I have installed nvidia drivers from nvidias website for my geforce gt 650m on my early 2013 macbook pro retina 15", now i can't use windows in bootcamp, whenever i go into windows it turns into a black screen before i can see my desktop. How do i resolve this?

From the home screen, double click the home button to bring up the Recently used App list. Find the App with the problem and hold your finger on it untl the Apps start to shake. When that happens tap on the (x) on the right side corner of the app to close it.
Tap the home button again to get back to the home screen, and try to open the App again.
If that doesn't work, try resetting the iPad. (there should be no data loss):
Press and Hold the Power and home buttons until the Apple Logo shows up. Ignore any sliders that may appear.
When the iPad turns back on, try opening the App again.

    Hi
Look not good dude I think its an serious hardware issue
I checked the movie and cannot hear a beep when the notebook passes the POST (power on self-test). So for me it looks like something wrong with the hardware
But did you try to connect an external monitor in order to check if something would be visible on second screen? Check this
    You could also try this:
Disconnect AC adaptor, remove the battery, wait some time (3-5 hours), then connect both parts and try to power up the notebook. If this fails, well in such case have no many other ideas. Ohhh wait maybe you could check the RAM modules. Try to power up the notebook using one module in each slot

  • Black screen on startup early 2008 macbook pro

I am very disappointed with Apple right now. My early-2008 15 inch macbook pro shows a blank/black screen on startup. The hd runs fine and I can dim and undim the backlight on the screen but it stays black/blank.
I talked to an Apple rep and she told me that it was probably my graphics card (which I asked her specifically about when I researched and found many other people like myself with the same issue and then the lawsuit that came as a result). Of course, Apple no longer replaces the graphics card (like a true business person would) as of December 2012 even though they know the cards in the macbooks pros are defective. The Apple rep told me that I would have to take it in to a Apple tech to get it "officially" diagnosed as the graphics card being bad (which would cost me @$150 just for it to be looked at!) and then I would probably still have to pay for the repair!
Of course this happened in the middle of the week while I was in the middle of working on a sermon and other presentation projects. So I had to do my best to try to work from scratch without access to the info on my hd because the graphics card is defective.
Apple, you know the card is defective so please just replace the card! I'm not asking for any perks or upgrades! Just to be able to use my Macbook Pro that, up until now, I have been bragging about and telling everyone how happy I was to switch over from windows!

No, it has not cost anything in the past.

  • Dv6 Notebook "Black Screen" following "Windows Blue Screen" error message. Caps Lock blinking!

I have a HP DV6 notebook. I left my computer on overnight and the next morning I woke up to find a Windows Blue Screen error message. It said to restart my computer. I was in a rush so I just closed the lid. When I returned I opened the lid and the screen was black. I pressed the power button to restart it and I haven't been able to restart it since. I now have a power light, a black screen and the CAPS LOCK light is blinking twice then a pause! Please help!

    Hi btgclark,
I understand that you are having an issue with turning on your notebook and the CAPS LOCK light blinks twice and then pauses. The following document 'Computer Does Not Start and the LEDs Blink or the Computer Beeps' will walk you through the steps that you need to follow. For your error code, it means that the BIOS has a corruption failure. This document will walk you through the necessary steps to get this resolved.
If for some reason this document does not resolve the issue please provide me with the model number to your notebook. I have included a document 'How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?'
Please let me know how this works out for you, thank you.

  • Windows 10 build 10041 32bit crashed hp envy x2 tablet/notebook black screen

    Hello all,
Upgraded from Win 8 to 8.1 the 10 preview build 10041 (32bit), online upgrade (as machine will not boot from usb), worked well for one day. Then I changed update option from 'only notify me of available updates' to 'automatically install updates for windows' or somesuch.
For two days, can only get black screen using all combinations of shift/ctrl/fn/windows key with f2/f8/f9/f10/f11 keys.
Holding the power button down for brief or long period. With mains power lead inserted or not. With tablet connected to base or not. Ran down the battery, no change.
I suspect the problem is due to the Win 10 O/S is perceived as an alien O/S by the system. Prior to updating to Win 10, I was unable to boot from usb or access legacy boot.
    My machine:
    HP envy x2 pc
    product number c8c42pa#abg
    serial number 4cn2480dgk
Bios was updated from f12 to f13.
    Thanks in advance, AA

  • HP15-g019wm notebook black screen after log in

My HP 15-g019wm product number F9H60UA#ABA notebook running on windows 8 recently updated and after the update it has taken longer to log in, and after logging in it goes to a black screen for a few moments with a white mouse cursor that I can move before it opens to the desktop. It takes over three minutes from log in to opening up to the desktop. Startup and boot are fine the problem only occurs after entering my password and logging in. Once it opens to the desktop everything else works fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Most recent windows upgrade was KB2993651 on 8-29-14. Don't know if that helps or not. Would uninstalling that update do anything to improve or worsen my computer's current state?
    Thanks

I just uninstalled the update prior to the problem occurring (KB 2993651), and upon restart I was able to go from the login screen to the desktop without the black screen. Thanks for the help.

    HI!
My laptop is a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n232sa. A few weeks ago when I tried to turn it on, it came up with a black screen and the HP logo with either a "Please Wait" or "Preparing Automatic Recovery"  sign at the bottom of the screen. I've been on the troubleshoot pages and have tried all the steps applied for this problem and have spoken to someone on HPChat and they have said that there may be a problem with the motherboard. What do I need to do?

