I have a small problem, i dont understand why my domain computers can connect to VPN without providing the user name and password. I mean the both user name and password fields are left blank and connection is successful..
I need to force users to enter the password and username.

You would probably have to use a time machine backup if you have one.

Reinstall it.

Sys doesn't need password to login to sqlplus of 10gr2

I have installed 10gr2 in a unix server, and in that localhost I use sys account to login to sqlplus but I found that it doesn't need password to login, other accounts required password though. However, it needed password for sys when login to em. I didn't modified any file under network/admin. How can I change it to authenticate sys in sqlplus? Thanks in advance

That's OS authentication. As already said, if OS user is member of dba group (or group defined at installation time) then no password is needed. Did you try something like
SQL> connect aaaaa/bbbbb as sysdba
it will work.
If you want to disable it, then add this line to your sqlnet.ora
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NONE)

I'm sorry, but I know nothing about iCloud email. I stayed away from iCloud email and only use iCloud for limited purposes.
But take a look at this discussion and read the response from randers4. He is one of the iCloud experts in the Apple Support Communities.

Your sister can go to https://iforgot.apple.com/ and see if she can recover her password.
There is nothing anybody else can do.

Login Windows 2008 R2 domain computer using temp profile

Situation: 1. The user could not login the domain computer running Windows 7 with this error:
user profile service failed the logon domain.
2. When we check the user profile, the type and status shows backup.
3. Deleted the profile and re-login, it doesn’t create a new profile and uses temp profile instead.
4. Current other domain users, for example administrator work fine.
5. If using any new domain user to login, it doesn’t create a new profile and it uses temp profile always.

There may be two similar GUIDS found for the problematic user, one for the temp profile and one for the regular profile but with the ".bak" extension.
I suggest you removed .bak from sid to check the result.

A first generation iPod touch can't be updated past 3.1.3. If it's a newer model, update it from iTunes on a computer, and if possible, the one it normally syncs with.

Needs password for account on a computer that I have renamed.

I get a popup for a password: Enter the password for your user account on "Intel-Mini (2)".
This is a computer that was renamed to.. (2). I've renamed the computer back to Intel-Mini, but I still get this request for a password.

What are you syncing? Requesting a password when transferring files may be normal depending upon what you are doing. It's a security precaution.
In any event your username and password for your login account is set in the Accounts preferences. Any changes must be made there. So unless you are having a problem with it when you log in to your account or you have a keychain problem, password requests may be completely normal depending on the situation.

If I manually save the bookmarks, and place them on a different computer, are my login passwords for those bookmarks also going to be transfered?

I want to give some very important bookmarks to a colleague of mine, but for most of them I have passwords saved in Firefox 34.0 (Linux 14.0.4 LTS).
I am worried that giving her the bookmarks that I have downloaded on my PC from the Import/Export Bookmarks option, will also give her the login passwords for them.
Is this going to happen or it's ok to send her the needed bookmarks? I do not have another PC on which I can test that at the moment.

Passwords are stored in the password files (encrypted).
Bookmarks are stored in the bookmarks file.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

Yes. That is your administrative password for your computer. It wants you to enter that to verify that it's ok to install software. It's not an Adobe password.

Mavericks Mail doesn't save the password for my iCloud IMAP account no matter how many times I enter it into Preferences or enter it when prompted. Windows Vista Home Premium Computer Doesn't Connect to Airport Extreme's Hard Drive

I have a hard drive connected to an Airport Extreme. The hard drive is recognized by the Windows computer; that is a dialog box appears that states 'The Airport Disk became available'. But when I attempt to supply a password it tells me "Could not connect to the disk. Make sure netBIOS is enabled and try again (53)."
The hard drive connected to the Airport Extreme is 500Gb and formatted as FAT32. The hard drive has its own power source. There are no spaces in the hard drive's name or in the Airpot Extreme's name. I've assigned WORKGROUP as the workgroup on both the Airport Extreme and the Windows Vista comptuer. I've enabled netBIOS for the TCP/IPv4 connection.
The vista computer is connected to the Airport Extreme via an ethernet cable; the cable is connected to a LAN slot of the Airport Extreme.
All help is appreciated.

Sounds like you are on the right track but I will have to say that I am very sorry but I am out of ideas - you are getting way out of my experience level - and I have to apologize about my previous post - I spelled Tesserax name wrong - you need help from one of the high level participants - I answered your orignal post because I have had sharing issues with Vista and thought that I could help - having said all that, I just thought of a last resort suggestion - make sure that your hard drive works when connected directly to your computer and then reset your Extreme and start from scratch - if that doesn't work then you might just have an incompatible setup - also if you wait a while and reword your question with your new findings, maybe a more experienced participant will respond - good luck.

PLEASE: How can I save my iphone texts and "notes" (not "the note") to my computer? I need them for reference and legal purposes. I have yet to find an app for this and iphone doesn't sync either one.

I've done searches for various apps yet I'm not finding what I think I would need. It appears Apple does not sync the texts between the iphone and
my MacBook Pro.
Also I often use Notes for quick journaling as well as copy and pasting from other apps, usually inspirational, that I know I am going to want
to read again (always with credit noted ) and these too are taking up space. If I could email myself I would but the apps I'm using don't offer that and each day there is a new commentary -- no way to go "back".
I am currently using OS 10.6.8 on my MacBook -- my disc drive doesn't work and upgrading has to be done at the Apple Store so I don't have iCloud yet.
My iphone 4 is running OS 6.0.1 -- no upgrade until I'm at a wifi connection -- most of the time I'm using my personal hotspot.
I'm a very busy self-employed Nana raising grandchildren and a great-grandchild. I don't have a lot of time and certainly not enough for copying and pasting every text as well as note and emailing it to myself. There has got to be a better, easier way, yes?
I'd be most appreciative of any and all assistance here. Oh, someone mentioned to me I ought to get a "stick" for downloading but were talking
in a language I'm still learning.

Camera w/ 1080P Video That Doesn't Need Conversion for iMovie?

I've been using a Panasonic FZ-100 to shoot video, but I'm tired of having to convert the AVCHD MTS files with iSkysoft or Turbo.264 so I can edit the footage in iMovie. Does anyone know any other still cameras that do 1080P video in a format that I can edit with iMovie without having to convert it? That would save so much time for me.

I have this same issue. Updated to 8.0.2 but no bueno. Haven't found a workaround either.
