Windows 8 Photoshop CS6 stopped working

After reinstalling CS6 PhotoShop CS6 on Windows 8 no longer starts. It doesn't start as administrator either

I did reinstall because both photoshop and indesign became unresponsive when starting. I guess an Adobe update rendered both unusable.

Photoshop CS6 stopped working while exporting images via imageprocessor! [PC]

As the title says, my Photoshop cs6 64bit allways stops working and freezes when i attempt to export several opened documents via the imageprocessor.
I try to export them as JPEG, qualitiy 12.

so it looks like there was a porblem with MSVCR100.dll ... What is it?

Thanks for your responce, i will try that but i think nvidia is on newest driver..
It would be intresting to know what this MSVCR100.dll is doing, i have seen problems in Games like Battlefield and Fallout..
I will now try to disable the GPU acceleration in PHS..

Photoshop CS6 stops working during random operations

I am asking for help again, as I have not had luck in getting this issue resolved. I have a PC with Windows 7, and am using Photoshop CS6. At random times during working in Photoshop, pop up screen just says "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working". Then offers to try find solution or to close program. There has not been a solution offered if I picked that option. The drop down has the following information:

Look at the OS Event Viewer. See if you can find the line Faulting Module. That will be where problem is.

Photoshop CS6 stops working

After opening and using photoshop cs6 for a few minutes I get a box popping up saying Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So far never received any notifications about a solution. I notice that it closes soon after I try a CTRL T to select an image.

ok i found what I think you mean by updates when you open photoshop and under help it has updates but when I click on update it says Update Failed update could not be applied because you are already running the adobe application manager. please close all appliances of adobe application manager before applying updates.

Photoshop CS6 stopped working. Cannot open it. Bridge opens, but without any of my files populating it. HELP

Photoshop CS6 will not open any longer. Clicks on the icon on the desktop do nothing. Yet I was working with it yesterday. Bridge opened with my files populating it. I turned off computer hoping CS6 would reset. CS6 still does not open, but now Bridge opens without any of my files. Please HELP.

Photoshop CS6 stops working after a period of time

Hi,
I'm having a very frustrating issue with Photoshop CS6. When starting up my Pc or notebook it works just fine and I can open images and create new documents.
After a period of time (unknown) I can no longer open images or create new documents. There are no error messages appearing at all.
I have contacted support and to date nothing has worked to resolve this.
I have un-installed and re-installed Photoshop. I have tried running it without loading preferences etc.
The application is up to date as is my operating system.
This is affecting Photoshop on 2 separate installs, my PC and notebook
Any ideas?

Photoshop CS6 stops working when combining HDR RAW images

When I have made 5 HDR RAW pictures and want to combine them within CS6, the program Photoshop stops working. Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong? I juist follow the instructions of the book.

My Photoshop CS6 stopped working.

I have Win 7 and my PS CS 6 worked fine for months but now has stopped opening any files or creating new ones. Instead it just freezes without any errors warnings. I do have CS5 PS still installed and it still works fine. All other CS6 programs work fine also. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled and I still got the same problem.

Liquify photoshop CS6 stopped working.

I have Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS6 and am trying to edit a photograph in Photoshop using liquify. I did a test on a jpeg photo the night before and it worked just fine, I was able to maniplulate the file. However last night when I tried to edit a file from lightroom or any jpeg file now with liquify it doesn't do anything. An example of this is that when I open the same jpeg as I did the night beofre and select for example the hand tool nothing happens to the image as I pull on parts of the image. I have changed the brush size and the pressure settings but no change. Any ideas? I am really new to photoshop.

First make sure all the Liquify settings over on the right of the panel look correct. Change some if they look correct and play with the tools and see if changing settings fixes the problem.
When Photoshop starts to behave badly often the only to get it back inyo its nor working condition is to reset your userid Photoshop Preferences. Be forewarned if you do that preferences you has set will revert to Adobe default settings. So you may want to backup your settings before resetting then. You could also try restoring the from a system backup you may have from before the time it stopped working correctly.

Photoshop CS6 Stopped Working. Can Not Re-Install. Disc Error?

I had downloaded Photoshop CS6. It worked for a while but now when I relaunch it, a "disc error" message shows up. I tried to re-install CS6 without success. I then threw the application in the trash to start from scratch. I still can not install. Please help?

Photoshop CS6 stopped working

I have been using my program since June without issue. Suddenly it stopped working. I can open the program but it will not create a new file or open an existing file. If I "open with" from windows explorer it won't open either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I'm still not having any luck. I need this for school and am incredibly frustrated!
I have unchecked the 'use graphics processor' option in preferences as some have suggested in other posts, but it didn't change anything. What should I do?

Uninstalling a program rarely solves the problem. Have you reset preferences? Start PS and immediately hold down Ctrl/Alt/Shift keys. If fast enough you will get a reset window.

NFR License for Photoshop CS6 stopped working

Hello,
My official and legit Master Collection 6 NFR serial stopped working few day ago and my software is back in trial mode.
In my Adobe account, the serial still shows up and is registered.
When I try to re-license with the same number, I get an error that the serial is invalid.
Help, Chat and support is not available.

Brushes in Photoshop CS6 stop working, what can be done?

Seems every day I am resetting my brushes in PS CS6 by shutting down the program and restarting it while holding the ctrl+alt+shift keys.
I work at a school so we are networked and I have a thoery that it may be a user profile setting for when the user logs onto the network only because this doesn't happen on my personal computer which has no network to log onto.
Sometimes I have to reset the brushes several times to get it working. And even after I do that after a few hours I may need to do it again, if the program was left on. My computer is hard wired to the network so it's not a wireless issue.
Anybody else having these issues? And what can be done about it?

Nothing. The iTunes Match service does not respect the checked/unchecked state of a song. ALL music is scanned and made available in the cloud.

             I'm not sure I have the answers to all your questions. Although I use Photoshop and Lightroom extensively, I'm not a 'techy'.
My system;
Packard bell imedia S2885
1TB hard drive
500G RAM
Windows 8.1   64- bit
Intel core i5 4440
If I open Photoshop cc14 without opening any image, I still get an error message that reads: 'Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled enhancements which use the graphics hardware'.
There is also a link to the Adobe help site, but I'm not sure exactly what I should be downloading from there.

Creative Cloud Illustrator & Photoshop 'has stopped working' - 'windows is checking for a solution..

Up until recently, Photoshop & Illustrator stopped working. When I would open the program it would begin to load and then come up with the message ' Adobe Photoshop has stopped working'
After which there would be another message ' Windows is checking for solution to the problem'
and then finally ' A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will lose the program and notify you if a solution is available.'
Indesign on startup seems to load normally and is fine.

This is the simplest fix, if you're still having a problem with it. I had the same problem, am running Windows 8.1. Just be sure to reboot after you copy the dll (dynamic link library) file indicated.
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
