Hi i have a 3000 c200 with W-7, if anyone has installed Windows 8 tell me how did it result!!!

The system drivers for Windows 8 is not available presently.

Safari for Windows will not log into IIS sites with Windows Authentication enabled. The IIS log has thousands of login attempts from Safari that result in 401 errors.
I disable Windows Authentication on IIS and it works fine. The problem with that is that my Windows clients stop working properly with seemless logins when I disable this.
The expected behavior is that Safari will work with basic authentication when NTLM does not work. That would result in a password prompt followed by a successful login instead of Safari stopping at "Loading" while hammering the IIS logs.
It does this on all machines that I have tried.
Any ideas or is this a bug?

I noticed that as well. I have to wonder if it's due to not making note of the the different end of line characters between Mac OS X and Windows in code.

Currently all versions of F-Secure Internet Security / SAFE will bluescreen with Windows 10 starting from Windows 10 build 10130. Only the beta version of F-Secure SAFE ("fs protection") is compatible.
We know what is causing the problem and are working on maintenance releases. The products will be updated before Windows 10 launches.

Partition couldn't be modified after uninstalling Windows consumer preview

I uninstalled Win Consumer Preview on my Macbook (Lion) using Bootcamp. An error showed up just as it got done. Since then, the Partition couldn't be modified because it contains CoreStorage physical volume. Help!

Could you please explain when you encounter this error code?
If this occurred when you installing Windows Update, you may try to download it/them from Microsoft Update catalog, and then install them manually.
If this is happened when you upgrade to the new build, you may consider to do a clean install using the Windows 10 9926 build ISO file.

Brian is right, for mange the Server 2008r2 sp1 we recommend use the Windows 7 or 7.1 platform.

T410s with Windows 7 and additional internal Hard Drive with Windows XP. How do I make them work?

Hi Everybody,
I have had my T410s for 9 months and I love it. No problems at all. I was a contractor so I could use whatever laptop I wanted. Now I work for a big company that issued me a Thinkpad T410 with Windows XP. Now the T410 model has a huge heavy battery compared to the T410s. An ex-colleague of mine used to have a T60p with 2 internal Hard Drives one with Windows XP and one with Windows 7, and he could boot the computer with the Hard Drive of choice.
Does anybody know how to do that? I already got the bay and the Windows XP Hard Drive inside the T410s.

Are you assuming that the return value is false because it is not true? According to [https://github.com/phoboslab/Ejecta/pull/173 this], null is sometimes returned instead of true. If false is actually returned, then I would think it is a fault with the tablet's browser. Either that or in the browser's settings there are options to pretend the device is something else (for testing purposes); there is no reason why these should be selected by default though.
If that's no help then please give us further details (such as the browser you are using).

Windows Explorer keeps crashing under Win 7 with RH7 and Source Control installed

This is an "informational" thread in case someone experiences the same problems. We installed RH7 on Windows 7 32-bit and accidentally, Robo Source Control was installed, too, although we do not use it. The latter loads three extensions into the shell that caused the Windows Explorer to crash on a regular basis ("Windows Explorer has stopped working"). After deinstallation of Robo Source, the problem seems to be resolved.

I would like to tell you that this problem is an issue with RH8, as well.

Virtualization solves this problem handily, by allowing you to create a new server to run the new program on the same hardware. it also solves the related problem of moving off unsupported hardware without changing OS or application. VMware is my personal
favorite, but Hyper-V, Xen, and VirtualBox all have similar capabilities.
Compare the cost of work and confidence in success of a upgrade, where any of thousands or millions of uncontrolled settings could cause an issue, to the cost of work and confidence in success of installing a new OS instance and configuring a known state
for the new environment.
In short, upgrades should no longer be a thing. there are just too many ways they can go wrong, and it's far too easy to create a new OS with minimal expense and effort.

Cannot share window xp 32-bit hp c5500 printer with windows 7 64-bit laptop

I am trying to connect my HP laptop running windows 7 64-bit with the home network printer hp Photosmart C5500 running on desktop windows XP 32-Bit, but could not get it working. It shows up in the printer control panel.

Also, have you installed the Windows 7 64bit drivers on your Windows 7 system?
How specifically was the printer added to the Windows 7 system? Was it through automatic discovery or was it browsed for manually?

NAC Windows Client 4.9.3.5 issues with windows 8

Hi, We are using NAC Client 4.9.3.5 and have had no major issues until the Client wanted to test with a Windows 8 Tablet, same issue also occurs on Windows 8 test Laptops.
The NAC client pops up with the message that the version of Software is not supported.
Is there a known workaround for this?
It's currently out of scope for the NAC rollout Project but will cause issues when the client does move to Windows 8.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Please ensure that you are using Internet Explorer in Desktop Mode and not the default Metro Mode for Tablets.
Note In Windows 8 Operating System, the Internet Explorer has two modes, Desktop and Metro. In the Metro mode, the ActiveX plugins are restricted. You cannot download NAC Agent in the Metro mode. You must switch to Desktop mode and then launch Internet Explorer to download NAC Agent.

Relatively sure they're the same; it just changes the wallpaper and the Aero color from what I can tell.
