Windows 7 - No sound on N100 768-B9G

Hello All,
I just installed the new 7, everything's ok but the audio:
Windows automatically installed something called S/PDIF digital audio, and when I play music the lever seems to be moving, but no sound on the speakers or phone jack.
I tried installing the vista drivers in compatibility mode, tried to "update driver" or sound device - nothing.
Any idea?
Are there avaiable "beta" drivers for download?
Thanks, Ofer.

Problem is resolved. My laptop is N100 0768-DKU which has SoundMax as driver.  Here are instructions,
1. Uninstall the existing "Sound, video and game ...."  device driver from Device Manager
2. Download the driver exe file from Lenovo site
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67400
Note: that download page tells you which modal can use this drivber.
3. Run that exe which extract the package to C:\Drivers\Win\Audio by default.
4. Run the setup flle under C:\Drivers\Win\Audio directory and follow the instruction to install the new driver.
Hope this help.

    Hello Kiira Doon,
The troubleshooting steps detailed below may help get your iPhone's display to function.
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

  • Notebook dv8285ea with Windows 7: Sound driver not working

On my Notebook dv8285ea (bought in 2006), that came with Windows XP, I have mounted a new SSD drive and installed Windows 7 Prof (32 bit).  -  It works fine except for one problem: There is no sound from the speakers. I get error messages such as "No Audio Output Device installed". That is: The Sound part of the motherboard is not compatible with the Windows 7 sound driver.
Can anyone point to a solution?  -  The dv8285 is not among the notebooks that HP has provided Win7 drivers for.

I have a strange problem with my audio in Vista. I have a Creative Audigy 2 and Creative 6700 speakers. My full system specification is below but please note I did not have this issue in my previous Vista build - its only happening since I did a reinstall. Anyway, when I swich on the speakers using the remote control unit for the 6700 speakers the sound comes on but then it turns down. I have to then increase the volume by a large amount for it to start playing sound again and then turn it down to listening volume. This issue is not application specific - it happens in everything: Winamp, WMP, games, etc etc?I'm using [color="#000000"]Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series Vista Driver 2.2.0002 and I've tried reinstall several times. I've tried doing diagnostic startup etc using msconfig in case something was conflicting and its still happening.

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
    2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
    Good luck

  • Windows Vista Sound Issue

I have a Dual Dual 2.6 Mac Pro. I've put boot camp on it with Vista 32bit Ultimate.
For some reason, the only sound I get comes from the internal speaker, not my desktop speakers plugged into the rear audio jack. I looked at the Realtek panel and it doesn't show any speakers connected to the unit. They work fine in OS X. So I tried using the headphone output on the front, sure enough, the panel shows a speaker connection and it works just fine.
I tried uninstalling the drivers (from the latest Boot Camp package) and reinstalling them, following the reboot instructions. No luck. Tried using the drivers off of the Windows 10.6 disk, still no luck. Tried the recent Boot Camp update, no dice.
For some reason, the drivers are thinking that the front panel connectors are the only ones on the machine. This includes the Digital In (with no Digital Out on the front panel).
Like I said, everything works fine in OS X, it's just in Win XP Pro. Realtek drivers from their site don't help either. Any ideas?

    Hi,
I've got the same problem with latency as you. But no idea what to do. Have you tried something out new?
    regards

  • Windows Vista - Sound Blaster 24 Bit Usb - No Microphone Playback Real Time Kara

