Please use slmgr.vbs /ato to activate and update KMS client information in order to update values.
Check your event log (on both this KMSclient, and also on your KMShost):
Look at the events from source = Security-SPP  (SPPSVC)
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee939272.aspx
Also, we can see that there seems to be "tampering" occurring with the files for "Windows Activation Technologies":
C:\Windows\System32\Wat
You may need to first attempt to re-activate with your KMShost (use slmgr.vbs as advised by the logfile).
If this does not succeed, you may need to perform integrity checks on the WIndows files:
eg: SFC /scannow
eg: CheckSUR http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

  • I purchased a Maxx at FULL retail price (out of contract) to keep my unlimited data. An unauthorized/illegal change was made to the plan and all VZW could do was offer me $20 in credit.

    As the title says:
I purchased a Droid Maxx at full retail price (approximately $540) to keep my grandfathered unlimited data. An unauthorized/illegal change was made by my younger sister (who is not an account manager and stole the information from my mom) to the plan and I was not notified within the 14-day closing period to revert the changes. For the record, both my mom and I are account managers, my younger sister is not.
I went in to my account (and changed all the information) and found out that when changes are made to the account online, you have to send an authorization text to one of the phones--however, you can send this authorization to ANY of the phones on the plan, so my sister sent it to hers (instead of an account managers).
So, the only reason I found out about this change to my plan was via a text message telling me I was "approaching max data," which of course should not happen with unlimited data. My younger sister did not tell anyone she made the changes.
When I found out about two (nearly three) weeks ago, I called Verizon to open a ticket about it. They did, said they would call/text me back a few days later--they didn't. One week later I made another phone call to see what the status on that ticket was--the rep said that the other rep was supposed to call me, but didn't, and so he pushed the ticket again. Lo and behold, another week later, still no response from VZW about the ticket. So I called again only to find out that the request to revert the data plan back to unlimited had been denied.
I spoke with that representative for nearly 40 minutes and all she could offer was some unwanted advice about what to do about my sister's behavior or that "I'm so sorry that someone would do that." I told her I wasn't looking for consolation, but for a compromise on either getting my unlimited data back, or refunding the difference between contract and full-retail price of the phone. I threatened to leave VZW because of this and all she could offer was a measly $20 credit.
I have filed a BBB complaint against Verizon Wireless for this issue as an illegal change that goes unnoticed past the 14-day closing period should be addressed in a more urgent manner.
I have also reached out on Reddit and Twitter, because obviously calling the VZW support does nothing to alleviate my situation. I am very dissatisfied with how VZW is handling an illegal and fraudulent change on my account that has shafted me out of 500 dollars.

You seam to be focusing your anger at Verizon and not your sister. Verizon followed the rules and required IDs and passwords to access the wireless account. You and/or your mother are supposed to safeguard that information.  Your sister has committed the felony by stealing your mothers identity for personal gain.
You say "I am very dissatisfied with how VZW is handling an illegal and fraudulent change on my account that has shafted me out of 500 dollars.'  My question to you is who made the illegal and fraudulent change to your account?  Verizon or your sister? Keeping in mind your sister had all the correct IDs and passwords,
I'm sure if you went to Verizon and wanted to make some changes to your account, and you had the correct IDs and passwords, you would be upset and angry if they put you through the 3rd degree because they thought you were committing fraud.
Good luck to you, (seriously) whatever happens,

Hetti Arachchige V Aravinda is correct.
Hackers will use a key generator for guess accounts mailed to you, if you click, your are actually installing a run script,  usually this will run all the time, if there is an connection, the guest account will tell you the connection and where.
This is most famous with IIS ftp service for guest accounts. This was a major flaw with IIS ftp service in previous OS the ftp world get confused with the amount of failed attempts and grant admin abilities to your ftp.
Your event for guest account would show may attempts, this is a very common old way that spammers  used to connect to a device to spread spam.
Wireshark is a sure way to trace packets in and out of your ISP. You can  now see what is coming. if you do this, do not let pcap run on start up. I am positive you have nothing to worry about. If you do trace your IP and you see lots of proxys coming
in, I suggest you contact your ISP about this.

I am uanble to open or close firefox. I usually use firefox. When I updated or download something it disable firefox. Last change July 5, 2011. I have tried downloading it a gain but it states I have existing program that is open and won't let me run it. Help. I love and trust firefox

Try holding control, alt and delete down in succession and then a dialogue box will appear with windows task manager. Once open click on the Processes Tab and look for firefox.exe. Highlight this and then click end process. It should come up with a warning but just click Yes. This should then close firefox and allow you to reopen it from your desktop without shutting down your computer. Hope this helps.

  • What changes was made in ApEx 3.0 with DB session.

