Windows 7 network adapter drivers - bootcamp

I have bootcamped my Mac and after finishing installing Windows 7 there is no internet access and my driver for network adapter is missing... How can i solve this?

I had the same thing as you (that my BT mouse & keyboard were working but then after a while they started to act up -mouse freezing on&off, keys sticking-).
In my case the 'before' and 'after' was actually running the setup on the Bootcamp Utility disk that contains all the Bootcamp drivers. There must be a rogue driver on there that messed up my system. I ended up doing a reinstall and only installing the bluetooth drivers (that are also on the same Utlity disk, but in the $WinPEDriver$ folder. This at least worked for me.
However, by doing so I did not get the handy Bootcamp utility in the lower left corner of Windows that allows me to conveniently reboot and switch from Win8 to MacOS. I am trying to figure out if I can install that utility separately without all the drivers being automatically installed as well

  • Windows 7 network adapter drivers for hp 2000 2b-19wm, help ditching Linux....

need drivers for windows 7. the links for older posts went bad yesterday, due to a change in support website. cant get online for updates. fresh install of 7 from new software dvd, legal coa. heres the deal, friend of mine wanted me to try out Linux. So he installed KUBUNTU. I found out that support was not offered for linux based PCs for the software I want to run. the hardware manufacturer insists on windows or mac and will not support linux, ever... so I found a copy of 7, all legal, and want to roll back to windows. it had 8 on it when i bought the notebook used, and has the official windows 8 hologram sticker on the bottom, no coa.its an AMD platform, 4gb ram, 300 GB hddwant to run Presonus Artist 2 software, using a Presonus Audiobox 2x2 USB interface.

Hi: See if this driver works... This package contains the driver installation package for the Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. File name: sp63802.exe

Third Apple Care rep promised to send the link to the files, but apparently didn't.  Fourth Apple Care rep sent the link - good.  Fifth Apple Care walked me through a long conversation, during which we mutually discovered the following:
    1) The link is to two driver sets:  Bluetooth and graphics.  That's all.
    2) Installing the Bluetooth driver crashes the wireless mouse.  Bad.
    3) Apple does not have the remaining drivers available online.
    4) The ONLY way to install what is surely a reasonably generic network adapter driver is to get it from the "Everything Else" disk originally included with the machine.
It would be nice if Apple Care staff were fully briefed on these issues.

  • Upgrading from iTunes 10.4.1.10 to 10.5.3 on Windows 7 - network adapter is disabled

    Hi all,
I tried upgrading to iTunes10.5 on a Windows 7 HP Elitebook 2530p and the result is that my Wi-Fi and Ethernet network adapters become disabled.  In fact, they are effectively deinstalled - they simply disappear and I am unable to reinstall or use the Windows hardware installer to automatically find them and reinstall.  I had to deinstall the iTunes upgrade and then restore my system back using the pre-install restore point- and the network adapter magically reappear! Noticed this issue seemed to be a known problem and discussed at length on these boards.  Have not tried this update since ~Nov so perhaps it has now been corrected, but I didn't want to risk attempting again only to have to back out and waste more time.  Can anyone confirm that the current 10.5.3 update fixes this network adapter problem on Windows 7 32-bit? Many thanks, Mark

I came upon the solution in another discussion thread.  The solution is to simply wait 8 to 10 minutes on the language selection dialog box allow the install program time to find my OS 10.4.1.1..  I then clicked on "Continue" and the install proceeded without any problems.  I know am running Leopard OS 10.5.8., So far with no cliches..."knock on wood".  Thanks to all who responded to my original question.

  • Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter Drivers

Hi, I believe the drivers for my network adapter could be out of date and I am unable to find anywhere to download the drivers, would anyone be able to direct me to where I can download drivers for the Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter found in my Alienware 18 laptop, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Current Driver;
Network Adapter : Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter
    Driver Version : 6.30.95.48
    Driver Date : 05/03/2013
    Thanks, Depo.

Add me to the list of people with issues with the Broadcom 802.11ac... I have two identical Alienware 17s, one suffers from constant Wireless Adapter  resets. very aggravating anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes I am discoed and then moments later reconnected.
Additionally, I have seen the major frame stutters, but I just associated that to the WLAN resetting or getting ready to.
I have tried updating Drivers, I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, I have disabled and enabled the device, I have spent at least four hours on the Dell Troubleshooting pages looking for a resolution, so far nothing has resolved the issue.
I'm at the point I'm thinking it is the Broadcom 802.11ac Adapter
The second Alienware 17 has worked without a single issue.
I could use a little help on this one.

