Windows 8.1 ATI Radeon 8750M Drivers

I installed windows 8.1 on my Probook 450 G1 and  I could not find any ATI Radeon 8750M drivers to it. The windows 8 drivers are not working properly in windows 8.1.
I found another read-only topic with the same name (and post) and a very promising solution, but the link to said solution is down. Could it please be reuploaded?

  • TA48312 ati radeon 5770 drivers

ati radeon 5770 drivers i need the drivers for this not working in my mac 3,1 mac pro
    microcenter said it would work

This discussion is very helpful to me, but I still have questions. I have a similar configuration:
    Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 3 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
I want to upgrade my graphics card so my kids can play a game I bought them via Steam. Their website tells me I need "NVIDIA GeForce 8 or higher, or ATI X1600 or higher." Does the ATI Radeon 5770 fit in that range? If not, is there another card compatible with my MacPro that does? Thanks...

  • ATI Radeon 9200 Drivers

I just purchased an ATI Radeon 9200 off of eBay for cheap to run on my Dual 2.0GHz PowerMac G5 (it's in the PXI-X slot). But the Mac won't see it and I can't find the right driver. Can somebody tell me where I can find them, if they exist, or if this card even works for my PowerMac? Thanks so much!

Is it the Mac or PC version?
There was a Mac-only version of that card. It was labeled the ATI Radeon Mac Edition 9200. Any other brand that ATI on a 9200 makes it not a Mac card. The "Mac Edition" part is critiacl but was only on the box.
This is a pretty primitive card. It was relased in the transtion time between OS9 and OSX and seemed to suffer from idenity issues. I have one and the OSX support seemed rushed. The card could not even support Quartz Extreme--a basic OSX video technology--without a hack that caused as many problems as it cured.
AMD wiped out the archived Mac drivers when the bought ATI. You might try third-party collections of drivers. Google "old computer drivers" to see a long list.
I hate to say it but I think you bought the wrong card.

  • How to How to install ATI Radeon HD2600 driver on bootcamp 3.0 windows 7 partition w/black screen problem

Ok....so i've posted this question in a different way, and i gotten several "scratch the surface" answers from people just saying to install "Ati catalyst", or insert the os x dvd and run set up.exe, and update  to boot camp 3.1 or 3.2...while these all seem like great suggestions, I am finding myself needing more specific direction or "hand holding" so to speak.....here is the MAIN problem...
    The Background/history
I used boot camp (3.0, and i found updates for 3.1 for imac and for windows, but can't find for mac pro, AND they all are ".exe" files which run on windows..which as you'll see is the big part of my problem...So I recently updated my mac pro (with the ATI Radeon HD2600 graphic PCIe card with 10.6.7 from 10.5.8.  I created a single partitioned drive to install windows 7 professional 64 bit.  The download software function didn't work (Thanks, APPLE for that poor level of support) so have to select the option that i have already downloaded, or have other media with the drivers already on it....i restarted with the windows 7 disk in....
The installation of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
So the installation of windows 7 seemed to go flawlessly, was able to use my existing 23" hd apple cinema display (so somehow it has drivers that work with the graphics card, or maybe the motherboard's on board video components) and i select english, and install now, custom, blah, blah, blah...installation causes a few reboots, then restarts ultimately back in os x since that is the default boot os i use on this desk top and have to do the "opt" button to select booting in windows....so when i try restarting in windows, now using the actual boot drive on which i am installing it, it ran through another reboot or two, but then after that, my display goes black....  in the communities, the solution sounds super simple... "go download the ATI catalyst for the black screen problem....windows 7 doesn't have device drivers that work with the ATI radeon hd2600...no problem, just go download and install...."
The problem, re-emphasized :  I cannot even finish the install for windows, because of this driver problem....i cannot see anything....I have tried to reboot in safe mode, and that then seems to invoke whatever basic drivers that do work, likely through the motherboards onboard video vs the actual graphic card, and the screen works and says that it's wanting to complete the installation, so i'm thinking awesome this is gonna work....and then.. "windows installation was not completed and cannot be completed in SAFE MODE, need to restart, blah, blah, blah" pops up...and forces reboot...so Safe Mode allows me to see, but won't allow me to finish the install of windows 7...and without completing the install i can't run (ranther I DONT KNOW HOW TO) any of the various .exe files everyone is telling me are the solutions to my problem...like update 3.1 and 3.2 bootcamp...they're all .exe files?  not sure why, because bootcamp runs in 10.6.7 i thought, but whatever...it needs running Windows to execute...then the ATI radeon hd2600 driver for windows 7 that i downloaded from the site has an installation program that is an .exe file, which needs windows to run...  Does this make sense, why i can't just use these fixes, that seem to be the only fixes out there....so can someone school me step by step here (not just the highlights) of how to update bootcamp, and how to install the ati radeon driver  without having been able to complete the windows 7 installation because the monitor goes and stays black????
This is so very frustrating for the record...and any substantial help "not just go download this..." would be immensely appreciated.
Some other things i've been told to try that i've tried and nothing seems to happen as i'm told it will....
---I've been told to install the osx dvd and run "setup.exe"  - AGAIN...it's an exe file...and 2 - when i put in the os x file it just wants to re install 10.6...so need more help if this is even a real solution to understand how to make it work...
---I've been told to update boot camp to 3.1 and/or 3.2 from 3.0, using Apple Software Update....Well, my software update is saying everything is up to date and there is nothing new to download at all, and when i reverify the bootcamp version it is still only 3.0.2...and again downloading the updates from www.apple.com/support/  for 3.1 and 3.2...all of those are .exe files...need windows to run them...again, refer to the problem described in detail above...
---I've been referred to the black screen on imac early 2011 thread saying it should fix my problem...and reading it it SEEMED like the most promising resolution...it involves creating a boot flash drive for windows 7 and an xml file that sets the imac drivers to auto install during the windows installation..and it got me farther than anything else..but still ultimately ended up in the darned black screen...my assumption is that it's because it's for imac and not mac pro so not ati-radeon specific drivers....ok....that's enough..please...anyone who thinks they can help...your help is desperately needed...thanks so much in advance!

