I think is loss account SQL server 2008r2!

    Hello,
I stronly recommend you post the detail error message to us while you try to connect to SQL Server instance, it's useful for us to do further investigation.
Microsoft recommends that you do not install SQL Server 2008 R2 on a domain controller, there are some limitations:
You cannot run SQL Server services on a domain controller under a local service account or a network service account.
After SQL Server is installed on a computer, you cannot change the computer from a domain member to a domain controller. You must uninstall SQL Server before you change the host computer to a domain controller.
After SQL Server is installed on a computer, you cannot change the computer from a domain controller to a domain member. You must uninstall SQL Server before you change the host computer to a domain member.
SQL Server failover cluster instances are not supported where cluster nodes are domain controllers.
SQL Server Setup cannot create security groups or provision SQL Server service accounts on a read-only domain controller. In this scenario, Setup will fail.
On Windows Server 2003, SQL Server services can run under a domain account or a local system account.
So, I would suggest you try to open up Windows Services list and changed the account for SQL Server service.

  • Windows 8.1 Enterprise joined to Active Directory, shows email login

In Windows 7, I knew how to set the login default domain to Active Directory via the registry. That setting does not seem to have the same effect in Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
I have a tablet joined successfully, and can login without any errors. The only problem I have is when it boots up, or someone logs out, the login screen defaults to the MS Live email login. We do not use that in our Domain, and I want to either disable
that option, or set it to connect to our Active Directory servers as the first option.
I have looked in Local Group Policy, the Registry, etc. and have not found anything that refers to that. Is it something simple that I am just overlooking?
    AKChappy

I believe the group policy you are looking for is called "Accounts: Block Microsoft Accounts"
You can find it here: Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options

  • Seem to be Stuck on Build 9926 & Activation Problems (Windows 10 Technical Enterprise Preview)

I appear to be stuck on Build 9926 of the Windows 10 Technical Enterprise Preview:
When I click on the Check for Updates button it appears very briefly to go through the process of checking, but never updates the "last checked" date.  I have tried switching to the fast ring but that doesn't make any
    difference.
It may be relevant that I am also unable to activate the OS also.  I have tried "slui.exe 3" which fails, and also "slui.exe 4" for telephone activation which fails because there are only 7 blocks of numbers for me to verify on the
screen (A to G) but the automated system wants to enter 8 blocks (A to H).
Can anyone make a suggestion on how to get a later build?

    Hi Pessable,
Please open gpedit.msc and check the following path:
    Computer Configuration/Administrative Templete/Windows Components/Windows Update
On the right side, find the Configure Automatic Update, Enable this settings, then click apply.
After that, verify your registry settings is the same as below:
After that, check the update again. If the above is not going to work, use the 9926 ISO to run the DISM command:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image
    /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:X:\sources\Install.wim:1
    /LimitAccess

  • How to Activate Windows 8.1 Enterprise with Windows 8 Enterprise MAK?

I bumped into this problem when being assigned to deal with the activation of Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
There are around 6 notebooks in my team, and they seldom connect to corporation network so are essentially isolated from our KMS server. Therefore we used to install Windows 8 Enterprise and activate these Windows 8's with an Enterprise MAK. However, These
Windows 8 are going to be upgraded to Windows 8.1 Enterprise but my team is not given the MAK of Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Hence I am going to activate the Windows 8.1 Enterprise with my existing Windows 8 Enterprise MAK.
To the best of my knowledge, there are 3 ways to upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 8.1:
Install Windows 8.1 with a Windows 8.1 DVD.
Install Windows 8 first, and upgrade to 8.1 through an Upgrade ISO.
Install Windows 8 first, and upgrade to 8.1 through Windows Marketplace.
I tried method 1 and 2 and found the Windows 8 MAK does not apply to Windows 8.1, in which slmgr -ipk would fail. Method 3 requires a full installation of all available Windows Updates first so I did not try it yet. I wonder if there is any possibility to
activate the Windows 8.1 Enterprise with a Windows 8 Enterprise MAK. Any reply would be appreciated.
By the way, my corporation do purchase the Software Assurance. I cannot get the 8.1 MAK due to management issue.

Seems like it is illegal issue if management is against upgrade ;-)
I do not think that this is a right way for Enterprise edition. New install is tyhe only option. There are some workaround on Internet, but these are not according to official upgrade path.
Every multilicense program has its program administrator that could either help or can elevate problem to MS support services.

