Windows 7 office 2013 acttivation

Why must I activate my windows 7 microsoft office home and business 2013 every time I start up my computer and access a program (outlook) in office 2013??? I get the message "sorry we ran into a problem while trying to install the product key. If this
keeps happening you should try repairing your office product. (system error: 0xc004d301)".  When I key the option "repair now" it works for a while and either comes back with the same message, or it shut down my program which upon restart
come up with "activate Office".

Hi,
Based on the description, you can't activate Office 2013 on your Windows 7 machine. Since we are not sure about the product key status or the local licensing policy, the best approach is the customer service.
You can find the local customer service number from this link below:

I have a user who is sending calendar invites from his iCal to users on Windows XP and 7. The Windows XP users are getting the invites in their email (Exchange,) but the Win7 user is not receiving these invites.  Anyone have an idea how to correct this?
What other info do you need to resolve?

  • Microsoft office 2013 encountered an error during setup in Window 8.1

Initially, I got microsoft office 2013 64bit standard version installed in window 8.1. However, it suddenly got errors when opening office, and closed the program automatically. Therefore, I uninstalled it, and tried to re-install office.
However, I got the error "microsoft office 2013 encountered an error during setup" everytime when I try to install it.
I tried 32-bit and 64 bit version, and tried to install in clean boot, deleted registry, and modified the folder name "Microsoft Help", but none of them works.

Make sure you completely uninstall previous versions of Office. There may be remnants left behind, even after you uninstall Office using the normal procedure. I recommend using the “Fix It” utility to uninstall Office 2013 completely. Please refer to this
article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501/en-us you might also follow the manual steps provided on the same page.
If you still having problems, re-registering the Windows Installer and checking permissions on the %TEMP% folder and the C:\Windows\Installer folder to make sure you have full-control. To re-register the Windows Installer run the following commands:
    msiexec /unregister
    msiexec /register

  • Cannot install PIA on Windows 8.1 64-bit with Office 2013 64-bit

I am building a clean machine after a hard drive failure.  Everything is finally reinstalled WITH THE EXCEPTION of the Office Interop for Office 2010.  I have a clean install of Windows 8.1 which also has Office 2013 installed.
The documentation for the 2010 library is that it only requires the framework 2.0 present (which is) so it should install.  However when I run the installation program is throws up the window "determining requirements" runs for a few seconds
    then disappears.
All I need is to get these things showing up in the GAC so I can get a clean build.  But try as I might I don't have them showing up at all.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
    ADDITIONAL INFO:
When I run the MSI file it brings up the window that says it is gathering information.
This run for about 1 second (if that) moves the progress bar about halfway across, then stops and closes down the installation.
We also installed Office 2010 and reran the PIA with the same results.  *sigh*

Why do you need to install Office 2010 PIAs?
Consider embedding interop types into the assembly without using PIAs on the end user PCs.
Beginning with the .NET Framework 4, the common language runtime supports embedding type information for COM types directly into managed assemblies, instead of requiring the managed assemblies to obtain type information for COM types from interop assemblies.
Because the embedded type information includes only the types and members that are actually used by a managed assembly, two managed assemblies might have very different views of the same COM type. Each managed assembly has a different Type object
to represent its view of the COM type. The common language runtime supports type equivalence between these different views for interfaces, structures, enumerations, and delegates. See Type
Equivalence and Embedded Interop Types for more information.
You just need  to set the Embed
    Interop Types property to True.

    Hi,
At which specific percentage will the setup hang? Vuk is right above, but it's really hard to say what's the cause of your case.
Please first take a look at this KB article and see if it is helpful for you:
Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 hangs during setup
I would suggest you go and check the setup log files to troubleshoot the issue, which is the best way to narrow down the issue I think.

  • Microsoft Office 2013 is not working on Windows 8

I downloaded Microsoft office 2 days ago.  Since then Window 8.1 update has basically attempted to ruin my life.  Since I attempted to download the update (which will not download properly no matter how many times I try) Microsoft office will not
open on my computer.  All the apps are still there. But they simply will not open. I have tried going to the start and typing the stuff in safe mode, still nothing happens! Can someone please help me? I am beyond frustrated with my brand new computer,
Windows 8.1, Microsoft, and everything about this situation.

