows 7) and have it download and install the proper T43 drivers for Windows 7.  Then you'll have sound.  :^)  That's what I did for my T43.  All works fine.
Life is just one big "Beta Test"

I am trying to install the latest update for HP Printers, it will not completely install ,now my printers won't work. Help!

Hello Carolyn -  Thank you for your quick response to my concerns, I had already gone to the HP support site and tried to get the latest HP drivers, the site said for Lion 10.7 there was NA version.  So, I just used my time machine to replaced the OS from that time spot. I got my printers working again, so all right with the printer.  But, the fact remains that I still keep getting the New Update HP Printer in the software update window.  But, what happens if I try to download and install it is this:  It starts the download, everything seems to come down fine, it starts write the files and then starts moving items into place, the blue bar fills to all most the end and slows down to a stop and never completes the installation.  I have left my laptop on over night and it never finishes the operation.  I can only force quit the software update.  Which has knock out my printer drivers.  Now, I just keep unchecking the box in the software updates for new HP printer software. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just my system?  Sincerely: Professor G

  • Adobe Acrobat package built with CCP will not completely install

Adobe Acrobat package built with CCP will not completely install.  It starts out fine as if it is installing then suddenly disappears with no errors.   I am installing it under the local administrator account and simply double clicking on the setup.exe created in the build folder.  Am I missing something??

    Hi rivera2u & TRU Software,
I believe you are just double clicking on the Exception Deployer and not running the same from the command prompt . Mentioned below is the syntax that we need to use while using Exception Deployer on your machine(s).
    ExceptionDeployer
        --workflow=install
        --mode=pre|post
        --INSTALLDIR=<path_of_installation directory>
        --installLanguage=<locale_code for Acrobat>
        --abortOnFail
        --help
The same is mentioned in the link shared by Abhijit earlier.
Please do let us know if this works for you or not.

...any help will be appreciated and thanks

One person had iffy 3rd RAM.
You updated AMD graphic driver too to 11.8+ right? not just Apple's.
Plenty of free space for Windows to play with.
    Do a chkdsk
Boot from Windows DVD and run memtest and also do system check
Restore points are better used, and image Windows
    Rollback drivers works well, too
Some had trouble after NetFrame 4? update in Windows (but not on my 3 computers)
Apple drivers can be iffy and buggy
AppleHFS.sys has been known to be trouble. HFS allows for filenames that NTFS won't.
Paragon has HFS9.x driver that adds write support and does a better job
BC 4.x is still it seems trouble for more than a few (but obviouslly not in the 10s of thousands)

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
    *Firefox 24.0: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • XP Home will not complete install

Finally completed install of all components, but OS will not boot from HD.
After trying multiple installs / boot sequence changes and re-formats of the HD, I cannot get the OS to complete the install process.  After giving me the directions that the system will restart...I receive a Boot Failure, please insert disk in A: after the system has restarted.  I've tried moving HD IDE cable to Primary, Secondary and even installed a SATA adapter but I still get the error message.  Drive spins and is recognized by BIOS.  Reinstalls recognize that there is a Windows directory, but the OS will not boot.
Any help guys is truly appreciated

Tried various boot sequences but still no luck.  This is extremely frustrating since everything is rev'd up and ready to go...but the OS won't boot.
It appears that everything gets loaded to the HD but the HD will not "boot".  This will happen if I make the HD the 1st, 2nd or 3rd boot device in the sequence.
I've seen some chatter about Corsair XMS and K8T Neo incompatability cretaing boot problems.  How about the BIOS version...any suggestions or ideas?

  • ITunes will not complete installing!

I have had probelms installing iTunes for apx 2 years. (when version 6 was released).
So I thought I would try to install version 7.
I installed QuickTime v7.1 with not problems, however when I try to execute the "iTunesSetup.exe" it seem to reach the end of the install process and then I get a message stating that "The older version of iTunes cannot be unistalled".
I have gone thru all of the posts on this discussion and tried every trick mentioned when the 1603 error has occurred with other people. Yet it still will not complete the installation process.
I found the "iTunesSetupxxx.log" and displayed it to see what is occurring and it still has the 1603 error as being the last error. I have included the last part of that log below:
    fdintCOPY_FILE
file name in cabinet = QuickTime.msi
    uncompressed file size = 24522752
    fdintCLOSEFILEINFO
file name in cabinet = QuickTime.msi
    fdintCOPY_FILE
file name in cabinet = AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
    uncompressed file size = 2078720
    fdintCLOSEFILEINFO
file name in cabinet = AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
    fdintCOPY_FILE
file name in cabinet = iTunesSetupAdmin.exe
    uncompressed file size = 108096
    fdintCLOSEFILEINFO
file name in cabinet = iTunesSetupAdmin.exe
    Executing: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe" /i "C:\DOCUME~1\JOE~1.CHA\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP508.TMP\iTunes.msi"
    Returned: 1603
I have looked for the folder mentioned in the executing line and cannot locate it.
Anyone have any ideas that are outside of the normal posts listed in this forum?
I have deleted everything that is remotely related to iTunes, iPod, QuickTime, and even Apple from the registry after backing the registry up of course.
Yet I have not found a way to get around that 1603 error.
    Help!

I have investigated a little further on my initial point where I could no longer run iTunes. The last functioning version that I had installed was version 4.8. When I tried to upgrade to version 5, it gave me an error that some of the install files were corrupted and then it froze up. The only way it could be ended was by using task manager. From that point on I have had nothing but trouble. I tried to reinstall version 4.8 but I got an error on that as well. So ever since this occurred I have been trying the newest version just to see if it would accomplish the task of creating a functioning version of iTunes. Each time it will reach a certain point and give an error message about the older version could not be removed.
So that is my history on this issue.
Anyone out there have any ideas as to what I can do to at least get a version that will work installed?
Even it is the same steps that have been given before, at least I will know someone is actually listening to me and not igoring me like the apple support does.
    TIA!