Just to be 100% clear, you install PSE 5 from the disk first, then after that is done, you apply the 5.0.2 patch.
Also, I wish you'd be orders of magnitude more specific ... what do you mean by "I get to the selection page"? Exactly what do you see. Describe it in great detail. Screen shot would be nice. After you see this, exactly what do you do? Exactly? In great detail
Have you tried Terri's idea of copying everything to a folder on your hard disk?
Have you tried installing this software from the disk on a different computer?

  • 10GE Multithreaded Network Adapter drivers missing?

The Sun Multithreaded 10GbE Networking Card does not have drivers available on Sun's site for either Solaris or Linux.
    The user manual is here:

    or
    http://www.sun.com/products-n-solutions/hardware/docs/html/820-0184-10/
Chapter 2 has a URL for the Linux drivers:

The Solaris drivers are supposed to be here:
    http://www.sun.com/products/networking/ethernet/index.html
Neither link has the drivers specified. Does anyone know where to get the driver packages for this card?

    Your drivers link worked.
    http://www.sun.com/products/networking/ethernet/index.html
The process was convoluted, but I ended up where I needed to be.
I clicked on the product name,
worked my way through the "Support" tab to get to the product documentation,
    http://www.sun.com/products-n-solutions/hardware/docs/Network_Connectivity/x8_exp_dl_10gige_fbr_xfp_lprfl/index.html
selected the Release Notes, and found a direct link to ...
    http://www.sun.com/download
Then I got to a general page of product choices and selected Networking/Network Connectivity
    http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Networking&tab=3&subcat=Network%20Connectivity
Aahhh ... Finally where we needed to be.
When prompted, I used my login account for the Sun download site.
    I accepted the license agreement.
I then downloaded the single 7.7MB zipfile that has drivers for
Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86, RHEL, and SUSE Linux drivers in it.
The same drivers are for that card and for the QGE Ethernet adapter.
I didn't experience any frustrations with the download, once I got to where I needed to be.
Next time, try the A-to-Z product list first.

I have it as a saved bookmark in my browser.

  • Windows Server Networking Adapter

    Hi,

"Under Initial Configuration Tasks the installer is complaining that network adapters are not detected."
What brand network adapters?  Not all vendors get their drivers onto the distribution media so you need to download the drivers from the vendor and install them afterwards.
A really quick way to install them from the NIC driver media is to issue this command:
    pnputil -i -a <driverfilename>.inf

  • DeskJet 970CXi - Windows 7 - Network Printer - Drivers solution

Hi all, i was looking for a solution to install my Deskjet 970CXi as a network printer, using Windows 7.
I didn't find anything directly concerned the network installation but only for local printer through USB port.
Many people are bored and tired about this issue.
So i decided to try by myself and using an idea taken from another thread ..... now it works really fine and it is recognized by the system as Deskjet 970CXi !!!
    Here's the solution I've found
    First part written by panther3001
    1)  in Windows 7, click the start menu
    2)  in the search field type "run"
    3) click on "Run"
    4)  type "hdwwiz" and go to "OK" - note, you can type "hdwwiz" directly on search box, or add the command "run" in the start menu ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-happened-to-the-Run-command  )
    5)  click "next," then click "install the hardware that I manually select from a list." click "next."
    6)  click "printers" and "next"
    7) select "use an existing port" and go to "USB001." click "next" (you don't have USB cause the printer is on the network) .. choose LPT1 instead
    8) click "windows update".  This causes Windows Update to look for ALL printers that exist for Windows 7, and lo and behold, The driver for the 970cxi now shows up!!!
    9)  select this driver and continue on.
    second part discovered by myself
    10) install the printer as local printer and then try to print the test page, you'll get error, don't worry and delete the print process.
    11) close the window displaying the printers and other devices
    11) click the  start menu
    12) choose Devices & Printers
    13) click on add printer
    14) choose Network, wireless or Bluetooth
    15) now Windows shows you 2 printers (one on the net and the other on your PC)
    16) choose the printer connected through the printer server
    17) from the drop list choose HP Deskjet 970CXi
    18) DONE !!!
Following this procedure i performed the network installation of 3 Deskjet 970CXi, one is mine, the second one is my brother's printer (at his home) and the last one is in my office.
Please let me know if this works for  you also.

