How do you publish AIR captive runtime for Windows from OSX in Flash Pro CS6?
Is this possible? If I move the app from a Mac to Windows it isn't looking like an app anymore. It's looking like a set of folders instead. Do I need to change publish options? changeing the extension to .exe didn't fix it. Help appreciated!
Thanks,
DaveHi Dave ,
The published AIR captive runtime in Flash from Windows and Mac will have the following structure -
Windows -
MyApp/
META-INF/
Adobe AIR/ // The captive runtime minus irrelevant files
mimetype
MyApp.swf // Assets
MyApp.exe // An entrypoint that loads the captive runtime
Mac -
MyApp.app/
Contents/
Frameworks/
Adobe AIR.framework/ // The captive runtime
Info.plist
MacOS/
MyApp // An entrypoint that loads the captive runtime
PkgInfo
Resources/
META-INF/
mimetype
MyApp.swf // Assets
The entry point that loads the Captive runtime is different in the above cases.
Hence we need to explicitly publish from the required platform.
You can even check this link : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WSfffb011ac560372f709e16db131e43659b9-8000.html
To create a captive runtime bundle for Windows, you must package the application while running under the Windows operating system.

It's possible to make ios apps in Windows with the new Flash Pro Cs5.5?
It's very difficult to find a concrete answer for that question some people says yes and other no; i need to know before i pay the developer license fee.
I will aprecciate alot the help.
ThanksIt's probably talking about your Apple Developer Certificate. Apple issues you a .cer file that you need to generate a legit .p12 certificate to sign your application with. In your provisioning portal you also have to set up the application with a unique ID and then export a distribution provision pointing toward that app ID. The iOS portal has a very straight forward guide on doing all of what I just said. Then when exporting your app you select to export it for the store rather than quick debugging or adhoc. Then it will have the correct code.
After you submit your app and it's approved iTunes does all the work of installing your app on peoples devices if they choose to install it. -
Finding Flash Pro CC on Windows 7
I purchased the Creative Cloud on Windows 7 and installed Flash Pro CC, so I thought. I can't find the executable file, any shortcuts to it, or any way to launch the program. The CC launcher says that "Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging" has been installed, but the install directory "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC" only shows one folder "AIR3.6" and one file "VersionInfo.xml".
How do I launch this program?fix your cc app and reinstall, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

How to add the google swiffy extension to Flash Pro CS6 or CC
I have downloaded the google swiffy extention however after adding it to flash pro inthe extension manager it has a check box saying (enabled) but it doesnt show under window>extensions in the Flash pro app. Are there any guides on how to do this or somehting im missing? I've heard Flash CC could support html extensions so I installed Flash CS6 but that doesn't let me add the extension either. Any support with this is would be very nice.
Thanks I see the export feature however I just have one last issue with it, when I try to export a simple swf that contains a simgle tween I get this error http://puu.sh/6DRYl.png. What can I do about that?
Edit- this only happens with Flash Pro CC not the CS6 version. -
Hi
My Flash pro cc is acting weird, pushing the hard- drive to its limits tried to install and reinstall and do a clean setup , scanned for malwares but nothing came out of this , one more thing bizarre each time i go check my preferences tab every thing would go back to normal for a while ... .
Windows 8 64 bit
MObo : Asus gryphon
Graphics : Asus Gtx 750 ti.
HDD: WD3200AVJS-63B6A0 320 gigs.Hi Memalyn
Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

