Windows 8 activation problems (error: 0x80070426 )

Hi,
I've installed Windows 8 for some time now and I get pop ups that I don't have a valid account number in place even though I have a legit serial.
I want to enter this serial but I can't for some reason because the slui program isn't working.
error: 0x80070426 is what I get. I've tried accessing Software activation but that isn't in the list.
Please help me.

Please repost your problems in the proper Windows 8 forum here -
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install - where experts can assist.
I suspect the problem lies with the SPPSVC service - check that the service is set to 'Automatic (Delayed start)'

If masterdata not existis then it can be a problme in my first ODS but i didn't face any problem in First ODS.First ODS loaded the data from R/3 and second ODS using the datamarts.
Any ideas how to solve this problem.
    Thanks,

Use Tcode RSRV  Tests in Transaction RSRV  All Elementary Tests  ODS Objects  Foreign Key relationship of reporting-relevant ODS object and SID table characteristics (Dbl Click)
From the right side window, expand u201CForeign Key relationship of reporting-relevant ODS object and SID table characteristics & Enter second ODS name, and click u201CTransferu201D

  • Windows XP Activation Problem

    Hi Folks;
I recently bought a iMac and setup windows xp in the bootcamp. It was set up from a new disc and has 500Gb of space to play in. The partition was formated and is set as NFTS. I activated Windows XP via the phone and put in the correct confirmation id and all was well the computer indicated it was activated and i roamed the net for a while.
I shut down the computer and about 2 hours later logged back in however now i get a message saying the windows needs to be activated as the system tries to open Windows XP. I selected the yes option and Windows XP opens a window that informs me it has been activated. This window has only one option and that is exit which brings me to the Windows XP user log in screen. But clicking on the user just restarts the system.
I have tried getting assistance from MS but they say they do not support windows XP if it is on any non-pc pc.
Has anyone seen this problem before and if so do they have a fix?
    thanks heaps for any help
    Leonard (Belinda's failing tech support)

never tell Microsoft you are running on a Mac, whether Boot Camp or virtual. If they have to ask just tell them it's something you bought at a local shop with no name.
uninstall everything and start over. If the XP installer says it's already activated it should present an option to request a new code via the automated phone system. worked for me.

  • Windows 7 Startup Problem - Error code 0x490

Hey, I recently successfully installed Windows 7 on my laptop that also has Windows Vista. I was playing around with it for a few hours last night, shut off the computer and went to bed. I woke up, started it successfully and played around with it some more. Then, I shut it off again, and, a few hours later, turned it back on and, when I click on Windows 7, I am now receiving an error message telling me I did not install properly and to run a Repair with the install disc.
I did this and it said it found a problem and to "restart immediately" by clicking finished (it does not restart immediately, I have to click finish and then click restart). It also states that if the problem wasn't solved it would run the repair automatically. I restart it, it boots up and does the same thing. I ran the repair again and checked the detailed list of errors. It lists off a bunch of successful tests completed and then at the bottom it says:
    "Boot manager generic failure 0x000000e
    Root cause found:
Boot manager failed to find OS Loader
    Repair action: File Repair
Result: Failed. Error Code = 0x490
    Time taken : 7099 ms
Repair Action: Boot configuration data store repair
Result: Failed. Error code = 0x490
    Time Taken: 171ms
    Repair action: System Restore
    Result: Completed Successfully..."
And that's it. I was getting the same error message when I had failed to install it correctly, but I fixed it (I think by resetting my BIOS). So, does anyone know how to fix this?
    UPDATE:
When I select windows 7, it gives me instructions (which I followed, they are the steps I mentioned above) and at the bottom it says:
"Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible"
I assume this means that it cannot access my partition for some reason...? If so, why not? Thanks!

