Try the above package and works well with your card.
The drivers on the original VISTA CD work too. There is some problem in the installation script of the drivers after the original that will not identify this properly. If you install the very first driver in vista, or install the very first driver in compatibility mode in Windows 7, it will cement the card in place, and then you can upgrade all the drivers you wish to.
Daniel K. fixed that problem with his support pack. After install you will have everything you need to use your card and then you can upgrade anytime Creative chooses an official upgrade.

  • Windows 7 X-Fi Titanium Driver Issue

% On a clean install of Windows 7, after intalling the latest driver for Windows 7 for the X-fi Titanium, 6.00.00.347, I lose one of my my Windows sounds, the "start navigation" click sound. However, if I install the drivers from Windows update, 6.00.00.323, the "start navigation" click sound returns. I have tried both drivers several times and I was able to reproduce the issue each and every time.

: Happens with me as well. And, notice that even when start navigation sound works, it pops a lot if clicked repeatedly.
    Strangely nobody posted any comment here,?in other hardware forums normally Windows 7 sounds issues with X Fi series?are hot topics. I hope this get fixed soon;
    Cheers.

  • [CRASH] Win7 64bit + X-Fi Titanium BSOD OPENAL

i'm just sick about blue screen window with the xfi titanium.
When Creative will release proper driver for WIN Seven 64bit's
    here is the log:
    Bug Check 0x3B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff88004ec32dc, 0xfffff88006a090, 0x0000000000000000)
The driver involved is ALWAYS ha20x22k

does the BSOD occur while gaming? if so, what game? or does the crash occur while at the desktop? when playing music? watching DVDs?
If you believe it to be related to OpenAL, make sure to update/replace the OpenAL files in the game directory with the latest ones from the OpenAL release in summer 2009.
As well reinstalling the soundcard drivers to make sure they are 00% never hurts

That is something with CDroms, or programs that you installed that have to do with CDrom.
Could be some old version of Nero to name something.
Looks to me you install something that deals with CD/DVD(/Bruning) that causes this.
    Or your DVD/CDrom is broken.
Hi bas, i just plug the dvd room for installation then i unplug it from the motherboard
    thanks guys.

  • Burn Bin image on Toast Titanium

    Hi
I ve created a bin image of Windows XP using Toast Titanium 7, however the program refuses to write the image. I also get an error when trying to mount the image file under the toast format.
Any ideas on what is causing the problem?

Followed your advice and I made some progress.
I exported my project from FCE using the Quicktime Movie option and it comes out great. I tried putting in iDVD and putting it on the Dual-Layer Disc setting Project Info and it appears that it will have enough space to come out ok.
A new problem is that my project on the iDVD playback is being played in fullscreen when its supposed to be played in its original widescreen format. I'm not excatly sure what to do next, especially considering that another video in the same project with the same specifications and formatting is being played in its intended widescreen formatting...

Some of you had the same problem as me:
iTunes did not transfered the songs etc, etc...
i found how to manage that problem!
    1. Uninstall iTunes

    3. Open YamiPod
    4. Connect you iPod
    5. YamiPod will say in the blue bar: "Connecting"
    6. Drag & Drop the songs you want to transfer to your iPod to the bottom table..
    7. There will appear a pop-up
    8. in that pop-up, click on add all.
    9. Songs added
This worked here by me so it should work by you guys too!
If someone from apple reads this: imo there is a prob with iTunes and not with the iPod software
Tell me if it works by you

  • Windows 7 64bit and Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium - No rear sound

As the title says I have a sound blaster x-fi titanium running on a windows 7 64bit box. I have downloaded all the latest drivers and tools from creative. The issue is no matter what I do I cannot get the 5. surround working. I have the front 3 speakers working and I can even get it to double the two front side speakers to the rear, but not true 5.. I have tried both DD li've and DTS. I have an Onkyo HT-R550 receiver that supports both DD and DTS and I'm connected over a digital optical cable. Trying to figure this one out!
I've gone through all the modes in the creative audio software and tried all the surround modes on the receiver.
    Please help

Ok. I have actually formatted my hard dri've to fix another windows and I'm back where I was. I'm testing using the speaker page in the console. I get great sound from all 3 front speakers and my sub. What I've found when clicking the back two I will get a very quiet but clear test voice through both rear speakers, no matter which side I picked. Also the bass portion of the test comes through the sub as normal. I can't seem to get the rear speakers to test any louder.
I did the surround sound speaker test and it all sounds good (without the PC involved). Also my PS3 plays great surround sound through it using the same optical cable.
I also tried your suggestion with no improvement.
    What's next?