After installing Radeon Graphics drivers on Windows 8 Flash player and Adobe Flash Pro didn't re-ins
Hi,
On a Windows 8 Pro desktop I recently installed Flash Pro and it seemed to work great. Also Flash Player was working great as well. But I noticed on Adobe Photoshop CS6 that the 3d controls were not working. So I installed the the Radeon Graphics AMD Catylyst Control series for an onder 4800 series graphics card. Has anyone else had problems with 4800 series AMD ATI video cards? Any suggestions after reviewing the tables below?
I then noticed that the 3d controls in Adobe Photoshop worked great. But...
Later, however, I noticed that Flash Play would green screen on some videos in IE10. So I tried to follow the Flash Player repair procedure such as remove checkbox on Active X Filter, Adding Compatibility mode without success in IE so I installed Mozilla Fire Fox and re-installed flash player etc... which worke don Mozilla but not IE10. So I'm thinking this new software from AMD caused several problems to occur and not sure how to fix them. I still want 3d controls on my video card and now I'm thinking about starting a fresh install before installing Adobe software with a new NVidia card or a trusted AMD ATI card because this legacy 4800 doesn't seem to be cutting.
Here is my system settings and after this table are the errors I got upon reinstalling Flash pro. Note: These were not critical errors so I was still able to run Flash Pro. I was never able to run Flash Player on IE10 after upgrading my video card software (Catalyst Control Center). However Flash Player does seem to work great on Mozilla Firefox after re-installing Adobe Flash. When I try to install Flash Player in IE10 I get a title screen of "Update Flash" with no content whatsover.

i Installed windows 7 on my macbook pro 13 inch Late 2011 with bootcamp, i have no wireless icon or bootcamp icon, i checked my flash drive and it is blank!! what do i do?
Download and intall the Windows Support software. You can start Bootcamp Assistant again and only select the option to download the support software. Then follow the instructions to save and install the support software.
Or, manually download the support software here http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/downloads/. -
OTF/PS fonts have recently stopped rendering in Flash Pro CS3 on Windows 7/64
Recently, a number of my OTF/PS fonts have stopped rendering when used in Flash Pro CS3. The fonts appear in the fonts menu, render properly in the font preview popup in the font menu, but the fonts fail to render on stage when used, with certain exceptions:
--If Bitmap Text is selected, the fonts appear (but aliased)
--If Anti-alias for animation is selected, then the text appears when text insertion is active in the text box, but vanishes when focus shifts to another element, tool, selection
In all other cases and for all other settings (yes, including black text with 100% alpha on a white background, etc etc), the text shows solely as transparent. You can select the text (although not see what you're selecting), cut and paste, and as you change the font size, kerning, justification, bold, italic, etc, the text boxes resize as normally expected; simply, the text does not show up.
The fonts work normally in all other CS3 and Windows applications, and up until about last week (Dec 12 or so), used to work fine in Flash.
The problem fonts appear to be (primarily Open Type Format) Post Script Outline fonts.
I have installed all Windows updates, Flash Pro CS3 updates, deleted the Flash user config files, deleted and reinstalled the fonts, and copied the fonts to the C:/user/Program Files/Common/Adobe/Fonts folder.
There were no new installations (applications, fonts, etc) around the time when the error started showing up, aside from possibly Windows updates.
Given the timing (worked fine Tuesday, failed on Wednesday), I believe a Windows update may have been at least partially responsible, though perhaps it's the Mayan apocalypse.

Save flash pro CS5 file created in windows to a mac os file
I created a flash banner with flash pro CS5 using windows 7. Can I save the file so my client can open it with a Mac OS?
Yes, the .fla file can be opened on either platform. Don't forget to include any external files that you may have used, and fonts that you have embedded into the fla.

Adobe Flash Pro CC incompatible with windows 8.1
Hi,
I've installed adobe Flash Pro CC on windows 8.1 and it doesn't work ! The program crashes...Does Adobe will correct this with a fix ?If Photoshop opens that pretty much rules out the GPU drivers being an issue (unless for some reason you disabled it which I doubt).
I think you're right about 8.1. The tech requirements page hasn't been updated to say 8.1 yet at least:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/tech-specs.html
However the upgrade to 8.1 is mostly centered around user experience (having now read them). I honestly see nothing in the list of changes that has to do with graphics or audio which is usually the culprit.
That leaves storage. One thing I do note is desktop booting (no user/password). I wonder if this has changed something permissions-based. More specifically if there's more (mostly unncecessary) security under the hood on a file basis now that computers can boot to desktop. I don't have 8.1 so I can't say. To find out, just right-click on Flash and start it as Administrator and it would answer that question (no permission issues). -

Is there a way to download older versions?
Thanks for your helpSure. Refer to this:
