I am also intended to install windows 10 when available.Best regards.

Hi cengizdilek,
Thank you for considering Sony Community!
Did you install a retail copy of Windows 8.1? If yes then possibly there are drivers or software that are not compatible with the current Operating System. Or you might downloaded the version of Vaio Control Center that is not compatible with Windows 8.1. If you're using a retail copy then make sure to download the necessary applications and drivers on Sony's website (based on your location or from where you purchased the unit). You may reinstall it as well.
Your Vaio VPCF13Z8E is not a U.S. model and we have limited information about your unit. We do not have the drivers and software compatible with your laptop.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist customers outside of the US. We kindly recommend visiting our Sony Global Web site for information on contacting the Sony Support Center in your region at http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/.
Hope these help.
Thanks.

  • Where can I download VAIO CONTROL CENTER SOFTWARE (not UPDATE) for WIN8?

My model is SVE1513RCXB. Thanks for your help.

    Hi mlbnguyen2610,
Thank you for considering Sony Community!
Based on my end, the original Operating System of your Vaio SVE1513RCXB is Windows 7. Did you install a retail copy of Windows 8 Operating System? Usually the originally shipped version of Vaio Control Center is in the recovery partition. Kindly try this option.
Download and install VAIO Care™ (Desktop) Software, this is under Windows 8 option located on eSupport.sony.com. Open Vaio Care (Desktop) -> Advanced Tools -> Restore and recovery -> Reinstall applications and drivers -> Then look for Vaio Control Center and follow the on-screen instructions. (We have different versions of Vaio Care. Just follow the instructions applicable in your unit).

  • Windows 7 64bit driver support for GX623

Hi, i have GX623 laptop (CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo P8400; RAM: 4GB ), i am interested why there is no Windows 7 64bit driver support for this model ? I really would like to run some 64bit software on it.
If my laptop hardware support it why MSI don't release drivers so my software can also support it. In some 32bit drivers there are some 64bit drivers but still not all for complete functionality.
On some older posts from 2009 I see responses that windows 7 64bit is very new so that's the reason for no driver support but in 2011 surely that is not the case.
Can we expect 64bit drivers for Windows 7 in near future or support for 64bit software isn't planed for this model?

So is it officially GX623 supported for Windows 64bit install because I still don't see any drivers for Windows 7 64bit or maybe Windows 7 64bit don't need any drivers?

  • Keyboard Backlight Settings have no effect vaio Control Center

I have a Sony laptop, model SVE14A35CXH, and my backlit keyboard does work, it's just that the settings in Vaio Control Center, under Keyboard Backlight, the settings for that have no effect on the actual keyboard backlight. I make the setting to never turn on, for both on battery and plugged in, the keyboard still comes on when a key is pressed. I change the setting to turn on in low light, turn off after 60 seconds, it always turns off after 15.  Any time I change the backlight settings, the actual keyboard backlight always turns on in low light conditions, and always turns off after 15 seconds if a key is not pressed. The settings have no effect on what the backlight does. Help would be appreciated.

    Hi Derp-Derpinson,
Are you using a retail version of Windows? You mentioned before that you did a complete fresh install of Windows 8. Please follow the troubleshooting guidelines below:
Power Cycle - remove the battery and all peripherals -> press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. This will drain the electricity of the unit. Check again the backlight.
    Reset BIOS.
Make sure that these drivers are installed or updated: (Sony® Firmware Extension Parser Device Driver, Sony® Shared Library, Hotkey Utilities). You may go to eSupport to download the drivers.
You may also reinstall Vaio Control Center.
    Hope these work.

  • Regarding vaio control center update

After updating vaio control center my laptop is not giving proper base in headphones, what should i do?

    Hi pratik_parate,
    Welcome to Sony Community!
Was it working before? If so, here is what you need to do to isolate the issue
Try that headphones to a different device to make sure that it's working fine. (if its giving a proper base then proceed to the next step, if it doesn't have base replace your headphones)
Try to play music using the internal speaker of the laptop then try the external speaker afterwards (if available)(how's the base of the speaker? If it's normal then proceed to the next step if not then the problem is with the speaker)
Uninstall the updated Vaio Control Center then reinstall the original driver from the website. (Replicate the issue).
Reinstall the Vaio Control Center Update. (Replicate the issue again)
If it persist, you may do a System Restore back to an earlier time when the base on the headphones are properly working.

