Windows 8.1 for HP Wireless Elite v2 Desktop

Hi,
Does anyone have a download for the above mentioned keyboard?
I tried to search for it via several methods, however, I did not manage to find drivers for it.
I need them mainly because of the CAPS LOCK indicator. This is not physically available on the keyboard.

  • Missing USB driver / dongle for HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2

    Hello there,
I recently lost my usb driver / dongle for my keyboard and mouse (HP Wireless Elite Desktop V2). I am unable to use both keyboard and mouse.
What is the solution for this problem. Can you send me a replacement usb dongle / driver. I sincerely appreciate your help.
    Thanks and regards,
    Samy Pal

    Samy,
The Elite Desktop v2 uses Link 5 technology but my understanding is there is no individual Dongles available.
You would have to buy a whole new Mouse, etc, etc. to get a new Dongle.
You can always contact HP Support directly for your area/country and ask them yourself.

  • Linksys Easy Link Advisor for WRT310N Wireless Router after upgrading to Windows 7 (64bit)

I can't reinstall Linksys Easy Link Advisor for WRT310N Wireless Router after upgrading to Windows 7 (64bit).  When I went to Linksys site for solution for new drivers, it asked me for Hardware Version Number.  This model doesn't show one.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

Sabertooth is right. If you are able to go online from your Router then you don't need to install LELA software on your Computer.

  • HP Wireless Elite keyboards (2) not communicating at all.

My HP wireless elite keyboard (no mouse) worked with my old laptop and another computer, plug and play, even if I didn't install any software.   However, it won't connect with my new ones.    Both the laptop and the other desktop it worked on have since crashed.  Today I tried 2 HP Wireless Elite keyboards on a different laptop and 2 new desktop computers with no success.
Plugging in the USB hub, the computer says it loads the driver fine, but no output from the keyboards at all. I've tried:
Pressing and holding the connect button on the keyboards multiple times.
I loaded the software and the icon sees that the batteries are full.
I changed the batteries, anyway, to no avail.
Checked the control panel. The keyboard is shown in devices and printers and the status shows it's working fine.
I tried to the update the driver through Device Properties but it says the latest one is already installed.
I went to the HP site and downloaded new software, anyway, but no luck.
I've tried the above on 3 different computers. Two have Windows 7 64 bit and one has Windows XP 64 bit.  Same results.  I also have another HP Wireless Elite keyboard bought a few years ago but never opened until today.   It’s showing the exact same symptoms.
I notice that the blue light on the USB hub only stays on for a few seconds when plugged in (both of them). It doesn't turn on when the connect button is pressed nor when any key is pressed.    I thought this light used to flash all the time, or at least when I was typing, though it was plugged into the back of the computer so I could be wrong about exactly when it came on.  I just remember the blinking used to be distracting at night.
I hate to have to buy new keyboards when I have two of my favorites right here. They weren’t cheap, either.
    This question was solved.

I was finally able to get the keyboards to work.  Turns out it was the TYPE of battery used.  Duracell copper top, brand new Energizer Ultimate Lithium ($$), and Energizer Industrial did NOT work.  I used the batteries that came with the new keyboard and it works.  They just say Energizer on them, no special titles or adjectives afterward.
    That is incredibly picky.

What does the "half-moon" marked key on the upper left side of the keyboard do?

Hello barrybear, You might try going to the Control Panel, Devices and Printers, and in the upper menu bar, select add device.
Then see if the device can be found. If so, Windows 7 may install the drivers for it.
Even though the keyboard worked on an earlier system, it may not be compatible with the newer Dell system.

  • Windows 7 Home Sharing Problem (wireless/ Ethernet)

    Hello
I spent a few days trying to figure out why home sharing didn't work. I've got 2 windows 7 pc. So comptuer A can detect computer B iTunes library but computer B cannot detect computer A library although the settings such as allow sharing on iTunes preferences are all checked.
Comptuer A was connected using ethernet cable and computer B was using wireless. Both are desktop at different location of the house connected to the same network.
So when I insert an wireless adaptor to Comptuer A and conects it wirelessly to my router, the homesharing appears. Whereas when i connect it with an ethernet cable, it fails.
Is there anyway to troubleshoot this issue?
    Thanks

I was able to resolve my issue. Here's how:
Did a lot of research on this. I have a Linksys WRT120N router where the only device not on Wifi was my Windows 7 PC (it was plugged in with an Ethernet cable while everything else was on Wifi). Having fiddled with the router settings to no avail, I went out and bought a Wireless USB adapter to put the Windows 7 PC on Wifi.
When I set that up, I could now see my Windows 7 library on the Apple TVs. However, when I went into the library, it was stuck on "Loading Library" in perpetuity.
I looked in my list of Windows services running (Start -> Control Panel -> Search for "Services") and noticed that, even though I disabled the Windows Firewall in the System and Security settings, the Windows Firewall service was still running. I disabled the service (right click -> properties) and restarted the computer. Voila, it works now.
It is possible that the problem was the Windows Firewall service (not the Wireless), but I've read countless posts where people had issues with the devices being on wired and Wifi and not seeing each other. As such, I haven't (and don't plan to) tested it back with just the Ethernet cable. If you're having my issue, you can try that first.
I should also note that when this wasn't working, I was also unable to use my iPhone to pair as a remote with iTunes. It would pair but the iPhone would be stuck in "Looking for" when I tried to control the library. This is now also fixed after doing the above.
Hope this helps anyone else frustrated out there.