I've tried all these repair fixes and they went through and where done but it didn't repair the problem. I bought a 3TB USB 3.0 hard drive and backed up my system. Then the backup program formated the hard drive which I didn't want it to do that. It tried
doing a restore and came up with an error at about 55%. Some how I got it to install Windows 7 and did updates. I don't remember if I restarted it just yet. When I did do a restart it started the problem again. So I don't know if I ever got it working the
one time. I did install several programs and went to install one driver and think that may have caussed the problem because it was for NT and not Windows 7 64 bit. When I did get the right driver and installed it I noticed it changed how it looked on the device
manager. I don't know if the device driver I added was the cause of the problem, it was for an external hard drive using a eSATA board. There are bois on the board and that comes up when the computer is starting. I took everything I installed out of the compter
even took out the mSATA board out. The repair message says that it booted fine but something happened and gives the 0x490 error code. I've notice this seem to be a rather big problem. When I tried running check disk it couldn't run in the repair program. I
also tried runing Check NTFS and that gave me the same messaage, couldn't run the program in repair. There's a lot of  programs that won't run in repair. I've tried booting up to go to the DOS prompt but never got there and it went into repair. There's
a blue screen of death that goes by real fast. I used the start up menu when you press F8 to stop on errors and it stopped one time at the blue screen where I copied down the numbers. Many restarts and finally I got it to stop after the blue screen and it
was the same numbers as the first time. Not sure what to do with those four numbers. I'm wondering if they are from each CPU. What's real odd if I was able to boot up to several versions of Linux and the computer runs fine. It's just starting up in windows
7 is the problem. I haven't been able to run the boot menu program to see what it was doing. My computer has been down 180 days now but works fin in Linux. So I've been using the Linux OS program to search for help. I spend days reading the same fixes and
never find anything new to try. I used a Linux Boot Repair program and it didn't change anything. Well, going to boot up to the Boot Repair program and see if that makes a difference. That comes as an ISO file that's 600megs. The first boot repair program
was part of another OS disk.

  • Windows 7 Instalation Problem - Error Code 0xC0000005

I have been trying to install Windows 7 on my, rather old, laptop and it barely gets to the installation screen after inserting the CD into the CD drive when the message appears:
Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the installation sources are accessible and restart installation. Error code: 0xC0000005
I don't know why this message keeps appearing...
I ran the windows 7 upgrade advisor and it then said that my current graphics adapter will not support Windows Aero user interface and also to upgrade the drivers for my wireless and my ethernet - is it because of this that I cannot install windows 7? And if so, I was also not able to figure out how to find the updates for these...
    - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter
    - 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controllet
    - Windows Aero support.
Any help or insight would be extremely welcome.
    Thanks.

  • Windows 10 activation problem

About year and half ago I've got notebook toshiba satellite p75-a7200 with preinstalled Windows 8.1Now I did update from windows.update.After installiation of Win 10 it doesn't want be activated. It writes that my product key doesn't fit and blah blah blah.As for sure I don't know my product key (it is not written on notebook anywhere). My Windows 8.1 was fully legal(bought on BestBuy), notebook didn't get to repairshop or something. What should I do??? Microsoft answers told I have to contact PC manufacturer for original key.

    Satellite P75-A7200 (PSPLNU-00H004)
    Downloads here.
Also, go here and put your part number (PSPLNU-00H004) in.
Your selected Toshiba PC is supported for upgrade to Windows 10, but not all of the software for the upgrade is available at this time. Additional software will be posted here when it is ready. Please check back at a later time.
If it was an update (not a clean install), it should be activated.
How Activation Will Work on an Upgrade
I would roll back to Windows 8.1, be sure it's activated, and upgrade again.
If you Refresh or Reset Windows 8.1 (from the recovery partition or a recovery drive), you will have Windows 8 and need to upgrade to 8.1 again before upgrading to Windows 10.

    Hi,
This is an answer from a similar thread:
    Open SERVICES.MSC
look there for the Software Protection Service
    double-click on it
In the Genral tab, you'll see a selection dropdown for Startup
    Select 'Automatic (Delayed Start)'
Click on Apply - what happens?
Now click on Start - what happens?
close the window by clicking OK, and reboot
    run another MGADiag report.

