Windows 7 Ultimate Does Not Recognize Tungsten E2

After I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows will not recognize my Tunsten E2 cable in the USB port.  I went to the Device Manager to look for a triangle in order to use Aceeca.  However, there is no triangle.
I tried using a USB Drive in the USB port and it worked perfectly.  However, when I tried my Tungsten cable again, it's like nothing was in the USB port.  No recognition by Windows at all.
Any workable solution would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello magicman265,
Be sure to follow the directions from this thread exactly.   Did you attempt the HotSync before looking for the triangle?
Did you try the Batch File suggestion at the bottom of the first thread?
If at first you don't succeed, reboot, and try, try, again!

  • Windows 7 does not recognize my iphone

My iPhone 4 is not recognized by my Windows 7 laptop.  iTunes on this PC recognizes it okay, but Windows 7 does not see it as a camera.  On my old WinXP machine, it is recognized with no problem.

Did you check the camera notification?
Maybe you'll need to enable it again and reverse the process described in this article:

  • 64 bit iTunes 11.0.1.12 on Windows 7 Ultimate does not recognize iPad. What to do?

After upgrade of iTunes to 11.0.1.12 (64bit) on Windows 7 Ultimate, iTunes claims it cannot connect
my iPad Mini. It recommends me to uninstall iTunes and upgrade to the 64bit version - which is the
one I installed in the first place. Reconnect, restart, reinstall does not help. I've checked for WinSock
conflicys and there are none indicated.
    Any clues anyone?
    Thanks/ShaunSheep

I've never had issues with iTunes and Windows 7 64bit on my desktop, laptop or my partner's laptop.
Since you've failed to mention what the issue is (e.g. what happens when trying to play "anything"), my initial reaction is the problem is merely user related.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize device

I have been successfully connecting my 8330 to a desktop PC running XP for quite a while.  The device sw is v4.5.0.175.  I recently got a new Lenovo T410 laptop, running Windows 7.  I have downloaded the DM software (v5.0.1) and verified that my device SW is up-to-date, but the laptop is still not recognizing that the device is connected (via USB).  I've tried it in all the USB ports on the laptop, and also followed all the steps detailed in KB13146, with no luck.  I can't find anything in any of the forums that reference Windows 7.  Can anyone provide help to resolve this problem?

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. I can attest that DTM does indeed recognize a BB under Win7...mine is exactly so.
    Hopefully something there is helpful!

  • Windows & iTunes Does Not Recognize iPhone 4 But It Charges?

I have an iPhone 4 16 GB Factory Unlocked. Yesterday it was fully working. I don't know why, today, my PC doesn't recognize it, even as an camera. I don't see Apple Mobile Device USB Driver listed in the device manager. Tried several programs concerned with iPhone, but no luck.
Uninstalled everything related Apple like iTunes, Bonjour, Apple Application Support etc., and used a program called "ByeTunes". Reinstalled iTunes but it does not work. I tried plugging it to my laptop, still doesn't work.
Also, I'm using Windows 7 x64, and re-installed Apple Mobile Device Support for 64-bit several times. It didn't work.
However my phone charges, does not beep that plugging sound or show charging indicator but the battery level increases, when I plug it to my computer. But when I try to charge with firewire it works.
And last, my PC can recognize my phone in DFU mode, fortunately. But I'm afraid of being stucked at restoring process.
    What should I do?
    Thanks.

I am facing the same issue. Tried everything like, Reinstall Itunes, Tries the sync on 3 diffrent laptops with windoes 7, XP and vista, Connecting in restore mode, DFU, Apple mobile devices restarted..nothing has worked. I am not sure if i do "erase all setting and content" will help  because if the i tunes cant recognise the i phone now, then after erasing everything will it recognise to restore??
Can any 1 help if i do " erase all setting and content" will help and will itunes recognise the iphone then?

  • Pavilion dv7 laptop ac adapter problem. It works, but Windows 7 does not recognize it anymore.

The ac adapter works, and the battery remains at 100%, but the icon never switches from battery to AC.  The laptop will not turn on without the battery and just AC, yet the adapter keeps the battery charged at 100%.  Windows 7 will not perform some of the updates when it thinks it is running on battery.
    Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with my G61.  I apologize in advance for hi jacking your post and leaving such a long reply but maybe it will help both of us in the long run.
The problem started off by everyonce in a while my battery icon showing my battery needed replaced.  I ran the battery tool and it said the battery was bad.  I eventually replaced the battery to no avail.  Here is everything that I have done and noted while dealing with this problem.  After replacing the battery the battery tool would not run saying that in order for the test to work the AC adapter needs to be plugged in (computer will only work with the AC adapter plugged in).  If I am using the computer and the adapter happens to come unplugged it almost instantly goes into a permenant sleep and I have to hard reset and plug the adapter back in in order to use the laptop.
The icon at the bottom of the screen does not show the battery charging.  It only shows the battery in good standing and its current power level.  If I remove the battery it changes to no battery present.
Some wierd things that are going on are the computer will boot up on battery power alone but as soon as windows is loading at the desktop it will go back into permenant sleep and will have to hard reset.  Also the computer will not power on with the battery removed and the AC adapter plugged in but all my power indicators are lit up showing its getting power.
I just recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and performed all the updates thinking that maybe that would fix the problem.  But it did not.  Although now when I run the battery tool it does not tell me to plug in the AC adapter.  It goes through the process and tell me that everyting is OK and my battery checks out fine.
One thing that gives me hope that its a software issue is that I have no issue using the battery when running Windows in any version of SAFE MODE.  I can run it till the battery dies without it going into permenant sleep.
I have read that it could be a motherboard issue but not sure how to verify.  Any help to help us figure this out would be fantabulous.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize new laptop HDD?

I got a new hard drive for my comuter, I went to install windows on it but the installer said is no drive there, and tells me to get the proper drivers. I don't know where to get the drivers, and it's a Western Digital so it uses the built in drivers from windows. My desktop recognizes the drive fine, but the laptop does not. Any help?

Nevermind.  I removed the device, turned the power off and back on to let Windows reinstall the device.  That made the problem go away.  I should have tried that first.
