Windows 8 Activation after Reinstall - Product Key doesn't work

Hello Folks!
The hard drive on my Thinkpad Edge E135 just gave out. I replaced it and reinstalled Windows 8 with the recovery dvds
Windows 8 keeps bugging you that you need to activate it and many features are available with an activated windos, so I really want to activate it. A program to read out the product key gave me a working key at first, but right after that it said that the key is invalid.
"Error 0xC004C003
It was detected by the activation server that the product key has been blocked."
I'm really lost here and it would be very appreciated if somebody told me what I can do. Right? Lenovo. For those who do.

Windows 8.1 automatically activating after installing product key from VAMT 3.1?

I use MAK keys (with the Count of 500 activations). I use the latest VAMT (3.1), and as soon as I "Install Product Key..." the target operating system will activate automatically without giving me the possibility to Proxy Activate and hence saving
the CID. Anybody knows if this has to do with Windows 8.1 or the VAMT 3.1 itself? In my eyes this makes VAMT useless, since I can't save the CID!!!!!!!
I just want to save the CID in the VAMT database already upon the first activation. I found some threads here on TechNet, but non of them seem to deal with the problem how to solve it within VAMT (or if there is some GPO to hinder the target OS go out to
the internet and activate automatically).

You open the following key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Activation
Where you set "Manual" to "1". I remember this from Windows 7 installations, that if manual was set to "0", that if would activate automatically after 3 Days. However, The grace period in Windows 8/8.1 is somehow different, it will start complaining directly
if OS is not activated. Since the computers are domain-joined, I can roll out this regkey-entry using GPO Preferences without too much of a hassle.

Windows 8.1 Product Key doesn't work

Back in November, I bought a Lenovo Y50 Laptop that came with Windows 8.1 already preinstalled. After a month or so, a message kept popping up telling me to activate windows. It then would take me to PC Settings to activate it. I could see that there was already a Product Key being used but it said i hadnt activated it yet. I found my product Key but eveytime I try to enter it, an error comes up saying "The key didn't work. please check it and try again, or try a different key"
Also if I try to activate Windows Online it does not let me do so. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

There are two things I can think of. First is that you are entering in the wrong key. As I cannot see what you are looking at I cannot tell for sure. But there are several characters that look similar like the 0 and O or the I and l. Take a look at what you see and make sure you are typing in the correct characters. There is another way to make sure. Get a copy of Belarc and run it. In the log is your Windows 8.1 key. Copy it from Belarc and paste it into Microsoft Word or some other word processor and then change the font. Some fonts will allow you to be able to tell the difference.

Windows 10 Technical Preview 9926 product key doesn't work

I upgraded build 9926 for about one month and now it keeps asking me to activate. It was activated already when I installed it.
I‘ve tried the two product keys from another threads which are NKJFK-GPHP7-G8C3J-P6JXR-HQRJR and PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK.
Also tried to run command as administrator and type SLUI 3 anyway it's the same thing so...
The pro & Enterprise ones both not work for me. And it says I have to activate it before March 15th.

If you download the installation media from that link above, the activation key should be this one:

Normally, Windows 10 Technical Preview is activated automatically during installation. If you get a prompt for activation, I suggest you follow this steps:
1. Open Administrative command prompt (Windows key+x > A)
2. Type: SLUI 3
This would bring the following prompt for you:
Type the key above to check the result. Make sure you are connecting to Internet.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI via email download via the Dell Store yesterday. The product key doesn't work/fit into any of the "Registration" templates I've look through on the Adobe website. Manufacturer Part # 65195473.

You must have received redemption code via email from the reseller.
Please ensure that you are entering the right code as that would be needed to obtain the serial number for activating the product.

PSE 6 4 pc product key doesn't work red x

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Back in Oct 07 my company bought Elements 6 online. They want me to use the same product key now to begin using it, so I found a link and downloaded on my PC. Problem is the product key/serial # doesn't work and a red x appears.
Adobe support said they can't help since they don't offer support beyong CS3 products (Elements 6 is CS2)
Anyway, is there any way to make this completely valid key work on this newly downloaded and installed Elements 6?

Well, first of all, that's not true (but a typical response from them). PSE 6 is based on CS3, but you won't get any help from adobe anyway.

Windows 8.1 Setup exe This product key didn't work. Check it and try again

I am upgrading my machine with a new MOBO and SSD. I need a full windows 8.1 install disk so I am trying to create one from the WindowsSetupBox.exe file.
I am doing this on the machine that I will be upgrading and it currently has 8.1 Pro. When I enter my product key (yes confirmed correct) I get 'This product key didn't work. Check it and try again.'
My MOBO is coming today and I really want to get this thing done tonight but I can't even begin without an 8.1 Pro install disk. any help is much appreciated.
NOTE: I tried the regedit fix that I found for the same error on activating windows. (no luck)

I attempted this, and it installed fine but would not accept my key when trying to change.
I had to call tech support and waste a lot of time only to get disconnected. However, upon calling back the very first person I talked to was very helpful. He had me run slui 4 which prompted for my location and then gave the activation id that
I had to read to him. Next, I was prompted for a confirmation number supplied by him.
After this it showed windows was active, but a few hours later it said once again that I needed to activate. At this time my original product key did in fact work fine for activation. Thanks for the help guys. Ultimately, there doesn't
seem to be an answer for my problem other than letting tech support fix it and hope you get someone that knows what to do when you call.

Product key will not work with this edition of Windows 7

I received a product key for Windows 7 Professional N whilst I was at University via Dreamspark. I'm building a new computer and when it's come to inputting the product key, it comes up saying Product key will not work with this edition of Windows 7.
The version I installed was Windows 7 Professional using an iso and a USB. I rang the phone activation number and when I got through to a representative, I gave him the product key and he said it is valid and should be working. He transferred me to technical
services but instead I got cut off.
At this point I'm really not sure what the issue is, the key was for Windows 7 Professional N, I installed Windows 7 Professional and customer support confirmed it as a valid key. Am I missing something?

Windows 8 Key doesn't work in bootcamp

I currently have windows boot camped on my early 2013 Macbook pro retina however i am not allowed to download anything. When i go into pc settings to input my product key to activate windows it denies my product key. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or should i give Microsoft or Apple a call?

If you use a Retail Windows version, the Product Key is entered when the Windows Installer starts. If you are entering a Retail Product Key but used the Volume Licensing media, you can run into any issues. I have a Retail version, and I get prompted for a Key on the first screen of the installer.

Functional keys doesn't work in Windows 7.

I have installed BootCamp 3.0 and installed all drivers; however, functional keys doesn't work such as keyboard backlight, volum control.

May be, the problem is that Setup doesn't delete old drivers or other stuff which conflicts with latest drivers? Before released drivers I tried to install beta and them didn't work. Yes, I uninstalled them and removed all drivers and software which I could with Device Manager. But it seems like it is installing well on "clean" system.

Upgrading from W 8.1 to 10, Key doesn't work

This laptop was purchased with Windows 8.1 pre-installed. The Windows 10 software is on my C drive and I tried installing it. The window asks for the Key. I've run the CMD wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey. It gives me a Key but the installation program says the key doesn't work. Some sites say all updates must be installed. Done!Some sites say ignore the key and proceed. I can't as the software is very snooty - the OK cell is grayed out. Any suggestions? As an aside, I can't believe all the fluff on the Internet about installing W10. BTW, I installed W10 on an old ASUS Eee PC without any problem.