    Have a try.
    Hope this helps.

  • CF11 is crashing ( application pool suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service)

I have a cluster of 2 IIS web servers on Windows Server 2008 R2. They had been running on CF10 for over a year (if not two) with no problems. I upgraded one server to CF11 and now that server is crashing while the CF10 servers is still running fine.
In the Windows event log I'm seeing 4 instances of this error:
"A process serving application pool '******' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '4652'. The data field contains the error number."
    Then finally:
"Application pool '******' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.".
Looking at the application pool in the IIS admin it is stopped. Restarting will resolve but it will eventually crash.
    What could be the issue?
    -Phil

I'm seeing in the CF logs leading up to the crash:

  • Windows 8 - Activation Error: 0xC004F074 and 4 things that do not fix it

OK, bought a used laptop with dual boot Win7x64 / Win8Prox64 in Feb. 2013. Windows 8 booted up and ran just fine for the first six months. I don't
know if it had anything to do with it, but I installed Office 13 in the Windows 8 partition not long ago, and it seems that after that Windows 8 kept issuing pleas to "activate windows" (but no complaints from Office 13, which is a HUP installation
from my work). On the bottom right side of the screen it now says Windows Pro 8 Build 9200, and on top of that is the light gray plea to (re) activate Windows. There have been no hardware changes to the laptop.
Finally got annoyed enough this weekend to try to resolve it, without success. Here are the four methods I tried, and the results:
    Attempt 1:
go to Control Panel > search Windows Activation > choose Windows Activation
    Response:
    Windows isn’t activated
Windows can’t be activated right now. Try activating Windows later. If this issue persists, contact your system administrator or technical support department for assistance.
    [Activate button]
    Activation details
    Error Code:
    0xC004F074
The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
Pressing the [Activate] button gets you the same response over and over.
    Attempt 2:
Open the command window as an administrator -
CMD (run as administrator) slmgr.vbs –ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (where
this is the 25 character key for Windows 8 Pro)
    Response:
    Installed product key XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX successfully.
    Next -
CMD (run as administrator) slmgr.vbs –ato
    Response:
    Activating Windows(R), Professional edition
Error: 0xC004F074 The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
    Attempt 3:
Open the command window as an administrator -
CMD (run as administrator) SLUI 3
    Response:
Enter a product key to activate Windows
    (enter product key)
Your product key works! Continue when you’re ready
    press [Activate]
    Get same 0xC004F074 error code
    Attempt 4:
Open the command window as an administrator -
CMD (run as administrator) SLUI 4
    Response:
Find available phone numbers for activation
    Click the nearest location:
    Afghanistan
[Afghanistan is greyed out and you cannot select any other country]
Click on Next, and get a non-toll free number in Afghanistan to call.
    Attempt 5:
CMD (run as admistrator) sfc /scannow
    No errors reported.
PLEASE Tell Me WHAT CAN I DO KNOW.
IT always shutdown automatically sometimes after that.
    PLEASE REPLY ASAP
    thanks,

    Hi,
It sounds like your computer is trying to access a KMS server for some reason. Are you sure you installed a MAK-key on your computer?
For further troubleshooting regarding eventual KMS-issues, please give us (masked of course) the output from the command 'SLMGR.vbs /dlv'

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

Reside on a network that contains network GPOs.  We are given authority to create unique GPOs for our specific LAN Web server.  Our Intranet web page requires Windows Process Activation Service and another service to open.  Before creating
the local GPO, the two services were in Disabled mode, but we could set them to Manual and start them.  The network GPOs would reset them at random every few hours, but again we could reset them.  After creating the local GPO, the WPAS is set to
Manual and will not start at all with the Title errors being generated.  Administrator previously completed successful GPO mods in WinSvr2003.  Is there a different way of doing GPOs in WinSvr2008R2?  I cannot provide logs or further details
other than the above.  Any ideas would be helpful.
