Windows 8 RTM - iTunes Store login no longer saved

In Windows 8 RTM release that is now genarlly available I see that the iTunes Store email is no longer stored between program launches. Should it be like this?
Windows 8 RTM 64-bit with iTunes 10.6.3 (freshly installed after computer re-image)

Windows 8 has not been officially released and iTunes does not currently support it.
Wait until October when Windows 8 is officially released.

  • I have the Mac Os 10.4.11, and iTunes store will no longer come up on my screen to order tunes.  A download screen appears for the new iTunes. I can't download the new iTunes unless I get the new operating system for my mac.  Is there a way around this?

I have an iMac with a 10.4.11 operating system.  When I click on iTunes Store, I no longer get the iTunes screen, instead, I get a new iTunes download screen.
I can't download the new iTunes without upgrading my operating system.  Is there a way around this problem without buying the new operating system?
I haven't been able to download songs for awhile now.

which version of iTunes are you on ? if it's earlier than iTunes 9.2.1, get it here.

  • ITunes Store app no longer loading on iPhone 5 (using iOS 7)

I've upgraded to the new iOS 7.0.2 and everything was working fine but all of a sudden the iTunes Store app no longer loads properly.  When I tap on the icon the app flickers but loads in the background.  It doesn't actually open.  If I double tap the "home" button, I can see the app in the background with any other app that hasn't been closed.  When I tap the iTunes store app, when it's in the background, to try and open it from there, it just stays in the background.  This was initially working fine when I first loaded the new OS.  Has anybody experienced this?  I've tried to completely shutdown the phone and restart it with no success.  I've also tried re-syncing it with iTunes on my Mac with no success as well.  An email to Apple over a week ago still hasn't been answered.  If anybody has experienced this and can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks

Problem resolved.  A friend suggested that I go into iTunes on my Mac and backup the phone then try and do a restore.  This seems to have worked.  I'll update again if this fix doesn't hold.

  • Everytime I launch iTunes, a small window stating 'Accessing iTune store' that takes several clicks of stop to close it and then reappears again.

Everytime I launch iTunes, a small window stating "Accessing iTune store' appears.  It takes several clicks of "Stop" to close it but the reappears repeatedly.  I cannot do anything else if the window is open.  Please help.

this is what you need to do to exclude everything apart from desktop.
on time machine preferences, click on Options
click plus sign, on the new window, click macintosh HD
do a Control + A then deselect users then click okay
go to options again, plus sign, go to users, control +A then deselect your user account
go to options again, plus sign, go to your user account, control + A, deselect desktop
    start the back up.

  • How do I create a new window for the iTunes store?

    Hi,
I have the latest iTunes update on a Windows PC, but I can't seem to open any new windows for the iStore like you used to be able to, so you have to come out of your iTunes library (annoying if you want to check that you haven't already purchased a song you're looking at etc.).
Please tell me there is a fix (easy or difficult) for this!!
    Matt
P.s. I have the latest iTunes update.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Reboot the ATV and try it again. If it still won't play correctly, find the file in your iTunes store purchase history, click on the "Report a Problem" link, and report it to iTunes store support.

After upgrading to Itunes V8 I can no longer get to the Itunes store. The link is no longer in the Itunes left navigation pane.

i found the answer - in Edit, Preferences the parental controls were set to disable access to the itunes store

  • ITunes store error -37 (long filename?)

I purchased 54 songs (Stravinsky, actually) and one of them would not and will not download, giving an error of "stopped, err = -37". According to the store support e-mail response, it may have something to do with long filenames. They cited this: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106646
However, I am using iTunes 7.0.2 on OSX 10.4.8 -- hardly likely to be a problem unless the filename was set too long on the iTunes store servers.
Or it may be some entirely different and unrelated problem; either way I am missing "Pulcinella - Ballet in One Act: X. Anyone know of a workaround/solution?
    Intel iMac 17"   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Oh yes: when I try again, the alert says "Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again". My network connection is fine.