  • Vaio Control Center suddenly informs that my battery condition is critical!. Should I replace it immmediately?

    Hi rkreiman,

Yes, if Vaio Control Center already showed that the battery is in critical condition (red light) it means that you need to replace it immediately.

Apple considers the battery a consumable and, boy, have you consumed yours! 1050 cycles? Letting it run down to reserve power? That's abuse! In a short period of time.
Good ahead and bite the bullet and have Apple replace the battery - you might be able to DIY through PowerbookMedic or ifixit, but, were it me, I'd let Apple handle the battery replacement in my 2011 (and will - when and if it needs replacing).
    Good luck,

  • Nvidia Geforce 650m driver problem for windows 8.1 on macbook pro

Hey guys. I installed windows 8.1 on my macbook pro (mid2012, Intel core i7, retina, Geforce 650m) of course only for game, but I have a disappointing problem with the graphics driver. First I tried to instal graphics card driver by bootcamp (not the last version, the one before the last) .It started to install drivers one by one starting with graphics card, but suddenly the screen got black and remained black forever! I restarted the windows and guess what! after windows logo it got black and nothing more! Then I installed windows again and tried to install driver from windows update. It checked for update and found the driver for it and downloaded it and started to install, but again the black screen !!! Please help me thanks.

    DemetriAA wrote:
no this does not work. bootcamp drivers are broken for windows 8.1 on an efi install. apple is withholding the discreet gpu drivers from microsoft to trick people into thinking osx is more stable/efficient and thus windows cannot detect which gpu it is supposed to use when it can see both. the discreet gpu is hidden in the fake bios setup that bootcamp wants you to install with. the problem with doing this is that the more powerful gpu is all you can use in windows so the computer runs more hot and is louder which is annoying and hard on the battery life.
thanks apple, if i knew that when i bought the laptop i would have gone with something else.
This is not correct. If you force an EFI installation on a preUEFI Mac, you will see GPU and Audio errors. A non-EFI Hybrid MBR installation works correctly. Does Windows have the ability to switch GPUs? OS X, using external monitors, uses the non-Intel discreet GPU and the machine does not run hot. If Windows can provide dual-GPU support (which they have) and also provide GPU-switching (missing), this can be done. Can it be done for older hardware, highly unlikely. MacRumors has threads with PCI Register changes to expose the Intel GPU and the machine still runs hotter.

  • Envy h8-1409 Desktop-Problem Installing Catalyst Control Center on Wiindows 7 for Radeon HD 7570

    Hi,
I just purchased an HP Envy h8-1409 desktop.  It came with Windows 8 but I downgraded to Windows 7 due to my unfamiliarity with the new Windows 8.
Officially, HP only provides Windows 8 drivers for this particular model I bought.  However, I was able to find another HP desktop model (h8-1360t) that has almost the same hardware that has Windows 7 drivers.  I downloaded all the Windows 7 drivers and was able to install properly for everything except for the Graphics Card (Radeon HD 7570).  There was an error message during the start of the installation complaining that the driver was unable to find supported hardware on my machine.  I ended up using "Windows Update" to get the driver for the Radeon HD 7570.
Having installed the Radeon HD 7570 driver only allows Windows to recognize my graphics card but I was unable to adjust any advanced settings.  So I went to AMD's website to get the latest Catalyst Control Center package.  During the installation, no error was found and everything seemed alright.  However after the installation is complete, I was unable to see Catalyst Control Center anywhere on my computer (e.g. Start menu, right-click menu, etc).  Also, when I checked the "ATI Technologies" folder, it was empty!
I also tried using AMD's auto detect agent but my graphics card was not even recognized.
I am running out of ideas on how I can get Catalyst Control Center installed.  Please help!

    Hello,
Here is an article about downgrading a Windows 8 computer.  I hope it helps.
    Good luck!