    Hi,
Did only the Office suits not open or all the apps after you upgrading to Windows 8.1? Please do the following tests to narrow down the issue:
    First test:
If only the Office suits could not be opened, please go to Office 2013 installed folder, such as C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15 and double click apps to open them.
If all the apps could not be opened, please press win+R and copy the path:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1} to Windows 8 app folder double click apps to open them.
If they are both opened in folder, please try to unpin and repin apps on start screen.
If they still do not work, do the second test.
    Second test:
If only the Office suits could not be opened, please try to re-install the Office 2013 to test.
If all the apps could not be opened, Please follow these steps to check the issue.
    Step 1: Try App troubleshooter:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/4/F24D0C03-4181-4E5B-A23B-5C3A6B5974E3/apps.diagcab
    Step 2: Re-register app files:
Run the following in a Command Window (CMD) to re-register the Store App:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML
    For your reference:
Fix Store App in Windows 8.1 (AppxManifest.XML)
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/notime/archive/2013/10/18/fix-store-app-in-windows-8-1.aspx
Step 3: If the issue still persists, please try to log on with local account and re-bind your Microsoft account in Windows Store to see what’s going on.
    Hope these could be helpful.

  • Error in Plugin Installation For MS Office 2013 on Windows 8 and 8.1

    Hello,
We have developed an installer for MS Word and MS Excel plugins. So far it has been working fine for MS Office 2003, 2007 etc. but since I have upgraded to a Windows 8.1 machine with MS Office 2013 installed, the plugin installation is giving error.
The installation fails and an error dialog appears with Error Code Type: Error, Error:1, Owner:30a.
The installer works well for MS Office 2010 on Windows 8/ 8.1 machine or MS Office 2010 on Windows 7 machine.

    HiDinesh,
Is there any other error message when installation fails?
According to this error message “Error Code Type: Error, Error:1, Owner:30a.”
This is problem conclusion provided by IBM:
This issue is no longer reproducible in V6R2012x.
Installation checks have been modified to throw an error only when none of the Office applications
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) are installed. This error will not occur if one or more of the Office products are installed.

  • Office 2013 hangs when saving files to local profile locations on Windows 2012 server

We installed Office 2013 a few weeks ago instead of Office 2003 on a Windows 2012 standard terminal server. We installed the last updates and Office is up-to-date now, but we experience problems with saving word, excel and powerpoint documents when we start
a new/clean document. It's not possible to save our documents to the local profile (desktop, documents etc.), but it's no problem to save our stuff to a network share on a different server.
Word is not responding after pressing save or save as and after a few seconds we see the 'microsoft is looking for a solution and will restart microsoft word'.
We did a complete reinstall of Office 2013 and removed the old installation with the removal tool from the microsoft website, without luck. We have the same saving issues with Office 2010, so it's not an Office 2013 issue.
We were looking in the access/rights on the terminal server, because we thought that it was an access/rights issue. But unfortunately we have the same problem with an domain admin user.
I tried to disable DEP and my AVG 2012 antivirus, but this steps are also not the issue.
I'm looking for a solution and i'm working on this case for a few days now. It gives me a headache when i'm thinking about a clean installation of this server. So please contact me when you have a solution or a tip to solve this problems!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
In regarding of the issue, it may be caused a lot of reasons. Please check to see whether the following link is helpful:

Then Office hang when saving the file also may be caused by a printer installation.

  • Printer driver hangs when printing with Office 2013/Windows 8 64 bit

    Printer: HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi
Printer Driver: V5.1 (up to date, downloaded from HP support website) or Generic V5.6
    OS: Windows 8 Professional 64bit
When I try to print a certain Excel document with Excel 2013 and printer driver V5.1, the program hangs and needs to be terminated via task manager. This happens always with the same document, but not with all documents. The program hangs also when opening the print preview for the same document.
The same document prints fine with the generic printer driver V5.6 and with the driver that comes with Windows 8.
The same document prints fine with driver V5.1 under Windows 7 and Office 2010. The combination Windows 7/Office 2013 was not tested. The combination Windows 8/Office 2010 was also not tested.
When I try to print an empty document with Word 2013 and generic printer driver V5.6, the program hangs and needs to be terminated via task manager.
My conclusion is that the HP printer drivers have a problem with either Windows 8 or Office 2013 or a combination of both.
The printer driver that comes with Windows 8 and is automatically installed is useful as a temporary workaround, but it lacks certain options, e.g. manual duplex.
On request, I am ready to send the Excel document by e-mail for verification of the problem.
Any help or suggestions will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Uli
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

From what you describe you are having issues printing from MS Office. Have you had trouble printing from other resources on your computer (e.g. from the internet or another program)? The first thing I am going to suggest is that we start by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer from the resources available online.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it (this is important). Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
