Please help. I have tried all the solutions that I found but that problem still exists.

Hi,
Is there any application running when this problem occures, msvcrt.dll file belongs to Microsoft C Runtime Library. Actually most problem like yours does not caused by this file. In most cases, system or other application crashed caused by other process.
Firstly, you can try to download and reinstall C++ library for test. If no use,I would like to suggest you following another that had similar problem with yours, then, following Andre's reply to collect this application crash log, after that, upload the
log file to your sharing space and share with us.

    Kate Li,
I think the problem began about 2/14. There were many updates installed on 2/13 I have placed a screen shot of the update history below. Because I will be taking an exam starting on Monday, I will not be able to add these in to see which one is causing the
error for a couple of weeks. By the way, IE is also not working properly either I cannot add to favorites, open the internet options, and click on many buttons on web pages.

    Hi all,
I could resolve some of the issues posted here with the fix offered by jeffcoffee under http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1595916&start=285&tstart=0 (However, I still have the R6034 error message. Would be great to have a fix for that too).
    This is what he did:
    copy the file 'sqlite3.dll'
    from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support'
    to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support'
*In a 32 bit Windows OS remove (x86) from the path.
Another potential dll issue might be: 'libxml2.dll', follow the same copy routine. If the first one does not fix it.

  • When updating iTunes on my Windows PC, I am getting a M/S Visual C   runtime error...can anyone suggest how to fix it?

When updating iTunes on my Windows PC, I am getting a M/S Visual C   runtime error...can anyone suggest how to fix it?

It has been discussed a few times, and is even available in the Apple support web site.  Basically, you need to un-install all teh Apple software you have installed, then re-install it all.  When you re-install, right click on theinstaller and select "Run as Administrator" to make sure it has The proper rights to complete the installation.

  • Visual C++ Runtime Error on Windows Vista

I've been unable to use iTunes for the past few months because of this error. The message tells me that "+This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way+."
This all started two updates ago, when they first added ringers. I have made sure Norton is not interfering like I read it sometimes does. I've deleted both iTunes and Quicktime, as well as all of their folders and my iTunes Library and re-installed and nothing. I've also gone through my programs list and removed things I installed around the time I started having problems.
I also had this Facebook App called Qloud for iTunes and even though I uninstalled it maybe it messed something up. Any ideas! I miss my music!!!!!!!

    Give this a shot:
On the Start menu, click All Programs.
    Click Accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.
When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Continue.
At the command prompt type the following:
    regsvr32 vbscript.dll
    Press Enter on your keyboard.
A message should appear stating "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.
    Hope this helps,

  • J2re-1_4_1_01-windows-i586.exe  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtim

    I am using Netscape 6.2.1, Windows 98
    I download Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition 1.4.1_01
    * Download j2re-1_4_1_01-windows-i586.exe .
    Filesize = 8,015,928 bytes.
When I looked in the directory the file was listed as
    j2re-1_4_1_01-windows-i586
    7,829KB
Does the file downloaded size discrepency have significance?
Double clicking on the file activated the process:
    "After the InstallShield Wizard
    Setup Status
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_01 Setup is performing the requested operations."
After that function appered to finish with a 100% complete, I received the following error:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\JAVA\J2RE1.4.1_01\LIB\UNPACK.EXE
    abnormal program termination
    OK"
Note, I may have installed Visual C++ in the past but have never used it. Does this error imply there are some missing links to Visual C++ that have confused and caused an error?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    [email protected]

    Hi, crlare,
    The official file size
    8,015,928 bytes
    = (8,015,928 / 1024) kilobytes, since 1 kbyte = 1024 bytes
    = 7828.0546875 kbytes
= 7829 kbytes after rounding up
Therefore your downloaded file seems to have the correct size. To make a better check,
    1. right click on your downloaded file;
    2. select Properties;
    3. check the size in bytes in brackets against the official size in bytes; the "bytes used" is the actual space allocated to store the data.
The Visual C++ runtime error is caused by a faulty installation of the Java bundle, which could have arisen due to interference by other applications that are open during the installation of the Java bundle. e.g. Interference by virus protection software running in the background. This error has also been known to occur in the installations of other programs.
To fix the problem, uninstall the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) you have installed, and reinstall it with all non-critical applications closed:
    1. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, select Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_01 (or something similar), click on the Add/Remove button to uninstall the JRE.
    3. Reboot your system.
    4. Close all non-critical applications, including background running programs such as antivirus programs and Microsoft Task Scheduler. This can be checked/done by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del, selecting each item except Explorer (and Systray), and clicking End Task for each.
    5. Reinstall the JRE.
    6. Reboot your system.
    Hope this helps.