Hello. I have iTunes 8 on a MacBook with OS 10.4.11. Everytime I try to access the iTunes Store, I get a "What's New in iTunes 10.3" window that I can't seem to bypass. Any suggestions?

The update to iTunes 9.2.1 can be found here... I'm assuming you've already done this as this posting is well over a year old. so it's just for informational purposes.

  • Itunes keeps showing a window saying accessing itunes store.

my itunes program started playing up, it will constantly bring up a popup box saying accessing the itunes store it does this all the time everytime i press ANYTHING when i try to type it the search or edit a tag it takes ages because everytime i press a key it pops up with that box for about 10-30secs.... driving me totaly nuts iv tried looking for a setting that might do this and even uninstalled all of apple products from my pc and reinstalled -tunes but nope it still does it.
any ideas to what it could be here is a video showing what its doing...

Any help on this would be great cheers.

I would be worried about that - but it may turn out to be nothing.
Since you already changed your password, you're probably OK - but I recommend looking at your purchase history to see if there's any unauthorized purchases (use iTunes on your Mac or PC to go to the itunes store, then click your account in the upper-left or upper-right corner). If there are any new purchases that you didn't make, click the button to report problem (and if they happened after you reset your password, you should immediately change your password again).
I think sometimes when you change your password and verifiy your credit card info, it can "reset" the warnings - so it may actually have been you logging in to your own account that caused you to get the warning. But I'm not absolutely sure of that, so it's best to check your purchase history (and reset your password if necessary - but you already did that).
I also recommend turning on "two-step verification" (but Apple makes you wait a few days after changing your password to turn that on). With "two-step verification", Apple will send you a text message with a 4-digit code the 1st time you try to buy something from a new computer - since a hacker won't have your phone, they won't be able to continue (theoretically). After the 1st time, it goes back to mostly working normally (until the 1st time you  try to purchase from another new computer, then you get another text message - so this alerts you to someone, somewhere else, trying to get into your account).

  • Itunes store login

Itunes used to automatically log me into the Itunes store.  Recently, it has started requiring me to log in every time I open the program.  Has something changed?  Is there a setting I can change for it to keep me logged in?

    I get the message:
"This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store."
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Permanent Sidebar. Permanent iTunes Store login.

View > Sidebar only works while iTunes is open.. once closed for whatever reason, such as a shutdown/restart and then reopened after the reboot, the sidebar is gone again.. Is there any way to permanently fix this? Also, do I HAVE to sign into iTunes store everytime I use iTunes now or is there a permanent fix for that too?

Not sure about the sidebar because I can always see mine. I just did the 'control S' to view it and it stays on.
As to signing into iTunes, when I sign in I see a check box for 'remember password' or something similar. I never choose it because I don't want to remain signed in (in case my computer is compromised, I don't even stay logged into my e-mail)
Have you checked that box? If you have and it doesn't stick then there may be something on your computer preventing the program from remembering your device.

  • A film I downloaded is no longer available in iTunes Store

A film I have purchased from the iTunes Store is no longer listed when i do a search (top right hand of iTunes application.  For the avoidance of doubt the podcast associated with the film does come up so I am sure I am typing the name correctly) and therefore no longer available to download following a recent, accidental, delete!
Is there anything I can do to get the film back or is this one of the penalties of NOT purchasing a proper DVD and something I must expect to happen from time to time?

    Dear King_Penguin,
I do hope you don't mind me troubling you a little further on this topic but in light of your kind reply I would like to know if there is a "Built-in" backup option in iTines, beyond the one I found on the Apple Support Forum (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751), which suggests one simply copie (drag & drop) the ...iTunes\music\ folder to a secondary hard disk OR offers the "Backup to Disk" option which requires countless CD/DVD's to backup a library of more than a few Gigabytes, which any library containing a few movies would easily exceed?
Once again many thanks for your kind reply,
    youse sincerely,
    Andreas.