  • Lion 10.7.5 Recovery install loops and will not complete install.

Hi on my Mid 2009 Macbook Pro with 8GB Ram it seems that a virus got into the system and was causing Safari to crash then affected iTunes, MS Word 2008, and others to malfunction.
    Steps taken:
    1.  Started in recovery mode on Recovery Partiion selected and recovered from TimeMachine backup
    2. On start up checked Software update and said All Up to Date.
    3. Safari still quiting unexpectedly.
    4. Started in recovery mode on Recovery Partiion selected and Installed new OS X Lion from recovery. This would not complete after 2 attempts was starting to loop. It will show the blue bar that it has 2 hrs 22 min, 1 hr 11 min, 34 min 32 ...etc then after 2 min it will then say -1,384,587,231 hours to complete, then go back to about 34 min. the blue bar is filled 100% at this point.  Then it will do it all over and over again.
I restarted and things appeared to be working okay.  I left the computer on with one web page and a Word file open while I did work on another computer.  It started a new Time Machine backup and seemed to be doing fine.  Then I heard it restart itself!  I checked to see what would happen.  It showed the grey progress bar below the apple logo like it is starting in Safe Mode, then the progress bar disappeared before completing and it just shows the spining icon for over an hour?  It appeared to be screwed.  I shut the computer off and same result to restart.
    5. Started in recovery mode on Recovery Disk usb drive selected and erased Hard Drive to Mac OS (Extened Journaled).
         Tested OK after erase.
    6. Ran Recover Lion again, and again and again same result.
    7. Left running overnight, and still running the loop and not completing.
    8. Reset SMC
    9. Reset PRAM
    10. Erased hard drive again formated Mac OS (Extened Journaled)
    11. Started in recovery mode on Recovery Disk usb drive Installed new OS X Lion from recovery - Same result loops and Never completes
    12. downloaded RecoveryDiskAssistant.dmg and created a new Lion Recovery usb
    13. Erased hard drive again formated Mac OS (Extened Journaled)
    14. Started in recovery mode on Recovery Disk new usb drive Installed new OS X Lion from recovery - Same result loops and Never completes
That is where I am at at this point. The drive is new (within 2 months or so since installed) and it reformats okay and seems to test okay in Disk Utiliy
I had also used the Terminal to run diskutil eraseDisk HFS+ MacHD "/Volumes/disk0"
This did erase the disk and had tried Lion recovery install again and still fails.  I would even try Mountain Lion, but have not upgraded to it yet. I think I need the computer working to purchase and install it.
I checked the TimeMachine back up disk on my iMac and disk utility says it needs repairs, when repairing it just goes and goes with no result and does not seem to be able to repair.
So at this point I would like to just get the laptop to install an operating system and work.  Then I will see if there is a way to recover files on the time machine back up disk.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

I have even reinstalled Safari to no avail.
The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running Lion or Mountain Lion is to reinstall OS X using OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery
You mentioned that you have v10.7.5 installed but I see v10.8.1 in your profile ??
Exactly which OS X is installed ???
Troubleshooting suggestions may be based on that information.

  • Issue with app not completely installed

App. "Quiz" related to TV show "Kruitfabriek" on Belgianfootball TV station "Vier" is being installed. Symbol appears on the screen, but installation is not complete. It now also blocks all other updates and downloads via iTunes, ...
As I try to delete it, the black "x" in the upper left corner does not appear.
How can I get rid of it and unblock?

try to reset all settings: settings>general>reset>reset all settings
if that doesn't work, or you don't want to try that right away, you could try re-syncing your apps from itunes on a computer to remove that app, then try re-downloading
also try to force quit any applications that are running, restarting your ipad will not force apps to shut down that may be using up resources
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137 on how to force quit
added: or, like sugested  above my post, you could download on a computer and sync from there

  • Final Cut Studio2 not completing install

I'm trying to install the Final Cut Pro app from my FCS2 install disk onto my new MacBook Pro (2.8GHz 15“). The installer hangs at the very last part of the installation timeline when it tells me that scripts are being installed. I have to Force Quit.
The FCP app is actually there in my applications folder after the force quit, but the installation process did not complete. It seems to work but I will have to update it to read my current project files.
I'm not happy knowing that it did not complete the install process. Any thoughts?

    Having the same problem.
Except my problem keeps occurring with the audio 1 disc. It says to insert disc 2 and when I do, disc2 is is just a text edit file saying to install 1 first. I put 1 back in and it stayed frozen at "About a minute left"
Anyone know how to fix this? I literally just took the computer out of the box and migrated my old hard drive. So there shouldn't be a problem. the computer is brand new!

  • Boot Camp not Completing install Win7Pro 32 bit

Is there a reason I can not get windows 7 pro 32 bit to install on my mac book? quick bit of info I used the owc data doubler to install a ssd into my optical drive bay… and installed my dvd into an external dvd case bought again from OWC… both ssd and dvd function fine it just seems to only go so far and either I am impatient or it is not installing win 7 on the ssd. anyone suggestions, am I missing something, or does my mac just not want to run a 32 bit version?

OS X does not cause issues, but Bootcamp is very sensitive to hardware modifications. Macs with built-in Optical drives cannot use an external Optical drive to install Windows because of the booting method used by Bootcamp Assistant. BCA updates the Mac NVRAM to boot from the built-in Optical drive physical path.
W7 32-bit has specific requirements. Please see Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems - Apple Support.
