Windows 7 RC1 not recognising my fatal1ty headset microphone

greetings,
I have got a problem, I recently switched to windows 7 RC1 and now I cannot get the mic to work.
My soundhardware:
x-fi titanium soundcard
fatal1ty gaming headset (not the USB one)
sound output works normal, windows even recognises that my line-in is active BUT I am getting no input from my microphone at all.
Anyone know what this could be? (I am running the newest beta drivers for my soundcard btw)
thanks in advance

Hi Vanilla,
sorry to see that no one has replied to your problem.... I have the same issue here.
I used to have Vista 64bit installed on my Desktop with a Vista that is supposed to be onl;y used for my Dell Laptop......Windows has noticed this and will not let me do updates anymore to my Desktop
So I reinstalled Windows 7 64bit that I had installed a while ago and now I have no mic to use on Teamspeak. My headset (Sennheiser PC350) worked with Vista 64bit. I am just doimng the Auto update from Creative and have also downloaded the beta drivers from Creative for Windows 7. If I have any luck getting my Mic working I will let you know. I would appreciate if you could do the same to me if you get yours working.
Good luck to both of us.....
Cheers

  • IPod Nano: Error Message "The USB device has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it"

Hi everyone, I just received 2 brand new iPod Nanos for my kids for Christmas, thought I'd be smart and sync them both now before wrapping them so I don't have to be messing around with them on the day. One synced without a problem, then using the same cable, same computer, same USB port, the 2nd one came up with "The USB device has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it" I've tried restarting my computer, unplugging and reinserting the USB. Is there anthing else I can try before returning it? Thanking you for any help.

I have solved my problem, I ended up ringing Apple and got an awesome lady who told me to reset it by pressing the sleep button and menu button together for about 10 seconds and once it actually turned on for the first time the computer then recognised it, so it's all good, :-) Thank you lovely lady!

  • IPod is charging and recognised by windows, but not recognised by iTunes.

There was an error message but stupidly I did not read it, and it won't come up again. I've tried restarting my laptop, re-installing iTunes, restarting my iPod and all sorts.
The reason (I think) it stopped working was because I was trying to copy music from my iPod to my iTunes, and windows was not recognising it, so a friend suggested deleting and re installing the driver, which was successful. But when I then went on to iTunes, it came up with the error message saying something about the iPod no longer working with iTunes or something, and now won't recognise the iPod no matter what I seem to try.
Is there anything I can do without deleting all the music and resetting the iPod? Because the whole reason I was trying to do this was to back up the music so I could update to ios 5.1 or whatever it is, without losing all my music which I don't have on iTunes as it's a new laptop.
    Thank you.
    Ben x

    Try here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    I would start with:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
It will not delete your library.

    Hi ameet2005,
Please check if the following suggestions help:
First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
    1. Click "Start" button, type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press "Enter". Click “Continue”
    if necessary.
    2. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
    3. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
If the issue persists, please check if it can be resolved by running
    System File Checker.

  • Windows Vista not recognising my 5th Gen 30gb iPod

I recently lost my USB lead for my iPod and purchased one from eBay which was for a 5th generation iPod or iPhone... When I plugged in my iPod with this cable, a message box popped up to say that my "USB Device Not Recognised" and that it had malfunctioned. I have tried both my USB ports, resetting the iPod, updating the iTunes software, checking that the USB power is on, updating drivers.
The iPod is charging when plugged into the laptop.
Is there anything else I can try before trying to find another new cable?!

I would just hurry and get a new cable, but start with these articles and see if that gets you anywhere...

  • Windows PC not recognising iPod Touch / ipad

Recently I've run into this intermittent problem.
Sometimes when I connect my iPod or iPad to my PC Windows simply fails to recognise that my devices are connected. To the point where the iPod won't charge because the connection is not there.
There a bunch of things I thought it might be. Faulty cable, bad drivers, windows, bad connector on both devices. The thing is its quite random and a simple reboot solves the problem every time.
In any case I have reinstalled windows with no effect, so I am wondering if its an issue with the Apple drivers that come with the latest iTunes as it is a fairly recent issue.
Anyone else had an issue like that?

  • Itunes and windows do not recognise any of my devices(iPod nano, iphone. 3G) yet they still charge from the PC?

My iPhone 3GS does not appear on the source list or in windows so I cannot sync it to my itunes. However the device is charging and the cable used works well as I often use it to charge all of my devices. I have tried this on multiple computers and it does not work on either which suggests to me it is a problem due to my itunes account settings or something. How can I make my device recognised? I have read and tried the steps from apple support.

    Hi there Fifahelp,
It sounds like you have already tried a few things, but you may still find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful. Please be sure to perform each step in order before moving on to the next. If you experience any errors, please reply with the error and which step it occurred on and I may be able to point you in a better direction.

  • USB Mic in Windows XP not recognised

I have a Plantronics Gamecom Pro 1 USB headset with mic that is supposed to work with both Windows XP and Mac OSX. It works on the OSX side of my Intel iMac but isn't recognised on the XP side (Bootcamp drivers all installed). I get sound to the earphones but my voice isn't coming through to the computer.
I've never been a Windows user so maybe there is something I haven't done to let XP see it? Anyone know how to set this up?
    Thanks

Is there anyone who knows the networking workings in Leopard to help me identify the problem??
I have no modem problem, since I can use the same system in dual boot with Windows XP. The problem must be a file or a setting in Leopard that is blocking my connection to the internet.
I dunno, it could be related to Java or how some scripts are executed by the operating system.
If I don't solve this one, I'll have to reinstall the whole system again. Come on, help me guys!
