Windows 8.1 Hyper-V - Error while configuring the hard disk 0xC03A0014

Hello. I have just enabled Hyper-V on my Windows 8.1 laptop.
Dell Latitude E7440 i7-4600U @ 2.10GHz
I can create a Virtual-Switch but I am unable to create a new Hard Disk or Virtual Machine within Hyper-V. I get the same error for both processes.
Error: The Virtual Machine Management Service encountered an error while configuring the hard disk on virtual machine New Virtual Machine.
Failed to create the virtual hard disk.
The system failed to create C:\Users\user\Documents\Test\New.vhdx .
Failed to create the virtual hard disk
The system failed to create C:\Users\user\Documents\Test\New.vhdx . A Virtual disk support provider for the specified file was not found. (0xC03A0014).
I have ran all Dell Client System updates and all of windows updates.
I have attempted to create a virtual machine on the current SSD and also an external drive. The same error appears.
I have also attempted to create a virtual hard disk via Hyper-v with a Base vhdx, still the same error occurs. I've tested the base image on other laptops of the same model and windows 8.1 without issue.
Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

"Enable Data Execution Protection (DEP) in the BIOS and make sure the Format of drive file system is not fat32.
1. Uninstall Intel Active System Monitor 3.0, if installed.
2. Disable "Intel IPMI Service" and "Intel Monitoring Agent" Service.
3. Open regedit and locate: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\imbdrv.
4. Change the Start Key to 4 (Disabled).
5. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E97D-E325-11CE-BFC1-0 8002BE10318}.
6. Take ownership of the ‘Properties’ key.
7. Give yourself full permission for this key.
8. Now locate the properties key; if you see a ‘Security’ entry there, that is your problem. Delete this key.
9. Try attaching or adding the VHD again after rebooting.
If above steps did not help, add the Network Service account to Local Administrator group."

If you have not backup the data, then you can try data recovery software to retrieve the data.

Windows Server 201? Are you sure?
What sort of machine are you trying to install and run Hyper-V on? What OS is it running?

I am using Content DB 10.2.0.0.1 with Infrastucture 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows 2003, and have the situation as described in Bug No. 6164515 on Metalink:
"ERROR CREATED UNDER \SYSMAN\RECV\ERRORS FILLING UP THE HARD DISK
Files like A0000000064.err_2007_06_29_17_45_53 are created in %ORACLE_HOME%\clin-app-01_oasinfra\sysman\recv\errors\ one every minute on the oracle infrastructure instance, filling up the hard disk and bringing the application to a hault."
I have such log generation too, for a few month nearly 10 Gb of logs have been generated. The content of the files are similar, and begin with:

Error While Configuring the Shared Service with Active Directory

Hi All,
I am getting a error while configuring MSAD with Shared Service, when entering the User Id and password and clicking next, the following error is displayed:
"EPMCSS-05180:Failed to validate Security configuration. Failed to connect. Invalid values for Base DN, User DN or Password. Enter valid value(s). Root Cause : [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C0903A9, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v1db1]"
The AD user has the read access to the all users and group in Active Directory. If I use an Active Directory user with Admin privilege, It is getting connected.
But client is not ready to provide the Admin Access due to their internal policy and I also don't have any document which says admin privilege is required. According to the document,the user should have the following privileges only.
"The distinguished name of the user that Shared Services should use to bind with the user directory. This user must have search privilege on the RDN attribute within the DN. For example, in the dn: cn=John Doe, ou=people, dc=myCompany, dc=com, the bind user should have search access to the cn attribute.Special characters in User DN must be specified using escape characters. See “Using Special Characters” on page 46 for restrictions.
Example: cn=admin,dc=myCompany,dc=com
But I am getting confused with the statement "This user must have search privilege on the RDN attribute within the DN". Is it not search privillege?
Can anybody help me with required privilege for Active Directory user to configure with Shared Service.

i tried connecting using AD Browser from Microsoft, and it went in properly. then i found out that the AD Team here were giving a Wrong Credentials to connect, they Gave me HYP_OID which infact turned out to be a Principal name instead of a 'cn'.
after searching in the AD Browser i found the correct cn which is "Hyperion OID", then it went to the second Screen where now i am trying to search for the Users based on thier Job Nature.

I have installed SOA Suite 11g on my Win 7 machine 64bit OS and while trying to configure the domain for the WebLogic Server. I fallowed the wizard and everything went well till the JDBC Component Schema window. Here I am able to pass through
1. BAM Schema- Failed
2. SOA Infrastructure-Failed
3. User Messaging Service-Passed
4. OWSM MDS Schema-Passed
5. SOA MDS Schema-Passed
and here is the error that i am facing...

