I can't get my apple magic mouse to work on my boot camp, running Windows 7 Ultimate on my early 2011 macbook pro with latest Marveric OS........ It works perfectly on the Apple ,

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I had trouble installing on 10.8.
I then found this particular support page:

Be patient with the download, it takes some time ... When it has downloaded, follow the install instructions. It works well.
I use the printer through usb but my wife uses wireless from her PC laptop.

  • My macbook pro(Lion 10.7.2) continually lost connection with the magic mouse, which charged well.

There is something wrong with my new macbook pro MD322(Lion 10.7.2). It continually lost connection with the magic mouse. I ensure that the mouse is charged well. I also looked up the matter on Web. It looks that the matter is familiar for many users.

I have a m-audio fast track pro that I'm having a similar problem when using it with my new Macbook Air. I found changing it to 16 bit will work.
I have a Apogee iMic that works fine so my guess is we will have to wait for Avid/M-Audio to update drivers.

  • Connections problems with magic mouse

I keep losing the bluetooth connection with my Magic Mouse, magic track pad and apple bluetooth keyboard.
Magic Mouse problems are daily.  Sometimes it works intermittently.  Track pad problems are less frequent.
The keyboard gives me problems with the shift key.  When I hit the shift key sometimes it causes texts to be highlighted on screen. When texts are highlighted on screen, they are erased once I hit a new key.  This is extremely frustration.  Any solutions?

Usual first attempt for a remedy for these BT problems is to try smc and pram reset.

  • When I try to connect my Apple Magic Mouse to my Windows 8 pc it says enter the Pass code?

I have a Windows 8 pc and I want to connect my Magic Mouse to it. So I search for bluetooth devices and it picks up. I click connect then it asks for my pass code and I don't know what it's talking about. I got this mouse for my birthday and it's referbished from Sears it came in a box and that was it nothing else. Please help.

It is opening up your computer generally because there are photos in the camera roll to prompt you to import them to the computer as you would a digital camera.

  • Magic Mouse and Windows 7: Wake up a Sleeping Magic Mouse

For those of you who have managed to get your Magic Mouse (MM) working in Windows 7 (W7), you may have noted that the MM becomes unresponsive after a few seconds of not using it. This is a W7 "Feature" and not a "Bug". What is happening is the mouse has cycled into a "Power Saver" mode. You can re-activate the MM by giving it a single "Left Click". If having to do this every time you let the mouse sit idle for a few seconds in annoying to you, here is how to turn this "Feature" off.
    1. Click on "Start", (The circular Windows icon in the lower left corner of your display.)
    2. Select and open "Control Panel".
    3. Select and open "Device Manager".
    4. The Device Manager window displays a list of devices installed on your computer. If you can't see the list, click on the "triangle" to the left of the "Bootcamp" volume icon.
    5. Double Click on "Bluetooth Radios".
    6. Double Click on "Apple Built-in Bluetooth".
    7. In the "Apple Built-in Bluetooth Properties" window that opens, Click on the "Power Management" tab.
    8. Un-Tick the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
    9. Close everything up. I usually log off and log back in. You might also do a Restart.
    10. Done!

Thanks! That fixed my issues with my Apple bluetooth mouse and keyboard in Win7.

  • HP all in one: can I connect a non-wireless mouse to the computer

I have an all-in-one desktop computer (HP pavilion with Windows 8) with wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. What happens if the mouse drops to the floor and breaks? Do I need a new mouse or can I connect a normal mouse with a USB to the computer? Or does the computer work ONLY with a wireless mouse?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

You can connect a USB mouse to your all-in-one PC.
You won't need to find any drivers since Windows 8 will provide the driver as soon as you plug in the mouse.

  • How can i get my apple  magic mouse to work on windows7

Can my apple magic mouse work with my hp pavilion g7 notebook windows 7?

You need the mouse drivers from the Apple Boot Camp support files.
I don't know if the Apple License agreement allows you to run the software on non-Apple hardware though.