    Hi,
I don't no if this problem was just discussed in another thread, if so please giveme simply the link...
I'm Italian, so sorry for my poor english or bad translation...
    PC: Laptop, "Toshiba Satellite A 200 24E"
OS: "Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack " - All update done.
Dev.: "External Sound Blaster 24 Bit Usb" - Driver downloaded from Creative Web Site
At the very beginning I tried the internal Sound Card (Realtek) to do karaoke in spare time, but couldn't hear anything coming from Microphone. So I tried to buy an external sound card. The result is the same.
On "Record Device" I can see the Microphone Device, the level is on top, when I speak in the microphone I can see the green bar light up, if I record my voice I can hear myself when I playback, but no sound in real time.
I read that a lot of people have similar problems, but everone solves in a different manner...
    I tried:
    - I read in other forums advices about to do something like unmute microphone on "Audio playback devices" >> "Speaker" >> "Levels", but I don't see any checkbox, I can see only Speaker Level Bar...
    - As read in other websites, to add a registry key (something like EnableInputMonitor in a specific path), but nothing changes. I cannot find other Device, not in Playback Devices, and not in Record Devices.
Please help, all was great with the same microphone, on old Packard Bell Laptop, old Sound Blaster mp3+ usb, and old Windows Xp.
If no solution, I 'm going on buy an old laptop with Windows xp, or an external Mixer, but I'm disappointed on spending more money...

    well ?

  • All-In-one Desktop PC Windows 8 Sound not Working

System: HP Omni 27-1210xt Desktop PC Windows 8 64 System is 40 days old. Sound was working last night. Woke up this morning from "Sleep" mode, no sound. What I Did:made sure nothing was muted, tested with a few different applications, no sound.Device manager - device working properlyDevice Manager - updated driverDevice manager - rolled back driverHP Support - installed most recent audio support driver from HP.comHP Support - installed ORIGINAL Audio device driver from HP.comHp Support from another thread - UNINSTALLED the audio device driver, restarted, Windows 8 64 automatically reinstalled.  still no sound posting on here for help. Thanks

fixed it. I got to looking on several other threads and discovered some programs gain "exclusive control" of your audio device when they are running, even when they are running in the background. I figured there might be something running in the background, found nothing but went into the speaker setting (clicked on the speaker in the taskbar in the bottom right of the desktop), then clicked on the speaker image which took me to the speaker/audio options, went to "Advanced" and unchecked the 2nd box "Give exclusive mode applications priority". Works like a charm. We will see when I restart/shut down.

  • Force exponential window in sound&vibration toolkit

    hello,
I work on shock acquisition and analysis. I would like to use a window "force exponential" before computing fft. But I don't find the vi to do it directly in sound&vibration toolkit and VI express toolkit.
So I try to do it by using the VI in signal processing toolkit (see the link picture please) but I lost the time data information (the VI uses array data and not dynamic data with time). how to recover the time data?

  • Source Window play sound in sync with Timeline.

When I originally opened the source of my Audio in Premier Pro CS5.5 the sound in the Source Window would play in sync with the Timeline.
I clicked on the audio to try to zoom in closer - which I'm not sure how to do; any guidance appreciated as I'm trying to see the beat of the music and change my slideshow to change pics accordingly with the beat.
However now when I play from the timeline my Source Window no longer plays in Sync to get me prepared when a beat is coming.
Also how does one use the Asterisk * key to set a marker. I've tried hitting shift, 8 and fn, 8 but does not set a marker.
Sorry; a lot of questions here.

Sorry, just to clarify. By dragging the frame indicator along the timline.

  • How to turn of the "new tab/window" click sound in Firefox 4?

I have just installed Firefox 4.0.1 on Gentoo Linux.
Any time I open a new tab or window, there is a "click" sound. It sounds deliberate, like a notification.
The sound persists even when turning all addons off.
How can I disable that sound?

I tested this on my coworkers iPhone 5 running iOS8, and it does not occur for him. So it must be a bug. I am posted a bug report. Here is video of the issue happening: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6t7gwmvj0gc3wvh/IMG_3519.MOV?dl=0

To be honest, this is a pointless post. You're going to have to check your machine to see if there's an additional PCI slot that can take on the audigy SE. If so, then you already know your inspire t3030 can be used. Even the onboard sound with your motherboard should be able to take it on (assuming your emachines PC has onboard sound). I hate buying emachines, HP, and Compaq PCs they lack expandability.