hey Hatter, thanks so much for getting back...so just to be super clear...is there no way to install the drivers using an exe file given my current state? no way to do it with command prompt or something?  if can make work with existing card, i'd prefer it...now when you say it's 'toast' how do you mean?  it works well with the os x partitions and always has...so i'm not sure i follow, just want to be clear...
Now to your point of starting with only the one drive installed...so i would put that bootcamp drive in bay 1 and disconnect the rest...i'm not totally sure what you're suggesting the effect should be of doing this?  just that i'm just installing windows without the bootcamp deal...but if windows 7 doesn't support the ati radeon hd2600, it still will go black screen no? or you're saying it will run video through the motherboard if it's the only bootdrive, and will run all the way through the windows install without trying to switch over to the hd2600?  (slrry flr these questions..just really want to make sure i understand what you're telling me..thanks so much for your patience and help by the way...it's very greatly appreciated...your support is priceless!
So now, assuming none of the above is possible...referring now to the ati 5770 that you referred to...you mention it works with 10.6 well, and that windows 7 supports it ...2 questions on that
         1) Windows 7 supports" meaning, out of the box windows 7 supports it? or will i have to install drivers still through some update, because again, if that's how i have to do it, then won't work, cuz can't start windows to see anything to install any drivers or run any thing at all...so it would have to just work with initial installation.
2)hardware wise for my Mac Pro 3,1...intel dual quad core xeon, blah blah....will this card work? it's a PCIe and should fit on my board no prob, etc?

mawch wrote:how to install drivers for ati radeon 3200?and how to config xorg.conf?
    Hello
I am using ati hd 3200 which is integrated with my motherboard. If you are using arch you can download & install through pacman. The package is named like catalyst*. You can install them by issuing as root user
    #pacman -Sy
    #pacman -S -l | grep -i catalyst
    #pacman -S catalyst catalyst-utils
After installation reboot your machine in runlevel 1. (single mode).  Ensure "fglrx" module is loaded correctly using
    #lsmod | grep -i fglrx
If the resultant output have "fglrx" part  the module is loaded correctly. The next step is to create a working /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Backup your current xorg.conf if needed.
    #cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bkup
    Then issue
    #aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
This will create a new xorg.conf file. Now we can test our confign.
    #telinit 3
I am using runlevel 3 to avoid graphic messup!!
    issue
    #gdm
If you graphical login screen works correctly there is nothing to do more except adjust your monitor resoloution as you like.
To know your ati driver is working correctly issue as root
    #fgl_glxgears
If gears are rolling happily it seems correct. You can also know more about installed ati driver
    #fglrxinfo
Now the installed driver version is in the output
If there is any problem try following
    ##### Soloutions to solve various display problems using ATI Catalyst Drivers in Linux #####
yes video playback is choppy until i ran :-
    sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv
Try adding the following to the 'Device' section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Option "TexturedVideo" "true"
    ### This is a half solution for mythtv problems. Run mythtv in window (no full screen) If You have a screen resolution of 1024x768 try the command;
    mythfrontend --geometry 800x600
    Append the "Device" Section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf file as follows;
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Videocard0"
    Driver "fglrx"
    Option "OpenGLOverlay" "off"