  • Getting Group Policies to work on Windows 8.1 Enterprise and Windows 2012R2

Just have a question about applying GPO's to Windows 8.1 Enterprise PC's. We have Windows server 2008 R2 DC's in our environment, so if we want to use the new policy definitions for Windows 8.1 Enterprise, we have to download them and put them in the Central
store on the Windows 2008 R2 DC server, will this be enough ? Or we have to Extend the schema of our Active directory to Windows 2012 R2 first by adding 2012 R2 DC to our Active Directory.
In otherwords what are the requirements for appying the new Windows 8.1 policy definitions in our Windows 2008 R2 environment ?

    > have to download them and put them in the Central store on the Windows
    > 2008 R2 DC server, will this be enough ?
    For ADM templates: Yes.
    > Or we have to Extend the schema
For "some" settings, yes. Bitlocker Key storage, eg.
    > In otherwords what are the requirements for appying the new Windows 8.1
    > policy definitions in our Windows 2008 R2 environment ?
    Define "policy definitions" :)

  • Desktop Image wont display in Windows 8.1 Enterprise

    Hi
So everything worked fine on my laptop yesterday ( Toshiba)My laptop is running Windows 8.1 Enterprise.  It is activated. When I started my laptop, only the initial startup image showed.  When I go into Personalize, it shows only solid colours,
not even the windows default themes will display.  My folder locations are in the same place, and all the settings seem to be correct.
Please advise, its not life threatening, but it is annoying.

    Hi,
The log files would be expected to be under applications and services logs/Microsoft/Windows
if Hyper-V has been turned on.
Besides, there is another way to fix corrupt files in Windows 8.1. Take a try with the DISM command tool:
Fixing component store corruption in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012
Please type the command below in CMD:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Then please re-enable Hyper-V feature and then check if issue could be fixed.

  • Windows 8.1 Not Activating On KMS Host

I have a KMS 3.1 running on 2008R2. The goal is to be able to activate Windows 8.1. It all appears to be running properly, but the client running 8.1 will not activate. Below are a series of
    questions and errors:
    Environment:
Server: VAMT 3.1 on WS 2008R2
    Client:  Windows 8.1 Enterprise
    Questions:
After installing the VAMT 3.1, on the server hosting the application I ran slmgr /ipk <<using a key for the ws 2008 R2>>
Any other key returned an invalid  key error.
Is this the correct key to use?
When do I use the slmgr /ipk, on the client the I need to activate or on the VAMT (KMS) server?
When adding new Windows 8.1 KMS keys to the VAMT, am I suppose to use the public ones or the keys from our VL account?
    KMS Client Setup Keys:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867.aspx
When do I use the GLVK (listed on the site above) versus the CSVLK?
    Errors:
    On the client
I have ran: slmgr /ipk MHF9N-XY6XB-WVXMC-BTDCT-MKKG7 (this is a GVLK) on the client and success.
Then I go and do: slmgr /ato  and I get:
    Event logs show:
The client has sent an activation request to the key management service machine.

I run the nslookup to confirm the dns entries:  success
    On the server
Within VAMT, I right click on the client which I wish to activate and select:
I get the following error:  The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
If I select Volume activate, I get:
The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
    I run slmgr /dli, I get:
And if I run slmgr /dli all, I get:
I do not see anything licensed.

Don thank you for the reply ...  So I have gone ahead and installed our KMS key for WS 2012 Standard R2, and this is what I get now:

  • Hyper V in Windows 8.1 Enterprise does not work.

    Hi All,
I am using Windows 8.1 Enterprise edition (Product is activated). I installed the Hyper V feature and when i open the Hyper V manager i don't see my system there. When i click on connect to server and click Local computer i get a cross mark my computer name.
    With the below screen shot.
I checked and Virtualisation feature was enabled in my bios. Also added my account to the Hyper V Administrator Local security group. When i went to the services.msc and when i try to start the services(All hyper V) it does not start. I get the below errors.
Below is the screenshot of the Error.
I installed a Windows server 2012 R2 in the same desktop and in that O/S Hyper V works Fine. I have issues only with the Windows 8.1 Edition.
    Can anyone please help.

    Hi,
The log files would be expected to be under applications and services logs/Microsoft/Windows
if Hyper-V has been turned on.

  • Management Pack for Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1

    Hello,
I tried to manage the performance of a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 (6.0.6001) but SCOM 2007 R2 just check the availability with a ping status.
I have installed the normal management packs:
On the same SCOM, I have servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 and they work perfect.
    What can I do?

    Hi Journey Tinoco,
Performance can be monitored by using the active alerts TAB where a alert / alerts will be triggered based on the default management pack which you have installed / imported or if you have created a custom monitor based on your preference on what performance
counter you want to monitor on windows server 2008 servers VIA SCOM.
Or you can pull server performance report specific for Windows server 2008 from the reporting TAB as per the below screen shot for details.
The one which you are opened is the health explorer view which is not showing much details.
Go to reporting TAB ===> Select Windows server 2008 operating system monitoring and then What ever appropriate report you need to pull based on your requirement. For example i have pulled a report below for "Operating system performance.
Over here Click object and select the computer name and the icon should be a Windows serve / Computer as per the icon in my screen shot below. Select the time and date from and to the report you want and dont touch the add object option. Once done click
the Run button on the left to you will get the report as below.
Please note: If the below report is what you are looking for is not available in your SCOM's  reporting TAB. Then you have not installed the reporting Management pack for Windows server 2008 monitoring. Download
    it from the below link.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi,
This error means that your DC does not support the encryption method the ACS wants to use.
Usually this happens when you run 2008 Server with 2003 functionality...
You will need to run ktpass.exe according to the DC you are running:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/configuration_guide/48/cas/s_adsso.html#wp1277452.
For Windows 2008 Server at 2003 Server functional level:
ktpass -princ newadsso/[adserver.][email protected] -mapuser newadsso -pass
    PasswordText -out c:\newadsso.keytab -ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL
    HTH,
    Tiago

  • Directory Security Strange Permissions Issues (Windows Server 2003 running Active Directory)

I have a user that all of a sudden was not able to open 70% of her files located on a file server, Windows Server 2003 running Active Directory, from her laptop. The same user can access all the same files from a different machine, logging on with the same
credentials. Just looking for a point in the right direction and a possible theory as what could cause this problem, an why all of a sudden. I did go back through the logs but nothing sticks out. For the most part the logs on the server and the laptop are
    pretty clean.
Both machines are Latitude E5420s running Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1. Both machines are 64bit and connect to the network via hard-wire, not wireless.
    Thanks in advanced.
    Grajek

I would recommend proceeding that way:
Check that your DCs are in a healthy state and AD replication is fine: It might be that the user is member of security groups and the membership is not getting replicated properly which can cause this random behavior. You can use
dcdiag and repadmin for checks and you can refer to my recommendations here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/18513.active-directory-replication-issues-basic-troubleshooting-steps-single-ad-domain-in-a-single-ad-forest.aspx
Make  sure that the file server is reachable from the user client computer. Start with
ping and nslookup. Also, you need to make sure that the traffic between the client and the server is not blocked or filtered. You might want to temporary disable security software for testing

  • Enterprise Activation screen pops up when unlocking device...

This has started happening to around 6 of my users. When they are unlocking their 8900's the Enterprise Activation screen pops up (with no information filled in) We run BES5.0 and these devices have been activated for atleast 12 months. No changers have been made to the server or policies in over a month. Has anyone else experienced this? Obviously all they have to do is close it, but then it comes back next time they unlock the device. Thanks, Edd...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I just found this over at blackberryforums, it seems a reactivation of the device would appear to solve the issue...I'll give it a try later today if I have time, TGIF!

  • How to install Windows 8.1 Enterprise on Ultrabook which came with basic Windows 8.1

    Hi,
I guess I'm not the first one with this question but anyway...
I've got 2000EUR expensive Ultrabook recently, and what's interesting it came with Windows 8.1. Just standard basic Windows 8.1, not Pro or Enterprise.
Obviously I needed to upgrade it with larger SSD 1Tb and install Windows 8.1 Enterprise as I need Hyper-V and other Enterprise version functionality on day to day bases.
I was surprised that I can't do so as SLIC is reverting Windows 8.1 back to basics!!!
.. so my question is - How can I can Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64Bit on to very expensive Ultrabook which came with Windows 8.1?!?!
    Kind Regards,
    Kon

    Hi,
Enterprise edition of Windows Client OS, is not available via OEM and not via Retail - it's only available via Volume Licensing agreement.
you can purchase an upgrade to Pro, via the Microsoft Store:
