Windows 8.1 Desktop crashing every time

I upgraded my system from Windows 8 to 8.1 and i can do nothing with my desktop it crashes every time i kinda have same problem in windows 8 but not like this every time i left click desktop crashes i searched at various sites but i cannot find same problem
as i do by the way i dont get any error messages at all every time it crashes and reloads itself

I would like to know the certain name of the application you updated.
It seems that the updating of the application make the explorer.exe crash or no responding.
I suggest you press ctrl+alt+del, and click Task manager.
Then end the process explorer.exe, and click File -> Run New task -> type in explorer.exe.
See what's going on.

I am having exactly the same problem with my iPhone 4 (running 6.0.1 (10A523)). I have rebooted several times since this started occurring but it doesn't change the behavior. It was also reporting a "storage almost full" error quite often when I still have 1GB - 3GB of free space. As a troubleshooting exercise I removed all my music so there is now 20.1GB free. The storage warning no longer appears but the same issue still persists with reminders. Help, please!

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes for Windows and now iTunes crashes everytime I launch it. I have tried re-downloading and selecting Repair with no luck. Any suggestions?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

ITunes on Windows Vista...Crashes Every Time

Hi.
I just purchased an ipod nano and installed itunes on my PC (windows vista). It worked the first time but would crash 1/4 of the way through syncing my library to my ipod.
Now itunes just crashes/freezes/is completely unresponsive as soon as I open it either my clicking the icon or by plugging in the ipod.
Completely unimpressed...I have owned 10+ phones/mp3 players in the past and have never had an issue (hadn't been using itunes) with transferring files, etc.
How do I fix itunes?
I updated Quicktime and iTunes...Quicktime is working fine on its own.

Skype for Windows Phone 8.1 crashes every time

Hello, i'm having problems with skype on my wp. Whenever someone calls me, or sends me a message it crashes and I can't re-open it until I restart my wp. Also I don't receive calls, just sometimes and the tasks are so slow that I can't do anything when I click for example to slide to the chat tab during a call, it simply bugs and I can't use it more until it fixes itself ( Wich takes a lot of time ).
How did this pass your tests? Also it's not the latest version only, it's since last year.

My windows(8.1 64bit) partition is read only from the mac(yosemite) side of things. Anybody have a clue on how to fix this? Also, slightly frustrating as well, windows crashes every time I attempt to open a file from the mac partition.

All Office applications will also try to open a temporary work file in the same location as the source file. This implies the source file directory also needs to be writable for this temporary file. Since the default HFS+ driver provides only read-only access, such temporary files will fail to open, and will cause the application to fail.
As a test copy the file you want to edit, say an Excel spreadsheet from the OSX file system to the C: drive on the Windows side and try to open it. If you look in this directory, you should see two files, the source and a temporary file. You may have to force the temporary file to be opened on a read-write file system, by manipulating the folder for temporary files.

InDesign CC crashes every time I quit. Prefs are not saved. I'm on Windows 7. I've rebuilt the prefs several times. Crash on quit happens on InD CC 64 and InD CC. In Windows, Batang is part of a "collection"; Batang, BatangChe, Gungsuh, and GungsuhChe and is a system protected font. Hard to remove. Is Batang the problem on Windows as well as Mac?
Edit: I have not uninstalled CS6, so I'm running both versions. I doubt that this could make any difference, but who knows.

Font folder? Replace number of active fonts? CMON, act like its the fonts... absurd.
My fonts worked fine in CS6

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.

Hello; this is my third post to these forums. The first one helped me and the second one garnered no responses. Anyways, I am here with a question. My safari crashes every time I make a new window or tab. I have created a pastebin of the crash log.

Does a new or Guest user have the same problems ?.
If not, try resetting Safari, especially the 'remove all website data' part.

I downloaded the latest FF version for my new laptop with Windows 7 o/s and installed without problems, so why does it crash every time I try to use FF?

My new laptop came with IE installed. I downloaded FF and installed it without any problems. FF has crashed every time I have tried to use it. I have never had this problem before on either laptop or desktop and found that I could use FF most of the time, only switching to IE occasionally when a site worked better with it ... which wasn't often.

ITunes crashes every time it accesses windows explorer

I've got a problem with iTunes crashing every time I try to sync photos to my iPhone (3GS, OS4.0). When I hit the change folder button to select the folder that I want to sync from it immediately crashes. I've had this problem with my iPad as well. Any ideas what causes it and how to get my photos to sync?

Maybe it's down to internet speed - as I just realised my speed had dropped to virtually nil.
It's now back up to a fiull 1.86mbps upload.
We'll see...........

Windows 8 crashing every time

My iTunes on my Dell desktop is crashing every time I open it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have copied something from Apple to ITunes in Program Files per recommendation online. This is frustrating. It's only on my desktop, not laptop, or iPad, or iPhone

because the keyboard and trackpad are not recognized when installing, macbook frommid-2013 Haswell chip using the keyboard and trackpad connected to the motherboardsuch as the ISO protocol windown USB3 but not integrated. I tried adding it to iso win 7,you can download and install as nornal link:

Crash every time Windows refreshes policy

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 box that is blue screening and crashing every time it refreshes group policy.
Computer starts up, gets to "Applying Registry policy" for a minute or so, then crashes.
I unplugged the computer from the network during startup and, without a DC to grab GP from, I get to the Ctrl-Alt-Del screen
Plugging the computer back into the network, then logging on with a domain user, we again get to "Applying Registry policy" and then crash
If I leave it unplugged from the network and THEN log in, or log in with a local user account, I can get in
When plugged back in, the computer will then reboot within a short time, presumably when the background GP refresh occurs
To test, I made a new OU, blocked inheritance on it, and moved the computer account into it
Now I can start up successfully while plugged into the network, however a domain user will still cause a crash because the user account does not have the GPs blocked
Moving the user account into the new OU also removes the crash
With no GPOs applied, the computer also doesn't crash when the background refresh applies
Disabling all startup items in msconfig doesn't affect the issue
With all of the above, I'm confident that this only occurs when Windows attempts to apply group policy. I verified that no GPOs have been changed in over a month. No other machine (server or PC) is having this issue. Restoring the registry to a version from
a few weeks back didn't help. So far, Microsoft phone support hasn't figured it out. Obviously, leaving the computer account in the test OU with inheritance blocked can't be our long-term solution. I'm at a loss over what to do next short of wiping the machine
and restoring. This is an Exchange server so I'm not looking forward to restoring that.