  • Can't set up new Magic Mouse scrolling with Lion

I am running Lion on my MacBook Pro and just got a brand new Magic Mouse. I can pair it with the computer and move the pointer, right and left click, but no scrolling or middle button clicking. When I go into System Preferences and select Mouse, I only have the options to "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling," Tracking Speed, Double-Click Speed, Scrolling Speed, Primary mouse button and Zoom using scroll wheel while holding ^Control.
Nowhere do I see the little video and gestures window like I see for my trackpad preferences. I thought maybe I had to install the Wireless Mouse Software, but all I can find is a version for Snow Leopard and my computer will not open the file because it says it's incompatible.
Is scrolling (just up, down, left or right like in a browser) not possible in Lion with a Magic Mouse? What am I missing?

Your missing the Magic Mouse Preference pane.  Sometimes 3rd party drivers interfere with this.  USB overdrive has been reported the most.  Your Magic Mouse Preferences should look like this:
If you can find the culprit and uninstall it, this pane should return.

  • Poor connection for my magic mouse

just really confused here,i got this mew mac mini last month and got my magic mouse couple weeks ago,it is fine but i am not a big fan of my magic mouse, the connection is really terrible,i have to keep the mouse right in front of my mac mini within less than 20Cm,or my mouse will act really wacky on the screen, and i can hardly use it!  I would say this is probably the worst wireless mouse i have ever had! I have higher expectation on Apple products!!!
and because its over 14 days,so i cant return it ,so i guess all i can do is to just suck it up ??

It's probably interference with the wifi on 2.4Ghz.  Try changing your access point to use 5 Ghz or a lower 2.4 GHz channel.

  • Connecting a new Magic Mouse to a sleeping iMac

I'm in the processing of migrating to a new Mac, was backing up some data on the old mac and disconnected the mouse and keyboard from the old one to pair with the new.  Now, the data has finished backing up (I think) and I'd like to reconnect a new Magic Mouse with the old computer.  Is there anyway to do this?  I don't just simply turn it off and then on because I'm not sure if the data is done or not (the Mac is sleeping with a black screen).
    Thanks,
    Matt

The news is not good based on what I have been able to find:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/2914651#2914651
This may not be definitive.  This may be a fools errand, but connect them and see if on SYSTEM PREFERENCES>DISPLAYS the iMac is recognized as a monitor.
Perhaps a post in the iMac forum might prove useful.
    Ciao.

  • Windows can't connect to shares on Lion Server

I can't connect any windows machines (XP, Vist, or 7) to a Mac Pro running Lion Server. When attempting to connect, the windows user is prompted for credentials, and nothing entered in this box works even the server admin account info, once entering account credentials, it comes back with NAMEOFWINDOWSCOMPUTER\USER as if it's trying to sign into a domain, which we don't have domains.
I can't seem to find anything relevent when searching...

There are a couple things you can try:
1.\ go to the apple server, sys prefs, sharing, selct file sharing and then select option. from there make sure the both check boxes are selected. then select done.
2.\ while you are there, in the shared folders section, selct the folder you would like to share (or add if its not) and make sure the user is in the users pane that you want to share the folder with.
3.\ restart your windows machine to make sure it forgets any passwords you may have put in.
4.\ if it still doesnt ask for a user account go to map network drive. and select the option to put another username and password in. for the user name user SERVERNAME\username - ensure the servername is in CAPITAL letter...
    hope this helps...

  • HT2693 Can an apple keyboard and Magic Mouse be used on a PC?

I very much like the look and feel of both the Apple Magic Mouse and keyboard. The problem is that I only have a common Windows 7 PC. It therefor leads me to the question will they work on the Windows 7 PC as I have a Bluetooth dongle that I used to use with my samsung ace phone, before I got sense and started to use an iPhone?
If I could afford a mac I would be in heaven!

There are very very similar devices available for Windows. Go Google.