I googled the error and tried to check whether the Schema_version_registry has any rows are not and initially i don't have any and then I have created table named "Schema_version_registry" and then inserted the values accordingly..

INSERT INTO schema_version_registry(owner, mr_type, version) VALUES ('DEV_SOAINFRA','MDS','11.1.1.2.0');

Error while configuring the ASM on linux

i am trying to implement ASM of the virtual machine.. i downloaded the ASM libraries and packages and installed them as a "root" user using the following command:
$>rpm -Uvh oracleasm*
after the installtion was done i went to configure the library driver by executing the following command(also as a root user)
$>/etc/init.d/oracleasm configure...
i answered all the question given by the command and then the following error message occured..

i don't have much experience with ASM to solve this problem, so if someone can help then i will appreciate it.

i have been trying to delete the ASM library driver and install it again but i get this message everytime i do so..,
[root@localhost RPMS]# rpm -ev oracleasm-2.6.9-55.0.0.0.2.EL-2.0.3-2.i686.rpm
error: package oracleasm-2.6.9-55.0.0.0.2.EL-2.0.3-2.i686.rpm is not installed
then i execute the following command to install it and the following appears.

Windows XP (sp2) will not update after replacing the hard disk of my Presario V4435NR with a new one

Hi,
I had to replace my Presario V4435NR hard disk (80 GB) with a new 160 GB hard disk from Samsung. The original hard disk did not crash but was churning all the time and did not have enough space for all I wanted to put on it. I installed the new 160 GB hard disk (which of course did not have the recovery partition that my old one had on it) and ran recovery from the recovery DVD I made when I first bought the laptop. Everything worked fine until I tried to update my xp through windows update website. This is the error # I get from windows updates (0x80072EE2).
How can I get my xp to run updates sealessly as it used to before?

I installed it already and things were fine (updates installed with no problems) for a while but the same problem resurfaced after I installed MS Office. Xp gave me the same error code when I tried to update. Woke up in the morning and tried windows update again and windows found lots of updates and installed them smoothly.
What is causing this inconsistency?
* Now, I'm unable to get any updates (windows updates website gives me the same error code)

While i try to configure a application server connection on Jdeveloper for a remote installation of ESB (advanced mode with all the three components together and not in a cluster mode) i get the following error :

i tried with taht.....same error.......is this an issue with port 6003 on the server........it is a linux server and I cannot telnet to it......i can use SSH though.......how to know whether the opmn port(6003) is open or not?.....

Error while configuring the People Soft adapter with ESB

Hi All,
We are intergarting PeopleSoft application using ESB ver 10.1.3.1
I have been following the Oracle Application Server Adapter for People Soft User's Guide.
The following are the steps covered.
1. Basic installation of the SOA Suite done (On the windows machine)
2.Packaged application adapters installed.
3. Post installation tasks carried out
a Installed Patch 5895585
b Library files copied(psjoa.jar from the target peoplesoft application server)
c.BSE deployment verification done.
d we would be using the file repository for BSE
Then I created a configuration for BSE (creating a new configuration )
And then I can see all the 3 nodes -Adapters,Events and Business Services.
But when I click on the adapters node I do not see any adapters and I get the following error:
"This application has failed to start because iwsiebel.core.dll was not found.Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
I have done the installation again but still getting the same error.
I checked and the above dll is present at the following location :
<Oracle_Home>\adapters\application\lib
<Oracle_Home>\j2ee\<oc4j_container>\connectors\jca-app-adapter\jca-app-adapter
Any pointers or suggestion on how I can overcome or resolve this issue..??

I have installed Oracle 11G and i am trying to create a Database via Database Configuration Assistant & i get following Error:

We have installed ALBPM Enterprise 6.0 for Weblogic edition to deploy ALBPM processes into Enterprise 6.0. I tried to configure directory through ALBPM admin center.
I have checked the below options and provided necessary information asked in the series of dialog boxes.
- Create Directory Service
- Create Process engine
- Create ALBPM application EARs
- BEA Weblogic Configuration
We get error in the last step (BEA weblogic configuration) stating that there is some problem in executing the WLST script:-
Problem invoking WLST - Traceback (innermost last):
File "C:\Documents and Settings\14360\.configWizard\tmp\config.py", line 640, in ?
NameError: engineType
We tried to deploy the ALBPM application EARs manually to weblogic. But there are lot of dependencies, so we couldn't successfuly deploy them.
Appreciate any help on resolving the WLST error.

I configured for the over and under payment. However whenever i try to to use the reason code i get an error . reason code with automatic charge off is not permitted here.I was using the Tcode F-28
The diagnosis says that the automatic posting requires adtional specifications.and since the difference is not from one open item this method can not be used.
Need help on this.
