  • Calendar times do not match between iPhone and Outlook 2013

I have Outlook 2013 sycing with iCloud (poorly but it works).
There is a time zone issue between these two programs.  I live in Saskatchewan (-6) where we don't have daylight savings time.  I have Time Zone Support turned off on my phone, and the time zone is automatically being detected.
My computer is set to Saskatchewan (-6) and if I create an event on my iPhone 5 at 9am, it will sync to my Outlook calendar for 8am in the Central Standard Time Zone instead of the Sask Time Zone.  So I change it to Sask in Outlook and it now shows up in Outlook at 9am, but it is on my phone for 10am.  I believe there is an issue where iCloud is sending the wrong time zone information to Outlook.  I have read in other forums that everything works fine between the months of November and March, so it is definitely a time zone issue.
    Hope this gets fixed.

Apple puts Saskatchewan into Central Standard Time, which isn't correct.  Then when it syncs to Outlook, Outlook puts the appointment into the CST time zone, instead of the Saskatchewan -6 time zone.  The problem is Apple's iCloud sending the wrong information to Outlook.
Need a fix for this please.

Using windows 8.1 and outlook 2013 with iCloud Outlook Add-in so that my iPhone 5 will sync with outlook. Now reminders work on iPhone 5, but don't work in outlook 2013. Help, I've tried everything I can think of or found on the internet.

    Hi,
Please follow the steps below to make sure the reminders have been enabled in Outlook:
On the File tab, click Options.
Select Advanced in the Outlook Options dialog box.
In the Reminders section, select Show reminders.
    Click OK.

As mentioned in the thread, you can try these steps:
Use MFCMAPI to delete the Reminders Folder, then run "outlook.exe /resetfolders" to recreate this folder:

  • ICloud and Outlook 2013 - Wrong calendar is being synced, how to change?

    Hi all,
I have iCloud installed and running Outlook 2013 on my Windows 8 computer and I'm having an issue with syncing calendars.  I've looked all through the discussions and haven't seen an answer for my issue so hopefully someone can assist.
iCloud is installed correctly and under the iCloud section in Outlook, there is a calendar and it does sync with my iPhone 5 but it's the wrong calendar.  It's not the main calendar that is up in my list of folders for my email account.  I can't find a place to tell iCloud which calendar to sync with so I'm not sure how to go about getting the correct calendar - or both if need be - syncing with my phone.
    Thanks in advance!

iCloud was built to provide a synchronization option and is claimed to work with Outlook.  Unfortunately it has a basic flaw that makes it almost unuseable by anyone that receives invitations via email, therefore it doesn't do what is claimed.
I'm sure it works great with the other Apple products. And maybe Apple doesn't care to worry about Microsoft, assuming that people will blame MS for this failing and buy a Mac.  That is a shame because, like it or not, Microsoft is still the 800lb gorilla in terms of office products.
Unfortunately you have entirely misunderstood iCloud, it is NOT a sync service, it is a subscription account that you can subscribe to with Outlook (amongst others). It does not sync your local calendar, instead you use the iCloud calendar.
It is Microsoft who chose this behaviour, not Apple (although this problem does not exist with Outlook for Mac), Microsoft chose to make that entirely incompatible with iCloud calendars and contacts, thus avoiding the issue

  • How do I wirelessly synch my Notes using iCloud among iPad, iPhone 5S and Outlook 2013 running on Windows 8.1

How do I set up my devices to wirelessly synch my Notes using iCloud among iPad, iPhone 5S and Outlook 2013 running on Windows 8.1?

    Hey bwind,
You will want to first create an iCloud account, if you haven’t already:
Creating an iCloud account: Frequently Asked Questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436
Next, sign in to that iCloud account on your iPhone and iPad, and turn on the syncing for notes:
    iCloud - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3c79652c
    iCloud - iPad User Guide
    http://help.apple.com/ipad/7/#/iPad995bbafe
Then you will want to download the iCloud Control Panel for Windows:
iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455
You will find your notes in their own section on Outlook:
    iCloud: Notes overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12081
On your Windows computer, your changes are pushed to Microsoft Outlook in the Notes folder of your iCloud email account. You can see your iCloud notes by expanding your iCloud email account in the Outlook folder pane (also called the navigation pane), then selecting the Notes folder in the email account.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

  • Iphone 5 and outlook 2013 (windows 8).