  • I have a visual C    runtime error stopping my pse elements 10 running in win 8.1. I am not a techie so am looking for a very clear way to resolve teh issue without needing too much technical ability. Can anyone help?

I had been using my elements 10 for much of the day so do not know what I have done to upset it! I was starting up again and it began to load then offered me this line of script re a 'runtime error'. That means nothing to me except that it no longer works. I have had a peek on Google and see various suggested fixes from sources I don't know whether to trust. Also some fixes give a list of do's that to a non techie like me are not followable. Can anyone offer me some understandable guidance so I can get back to playing with my photos?

You'll need to ask in the Photoshop Elements forum whose members can better answer this.

Also keep a brief summary in the subject line and use the main posting window to describe your issue in detail.

If the issue doesn’t appear in clean boot mod, you can determine which one can be the cause by using dichotomy in MSconfig. Checking on half of Non-Microsoft service and restart, determining which half of the services cause the issue and repeating to check
half of the problematic half services.
Otherwise, please test the issue in Safe mode and let me know the results, then provide the screenshot of the error.

  • Content Copier - MS Visual C++ Runtime Error

Hi I have searched through the posts for Nokia PC Suite and have failed to see any issues that remotely resemble mine. These are my setup details: Phone: Nokia 6255 Cable: CA-53 PC Suite: 6.81.13.0 PC: Windows XP SP2 - all latest patches Upon finally getting a genuine Nokia cable (believe me cheaper cables just don't work) i've have been able to get PC Suite to connect to my Nokia 6255. I am able to browse the contacts, and keep a connection to the phone. However I am unable to even run the Backup option from the PC Suite. When Content Copier tries to load I get the splash screen then Content Copier runs saying connected to phone. A few seconds after that I then get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. Runtime error! Program: C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 6\ContentCopier.exe This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Pressing OK button terminates the program leaving me back at the Nokia PC Suite. Any ideas people? By the looks of it my PC is looking for some types of runtime files but which ones? Shouldn't they all be contained and installed as part of the installation of PC Suite? Regards Ken

Do you have any other issues?
When I click on Settings in Synchronise, nothing happens
When I click Synchronise, nothing happens.
When I connect my phone through InfraRed, i get an error "PC Suite does not recognise the connected phone. The Serial Number of the phone is invalid. Switch off your phone, switch it on, andry again"
I can view my Contacts etc through the Nokia Phone Browser.

  • Premier Elements 11 - anyone know the fix ?  - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error - shutting down Premier Elements 11
I see there are the fixes out there for Photoshop elements, but can't find the fix for Premier Elements 11. Anyone know where it is ?

    AC
Thanks for the reply. I understand your situation. It is not a good place to be.
The deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file, or, if necessary, the whole 11.0 Folder in which it exists
should only affect the preferences that you see in Edit Menu/Preferences/General. So, if you have customized any of
them, you will need to reset them to your customized values after the consequences of the deletions are determined.
In no way move, delete, or rename files/folders that are imported into a project after the project has been saved closed.
The consequences can be disastrous from the point of view of reconnecting source media to the project file.
At one time you must have had to connect your Premiere Elements 11 Windows to the Internet to get it installed/activated.
Also, there are some "supposedly" one time activations for certain features that need an Internet connection. I have
always worked with Premiere Elements Windows with an Internet connection so I am not sure if any of these deletions
under your circumstances will have effects other than what I described. And, it is not unthinkable that a one time activation
for a particular feature may suddenly require another activation.
What you could do, instead of deletion the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file or the 11.0 Folder in which it exists, do as
the Adobe document suggests, and rename the file/folder to disable which will allow you to get back what was there
    before if necessary.
Consider the above, and we will think about this some more.
    Thanks.

After reinstalling Audition cs5.5, I get a visual C++ runtime error at startup.  I have never had a problem before on a reinstallation.  I have tried uninstall and reinstall without any success.  Is their a version of Visual C++ that is needed here?  Is this an incompatibility problem with Win 8.1?  Has anyone else had this problem?  I haven't had any luck in the FAQ section.

The only issues I've ever heard about involving this appear to have been caused by having too many versions of the run-time on a machine. I'm not entirely sure what the situation with software only running properly with the version it was intended to is, but apparently clearing out older versions (you can check this out and remove them if you want using the normal uninstall routine) has fixed this particular problem on at least one occasion. It's worth investigating, anyway.
