Windows 7 Partition on MacBook wireless abilities?

So I recently partitioned my harddrive to be able to run my windows 7 on my macbook (for the obvious purposes.)
It all went through smoothly. My mac partitioned fine, and windows 7 installed properly. Now I can't connect to my wireless Airport Extreme network, because Windows 7 Wireless won't let me enable it. I'm sure its driver related, but I'm not sure how to solve this.
Cookie to whoever helps me with this issue.

Did you install the Boot Camp 3.0 drivers from your Snow Leopard install disk? If you have you might try the 3.1 and 3.2 updates http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search&src=support_site.home.search_sugge sted.search&locale=en_US&q=%22Boot%20Camp%20Software%20Update%22%20OR%20%22Boot% 20Camp%20Update%22

Hello, I have mistakenly deleted all partitions on my mac while trying to install windows on my macbook pro, how do i reinstall the mac os back. I just wanted to have them both, please help. thank you in advance

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Macbook Pro gray loading screen, only windows partition boots

I have a macbook pro mid 2010 running Mavericks 10.9.1. Upon start up I get the gray screen with the loading bar/circle. I tried to start it using safe mode but it says there are directories, and files missing. I can only boot up in the windows 7 partition of the hard drive. I can access the Macintosh HD files through the windows partition but I can't boot up into the hard drive. When I start it using recovery mode, disk utility displays the Macintosh HD as unmounted and I can't mount it. Running disk verification says there is an error and to try disk repair. Disk repair says there is an error and to restore the disk and reinstall OSX. I have everything backed up but I can't seem to restore the Macintosh HD and can't re-partion the hard drive into one partition.
I don't think it is a hardware error since I can access the Macintosh HD files and directories, but don't know what else to try.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X

  • Bootcamp/Partitioned my Macbook Pro with Windows 7, No Internet

So I ran bootcamp assistant, installed Windows 7 (Pro) and partitioned my Macbook Pro (running Mavericks), and in the first runthrough I had a few bad hard links, which was an easy fix. So I tried again, got everything installed, and when I tried to run windows on my partition, there's no way for me to connect to my wireless internet, nor does it give me any options to select from in trying to troubleshoot. I can connect just fine when running Mavericks, but cant even diagnose the problem in windows. Thanks

I'm not sure what "a few bad hard links" means. It sounds like you didn't install the drivers for the Mac hardware. Start here:

  • Wireless on windows partition on mbpro.

Unable to setup wireless on windows partition on mac book pro. I used the bootcamp assistant to install windows 7 professional. Need some help!!

You should vivit the Boot Camp forum where Boot Camp related issues are discussed and besides, the Boot Camp gurus hang out there. https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp
They will want to know what version Macbook Pro you have and whether or not you installed the Windows drivers after installing Windows.

You can use XP but it has to be in a Virtual Machine and OS X as the host instead of as a dual boot system with XP in its own partition. That is how I run Windows on my Mac, in a Virtual Machine.
Take a look at VritualBox from Oracle. It's free and works very well.

    Hi LamboMong,
    just try this:
    http://refit.sourceforge.net
install, reboot twice and choose the Windows-Partition on next startup.
(The apple-bootloader doesn't display all bootable harddisks.
With rEFIt you can boot from all partitions/harddisks on your computer.)
I hope that will solve your problem.

I have recently upgraded my MacBook to OSX Lion. Now I cannot get access to my windows-partition. I cannot choose booting from OSX Lion or Windows. Who can help???

I believe that Lion and Mountian Lion use BootCamp 4.0 and earlier versions used 3.0. I don't use BootCamp but from reading The link below you need to get new drivers, burn a cd and install. Check out #20 on this page.

  • Windows XP on MacBook Pro - Can't connect to wireless after bootcamp, why?

1)I just bought MacBook Pro, just did a boot camp with windows xp. With Windows xp installed, it can't detect wireless network. What went wrong?
2)When setting the boot camp, do i need to have the boot camp driver? Why?
3)Can Windows xp on Macbook pro use the same built-in modem, or do i need to get a modem/ adaptor for windows on mac, so the wireless (on window xp on mac) would be able to work.

Did you install Apple's bootcamp drivers after you installed Windows? You should be able to accomplish that by booting into Windows and then inserting the installation disc that came with your MacBook Pro. Without Apple's drivers, Windows may not know how to use the wireless circuitry on your Mac.

With the proper drivers Windows should be able to use the wireless equipment that came with your Mac.

Yes.  Switching to Mac might be overwhelming at first, but it is not difficult.  I Just started using Macs regularly about 9 months ago after using only Windows based pc's for over 15 years.  Macs come with TextEdit , but you can also purchase MS Office for Mac or use Apple's version, called iWork.Yes, you can partition the hard drive of a Mac.  Read these also: http://www.apple.com/support/switch101/, http://www.apple.com/support/mac101/.  With regular use of a Mac, you will be able to use it without even thinking about it, just like how you learned to use a WIndows pc.

  • Can I get rid of a windows partition on a MacBook running 10.4.11 without having bootcamp or bootcamp beta?

Can I get rid of a windows partition on a MacBook running 10.4.11 without having bootcamp or bootcamp beta? If so, how?

Yes, I think so, as would Snow Leopard probably. If your computer meets the requirements it would only cost $29 to buy Snow Leopard versus $129 for Leopard.
    Snow Leopard General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel processor
    1GB of memory
    5GB of available disk space
    DVD drive for installation
Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
    Leopard System requirements
You must have a Macintosh computer with:
an Intel processor or a PowerPC G4 (867 MHz or faster) or G5 processor
    a DVD drive >built-in FireWire
at least 512 MB of RAM (additional RAM is recommended for development purposes)
a built-in display or a display connected to an Apple-supplied video card supported by your computer
at least 9 GB of disk space available, or 12 GB of disk space if you install the developer tools
