Asking for network security key? What is that?
Network Security Key = WiFi Password
Your WiFi password should be recorded on a label on the back of your Jetpack. Some Jetpacks have an interface on them that allows you to display the WiFi Password on the device E-Ink screen too. Type that password in as your Security key when connecting the Win8 device to the Jetpack. Once you enter the WiFi password the Win8 device should remember it by default and allow you to auto connect in the future.
Let us know if you have any other error messages or issues connecting to Win8.

Im desperate to find a solution to my problem i have searched for 2 weeks and solved nothing yet...
I have an Airport express connected via ethernet to a router (not a wireless one) and that router connected via ethernet to my ISP modem, when trying to setup my airport express the Light was blinking orange.
I went to my MacBook and opened Airport Utility... it detected the AE but when trying to configure it it gave me an error and told me that i wasn't connected to the Airport Express... i tried connecting my MacBook via Ethernet to the AE but was useless still the same Error.
After going crazy about this a friend with an old iBook G4 arrived he has OSX Tiger and on his computer he opened Airport Utility and was able to enter to the airport configuration... my Router is a DHCP router it automatically gives you an IP, after configuring the airport to use with DHCP router the LED still blinked orange and after connecting any computer or device to the airport the result was just no internet connectivity.
Again we tried with his iBook to setup the Airport (because mine still gave me that error) and we forced the IP on the AE to be 192.168.0.13 after doing that the LED went green, connected my MacBook and and i was on internet! this was HUGE after 4 hours trying to configure AE we made it... we made a WEP password (10 numbers) and i was able to connect my MacBook and my iMac to the internet, Also my friends iBook was online and my iPhone worked perfectly!
This is where the real problem started i went to my wife's HP Notebook that has Windows xp SP2 turned on the wireless switch and it detected the AE network tried to connect to it and it asked me for the WEP password, I entered correctly the password and apparently the computer was connected to the internet but the icon at the bottom says "LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" i tried everything but still the same, i went to the repair option and after a while it gave me an error that the computer cannot get an IP.... i checked the IP and it was sometimes 0.0.0.0 and sometimes 169.254.xxx.xxx
but still limited or no connectivity! when opening IE "the page cannot be displayed" error always appeared.
I tryed to update the Drivers on the Laptop but useless they were up to date.
Then i uninstalled the Drivers on the Laptop and Restarted it, the computer then detected the "New Hadware" and installed it automatically (all this done with the computer conected via Ethernet) to my router.
Tried to connect again but useless still the same error
Finally i tried forcing the IP on the computer.. (on my Apple devices my IP was 192.168.1.101-105 so...) i tried forcing it to 192.168.1.107 the computer connected "correctly" no error was displayed so i went to IE and still the same "The page cannot be displayed" tried the "repair" option and nothing! still the same went to the connection properties packages sent like 102 and received 0... went again to configure the connection to use DHCP and get an IP automatically and again "Limited or no connectivity" and I'm stuck there.... my wife uses the PC also in a friends house that has AE and she is able to connect perfectly i don't know why she isn't able to connect with our AE... my AE firmware is 6.1

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Can not connect wireless through Bootcamp Windows XP to Timecapsule?
Any help would be appreciated.
I recently purchased an iMac with Leopard (10.5.2). Today, I used Bootcamp to install Windows XP with SP2. I created a FAT partition of 32 gigs and followed all of the steps (including installing drivers off of MAC OS installation disk 1 while on initial XP boot up).
My wireless network is on a Timecapsule and is "WPA Personal secured". The Mac OS detects the network and connects instantly, my work laptop PC detects the network and connects instantly. However, the newly installed XP detects the wireless network but will not connect. When I try to connect to the network, I receive an error message that basically states "unable to connect...". I do not even get to a screen that asks for me to enter a network key or password. When I try to connect to two other networks in the neighborhood, I at least get the network key screen.
I have gone into the Windows network tools and have tried to manually configure the connection, but I still get the same problem. I thought maybe I had "WPA2 Personal" enabled as the security setting for the network (XP does not support WPA2 out of the box) , but I have it as "WPA Personal".
Can't figure it out. I am new to Macs (about 1 month). The reason I switched was because I could run both Leopard and XP.

Even though my security settings on my Timecapsule are listed as "WPA Personal", my work PC Laptop kept detecting as "WPA2 Personal". I even removed all security settings from the Timecapsule and my laptop still detected as "WPA2".
I know that XP does not support WPA2 out of the box.
I hooked directly into the Timecapsule via an ethernet cable while in Windows environment. Thankfully, I was able to access the internet. I went to Microsoft and did a search for WPA2 patches for XP. Found one that allows XP wireless connection to WPA2. I installed the patch and was able to detect and connect wirelessly to Timecapsule from XP.
After two days, I have come to the firm believe (don't know the technical reasons why) that Timecapsule is a WPA2 device and that the XP patch is the only way to create initial connectivity. It is sort of ironic that although I wanted to connect wirelessly, I had to first connect via an ethernet hard connection.
Solve one problem, left with another. I have a Epson all-in-one scanner, printer, copier hooked to the Timecapsule. My iMac picks it up fine wirelessly but I am getting nothing on XP. Hopefully it is a simple driver download issue. -

Hi there, my internet is crashing everytime I use my macbook pro/safari it happens roughly every 2 mins, it can happen on any website.
I am not technical at all and I am at a total loss of where to start with this. I did a bit of research on the internet but no luck in finding any

Safari brings up a page you are not connected to the internet. I then look at the modem and DSL and internet lights are both flickering and or/off.
They then re-set themselves. I then have to re-set preferences on safari and quit and restart.
I have also tried using with cable into mac and modem and no difference.
I can only figure that maybe Safari is not compatible with the modem? could this be the case?

The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
Network section.
In Network - click on Advanced - then the DNS tab
under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
either these, from google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
or from OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then click OK & then 'Apply'
You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport) -
iTunes Store for Windows. Everytime I try an access the iTunes Store it takes really long to connect and then it says iTunes store cannot be access. I think I am up to date with iTunes Verison, I Have 11.0.2.26 but no matter what I try it does not connect. HELP Please???

I am trying to move a pdf file onto my iPad2, and it says that the device is not connected or has stopped working. But Windows 7 recognizes the device and I can see my pictures. Same thing happens when I try to put music onto the iPad.
When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up. -
Can anyone help me? My iPhone 5s is flashing the apple screen on and off and I can turn the phone on properly or off. Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. I hope somebody knows a fix or solution! Thank You!

I have windows vista home premium and all other iTunes worked on my laptop, I downloaded iTunes 10 and now the iTunes will not connect to the Internet. I use Mozilla firefox on my laptop and for some reason it keeps saying the connection timed out and I'm not connected to the Internet when I am. Why isn't iTunes recognizing my web configuration?
It probably has to do with your security and/or browser configuration.
When my laptop crashed last year and I had to get a new one, I dealt with the same thing. First, go to your control panel and select the security section. See if your firewalls are up or not. If they are, turn them off. If you have any software to speed up your browser, that can affect the connection as well. Go into that software and disble/turn it off. If this doesn't work, contact customer support. They have a few other tricks they had me try that worked, but I can't remember them now. -

try to restore in itunes bye putting in recovey mode turn the ipod off press the home button and plug in the ipod into the computer. an itunes shuld see it in recovery mode and click restore. and that should do the trick.