  • Many problems with MSI Control Center

    have a lot MSI mobo
    I still P45 & P45 Diamond Memory lover.
the problem of their old dual core center was that sometimes bug "debug assertion failed" came ..
    but now I have 5 mobo 1155:
    msi Z77
    msi b75
    msi z68
    msi H67
    msi h61
in all of these motherboards, the start of the OS, the latest version of control center never keeps the settings that I have saved as a "default"!
for example, the Z77 does not maintain the memory for the fan cpu, while fan1 & fan2 are active, but not to the minimum value that I had memorized ..
the z68 instead only stores the value of the cpu fan
the H67 does not store anything ..
    and also the other way!
indicted versions of MSI CC are those where the adjustment of the fans is not only numeric, but also with the graph ..
I seem to recall that older versions of CC II without the graphics did not have so many problems in the management of the fans (but I'm not sure about this)
I do not know if I'm wrong something in the settings of the BIOS, or the software itself!
and I wonder if the ControlCenter has a bug so big, that users do not make a mass protest to the manufacturer directly!
I hope you can help me positively.
I am very disappointed with this software MSI, I would be a little desire to leave my beloved brand ...
    thanks
    max
p.s. I can understand for the "old" h61/h61, but it is absurd that the Z77 motherboards & b75 does not have control of all the connectors on the PCB Tachometer & PWM ... not to mention the z68 should be the most valuable of all
(as opposed to other manufacturers that optimize much better implementation "fan control")

You have been around here long enough to know this is a user to user community and can't do anything about BIOS or S/W problems.
With 16 MSI machines here in the hobby/test room, not one has CC or LU5 on them. For machines I want to control any fans on, I simply install an aftermarket fan controller to do the job. You might try the SpeedFan utility. That seems to be popular.
Talk of jumping brands falls on deaf ears here, and is your choice because of unhappiness with optional S/W.
yes, I have been long enough, but the forums are also used to find solutions ..
maybe some user could answer to me better than you, do not you think?
and this forum is not managed directly by MSI lately?
use a fan controller is not a solution to the problem!
you can not really think that just because you use the external controller.
if MSI creates software with the same problem on all chipsets,
then MSI should fix this software!
otherwise does not produce even, which is less disappointment around.
for my opinion then check the BIOS is much better than using anti-aesthetic Rheobus ..
optional S / W is part of the motherboard itself, while SpeedFan is a third-party utility ... the situation is the same..
I will open a ticket, but it is absurd that MSI does not realize that their own software has this great Bug ..
you say you can not be faulted, and instead I think yes.
    especially if you love MSI.
I with 7 Mobo MSI + 6 VGA MSI I can say I devoted customer, and always recommendMSI products to all around..
all software MSI are good, afterburned, video genie, fast boot, and also the ControlCenter II for the management of the cpu and ram is good software!
my anger is that there is only this damn small bug in the software fan control, and I do not understand that the manufacturer and users (inside and outside the forum) do nothing to have a solution!

Why this sudden realisation that you are missing something on all the MSI boards that you acquired over the years.
Did you ever inform MSI about this at the time that you purchased each and every board ?
the reason is my laziness to contact customer support (and laziness to write here) that I missed until now.
is because with P45 diamond7memory lover Customer Support could not solve the problem.
and because H67 & h61 htpc that are in use a short time
and because z68 erain bench test that used very little time (due to living with my girlfriend) and I have to resell soon.
but now that I have just arrived Z77 & B75 I want to solve this problem.
and if I decided now-finally-maybe I had more important things to do, but now I realized that it is not possible that all boards have bad dialogue with MSI ControlCenter!

  • I cannot access the control center.  I can swipe down to get to the calendar, but nothing works for the control center.  I have 4s.  anyone else having this issue?

Anyone having problems trying to use the new Control Center on ios7?    I cannot get this to work at all

Have you verified that Control Center is activated in settings for use on both the lock screen and within apps? Control Center works flawlessly on my 4s.
Maybe try a reset if you haven't already?

Intel absolute max is 100C, but for 24/7 continuous temps 70 to 80C under full load is a sensible.
My personal comfort zone is around 70C. I use Prime95 to see where the temps top out. As long as that is 80 or below, I am happy, as I know that no program that I use stresses the CPU 100% all the time.
The only time I made sure that I stayed at 75 max was when I was folding. That pushes the CPU to 100%. I ran my 2600K for one year continuous and the core temps were always between 65 and 75 at 4,5GHz, my core voltage was at around 1,35V. That CPU still has no issue.
    Thank you for your feedback.
In fact, I'm looking for how to proceed with MSI Control Center to achieve the optimal settings for overclocking.
What are the steps to increase the multiplier and possibly increase the voltage?
Then, indeed, I think it will be better to enter these overclocking settings in the bios.
