Windows 8 Upgrade Error: "We Can't Connect Right Now"

I am upgrading my Windows 7 Ultimate Edition to Windows 8 Professional with a product key. I've tried the site "Upgrade to Windows 8 with only a product key", and I've tried everything, I've changed the networks, it still says, "We Can't
Connect Right Now", is that a problem with my product key?: XKY4K-XXXXX-8F6PE-XXXXX-CRYQH

Hi,
I made a search on the Internet, found this key: XKY4K-2NRWR-8F6P2-448RF-CRYQH. I doubt this should the key you use. As this key
has already been leaked, it should locked by remote server. If you want to upgrade your system to Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, please refer to the link below to buy these product.

It just won't download it have enough room for it

    Hello, emmanuel1122.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try closing down iTunes and restarting it.  Once this is down attempt to resume the interrupted download.  If this is a purchased movie, try canceling the download and download it again via your past purchases.  If the issue persists, you may need to troubleshoot the connection to the iTunes Store.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Database error #2002 can not connect local mysql server to socket through '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'(2) on mac os x 10.9.2

    Dear Fellas:
I received "database error #2002 can not connect local mysql server to socket through '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock'(2)" on mac os x 10.9.2.
    mysql info:
    ps -ef | grep mysql

    Please help!!

    Fascinated and guessing:
Something related to sock(2) because that's not part of your copied info. I'm thinking you've doubled up on sockets and the second socket doesn't exist, meaning you should be connecting to the first socket "mysqld.sock" whether automatic or not.
I've only used GUI tools on purpose, so does this mean you've already got MySQL running and you tried to launch it again manually? Perhaps you already have one instance of a db and you're trying to launch a second instance, and the two can't coexist with a single user local db?
Assuming this is all local, I'd shut down the db service and restart it, out of hand. I've seen similar messages when I set the db to start up on boot, and it didn't finish shutting down when I tried to restart it manually. Usually the GUI won't let me turn it on because it reports it's already running, but in that case it hadn't finished performing what the GUI was reporting.
    Just speculating.

  • "oemcrtl start oms" doesn't work, the error is "can't connect to OMS"

I created the repository by emca successfully, "lsnrctl start" is no problem, but when I run "oemctrl start oms", I got error message "can't connect to OMS", I should check which configure files?

    Hi,
May be this is unnecessary to say. Behalve your listener also the database where your management server repository resides has to be open. Then start the management server with the following command:
"oemctrl start oms sysman/oem_temp@<name of your machine>" (so replace name of your machine). Should be working if you can open your database.

  • Excel saving issues error: Someone else is working right now, please try again later"

Excel saving issues  error: Someone else is working right now, please try again later"
I am running W8.1 with Office 2013 and accessing a shared drive, When I try to save an excel document back to the shared drive - I get the error msg
"Someone else is working in "servername\share\filename" right now, please try again later"
I can see that there is no one else accessing this file at all. I created a brand new file, added content, saved and got the same error.
When I use a W7 with Office 2013 accessing the same share drive, accessing the same file - I am able to save the document without issues.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be.  Both of these situations are while working from home using a company vpn connection. It does not happen when in the office using either W8.1 or W7.
    Peter.

    Hi,
Saves when saving locally. Its looking more like W8.1 on a VPN connection that is causing the issue. What can I look for
I mean you can try to save it to local drive(like drive c:) and then copy it to shared drive.
If you gain the access to the shared file server, you can check the file status when you open this file.
Also you can check your event log to see which process causes this error.
Since I'm not familiar with VPN, I'd suggest you post your issue to the following forum:

Also the 1st gen device was discontinued awhile ago, since it runs on a different OS compared to the newer models it hasn't received any updates for 3 or 4 years now. There would be no update to check for.

Please help I've looked everywhere in my settings.

Could you be a bit more specific?? Which settings?? "about 7 items down" doesn't really tell me much. What is the path?? I.e  settings>messages>etc, etc. as I said above I have checked all the settings.