How to create a new DB session for each user?
    Best Regards, Kostya Proskudin

    Kostya,
With the mod_plsql session pooling you should always assume that you will not get the same session you used last time, i.e. it is far 'safer' to assume you have a different session than assuming you will get the same one.
Application Express and mod_plsql handle all of that side of things for you with respect to the APEX session environment, in other words even if you get a different database session from the pool of sessions then the the APEX session state information will still be the same for the same APEX user.
If it's true why I have the same data in temporary table in each computer in my office?
It was in ApEx 2.2 but in ApEx 3.0 something changed. An anomaly, you could run that test 999,999 times and get the same data in the temporary table and then the 1,000,000 time you run it you might see the 'wrong' information.
As Joel and I have already said, temporary tables are not suitable for using in this way. The conclusions you are drawing from your test are (in my opinion) incorrect.

  • My iPod was made on Windows, now I have a Mac and can't access the music on the iPod to carry over to new iTunes. What to do?

I am unsure whether it can be reformatted? On the summary when I plug in the ipod (pretty sure it's a nano 4th gen) it shows the format as Windows. However now I have a Mac, I can't access the music library on the ipod, and I'm not game to try 'export' as I don't know what it will do, and I won't sync as I will lose that music library. I am thinking of making an appointment to see the Apple staff at the shop but I'm not sure if I will need to get a new ipod in the end??

  • Unauthorized change error after installing

After I installed to the recent version of quicktime (7.4.1 I think) and restarted my computer and logged on the error message "An unauthorized change was made to windows" and I was unable to use my computer. The only way I could use my computer was if I used system restore in safe mode to restore my computer to a time before the installation of quicktime.

    What is the exact error?

  • How to create mailboxes under mac os x 10.6.4 either using ldapv3 or windows active directory?

    hi,
i'm working on the mail server of our company. the plan is to implement the built in mail server feature of mac mini OS X 10.6.4 using either ldapv3 or preferably our existing window active directory users.
i was able to set the open directory and can view the user accounts from AD. my problem is i do not have any clear documentation or manual on how to create mailboxes using either AD accounts or MAC LDAPv3. i already checked the manual of mac os x mail service administration and have found none pertaining to this case.
i would really appreciate if someone can give me reference on how to do this. as of now im quite desperate because i have a deadline for this project.
thank you in advance for your help.

You said, "A 2014 iMac can't run either Snow Leopard or Lion." I know that. What I want to know is how I can install Lion or Snow Leopard on a peripheral hard drive, NOT on my iMac.

  • Windows activation tells that an error has occured

Last night i had a window open that told me there was a windows activation error and that my version of windows was not valid. When I try and open the Windows Activation it tells me that an error has occured. Code: 0x80070424.
I am using the windows that was preinstalled on the computer. BUT, I ended up having to buy back up disks from Toshiba and the service centre reinstalled it for me. Not sure if there is an issue there or if it's internal.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Will.

No sorry. I should have explained it better. Here's a time line.
    1. Purchased computer in January 2011
    2. Had a hard drive error April 2011
    3. Purchased recovery disks and had the computer fixed - windows reinstalled by Toshiba Service Centre (Qld) April 2011
    4. Yesterday i had the window pop up from Windows telling me there was a problem and i wasnt running a genuine version of windows.
    5. I tried to run the "Activate Windows" on my computer but it comes up with an error and tells me to contact Toshiba.
    6. I have come here for help.

when I started to open firefox, windows pops "browser settings change" .. and the window can not be deleted or removed .. I want to ask how to remove it ..
in the window that says "an unknown change was detected on your browser's search settings:
    keep my current settings
i am aware of this change and approve it
I've been picking and pressing yes but the window was still not working .. what should i do .. thank you

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.
If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator.

  • Windows Azure Platform Support: "Prompted for "Windows Activation" when logging onto a Windows Azure Role Instance using RDP"

    Symptom
When a user interactively logs (using RDP client) on to a Windows Azure Role Instance running Windows Azure Guest OS 1.11, they see a “Windows Activation” dialog box.
    Action
The user can ignore this dialog box by simply clicking either “Cancel” or “Activate Later” button on the “Windows Activation” dialog box. This pop-up window is just an UI issue in Guest OS 1.11 and no OS functionality
issue. All Role instances running any version of Windows Azure Guest OS has valid volume licensing key and are already activated. There is no need to provide any activation key to validate the OS.
Please don’t try to activate Windows Azure Guest OS using your Windows Server OS Key, this will cause unexpected downtime and will require a reboot. Activating Windows Azure Guest OS is not a supported scenario.
    Workaround
Use the next available OS or any previous version of OS (e.g., 1.10) to work around this issue.

    Hi,
Using slmgr /rlic command in elevated command prompt to reinstall the license files. This option reinstalls all licenses stored in %SystemRoot%\system32\oem and %SystemRoot%\System32\spp\tokens. These are “known-good” copies stored during installation.
