Windows 8 and Cisco Call Connector
Hi,
Does Cisco Call Connector work on Windows 8?
We have a customer running Windows 8 and they have encountered the following error when they tried to install it.

try using PPTP vpn. it will work without Cisco vpn client. below is config example.

CallRex and Cisco Call Connector software
I'm quoting a UC560 solution for a client that needs call recording along with Call Connector. I am interested in CallRex but it appears it is based on TAPI and therefore, unlikely to get it setup in the same environment as Call Connector. Am I correct in assuming I can't get both for the same phones? Anyone have experience with this or any recommendations or workarounds? I'm also looking at TIM Talk, but I may only need to do a few phones and CallRex appears attractive for recording only a few select phones based on their user cost.

In this experience I had an issue as the Call Connector server would register and hold onto the TAPI for that ephone and it broke the dial out function of the CRM. So you are saying to setup a dual endpoint on the Cisco device, one being hard phone and one being a softphone, registering 1 TAPI to CallRex and the other TAPI to Call Connector?
If that's the case though, the softphone would need to be on at all times in order for it to register the TAPI, correct? Am I understanding this or missing something? -
Cisco Call Connector Server Confusion
Hi all, we have a customer who is interested in the Cisco Call Connector Server.
In terms of ordering do I need 1 X SW-UCC-SERVER and then however many client licenses SW-UCC-CLIENT-1? Or are the Client licenses SW-UCC-CME?
Also does anyone know if the Call Connector Client will work over terminal services?
Also can Cisco provide copies for demo purposes?

Connectivity Issue between ASA 5520 firewall and Cisco Call Manager
Recently i have installed ASA 5520 firewall, Below is the detail for my network

Cisco Switch 3560 IP: 10.12.10.1/24 for Data and 10.12.110.2/24 for Voice
Cisco Call Manager 3825 IP: 10.12.110.2/24
The users and the IP phone are getting IP from the DHCP server which configured on cisco 3560 Switch.
the Default Gateway for Data user is 10.12.10.2/24 and
for the voice users is 10.12.110.2/24
now the problem is that the users is not able to ping 10.12.110.2 call manager. please if somebody can help in this regard. i will appreciate the prompt response against this issues.Actually i don't wana to insert new subnet and complicate the nework. i need a simple way to solve the problem. below is the details for the asa 5520 config.

Eurocom and Cisco Call release
Hi Pros,
I have a problem here, I been trying to resolve this issue for months.I still dont find out what the magic fix is.
There it is, I have a telecom system: A Gateway PRI, a 2801 which does only translation between the PSTN network and the Iridium Network(satellite-8816), and a few Eurocom Unit connected to the 2801 via FXO port.
The communication flow works great, the issue I am having is sometimes certains calls can stay up for more than 24 hours!!!
When this happens, I have to physicly shutdown the port or reboot the 2801. Still can find out whether this Eurocom common issue or it cisco!
With this issue going on for months, I am pretty sure that we been over-bill our customer.
Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome and thanks in advance for your help guys.Any ideas guys???!!

Call/video not working between Cisco jabber for Windows and VCS control C40s
Hello,
I've been struggling with no luck how to make a call using Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.6.0 registered to CM 8.6.2 with intercluster ICT to another CM 8.6.2 where we have a VCS Control 7.0.2 via GK H225, and all C40s are registered as H.323.
The VCS has interworking between H323 and SIP, however not sure if there is any problem with that. Assuming it is ok, not sure either if I'm facing any interoperability issue because in my remote site I have C40 (H323 registered at VCS and SIP listening mode) and cisco jabber for windows which is SIP based.
If is not possible, would I be able to change my C40 from H323 to SIP at VCS, or have both H323/SIP registered at VCS? If so, will I need to change as well instead of GK I'll have to establish a SIP Trunk between the CM and VCS?
Another thing I do not believe either I would be able to have one VCS connected with two clusters, right?
I'm just trying to find a solution in case my current topology is not compatible, but feel free if you have any better idea to make it work.
Anyway here is what is happening:
When I make a call from my cisco jabber windows to C40 using alias number. The call is being redirected just fine to the C40 and it rings, however when someoene or the auto answer picks it up, the call dropped right away.
However, if I enabled the MTP in my CSF device, the call gets longer before dropping. I was even able to see my jabber " start video" turns green, before was grayed out all the time and the call dropped faster. I hear a fast busy tone.
I'm able to provide SDI traces, logs, diagnostic sip/h323 calls from VCS in order to know for sure if this is an incompatible issue or something I can workaround.
Let me know if someone of you are interested in read these logs or could point me on the right direction.