  • X-Fi Titanium PCI-e making high pitch squeal on Windows 7 with HPET enabled

Two days ago, I tested an older Radeon 4800 to see if it still worked. Long story short, some how I screwed up my integrated sound (Realtek). I reinstalled Windows last night, and after several hours of hair pulling, still wasn't able to get it to properly play sound at all. I disabled the on board audio in the BIOS, installed my X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional PCI-e I had sitting around, and finally had sound working again (through the X-Fi). Sound was fine using the default Windows drivers, however after installing the Creative drivers, it's constantly making a very high pitched squeal. The squeal doesn't change at all, and it's constant, if I had to guess I would say it's at the very or near the very end of my audible hearing. This was the same story when I first installed the X-Fi card when I first built the computer one and half years ago, which I eventually removed a few weeks later to simplify my build and stuck with the on board audio. Back then, I figured out a way to get rid and it involved disabling the High Precision Event Timer (HPET) in the BIOS. I did the same today and it removed the squeal, but I'm wondering if there's any way of getting rid of the squeal without disabling the HPET. What confuses me is why the Windows sound driver didn't squeal but the Creative one did. Windows 7 is fully up to date, as are the drivers.

When installing the Dolby and DTS connect packages, you need to right click each and choose to install them in VISTA compatibility mode. Then they install just fine.
As far as your driver issue.........
do a search for DRIVER SWEEPER from guru3d and that will uninstall your driver and hopefully put you back to a good reinstall. Also inside your driver folder you can look for utility called CTZapp that will uninstall all traces of that driver so that you can reinstall it properly.

  • X-FI Titanium + DDL Encoding + SPDIF Out Configuration on Windows 7 x64

?My setup - I have an X-FI Titanium running on Windows 7 x64. The optical out of the X-FI is connected to a splitter - one goes to my speakers (Logitech z-5500) and the other goes to my headphone amp (Astro Mixamp). I'm running the latest beta driver and daniel's last support pack, along with the latest DDL and DTS packages.
When I enable DDL encoding in the creative panel, it says I have to set the default device to be Creative X-FI (Speakers). Why not SPDIF out? If I set SPDIF Out as the default device, I get no sound. If I reboot, I get a blue screen.
If I set speakers as default, I get sound from both the speakers (if I connect analog) and optical out. I thought this configuration wasn't possible anymore on Vista/Windows 7?

they dont want you to use spidf out because the console doesnt control it and doesn't give you any enhacments at all. either turn the software volume control to 0, or unplug them.

  • X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty & Windows 7

    & Hi all,
I am using Build 7068 of Windows 7 X64 and the latest beta drivers Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Beta Driver 02.7.0006
For some reason the windows volume is reset to 00% each time I reboot. I dont know if this is a bug in the driver and/or win7.
Does anyone else have a similar setup or know of a work-around to make the volume stick?
    thanks in advance.

I'd use Daniel_K's support pack 2.0 (search this forum). If I remember right, there were issues with the default Creative installer for DDL/DTS in Windows 7, and his driver mod addressed it.

  • Interested in X-Fi Titanium. Can anybody using DDL with Windows 7x64 please test a scenario for me?

I currently have an old DDL card from another brand that's no longer supported and I have a problem with so I'm looking to replace it but I want to make sure the replacement can handle the situation I have a problem with.
The situation is this, when a media player is set to use spdif the computer hangs if anything else uses the sound card.
Under VLC it hangs if a sound is played whilst it is playing the video. ?Under MPC, it is fine once the video is started but MPC itself will hang if it loads up a movie whilst something else is using the card.
Following are step by step instructions to recreate the crash. ?It's a lot to ask but I would be very grateful if anyone is able to confirm this works under Creatives chipset/drivers.
To reproduce this: Download VLC (you don't need to install it, the zip version is fine - just drag and drop the movie into the VLC Window) http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/...2.zip/download
Within VLC, go to the tools menu then preferences then audio. Change the output module to win32 (the output module might be different for a Creative card?) and tick use spdif.
    Now try playing a 5. video: http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/re...nnel_check.rar
The download link is pretty well hidden in the middle there but it is there!
Now go here: http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/i...nts/flash.html (site found by googling flash test) and click play on the flash VIDEO test (the second one down?). ?My soundcard will immediately hang the PC at this point - so make sure you've saved your work!!
    Thanks!

I got the X-Fi Titanium in the end and it just works.
In fact, it works so well it took me ages to make it work lol. My whole system and media players had a crazy setup to get my old card working that was giving me all sorts of trouble with this new card. When I returned everything to default... 5.1 just works.
This explains the lack of repsonse to my query I guess. ?You guys must have wondered what the hell I was on about considering all you need to do with this is tick DDL for games and leave your media player on default and 5.1 simply works.
