yes, bigger RAM better for Windows 8.1 64 bit
and you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1, but you'll need to buy it as a DVD and perform a clean installation. You won't be able to keep any files, settings, or apps when you update from a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.
Please note that the Windows 8.1 Pro Pack is used to upgrade from
Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Pro, and isn't for cross-architecture installs and doesn't include any media. If you want to change architectures, buy

VS 2010 Pro "Other Project Types" / "Setup and Deployment": No items found

Hello,
I have VS 2010 Pro Version 10.0.40219.1 SP1 Rel. I have developed a VB.Net application and would like to deploy it. When I try to add a setup project to the solution, I get "No items found" where a list of project types should be in the "Add New Project"
dialog, "Installed Templates", "Other Project Types", "Setup and Deployment". Shouldn't the Pro version have those templates installed? If so, can I copy them from somewhere? I noticed that "Database" and "Test Projects" also have empty lists. There are lots
of templates available for the various languages.
I tried to modify the VS 2010 installation by adding support for SharePoint, but that did not help. Do I have to uninstall, reboot, and re-install? It's so cumbersome considering that I would need to redo the updates as well.
OS is Win 7 Pro, processor is Intel E8400.

Thanks for your post.
The Setup Project template is located in: Installed Templates >> Other Project Types >> Setup and Deployment >> Visual Studio Installer. Would you please check if the templates exists in this path?
If not, you can follow the steps below to reset your Visual Studio templates:
Please open Windows Explorer, and navigate to <Visual Studio Installation Path>\Common7\IDE
(by default is C:\Program Files \Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE);
Delete the ItemTemplatesCache, ProjectTemplatesCache
folder;
Open Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010) under Start menu -> All Programs -> Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 -> Visual Studio Tools (run it with Administrator privilege: right-click the program -> Run as administrator);
Run the devenv /InstallVSTemplates switch;
Run the devenv /Setup switch.

I'm not sure, but I suspect Visual Studio 2013 Express doesn't support Setup and Deployment.
I suggest you remove Visual Studio Express and use Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition instead. It has Express features and much, much more. And it's free.

To uninstall language package try following steps:
Type lpksetup.exe in search charm.
Press enter to open Install and uninstall display languages wizard.
Try to uninstall it.
If there is any error happened, post back here.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Thank you very much for your response. I have a similar question to the one Abraham has, but applied to an offline Apple Store, say, the one in Ginza.
I will have little time in Tokyo, and would like to get a MacBookPro with a US or Int'l keyboard (with or without Hiragana, I don't really care as long as there are English letters on the keyboard) off the shelf from an offline store. However, I keep getting conflicting responses from both within Apple and on forums.
There's an option to get a US keyboard when ordering from Apple online, and that's fine. How about the in-store pickup option? Is there one, or will there be a MacBookPro with an English keyboard if I just show up at a store one day soon?
I would greatly appreciate an answer if you have one. Thanks in advance!

Start iTunes. Second menu keyword at the top-left will be Edit. Click this and then click the last item on the menu that drops down which is Preferences. The left-most tab is General and last control on the tab is Language. Click the drop-down, select English UK or English US which should be the 8th & 9th items respectively, click OK. Close iTunes, reopen.

I can't find out if there is a credit card already attached to my apple ID and password. Every time I go into iTunes, as apple instructs me to do, I can't get into "Review", as it "times out" right after choosing the "united States" for the country of origin. Every time. All seven times now. I received this phone as a gift from my wife and she can't remember if there was a credit card put on file, but thinks there was, since she's pretty sure they wouldn't let her set up the apple account for the new phone without it. You would think that this should be easy to find with my ID and password and security info and all, but after almost an hour, we are at our wit's end!! Please help!!! THANK YOU!!!

Crystal Report XI merge module in the setup and deployment project VS 2005

Hello,
We've purchased and implemented Crystal Reports XI into our software.
We are working on installation of our software. We included CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msm into our setup package.
For English it's installs correctly. For any other language (like German) install package itself fails.
For user to see installation screens in German we created installation in German and then created transform for the language.
Install fails with the message "can't find p3smpen.dll in the package...."
This dll is related to the crystal reports. We wander if we need to include language merge modules for CR XI?