    Dear Customer,

  • Windows 7 Install boots to black screen

After multiple tries, I was able to install Windows 7 on a bootcamp partition; but only if I disconnected all external drives (including dvd).  Now the problem of black screen/blinking cursor persists, when I try to boot up Windows on start-up (holding down option key, selecting the Windows drive).  The only way to get Windows to boot properly is to unplug all external drive devices.  If I do this, Windows will start up, at which point I can reconnect drives and the system operates normally.  Solution, anyone?

    1. Do you have any third-party NTFS software?
    2. What format are these external drives?
    3. Are Bootcamp drivers installed, after Windows was installed successfully?
    4. Do you have any unknown devices in Device Manager (yellow triangle with exclamation marks)?

  • IMac 27 Late 2009 with Random black screen at startup of Windows 7!

Hi, I'll try to explain the my random black screen issue as best I can.
I have a boot camp partition with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate installed.
I used the USB method to install, all goes well and Windows 7 gets installed, I update drivers, install boot camp etc. all is good, right!
My problem is that everything seems to be in working order, but the built in LED screen will only get lit/active in 1 out of 5 times at startup of Windows, eg. the built in screen stays black/off (black screen issue), like the install issue on iMac 27 I7 w/ATI 4850.
NOTE! When booting OS X the built in LED screen gets lit/active on every startup.
So what I did was connect a second LCD monitor via Display port to DVI, this monitor/screen has no issues, it gets lit/active on every startup of Windows, even if the built in screen/monitor stays black/off (black screen issue).
NOTE! I have tested both the latest drivers from Apple (10.4 19/MAR/2010, found on the USB install method) and AMD ATI Catalyst Driver (10.8 25/AUG/2010). The issue remains on both Apple released drivers and AMD ATI released drives.
    1. So to me it seems like there are some detection/communication issues between the built in monitor and the video card on Windows 7, as there is no issue detecting and activating a monitor connected to the display port.
Are we missing a monitor driver in Windows that OS X has, or is this a hardware issue that Apple knows about and compensates for in OS X with on load firmware, driver or a kernel fix?
    2. Does anyone else have this issue on their 27" iMac Late 2009 I7, ATI HD 4850 machine?
If yes, did you manage to solve it?
Thanks for any help on this issue.
    Cheers,
    Kevin

Hi, I've seem to have found out the source of the problem.
The issue is related to heat, and an iMac 27" gets hot pretty fast.
If I boot the iMac straight after first start into Windows 7 I seem to get a lit built-in display at all times. I can also boot OS X first and then into Windows 7 and the built-in screen get lit every time as long as the iMac isn't hot.
Strange thing is that the monitor connected to the display port gets lit every time. So I can only assume that the heat only interfere with output to the built-in LED screen.
So this iMac is going to an Apple premium reseller for service, and I'll tell you guys how it went.

  • IPhone 4s on screened Window Sill on rainy night - BLACK SCREEN, FLASH ON, VIBRATING, how do I revive?

Lastnight I left my Iphone 4s CHARGING on a screened window sill.
I wokeup at 8:30 and checked my phone to see that it was completely fine; went back to sleep until 10:30 and woke up to a black screen, flash on, and the phone frequently and randomly vibrating. The phone was not overly drenched. Only a couple raindrops on it, and around it.
I immediately stuck it in a bag of rice.
I need solutions! Any help is appreciated!
How long should I keep it in the bag of rice?
Is there a way to turn off my phone with a black screen?
    Thank you for your help!

Just wind it by dryer and then don't try to switch it off because any electrical interchange cause damage. and then put it in a rise bucket. and in few hours it shuld be fine.. or take it to apple store if you are still in Warranty...

    HI @Luke_Lasting ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 2700 Notebook and black screen. Here is a document on computer will not start.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • Windows 8.1 start up black screen no bios screen

This is my computer:Intel 13, gigabyte mother board, 8 gb ram 64 bit operating system, windows 8.1
I built this computer from scratch and I've had it for less than a year. However recently I have noticed that when i start up my computer, there is a black screen, there is no bios setup page and there is no manufacturing screen. Furthermore I have noticed
that when I start up my pc the lights on my keyboard and mouse are turning on and off. I have tried turning off the quick boot function and ive tried using a different screen and the same result happens. Please help me resolve this situation :(
    Cheers, Charlie

    so can login to windows?
no message appear during booting up?
if this is No Post issue, more to HW
there is many suggestion from internet about no post issue
    my tips:
    1. Check all the light indicator status, mainboard light, process light (HDD), try to open ODD tray (to check power)
    2. to isolate RAM or RAM slot issue, try to different RAM configuration and try different slot
    3. Check if there is beeping sound, most of beeping sound issue caused by RAM or graphic card
    4. Check your HDD at different PC to isolate HDD issue
    5. Check your keyboard and mouse at different PC
    6. I suggest do power drain, remove keyboard, mouse, video cable, power cable, LAN ect, press power button without any power. Put back keyboard and mouse(after make sure working fine with other machine), video cable and power cable only, don't put any other
3rd party device (LAN, printer, usb pen drive ect)
If still no POST issue, I suggest bring to service center for further TS