    Option "TexturedVideoSync" "on"
    Option "Capabilities" "0x00000800"

  • Windows Won't Read my ATI Radeon HD 2400

    Hello,
First, I'd like to point off that I'm a moron. So, please speak to me like I am one.
So, I'm on my 3rd or 4th Boot Camp installation on this iMac. Meaning, I've had Boot Camp installations for a period of time, and for some reason or another decided to repartition and reinstall.
This time around I've had huge amounts of difficulties, and the only reason I'm doing this is to play a couple games (I hate windows so much).
Usually once Windows is finally installed, Boot Camp Drivers solves all my problems.  But, this time around I've had huge issues with Windows having the correct drivers for my hardware.
My biggest issue right now that I can't seem to solve, windows doesn't see my graphics card? I put a question mark on that because Windows confuses me and I never know what I'm looking at.
I have an ATI Radeon HD 2400 graphics card that came built in to this 2 ghz Intel Dual Core 2 Duo iMac.  I've download the latest ATI 10.2 Legacy driver package, and it says that it doesn't work on my system configuration.
I play a game called League of Legends that says it "can't load direct3d" which is a bad thing I guess. Since I've never had that issue.
I've attached my DXDiag which I just learned how to do today.
Also, I'm running 32bit Windows XP which I just noticed only shows I have 3GB of RAM installed when I have 4GB RAM on my imac.  Will i see a performance issue if I upgrade to 64bit Windows XP?

It isn't a true discreet desktop graphic card. And it is more akin to the mobility.
When you have an All-in-one you have more of a notebook motherboard is all.
    Laptop2go is one place.
Sometimes uninstalling the program and driver, followed by a restart, let Windows detect the hardware and install its driver (can't hurt) then try Laptop2go or AMD Mobility. Whatever works.
XP graphic drivers, not my area, seem messy (so was Vista for first two years). The use of Driver Sweeper use to be considered a must when changning and trying out drivers. A part of finding the best driver for your card and system and games you use.
Windows Vista/7 allow one to rollback a driver to earlier, use restore point, uninstall driver - just don't uninstall the device itself or delete the device.
By uninstalling the Apple Boot Camp driver and program you may then be able to install a proper graphic driver.
And seriously, no joke, I find asking Bing is a great place to start -

  • Windows 7 not recognising ATI Radeon HD 5670

Ok, so I have installed Windows 7 32bit, to play SIMS 3. Now the apparent video card should be able to handle it.
The problem is that it only recognizes it as a standard VGA card. I have downloaded the Catalyst ATI Drivers with no joy.
    Any advice or suggestions?

Fixed it! Had the same problem too. Windows 7 32bit mid-2010 iMac with ATI Radeon 5670 an all it would show was a vga-adapter, tried everything imaginable as well as trying XP but same problem existed. The graphics card just wouldn't install - windows of varying versions just thought i had next to nothing an nothing would persuade them otherwise but sussed it!
THE SOLUTION - yes there is one - is the same as for the black screen problem at install. In the updates released for bootcamp, one is for iMacs from mid-2010 which would display only a black screen at startup instead of loading. Now mine didn't do this but I figured it was the same basic problem with a graphics card. Follow the instruction and low-and-behold it works perfectly first time!
You'll need to reinstall Windows 7 but worth it. Apple's Article which fixes it: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3173
    Good luck all!

  • ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Drivers

Hi everyone, I have a Toshiba Satellite M50 laptop and am running Windows 7 Ultimate, and have the ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card. I used the initial 8.31 Vista driver and upgraded to the 8.561 beta driver for Windows 7, through the Microsoft Update Catalog. As this is now a legacy card, I have downloaded and tried the 8.671 driver (in the Catalyst 9.11 package) from the ATI website and this did not work, only installing updates to the CCC. I don't care about the Catalyst Control Center, and am only after the driver itself.
Since the drivers on the ATI website are in the form of an .exe package, I cannot get a hold of the appropriate .inf file for the graphics card. I was wondering if it were indeed possible to obtain a newer version than 8.561 of the graphics driver, by way of .inf file or not? I would be very grateful for any help or insight into this.

    Hi blastoise,
As you may noticed, the latest driver for your display card is only for Windows Vista on the manufacturer's website. It seems there is no newer driver is published. Therefore, I think the most suitable driver is provided by Windows Update which is version 8.561.0.0. Please see HERE. You can also contact Toshiba directly to confirm this issue.
Besides, does the driver you installed work properly? If not, could you please provide the error message listed in Device Manager?
    1. Click the Start Button, type Device Manager in the Search bar and press "Enter". Click Continue if necessary.
    2. Double click to expand the "Display adapter"
    3. Right click the display card and click "Properties".

  • On boot ATI Radeon HD 4200 drivers fail to load. To recover, must use System Restore

I have an HP Pavilion p6737f with Windows 7 64-bit. No error message. No changes to system.
When I boot the computer it comes up to a resolution of 800 x 600 which is the "rock bottom" of the spectrum for my computer. I check the device manager and it tells me that the driver - ATI Radeon HD 4200 failed to install on boot. In order to return to normal I have to do a "System Restore" to a time that I created. Otherwise, I can't use the higher graphic settings.

    Hi Tom,
Reinstall the video driver using the HP Recovery Manager (drivers only).  The driver on the hard drive may be corrupted and then Windows will use the default VGA driver.

  • Ati radeon xpress 200 series driver installing windows 8.1 pro black screen

dell optiplex 320 running Windows 8.1 standard.  The display is listed as ATI RADEON XPREES 200 in the device manager.
It is using the driver provided by the operating system - ATI Technologies dated 10/2/2010 and version 10-2_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc and ATI_ATI-Radeon-Xpress-X1100_A03_R172873.  From a cold boot the blue Windows logo appears and then the mouse cursor
in the middle of the screen, but the start screen with the tiles is not displayed.  Maybe this sounds weird, but I think the start screen and tiles is there, but just not being shown on the screen.  There appears to be nothing there, but I can move
the cursor around on the black screen and click in frustration.  Then I press the power button and the laptop enters sleep mode.  Once in sleep mode I press power again to resume the computer and then the lock screen shows up and I can see the start
screen and tiles and everything works like it should.  This only happens from a cold boot.  If the computer was on and restarted it does not happen.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Any suggestions?  I will check for a newer display
driver from ATI.  The only driver on the Windows Update Catalog is for Windows Vista.

mouse cursor in the middle of the screen, but the start screen with the tiles is not displayed.
Usually it is nVidia users who complain of this.  An explanation would be that you are seeing your secondary monitor display in an Extended display configuration.  When you press Win- etc. it would show on your primary monitor (which you can't
see).  So, press Win-P anyway and imagine that you can see its display.  Then you would press CursorUp, Enter and switch display configurations so you could see something.
only happens from a cold boot.
Then there is a feature in a boot that makes this change.  Try using Win-P again when you can see it to see what the configuration is then.

  • ATI Radeon HD 4870 drivers

    Hi:
I'm new to these forums so I hope I got the right category. I am interested in making sure that I have the latest driver for my graphics card, ATI Radeon HD 4870. I went to their website and the latest OS listed was 10.5. I called them and was told that it was Apple's responsibility for providing the latest driver, they had nothing to do with it. I then called Apple and they said that was nonsense, it is the manufacturer's responsibility for updating drivers and when available, they would automatically download it. Called ATI Radeon again and got the same answer. Does anyone know what the real story here is?

Is there any software diagnostics out there for the ATI Radeon HD cards? I have an iMac 27" i5 and I believe that the video card is giving me some problems and want to run sometype of diagnostics before I take it into the apple store...
Because when I take it into the Apple Store how are they going to be able to isolate the video card as the problem that I have...which is my screen turning off randomly. I have the new firmware for this, and before the new firmware was released I had NO problems.
    Any suggestions would be great!
