Windows 8.1 - T440s touchpad won't click for 1 sec after typing keyboard.

But the problem is still there even after I did what the article says.
I disabled touchpad delay and installed hotfix from MS with no luck.
So I guess MS hasn't fixed it perfectly or there is a bug in Synapics' driver.
As a programmer, I alternate between typing keyboard and clicking buttons very quickly.
So this is a huge problem to me.
Is there anybody who knows how to fix/avoid this?

Look in the Synaptics Ultranav settings. There's a checkbox for Prioritize for Trackpoint and Keyboard input. Uncheck this.
Also disable PalmCheck if you haven't already.

Touchpad won't click?

I've searched around for other topics about this problem but none of the answers seem to work for me D:
I even tried plugging in a mouse from my old laptop, that i checked and works just fine, but once i had plugged into my mac, it wouldnt click.
I will be going to an apple store to get it checked if I really have to, but I'm hoping i can somehow fix it myself. Help?
Also, my mac is fairly new, just 3 months old!

After upgrading to Yosemite, it now takes roughly 3 minutes for my computer to boot up, my sign in is now on my lap top screen and not my aux. screen as it has been and my touchpad won't work until sometime after booting up.

Browser plug-in won't allow for saves after a few seconds

I am using the Adobe pdf reader plugin with Chrome browser. I have noticed that when I view a pdf within Chrome, the pdf will load, but the only chance I have to save a pdf from that tab that opens up is when there is a small toolbar that appears at the bottom, allowing me to save (or print, IIRC). But this toolbar dissappears after a few seconds, and the right-click menu doesn't allow me to save. Is there a way to get this small toolbar to appear for a longer period of time? Sometimes I like to see the pdf for a bit, before deciding to print or not.

Certain settings, e.g. printer sharing, can prevent sleep. There are other possibilities as well. See this kbase article:

Phone number won't verify for iMessage after 5.1 Upgrade

Anyone have any solution yet? I have tried hard resets and still nothing. Under the iMessage slider it say Waiting for Activation and clicking through the "receive at" button it says "Verifying" next to my phone number. People are able to receive iMessages from my email though? Strange. Any help is appreciated!!

Mouse does not respond to clicks for 10mins after startup

When I start my iMac I have to wait at least 10mins before it will respond to any mouse-clicks, the mouse will move but not register any clicks. The same is true for the keyboard; it does not register any input for at least 10mins.
This has only started happening since I upgraded to Lion.
It is a third-party mouse (Labtec) and a Mac keyboard, mouse plugged into keyboard, keyboard plugged into Mac, I've tried a diferent USB port to no avail, I also have a pen tablet connected, again this registers movement but not clicks, this is connected to a different USB port to the keyboard/mouse.
After approx 10mins. all previous mouse-clicks or keyboard entries register. I've tried disabling USBOverdrive but this makes no difference (and I have it running on my Macbook without issue)
Interestingly though, if I restart the iMac I don't have the same trouble, it's only when I start it from not having been used for a short while or if it crashes and I have to force it off with the power button (this happened while typing this message for the first time since installing Lion, blue and white stripy screen).
24" iMac, Mac OS X v10.7, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3GB memory.

PDF files won't open for recipient after sending via iCloud

Most of the time when I send a PDF to someone they either have loading issues when trying to open my email or they simply cannot view my PDF. Usually the message in the body isn't even present. When I send the same email to myself on iCloud I can view it in iCloud.com or my iPhone. This seems to happen when the receiver is using Thunderbird, Outlook, and others. This is a serious inconvenience for a paid service. I have to send all emails that include PDFs through my work email address which I would rather not do. I tried turning on Unicode but that didn't help. Don't know what else to try.

iCloud is so buggy when it comes to this. This is just my opinion and I know it will not help your current problem. It would be in your interest to use gmail as your primary email account. I see iCloud email service as a makeshift tack-on addition by Apple to their syncing services. It wasn't made to be an email client and doesn't function properly as such. Use Gmail. People may disagree, but this is just my input. I hope another community member may have a definitive answer to your problem.

