My MacBook and all Apple devices fine I can see all my media which is stored in the cloud.
On a Toshiba notebook running Windows 7 I can see one of my tracks and nothing else.

Spotify works fine.
Any help welcome very frustrating.

Hi, archibald1948.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you do not see your iTunes library on one of your computers.  I would need clarification on if you are an iTunes Match subscriber or attempting to access your purchases in the Cloud to provide a better answer.  However, here are a couple troubleshooting articles for both scenarios.
How to troubleshoot iTunes Match
Download past purchases
Also, you can transfer your media from your other computers via the steps in the article below.

  • Windows 7 Machine - Can't update itunes.  Can't uninstall it either. What can I do to correct this?

I am running Windows 7 and I am unable to update my itunes from 10.6.0.40 (as per Itunes section 'about') to the latest version 10.6.3.
It says the feature i am trying to use in on a network resource that is not available. 'itunes.msi' can't be found.
'AppData\Local\Apple\Apple SoftwareUpdate\iTunes.msi'  Its asking me to verify that I have access to this.
I tried to uninstall itunes as per control panel but I am not able to do that either as its asks to verify that I have access to 'itunes.msi'
Please if anyone knows how to fix this I will be most greatful.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Flash drive no longer works after being connected to a Windows XP machine.

After being opened on a Windows XP machine, the contents of my flash drive now shows up on my Macbook pro as a single .lnk file. What happened? It's MS-DOS (FAT32).
Is there any way out of this or has all my data been lost? I've never experienced this issue previously.

Thanks. I've now scanned it with both Sophos and ClamXav and both have come up negative for infection.
At least while the scan was running I could see that all my data is still there as the name of each file appeared as it was going through the scan.
My efforts to sort this out seem to have made things worse as now it opens up word whenever I try to see the contents. I'll try it on a PC tomorrow and see if I can figure out what happened. Looks like the file system has been damaged in some way.

  • TS1363 Updated to iTunes to latest version 11.1.4.62 on my Windows 8 machine.  iTunes no longer recognizes my 5th Gen Ipod.  It does however recognize my 80gb Ipod Video.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes as directed (twice) & rebooted pc. no luck.

I just updated iTunes to the 11.1.4.62 (as the pop up directed me to) on my Windows 8 machine. As a result iTunes will no longer recognize my 5th generation Ipod Nano (yes two).   I receive a pop up saying "Ipod has been detected but could not be identified properly"   I've followed the recommendations seveal times: a) disconnected and reconnected. b) rebooted computer c) unistalled and reinstalled iTunes d) tried different cables e) tried different USB porst f) rebooted Ipod.... the window keeps popping up like a middle finger (you get the point)
iTUnes WILL however,  recognize my 4th gen Nano and my 80gb Video (classic) without problem
Needless to say, I'm frustrated and ticked off over all of this wasted time.
    Anyone solved this issue yet?
    Any good suggestions?
    Please advise
    Kindest regards,

    c) unistalled and reinstalled iTunes
Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

  • ITunes will not install on Windows XP machine

I have tried to install iTunes on my Windows XP machine (Home Edition - SP2 loaded)and it keeps bombing out, I have all the symptoms as decribed in the attached Support problem
*No error message displays, however the iTunes installation disappears from screen and does not finish and iTunes is not installed. This happens right after "Publishing product information" appears on the screen.*
I have tried the suggested fixes, including repairing Windows.
    Any help/suggestions appreciated.
    Tx

    Tony Sheridan,
In Windows goto control panel>add and remove and uninstall iTunes AND quicktime if there listed. Then go here and roll down to "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
Now scan your system for malware with ewido http://www.ewido.com
After that disable antivirus and any security programs then goto apple.com and download/install the latest iTunes.
If that does not work go here and install "Quicktime WITHOUT iTUnes" http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

Sorry, but this does not seem to be an iPad question. I'd therefore suggest you ask in the iTunes for Mac forum.
    Regards.

Can't install itunes on windows 7 machine. I keep getting A message stating that I don't meet min. requirements, but the machine has more than enough. What do I need to do to correct this?

Are you trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine, or vice versa?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Where does time machine store content that would be found in the Finder window under "All Images, All Movies, All Documents"? Also, I have many Garageband projects and mp3 files I can't find.

Easiest way to find time machine files is to open up the folder or application(works for email and iphoto)  they were in - then click on time machine ICON or enter time machine from the time machine menu to go back through the files.

  • On my windows 7 machine, itunes won't connect home sharing with apple tv

On my windows 7 machine, itunes won't connect home sharing with my apple tv.  This problem started about two itunes updates ago.  Any thoughts?

Try a search of the forums or the "More Like This" section to the right.
Also might have better luck posting to the Apple TV forum.

  • New Windows 7 machine won't sync Calendars, or show eMail programs in iTunes

I just got a new Laptop with Windows 7 on it, and have migrated my iPhone and iPod to it.  Was able to get the music, videos, and TV shows over, and all of the contacts, apps, and other stuffon the phone is OK.  But when I sync the iPhone, iTunes shows no email programs listed, even though AOL 9.6 is installed, and the phone will open AOL email.  When I go to the info page, it also does not show anything to handle calendars, and will not back them up.
I should add that I do not have Exchange/Outlook on the computer, nor MS Office.  I have been using open source IBM/Lotus Symphony for this.
How can I get this to acknowledge the AOL mail program, and backup the calendar.

I looked at Funambol - something is not correct here, as the version I downloaded yesterday does NOT do calendars, only contacts and photos/movies.  Maybe this only works for Android phones?  I saw an entry that implied that calendars had been added to the functionality - perhaps it has been withdrawn from iTunes.
I checked my old laptop, and on it, it acknowledges Outlook as the backup for calendars.  The new Windows 7 machine wants me to download Windows Live Essentials.  Does anyone know if this will be, or is recognized by iTunes as a backup for calendars?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jerry

I strongly recommend that you install iTunes to the default C: paths. You can change the perferences to keep the actual music files on your D: partition.