  • HP Pavilion Elite e9280t Desktop PC power on/start windows issue

HP Pavilion Elite e9280t Desktop PC, Windows 7 Pro.  When powered on (using the power switch), the blue power light and amber hard drive lights on the front illuminate, but monitor shows no signal and the keyboard lights do not come on.  F10 on the keyboard doesn't bring anything up on the screen either.  Sounds like there is hard drive activity, but the amber light does not flash.  If I put a bootable dvd in the drive, it appears to read the dvd, but does not boot from it (nothing appears on the monitor.)  Monitor, keyboard and mouse have been verified operational.  Hard drive data appears to be intact and have verified 12v and 5v operational from power supply.  Haven't found a place to verify 3v power.  Depressing the power switch does not turn the computer off, only way is to unplug the power cord.  This sympton happened a couple of weeks ago, but after several power cycles, it booted fine and worked for a while.  Not this time, though.

    HI JIMINFL:
How was your weekend, I  hope  it was super!
I understand that when you boot up, you get a blank screen. You also said that you know the keyboard, mouse and monitor are working.  I am sending you a link to a document on "Monitor or TV is Blank after Starting the Computer" click here. I am also sending "HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI" click here to test for hardware failures. Please let me know the outcome.

  • May a recent i Mac be installed as the host computer for a wireless community

May a recent iMac be installed as the Host Computer for a wireless community. The present situation is; the iMac is subservient to the e Mac. I do not want to have two computers. I have one guest on the wireless.

There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.

  • Bootcamp:  Two keyboards needed -- one for Windows and one for Mac?

Oh, the ground-pounding frustration! I bought the Apple wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard with my new dual-core Intel iMac, and was told it would work in both Windows and Mac worlds. Not so! It works fine with Apple OS, but not with Windows XP. Frustratingly, the wireless mighty-mouse works (after you left-click), but the keyboard won't work. Sometimes it will work if I turn it on and off a few times. And yes, I have activated the bluetooth finder in "control panel" under the Windows OS, and yes, both are recognized and "connected." (So is an HP printer which works well, albeit slowly.) I had to buy a Microsoft wired USB keyboard to get through the Windows setup. Curiously, this Microsoft wired keyboard works with both the Windows and Mac OS.
I have another issue, also, but perhaps it would best if I posted it separately. Still, if anyone can tell me why this computer cannot come out of "standby" in Windows without hanging up (weird colors on screen, half-brightness in screen, locked mouse and keyboard), I'd appreciate it very much.
    Please reply to: [email protected]
And thank you very much indeed for any insight you can provide. Maybe I should just go buy the wired Apple keyboard and mouse?
20" iMac Intel dual core     Running Bootcamp

Sorry, but here's the work from the BootCamp Requirements/FAQ page (emphasis mine):
"Are there any Macintosh features that I should not expect to work when running Windows XP on an Intel-based Macintosh computer?
Even after installling the Macintosh Drivers CD, the Apple Remote Control (IR), Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard or mouse, Apple USB Modem, MacBook Pro's sudden motion sensor, and MacBook Pro's ambient light sensor will not function correctly when running Windows."
So it does indeed look like you'll need a wired keyboard and mouse, at least for now (we'll have to see what's supported when Leopard comes out).

That depends on what type of connection your display has and whether or not your PC has a video card used for display or if you are using the onboard video outputs.
Do you really mean PC monitor ( the old school kind) or did you mean to say LCD display (thin flat screens) instead?

  • Searching for USB Wireless for OS 9/X

    Hello,
I am in search of a wireless USB adapter which works for OS 9 and also OS X. Can someone provide me with the name of some vendors who still carry 802.11b usb adapters for Mac OS 9?
    Thanks.

Bluetooth for Mac on an USB stick
I used this for many years for connecting to my old desktop G4, and i guess i might have used it on OS 9.2.x too. Used it with my "fancy" *Nokia 6230i* with the impressive 2G network (ref- http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6230i-1087.php), mostly for photo transfers, but also with BluePhoneElite managing my SMS messages, backing them up to my Mac, the important ones. Worked like a dream, mostly.
Just to day i removed it from my USB HUB to day, where it was still connected to an active up and going G4, where it worked well also in OS X up to OS 10.4.11 (haven't updated the G4 further, since it only is in use besides my new iMac.)
Point is, this is a version 1 USB, but it also works with USB 2 devices, as is my experience with USB 1 and 2. I may run USB 1 on USB 2 devices, but only with the speed of the version standard.
The USB Bluetooth stick i used is: D-Link Model No: DBT-120. It got the MacUser (magazine) awards of 2002. I did a search at search.yippy.com (D-Link DBT-120) and found it here http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=34
...Since my early version it's updated to USB 2 standard, but it may well work still for older Macs running OS 9.x.
Further search for buying some to day showed Amazon on the top of th pirice list, at $ 79.95!!!
    - On the D-Link homepage you also find links for reatilers, and then the prices varies from $23 to $ 40, shown in the javascript pop-up window for the retailers.