Setup And Deployment Problem

I recently upgraded to Crystal 2008 SP3. I am trying to deploy a .Net application. I have created the setup project and built it successfully. I downloaded the Merge modules for Crystal 2008, and I have them setup in the Setup project with the proper key code. I made sure that the dependencies for the project were refreshed so that I got the proper referenced items. I also set the prerequisites in the Setup project to include the C++ redistributable package.
When I try to install the application, I get the following error:
Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Business Objects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\CEReportSource.dll failed to register
I looked this error up and found several references in the forums. The references indicated that I needed to have the Visual Studio 2005 C++ Redistributable installed. I downloaded this from Microsoft and installed it on the target machine. None of this helps. I am still getting the error during the setup on the target machine.
Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like the dependencies for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 have been updated again. I found that there was a security vulnerability in ATL identified by Microsoft and they released an update for the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redist Package. You'll need to install the updated Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 library before you attempt to install your setup package which includes the merge modules. The new vc_redist_x86.exe is available using the link below.

For 2013, only by using 3'rd party tools.

CS5 installs as English (International) but I want English (United States)

I purchased CS5 in June from http://www.softwaremedia.com/. Opening my preset libraries defaults to files in en_GB instead of en_US, and when I create a new documents they are created as UK English, even though I've chosen US English in my Preferences. I am not certain, but did I inadvertantly choose English (International) upon my 1st install?
I did a complete uninstall of CS5 and a reinstall, this time making sure to choose Language: English were I could, but the problem persists. My menus all read in US English (Color is spelled the US way, etc), but upon reinstalling, as soon as I enter my Serial Number, the words "English: International" are shown, and there is no place to change it.
We purchased 4 other copies from the same vendor at the same time and those who have installed those copies are not having the same problem. What do I need to do to have my copy install as English US?
I am installing on a Mac running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Please see 2 screenshots below for reference. Thanks for any assistance.

Some preference file is holding on to your previous setting. You can try to search for your preferences and deleted them. You can try to do a complete uninstall (deactivate first to stay on the safe side). Then use the clean script : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html. Then make doubly sure:
Go into Library/Preferences/AdobeSystems ditch this
Go into Library/Preferences/ (ditch what you see there) and all the com.adobe. plists.
Go into Library/Application Support/ ditch anything you see related to Adobe (Adobe, Adobe Systems, Adobe PDF).
The repeat on your user Library folder ~/Library/Preferences, ~/Library/Application support.
You can now clear of anything and everything related to Adobe. Then you can re-install and re-activate. All in All a fun-filled afternoon. Something I recently did to get CS 5.5 installed correctly.

Exchange Server 2010 - High Availability and Disaster Recovery - English (United States)

We have 2 Exchange 2010 servers and trying to setup HA/failover using DAG setup with DNS Round Robin
Both servers have mailbox, CAS and Hub roles. We are planning to configure DAG and then setup Network Balancing through DNS Round Robin by creating multiple A records for MX record on the external DNS and internal DNS with minimum TTL. My question is what
will happen to the emails in transit if one of the servers goes down ?

Based on my knowledge, the message can still be delivered.
Let's look at the process for internal mail flow here:
1. Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission service
- Notifies a Hub Transport server role in the local Active Directory site when a message is available for retrieval from a sender’s Outbox
2. Store driver
- Retrieves messages from sender’s Outbox
4. Submission queue
- Stores all messages on disk until processed
5. Categorizer
- Processes one message at a time from the Submission queue
6. Store driver or Send connecotor
- Delivers the message to user mailbox if the mailbox is withing the site or in case if it is on remote server delivers the message through a Send connector.
In your case, the server suddenly goes down after you send message, the messages will be received at last.
When it comes to DNS round robin for CAS servers, we usually consider the Outlook connectivity. If one CAS connected fails, then Outlook will try to re-establish connectivity to the other IP address.