I have looked at both logs. I have to mentinon though that you didnt
provide the log that shows the h323 setup between cucm and the VCS. This
is most likely because the call originated from a different cucm than
the ones you provided the logs from.
The call would have orginated from the first cucm in the cucm group of
this trunk: Name=RL_TRUNK_VIDEO
The cucm ip will be : 10.252.53.10.

How to call new window and text element without changing print program

I have requirement like this . i have a standard print prog and custom form. i want add 2 to 3 extra windows in the form and i have to print some data. but how can v do this with out changing the print program. i know that to pick new fields through subroutines. but how can v call new windows and new text elements with out changing the print program.
usually in the print program we write as follows.

textelemtn = 'HEADER'
can we accomplish this one also through subroutines or any other way is there.
can any one pls suggest this.

Ever since the latest update, my task bar (if it's called that - it's the one with "file,edit,view, etc") will "grey out" and I won't be able to type into any websites I visit. Only way I can proceed is if either restart Firefox (very annoying) or reduce the window and open it again. Please help!

Transfer VOIP Calls Between Cisco Desk Phone and Cisco Jabber For IPhone 9.5
Does anyone know how to transfer an active voip call from a Cisco IP Desk Phone to Cisco Jabber for IPhone? I can transfer a call from Cisco Jabber for IPhone to my Cisco IP Desk Phone no problem. I put the call on hold and then click "Resume" on my Cisco IP Desk Phone. However I cannot do the same but the other way around. If I put the call on hold on my Cisco IP Desk Phone, I see "no active call" on my Jabber client. The only information I could find slighlty relevant was using the Mobility Key/Remote Destination Profile feature however this defeats the object as this will forward to an external number, e.g. mobile and I just want to transfer the call within the VOIP environment between the two devices that are using the same directory number.
I am using Cisco Call Manager 9.1(2), Cisco Presence 9.1 and Cisco Jabber for IPhone 9.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am seeing the same behavior and trying so see if I can put calls on hold and pick them up both ways also.
The only answer I seem to have found is to use park instead
That would/should work but I would just prefer to hold/unhold
Just not sure why we would not be able to hold/unhold on what is essentially a "shared" line

On my G5 mac at work, I am getting - don't know what to call it - looks like extraneous matrix type code around prompt windows and in applications. Sometimes I will get large shapes of colors, yellows, magentas, cyans. Anyone else experience this?
I will attach a recent screen shot of a print window I opened and the extra code is above and below the window. There are matrix type blocks of code and then lines under the window. I get this all the time and it is getting worse.
Any help to get rid of it would be appreciated.

I got one on eBay for $59.00 free shipping. Hooked it up, called Verizon for free activation and now I always have 5 bar reception. No additional charges besides purchasing the extender. Out of 5 different providers including AT&T I get the best reception everywhere with Verizon.

Cisco Call Manager and MGCP Question

Scenario:
Site 1 PSTN E1----VG----Call Manager----VG--- PABX---Site 2 PSTN1 E1
I have configured a dialing pattern on Cisco call manager 6.xxxxxx to Send to VG on Site1
Both VG routers are using MGCP with call Manager.
The problem if from Site 2 tries to call 6xxxxxx the call manager is not routing the call to the VG in site 1.
I did debug ccapi inout and on Site 2 VG the call response was the number unassigned. This means that the call Manager is searching the directory for the destination but it is not searching the route patterns.
Any ideas to override this and ask the call manager to check it's destination pattern?