T61 touchpad won't drag to mark or drag Windows

Since a recent update to the Ultranav driver (15.1.19) I've got a problem with the touchpad:
can't use the touchpad to mark text (shift/drag on touchpad), though I can do this with the trackpoint. Never used the trackpoint much before but am glad I can now still do this basic function with it! This happens in all programs: editing programs, IE8, etc.
Can't use the touchpad to move windows around the desktop either. You know -- click on the top bar and shift/drag it around with the touchpad. Can do this with the trackpoint.
I also get minor pauses intermittently using the touchpad to move the cursor.

PS: sorry to hear of so many problems with T61 series batteries, graphics, etc. Mine's been working fine for over 3 years (can't say the same of my old T42 -- it bit the dust after 4 years).

A good site with links to various hotfixes is here - you will have to register to download the hotfixes But it's better than having to e-mail Microsoft begging that they send you the link to the hotfix you need..
BTW, the hotfixes designated "KB" and the "Q" are interchangeable so if you can't find the one that starts with Q, then substitute it with KB.... "Q" was the old Microsoft designation for a hotfix, while "KB" (Knowledge Base) represents the new designation.
To fix the problem, I would also suggest the following for you (after you install the above hotfixes):
1) Re-install the Lenovo Power Management Driver for the T61. (Note that there is the Power Management Driver and Power Management Software - referred to as "Power Manager". You don't really need the "Power Manager" but you do need the Power Management Driver!! The driver is what tells your computer to do when you close the lid, i.e. go into standby, etc.. Notice in the Lenovo site there is a hotfix associated with the Driver to work properly (Q918837)).
2) re-install the hotkey driver from Lenovo (makes the Fn buttons functionable)
3) Also, check your settings in "Power Options" in the Control Panel, making sure the actions are associated with the proper event. You may choose to enable hibernation there as well.

However, the driver "Microsoft teredo Tunneling adapter" has a yellow exclamation mark, which i believe means it's not installed correctly or something is wrong with it. This driver is under the Network Adapters (Please see picture below).
This is what happens when I connect my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7 Starter 32-bit)
1. The phone charges it's battery
2. I can open it in My Computer and import/export media files.
In iTunes
3. It start to sync until step 3 then stops.
4. The iPhone option with an arrow appears beside the iTunes Store, but when the arrow is clicked it disappears.
I hope you can provide me a solution for this problem.

For your iTunes issue with it not recognizing your iPhone, I would go ahead and suggest deleting iTunes and all of its components from your Windows computer and installing fresh.

As far as the arrow button that you click and the iPhone disappears, it sounds like you may be clicking on the eject button. Please take a look at the following article for information on the eject button in iTunes.

For starters, have him open Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, select the volume (the indented listing) and Verify Disk. If it reports any problems, have him try a Safe Boot by holding the Shift key at startup. This boot will take much longer than usual. It's checking and trying to repair the drive directory, if possible. Once in Safe Boot, have him repair Permissions.

Also, have him try a PRAM Reset. At the startup chime, hold down CMD-Option-P-R together, listen for two more chimes, total three, then let go to finish booting.
Also, is he running any AV? If so, have him uninstall it. It might be responsible for this behavior. (There are no viruses for OS X.)

Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

I have windows 8.1 and firefox won't play youtube videos but IE will. I have tried reinstalling firefox, flash, java. Resetting firefox don't help, disabled hardware acceleration, protected mode 0 in the mms.cfg file. Nothing will play on youtube in firefox. It says "an error has occured, please try again later". The ads play fine though. Everything plays fine in IE. I have tried different versions of flash also with no luck. I even restored the system to a previous iso image with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

It maybe because your javascript is disabled .
You can check the javascript.enabled pref on the about:config page.

After using Firefox for years, suddenly it won't click on. How can I get it to work ?

Suddenly Firefox won't click open. I tried to uninstall it(Windows 7, 64-bit and try to download the newest version from the Mozilla website, but each time it starts to uninstall and/or install the message appears: you must close all versions of Firefox. All versions ARE closed, but it makes no difference; the operation just stops.
I have no trouble with my Google Chrome and IE browsers, just with Firefox.
