Windows 8.1 password removal

Ok, I have tried autorun.exe, also tried :netplwiz" fixes that others have mentioned, but I still have to use a password, not for first start up, but when computer goes into hibernation....extremely frustrating.  Can anyone tell me what else
I can try, apart from removing windows 8.1.  Can I get rid of the email account log in? Not sure how to do that either, Thanks clever people :)

Try those 2 settings:
Go to the "Control Panel".
 Click on "Appearance and Personalization".
 Click on "Change Screen Saver".
Unclick "On resume, display logon screen".

and
Just head into Power Options in Control Panel, then click the “Require a password on wakeup” on the left-hand side.
Then click the “Change settings that are currently unavailable” link…

However, the problem looks difficult, not difficult actually. Two factors make efforts on it. One is the new characteristics of Windows 8 system, the other is software technology development. As a result, while you type a wrong password, the password hint will pops up below the password input box. Based on the password hint, you can think of your origin password.  As seen above, my password hint is email [email protected], and my Windows 8 login password is the same as the password of email. So when the password hint pops up, I will think of Windows login password instantly. 2. Get into computer with PIN code, and reset password for locked accountPIN code is a quick, convenient way to sign in to this PC by using a 4-digit code. Login windows 8 Via Microsoft MSN AccountIf your computer has set up to sign in to Windows 8 with Microsoft account, and you can login Windows with it, and create a PIN that any user who has a password must enter it when waking this PC, and then login with PIN code, reset password with Command Prompt. 4. Reset Windows 8 Password with Another available Admin AccountIf there is another admin account available, log on to Windows with this account first, and then reset other accounts passwords would be easy.
    >> Enter Computer Management screen
Click My Computer to select Manage to enter this screen
    >> Set password for account you want to reset

  • How to Reset Windows 7 Administrator Password on My Laptop

I have windows 7 Home Premium and i forgot the administrator password. whenever i start the windows 7, it asks for the password to log in. unfortunately, i forgot it. what to do?
I forgot the administrator's password. I'm not able to log in to windows. It says, "did you forgot the password?" whenever i try to log in. How do i reset forgotten Windows 7 admin password without losing data?

    In your
your situation, you can recover your password form Safe Mode.Windows 7 system has a built-in administrator account that is created during Windows installation and disable by default, which has no password in it. You need to enable that account before forgetting
your other admin account password. Otherwise your built-in administrator account won’t appear in the screen in this tip.
Step 1: Start your win 7 computer and press “F8″ while the computer boots up. Scroll down to “Safe Mode with Command Prompt” with the arrow keys on the keyboard and press “Enter.” Your computer starts in Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
Step 2: Select the Administrator account that appear in the screen, then enter command prompt. Type: net user ****** 123456 and enter (****** is the account name and 123456 is the new password), it will show you a message that” the command completed successfully.
Step 3: Restart your win 7 computer, then you can log in as ****** with the password 123456. You can go to control Panel to change your account password if necessary.
    If this
way doesn't work you can try a tool named Windows Password Recovery Tool Ultimate.

  • Itunes 12.1.1.4 not run cd rom on windows xp sp3. have removed all cd burning software

itunes 12.1.1.4 not run cd rom on windows xp sp3. have removed all cd burning software.

    Thanks Alex,
I performed all of the steps you suggested and iTunes v-12.1.1 installed correctly.
The problem is, that version of iTunes now does not recognize my  HL-DTST DV-DRAM GMA-4082N, CD/DVD DRIVE.
When I insert a CD to rip into my iTunes library nothing happens.
If I click on the properties for that D-drive nothing shows using the Explore function.
If I open Microsoft Media Player v-11.0.5721.5262 I can see all of the tracks on the disk, and the player rips the songs to the Microsoft Media Player library which I can then play.
I then reinstalled VLC media player v-2.1.5, and was able to play cd's and watch DVD's. When I performed that install I again received the iTunes banner:
Earlier versions of iTunes worked just fine:
iTunes v-11.4 (32-bit) 10 September, 2014, (6 months ago), size: [106.11 MB], for Windows XP SP3 worked on this same Toshiba laptop.
The latest version: iTunes v-12.1.1 seems to want to be the only piece of software allowed on the 32 Bit XP system.
To me, it looks like Apple does not want any other applications running on this system. Not very thoughtful for customers that cannot afford to purchase more expensive computers when they are on a fixed income. I have been a long time user of Apple equipment when employed by Motorola, development engineering.in my younger years.
Is there any way to get the earlier versions of iTunes back on this laptop?
    Thanks,
    Jay

Fellow user Grant Bennet-Alder offers this solution:
Some users have reported this problem if the Mail Application has been moved out of the top-level /Applications folder, or duplicated in another location.
When the Security Update is done, the old version of Mail is disabled.
    The solution has been to:
    1) make certain Mail is in the /Applications folder
    2) There is no other copy anywhere else.
    3) Once steps 1 and 2 have been done, Manually download and re-apply the Security Update (2012-004) by hand.
    Security Update 2012-004 (Snow Leopard)
If the Mail.app has been LOST, it can be re-installed by applying the 10.6.8 version 1.1 combo update. But this update is quite large and it is usually not necessary:

  • ITunes 11.0.4 for Windows keeps restarting and removing my set-up and preferences

iTunes 11.0.4 for Windows keeps restarting and removing my set-up and preferences every time its shut down and re-opened, how can I stop this?
All of the music (etc) is still there but I need to agree to the terms and condition of the 'Software License Agreement for iTunes for Windows' every time I open iTunes.
Once opened there is no personal set-up, such as side menus and how the lists are set-up (e.g showing album images, music listed in ‘most played’ order, etc etc) I know how to re-do all of my settings, Its just getting very annoying now.
Anyone know how to stop this or at least why It is doing it?

I found why it defaults back to the wizard. I noticed in  C:/users/(User)/AppData/Roaming/Apple  Computer/iTunes/iTunesPerfs.xml file is deleted from this directory upon  exiting iTunes. When I manully restore this file itunes starts with my  correct settings. Why the .xml file being deleted I don't know. iTunes is deleting the file when you exit so I guess there is just a bug.

Actually, I think that's how you are supposed to do it. The default is usually welcome, but I'm pretty sure there's a jazn-data.xml file that contains the password encrypted. You can manually edit it there, then restart it and it should work.

  • Windows Stored Network Passwords

    Hello
Not to sure if this is default behaviour or if there is something I can do to rectify the behaviour. I am running Zenworks 7 sp1 ir3. I am setting up DLU on Windows XP workstations with sp3 installed. I have noticed that the windows stored network passwords are not retained between logins, does anyone have any suggestions for what I could check. I am managing an existing account if it exists and I am not clearing the cache.
    Thanks for any advice

Also make sure this is not eabled. (But I still would like the setting for

If you are getting a voicemail password prompt, that usually means you have a voicemail.  In order to hear it you will need to enter the passcode, it only needs to be entered once.
To reset your passcode, call your service provider.
