Windows 7 won't connect to bluetooth keyboard

I've been using a Logitech MX5000 keyboard for awhile. I switch between windows and mac via bootcamp all the time. Recently though, I can't use the keyboard while in Windows 7. The keyboard pairs fine, but it is all greyed out. I've tried every suggestion that I can find:
~The keyboard is no longer paired with Mac OSX
~I've tried using Generic windows bluetooth drivers
~I've reinstalled bootcamp drivers.
Nothing seems to give me a permanent fix, and I can't even get it to work at the moment. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry if this has already been done, but I've searched for an hour & can't find my solution.
Windows 7 is security-conscious to the point of paranoia. I assume this is the reason it won't sign on to the open services! I get a 'connected' message, followed by 'internet not available'. At no point am I offered a login, and there's nothing in the settings about it.
I bought this laptop so I can travel with it - I need it to recognise Fon and Openzone points wherever they're available, and log itself on. Just like my Blackberry does ...
This has to be a matter of overriding some settings (and perhaps adding a new one). Can someone advise, please?
Hi. Welcome to the forums
My desktop Win 7 connects to FON (I pick the BTOpenzone connection), and when I then try a google, I get presented with a login page. If you aren't seeing the login page, then perhaps you can type in directly :-
https://www.btopenzone.com:8443
and choose the BTBroadband option entering your primary email address and associated passsword.

  • When I try to use my JBL speaker, it won't connect to Bluetooth at all with my iPad Air

My iPad Air won't connect to Bluetooth so I can use my iPad Air and JBL speaker. I keeps saying it is searching for devices.....any idea what to do. I'm using wi-fi

I suspect it won't pair with your iPad, because it's paired with your phone, even though the phone is off. Do you have the instructions for pairing the speaker?  If you don't, google them and see if the device can be paired with multiple devices.

I have an Ipad and an Ipod Touch 5th gen both on the latest firmwares but they won't connect via Bluetooth whenever I try even though both shows that the devices are discoverable. I also tried connecting them with my Bluetooth enabled laptop but it also didn't worked. Because of the Bluetooth not working I also can't enable airdrop.

    iPad (4th generation or later)
    iPad mini
    iPod touch (5th generation)
You also need to turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If you want to share with your contacts, sign in to your iCloud account.

To see if your Mac works with AirDrop, make sure you’re in the Finder by clicking the desktop (the background area of your screen), or by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock. Then, check to see if AirDrop is listed as an option in the Go menu. If you don't see AirDrop listed, your Mac doesn't support this feature.
In order to transfer files between a Mac and and an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
your iOS device needs to include a lightning connector
your iOS device needs iOS 7 or later installed
your Mac needs to be a 2012 or later model with OS X Yosemite installed
Your Mac and iOS device both need bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on. You do not have to be connected to a specific Wi-Fi network.
To transfer files between two Mac computers, you need the Mac models listed below with Wi-Fi turned on and OS X Lion or later installed.

  • I need to connect my bluetooth keyboard on my mac, but it doesn't have bluetooth installed

I need to connect my bluetooth keyboard on my mac, but it doesn't have bluetooth installed. eMac 2004 running 10.4.7 Tiger.

In the case you have explained you will have to do some shopping around.  I am sure there is something out there that is available and will work with a Mac.  The key here though is it must have the software available with the Keyboard or Mouse to insure that it will work on your older model Mac. Normally all you need to do is follow there instructions to a tee to make them work.  I have 2 different items that work trouble free on 2 different Mac's.  One other thing to keep in mind is you may have some trouble tracking down what you are looking for.
Here may very well be a place to start.

I am traveling and cannot connect my bluetooth keyboard to my MacBook Pro where I am. It was working fine when I left home. What can I do to fix the problem?

If you can get them paired again try making them "favorites" from the Bluetooth system preferences.
Try smc and pram reset too.  May gave to do this before you can get them paired.

  • Macbook Air (Mid-2013) and iPhone 5s IOS version 8.1 won't connect via bluetooth, anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have a Macbook Air running OS-X Yosemite and an iPhone 5s running IOS version 8.1. Every time I try to connect the devices via bluetooth is won't connect saying my Macbook Air isn't supported when in actuality it is. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I have restarted both my Mac/Iphone and have turned bluetooth on/off and nothing seems to help. Bluetooth pairing didn't work before I updated to IOS 8.1 so I doubt that is the issue here.

Pairing an iPhone to a computer (Mac or Windows) is only supported for personal hotspot (sharing the iPhone's cellular internet connection) and then only if your cellular plan supports it. More information: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • Question about connectivity of bluetooth keyboard ...

    Hello All,
I wanted to ask a few things regarding the bluetooth keyboard's connectivity with nokia 5320
that will i be only limited to write through the keyboard in the sms etc ?
or while browsing through my mobile or using ebuddy on my cellphone,i'll also be able to write through the keyboard there in ?

That all depends on which tablet you are using. If it happens to be a windows 8 tablet that has a full USB port on it you can get a USB hub to share that port to multiple devices and plug everything in that way.
If it is an android tablet however you may have to connect a the mouse and keyboard via bluetooth, and then the printer over wifi which should work on windows as well.
If you let me know exactly what tablet and printer you have I might be able to find the best possible solution for those devices.