  • After Mavericks upgrade, I disabled iCloud / iCal connection. Now I can't make any changes to my calendar

I had multiple bad experiences with my iPhone using iCloud and when I upgraded, realized too late, that my computer was now going to be tied to the Cloud. After I recovered from the stress-induced, post-tramatic syndrome from my iPhone / iCloud experience, and verifying that I would not lose all my calendar entries, I disabled the Calendar connection for iCloud in System Preferences. Checked around iCal and nothing looked amiss.
Then I went to schedule a new event. Right click, the New Event window pops up and before I have the opportunity to type, a window pops up with this message: "There was an error saving calendar data. Calendar encountered a critical error while saving to the database, and recent changes may be lost. More information may be available in the console."
And left in my calendar is an entry called "New Event" that I cannot edit (I've tried using the menu as well as clicking). I tried deleting the event with this window popping up: "You can't change events in the "Home" calendar. Only the calendar administrator and any delegates with permission can make changes to read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator."
Me, I'm the calendar administrator and sole owner & user of this computer. Theoretically, "Home" should be me, not, as I suspect, some evil remnant of the Cloud sticking around to haunt me.
Question #1 ??? How do I fix this without connecting to iCloud again
Question #2 What is the console and where do I find the information referenced?
Question #3 How do I make myself the administrator, especially when I thought I already was the administrator?
    Thank you.
I'm on a MacBook Pro OSX Version 10.9.2

Nevermind. After digging around some more in the Support community, I tried restarting my computer. Problem solved. After the mess iCloud made of my iPhone, it didn't occur to me that the fix would be something so simple for my computer.

  • SSIS Package Execution, Windows Authentication, Error: Failed to acquire connection

    Hello,
I have developed one SSIS Package in SSDT 2012 to create Reporting Database from SQL Datasource and 1 SharePoint List.
On Development Environment : (Windows Authentication)
    Here everything is running fine.
On Test Environment Client Side : (Windows Authentication)
    Deployed successfully.
    Validating successfully.
While executing the package: getting below error.
SSISPackage:Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error Code : 0x80040E21.
An OLE DB record is abailable. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Service Componenets" Hresult: 0x80040E21 Description: "Multipe-step OLD DB operation generated errors. Check each OLD DB status value, if available. No work was done.".
Execute SQL Task: Error: Failed to acquire connection "ReportingDB". Connection may not be configured correctly or you may not have the right permissions on this connection.
    I have done below things:
    On SSIS Package side,
    1. DelayValidation is Set to True for all the connections and each tasks in package
    2. RetainSameConnection : True
    3. ProtectionLevel : DoNotSaveSensitiveData
    On SSMS,
    1. Created one Credential
    2. Create Proxy under SSIS SQL Service Agent to run package as Windows User
    3. Checked all the permissions and roles.
Below is the connection string which I am using.
    Data Source=DBTEST;Initial Catalog=ReportingDB;Integrated Security=SSPI; persist security info=False;
    Trusted_Connection=Yes;
Can anyone please help me? As I am trying to resolve this error for the last 4 days and could not find any solution yet.
    Thank you,
    Mittal.

Can you try changing protection  to - EncryptSensitiveWithUserkey
    can you also enable DTC
To enable MSDTC on each Web server on Windows Server 2008
Click Start, click Run, type dcomcnfg and then click OK to open Component Services.
In the console tree, expand Component Services, expand Computers, expand My Computer, and then expand Distributed Transaction Coordinator.
Right click Local DTC, and click Properties to display the Local DTC Properties dialog box.
    Click the Security tab.
In the Security Settings section, click Network DTC Access.
In the Client and Administration section, select Allow Remote Clients and Allow Remote Administration.
In the Transaction Manager Communication section, select Allow Inbound and Allow Outbound.
In the Transaction Manager Communication section, select Mutual Authentication Required (if all remote machines are running Windows Server 2003 SP1), select Incoming Caller Authentication Required (if running MSDTC in a cluster), or select No Authentication
Required if some of the remote machines are pre-Windows Server 2003 SP1. No Authentication Required is the recommended selection.
Select Enable XA Transactions, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 1 through 9 on the other Web servers.