  • Vista 32-Bit SP2 install broke my network adapter drivers

I have a T61 model 765912G. I installed Vista SP2 from a fully up to date SP1 installation with everything working. It now has yellow warning triangles in Device Manager against: Intel (R) 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection and Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG adapters. They now both show the following on the 'general' tab on their device properties:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
I have uninstalled the device from device manager and rebooted, I have uninstalled the device from device manager and ticked 'remove drivers' and rebooted, I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the Lenovo website and I have also followed the link to the Vista solutions where I was directed to the Intel website from where I downloaded and installed the most current driver.
None of the above actions repaired this issue. I do have Cisco VPN client v5.0.00.0340 and VMWare Workstation v6 installed on my laptop both of which install virtual network devices, but both worked perfectly before the SP2 upgrade.
If anyone has seen this and knows what the, or if there is a, fix is (short of uninstaling SP2) please let me know....
I have a similar post on a Microsoft support forum and the best so far is that I go to IBM - really helpful.
My line manager has the same model laptop with the same OS and had exactly the same problem, he uninstalled SP2 and everything worked properly afterwards. I'd like to persevere for a little while and try to fix this error.
I am online now by virtue of the fact that I have inserted a 3COM PCMCIA card into the PC Card slot on my laptop. This suggests that the network subsytem is OK, and it is just the drivers that SP2 has broken.

Well, the Mac OS install disk includes all the drivers you need for all the hardware you have. You don't need to download anything separately.
You don't need to download Direct X. Direct X 10 comes with Vista.

  • Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter - With any driver: "The device instance name is invalid"

    Hello there,
I was trying to install various "Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter" drivers, with versions ranging from 2007 to 2010, both from the manufacturer and specifically for this computer (a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile) and others from here:
    http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=22&system=3
All of them are for Windows Vista 32bit.
The computer had previous drivers installed and working, but also had a network problem. In the process of figuring out what was causing it, I tried to install newer drivers to see if that was the problem. It turns out the network problem was due to a different
thing that is now fixed (some dependencies of the WLAN Configuration service were turned off), but I'm still stuck installing the new drivers.
    TL;DR:
However, every time I install new drivers, after install, Windows says that
"The device instance name is invalid", regardless of what drivers I install. I even tried to install drivers for different hardware in that slot just to see what it told me and IT STILL gave me the same error. I also tried to uninstall the
current driver, checking the box to delete the driver's software, running CCleaner and then deleting
"athr.sys" from the Windows/Drivers folder and
"oem8.inf" from Windows/Inf as those files were referenced in the driver's properties. The install still gives me the same error.
The fact that it gives me this error with any driver leads me to believe it's Windows' fault and not the driver's.
Note: I am translating from the original in Portuguese. "The device instance name is invalid" is the closest/correct translation and seems about right with the info I find online regarding the english version of Vista and how it refers to devices.
This (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/microsoft.public.development.device.drivers/yFa_XnlcLJQ) and this (http://finderr.net/windows/pt-PT/O-nome-da-inst%C3%A2ncia-do-dispositivo-%C3%A9-inv%C3%A1lido-/2082573452) also seems to confirm that, though it
doesn't help me. It may be that the text is actually different in english Vista but I also searched for driver instead of device or stuff like "The device instance name appears to be invalid" and can't find anything either.
I also did SFC /SCANNOW a while ago and it found no errors.  I then repeated it again after this problem and this time, SFC found errors BUT it couldn't repair all of them. Here is the CBS log:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/bayum2rsezxpmre/CBS.log
    Thank you for the help!
EDIT: The Notebook model is a Fujitsu-Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 and their support drivers can be found here (after specifying the OS and model):
    http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/ShowFiles.asp
    EDIT2:
The last SFC /scannow scan repaired everything left to repair. The system restore option can't be used because the earliest one still has the (suposedly faulty) drivers installed.
This computer has a Win Vista serial number, but no CD and the second partition doesn't have any kind of backup. The second partition is empty though. So, as a last resort, if I really don't have a choice, I'll try to do an upgrade install to see if that fixes
it and if that still doesn't fix it I'll have to move everything in the users folder to the second partition and format the first which is a bummer :/
EDIT: Here is the setup.api.log that was inside C:\Windows\Inf and details the instalation process of all the drivers:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tyxs1e4r7rxofch/setupapi.dev.log
I'm still trying to read into that setup.api.log file.

So, can I assume that the only way to fix this error is to download an iso of Windows Vista, unninstall my service packs, upgrade install Vista, run Vistalizator to change the language to Portuguese and then install Service Pack 1 & 2?
EDIT: Alright, so I formatted the thing since the driver bug wouldn't give me a break. The details on that can be found searching for the same thread title either on tomshardware or vistaforums if anyone happens to find this looking for the same error.
I have a real knack for bumping heads with errors that nobody else gets that somehow turn into unfixable bugs. At least if someone else searches for this problem they'll know what to do.