  • Activating onscreen keyboard while connected to bluetooth keyboard

    Hi,
I have the Apple bluetooth keyboard connected to my iPad 2 and I was wondering if there was way to activate the onscreen keyboard other then pressing the eject key on the top right of the bluetooth keyboard. Its not a concern when I'm close to the keyboard but when I'm further away and want to type something quick without the bluetooth keyboard it can become a hassle. I don't want to disconnect the keyboard and reconnected it either. Any input would be appreciated.

I have found another post that talk similar topic.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/12847503#12847503
Looks like the only solution are to either physically turn on/off (the keyboard) or press the eject button on physical keyboard. But when I am at the password screen, swiping up from bottom will not bring up the Control Center to allow me to turn off the bluetooth onscreen. Again I need to open the physical keyboard.
Probably an easier solution is to simply remember to turn off bluetooth before putting away the devices.

  • Lost connection to Bluetooth keyboard

2 weeks old Intel mini. Logitech diNovo Edge Bluetooth keyboard paired just fine with the mini.
Have not used the system for a few days. Mini goes to sleep when not in use.
Today, the connection to the keyboard was lost. Trying to open Bluetooth preferences crashes the System Preferences application. Force-quit System preferences (had to do it twice). Turn BT off and on again. Re-try. Same thing: System Preference crashes.
Had to restart the mini (which I HATE). Re-paired BT keyboard. Also got a weird notice that my Network location was damaged and could not be loaded (re-created network location). No idea if this is related to the BT problem.
Hope it does not happen again, but I don't LIKE it. Any ideas?
    TIA.

  • Help.  iMac won't start with Bluetooth keyboard

Hi, iMac has decided to quit on me. It kept going to the grey screen of death at startup and triedd resetting everything. Nothing worked until I unplugged everything and noticed when I shut the Bluetooth keyboard off, only did it start up but much slower than normal. Any ideas or suggestions on whats going on? Basically, everytime I restart my computer, I need to make sure the keyboard is shut off and it still loads very very slow. Thank you.

    Hi, Warren

slow loading/running is sometimes connected with too little memory? how much do you have, and is it sufficient? (have a look at the Activity Monitor).
please, post back with more details.

  • Droid won't connect to Bluetooth

After the update today my Droid2 global won't connect to my blue tooth in my car.  Settings on my phone show that it is paired but not connected.  Have tried rebooting, etc but cannot get it to work.  Anybody else having this problem?

I am seeing the same issue. However, if I open up my bluetooth settings, find my hands free device, and select connect, it does connect. It just doesn't connect automatically as it did before the update.

  • Connecting my Bluetooth keyboard from Ps3 to Ipad2??

    Hi,
I own an Ipad2 and just bought the official bluetooth keyboard for my PS3. Not the small one you connect on the controller, neither a large one. It is the special one made for the PS3.
I am trying to connect it, but there is no way. Anybody tried it? Anybody can tell me to do?
    Thx

  • Connection to bluetooth keyboard lost

    Hello there,
since yesterday my bluetooth keyboard is not working anymore for my imac (late 2011) 10.9. mavericks and 27 inch.
Before it was working fine, didn´t say that battery is empty or anything. Suddenly it just stopped and never worked again. I changed the battery, nothing. When I press the button at the side, the green light comes up, and disappears a bit later.
In the bluetooth settings I can see my keyboard, I can also click connect, but it says connecting for around half a minute and then connection to the device could not be completed.
Tried it on a different mac, there it does not even appear, didn´t work on iphone and ipad either.
Can I reset the keyboard or what do I do now?
    Thanks a lot
    Chris

  • Question regarding Windows 7 w/iMac and bluetooth keyboard + mouse

I installed Windows 7 Home Premium, thru Boot Camp 3.0. My iMac 10.6.8 restarts w/a black screen. After reading the previous posts, I guess this is b/c I am using a bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Will any corded keyboard/mouse work or does it have to be an apple product? I am hours away from the Apple store, and in a very remote area. I could try to find someone with a PC corded keyboard/mouse if it would work.

Helps to have wired kb/mouse until BT and drivers installed.
Even a tech article here http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp
Any will do. I use a lot of 3rd party kb and always use MS optical mice. Apple puts their own firmware in some keyboards which I don't understand and can cause problems of their own.
It isn't what OS you run as much as what model year the iMac.

  • Yoga 10 HD+ won't connect using bluetooth tethering

My Yoga 10 HD+ is running KitKat. It pairs quite happily with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The bluetooth connection works well for transferring files/photos etc but will not work as a tethered internet connection.
On the bluetooth connection there is an option to "Use this connection for internet access" which I have ticked, but still when I try it says I am offline and should switch on either my WiFi of 3G connection.
It tethers and connects to the internet fine if I use WiFi as the connection between phone & tablet but the tablet just won't use the bluetooth connection to access the internet despite the ticked option to do so.
    Anybody got any ideas ?
Come on Lenovo, let's get it sorted.

This may not work for you, but it did for me. Just got mine as well, 10 HD+, and I had no working bluetooth. It would just keep searching and would stop after about 15 seconds. I had to do two restarts to fix my problem.
I think all of those updates I had to do the moment I took it out of the box (3 if i remember) cause the issue. Again, it took TWO restarts, on the second restart when I tried the bluetooth it worked.
After that I could connect to Bluetooth devices (tried on two diff. speakers) and I could recognize and stream music accordingly.
    Hope this helps!