Can sync contacts fine but not calendar.  Tried all the suggestions on the threads read to date and nothing works.  If anyone has actually made this work can you please let me know the specific setting on the iphone and outlook to make this work.  thanks

Hi. I have done some research in this case. I have installed a “clean” Outlook 2013 on my PC using Win7/64-bit. Then I installed a “clean” iTunes v.11.0.2.26/64-bit. After this installation, I also had some problems in synchronizing elements from my “new” Outlook to my iTunes/iPhone
      I recommend the following:
iTunes have to know what is your standard files in Outlook (just as CameronN described in January 2013). In Outlook – set “File > Account Settings > Account Settings... > Data Files tab > select (highlight) the desired data file, click on the 'Set as Default' menu button.”
iTunes only synchronized calendar elements from the Outlook folder called \\Outlook\Calendar (to see this folder - use “folder view” in Outlook). If Calendar Elements are archived in the Outlook-folder called \\Outlook (and viewed as an ordinary calendar in Outlook) iTunes will not synchronized elements from this folder. And if the folder \\Outlook\Calendar doesn’t exist iTunes establish one during the connection/setup/synchronization of iPhone and iTunes. And since the “new” \\Outlook\Calendar is empty iTunes synchronize an empty calendar, and then the existing calendar on the iPhone is wiped out. The “temporary” solution is to copy all Calendar Elements from any Outlook-folder (e.g. \\Outlook) to \\Outlook\Calendar, and then synchronize iPhone with iTunes/Outlook 2013.
      To Apple:
I consider this as a problem in iTunes. iTunes can only synchronize Calendar Elements in \\Outlook\Calendar – not in \\Outlook. Even if I force iTunes to use Calendar Elements in \\Outlook iTunes can’t see or will not fetch any Calendar Elements from this Outlook-folder.
Please restructure (the “hard coded”) iTunes, and release a fix of iTunes which support Outlook 2013/iTunes to synchronized Calendar Elements from any Calendar folder in Outlook 2013.
And please do a QA of other modules in iTunes which may create similar problems during synchronizing of other type of elements in Outlook 2013.
    Kind Regards

    2. Use Boot Camp Assistant to create Equal partition (500GB) on iMac internal drive and start Windows install
    3. Complete initial install steps until given option to select install partition

    6. Get error message "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information."
    7. Install quits at this point
I'm wondering if Windows 7 and/or Boot Camp is compatible with this iMac. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    Many thanks.

Hi, Indeed. I am selecting the Bootcamp partition, and If I do Format, It informs me that all we be deleted, ok fair enough. then I can click the NEXT button, but I got then a msg stating :
Setup was u nable to create a new system partion or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup Log Files for more informations.
I have not more option here, I can delete, then create a new one with same size then format again, but same message at the end. this is my issue.

  • Cannot connect to Exchange server (Small Business Server 2008) using Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013

I am at my wits end. I have got a new PC running Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 simply WILL NOT connect to my work Exchange server. The REALLY annoying thing is that the Windows Mail client inbuilt to Windows 8.1 works perfectly! But I have to have Outlook
for the functionality. The issue appears to be that in Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1, it tries to be clever and auto-detect the settings whereas Windows Mail allows you to input the server and domain names.
I have tried all the suggestions already on some of the boards - manual setup, etc - nothing works! Is it a compatibilityissue with SBS 2008 and Outlook 2013? Any help appreciated!

There's no issue with O'2013 connecting with Ex '2007. Also not clear about comments of "auto-detect" versus "....have tried all the suggestions ............ manual setup....". On the one hand your stating that only "auto-detect" is available and on the
other that you've tried "manual settings" (which definitely is an option in O'2013 for EX accounts).
This may have more to do with the fact that you're using a new computer trying to connect to the server which it may not be configured for - something your admin will need to address.
Given that your question is in reference to Exchange - you are likely to get a better/faster answer in the following forum which deals with Exchange server related questions:
