Windows can't find Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) after iTunes 9.2 upg

Hey guys!
My iPhone 3G (3.1.3) and iTunes (9.1) has been working normally when I upgraded iTunes to the 9.2.0.61 version to install the OS4 in my iPhone.
After this, when my iPhone turn on in Recovery Mode, Windows cannot find the driver "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" and the iTunes can't upgrade to OS4.
If I turn on my iphone in normal mode, Windows can install successfully the driver and iTunes recognize the iPhone.
I put my iPhone in another PC (with Windows XP and iTunes 9.1) and the Windows found and installed the iPhone drivers in Recovery Mode. But, in this computer, I've also tried upgrade the iTunes to 9.2 version and the same Problem has benn ocurred.
Someone else has the same problem???
Thanks for help!

I GOT THE SOLUTION!!
This problem happens due a conflict between the Samsung's Software "NEW PC STUDIO" and the Apple Drivers!
The solution is unistall all Samsung's Software and removing all Apple Softwares as well (like iTunes, device drivers etc)
Then cleaning the Windows Register with some software like CCleaner AND manually using REGEDIT, just find for Samsung (carefully with other Samsung Devices like HardDrive. You musn't remove something like that) then, finding for New PC Studio.
Remove all Keys related Samsung New PC Studio.
Restart your PC and reinstall iTunes lastest version.
Now, you can put your iPhone in Recovery Mode that Windows will recognize it!

  • IPad - Windows Vista unable to locate Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)

Hey everyone , I am at my wits end trying to fix this problem . Having spent hours and hours researching a solution I am no closer to finding a resolution.
The problem began during a software update last week ( I have an original iPad , prior to this I had used it on my PC for nearly 12 months without issue).
During the software update it started coming up with a "Found New Hardware Apple Mobile Device Recovery mode" then "Browse for Driver software" , so I direct it to C:ProgrammeFiles\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Driver etc .... however it still cant locate it.
Now - the iPad is stuck in Recovery Mode. It has been nearly a week now.
    Here is what Ive tried
Confirmed Apple Mobile USB installed and working
Followed the Apple Support prompts re drivers to a tee
    Tried manual update of Driver
    Updated to latest iTUNES
    Uninstalled then reinstalled driver
Read post after post on "similar" issues
    Nothing is helping
Please , please , please , pleeeeeeeeeease can you guys help ?
    Please note following
My iPOD Classic is recognised fine by my PC and is 100% working
I havnt completely deleted itunes then reinstalled because post after post tells me this doesnt fix this particular issue
During the software update initially it was coming up with a 604 error / Restore as well as the Driver issue , now my ipad is not recognised at all by Windows
Yes - I could take it too another PC to restore , but I want it synced to my PC and ITUNES library
I feel I'm no Computer Dummy , but this one is a total head scratcher
    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp !!!!!!!!!!

    Fixed.
Took iPAD to Apple store who restored back to factory setting.
Brought home and it synced fine
    Back up and running
Diagnosis ? probably some soft ware update glitch
Lesson ? - dont waste your time reinstalling Itunes for this problem

  • Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) and frozen "Connect to iTunes" screen

I have had my iPod Touch for about one year and have synced with my PC (XP) without incident during that time. Yesterday something happened while connecting with iTunes and I have not been able to find the solution on this board or others. Maybe the charge remaining in the iPod was insufficient. The iPod screen is frozen with the "Connect to iTunes" icon. I can turn it off (black screen) but as soon as it is attached to the PC or docked, the same icon reappears. I cannot make the red slider appear to shut it down.
On the PC side, as soon as I attach the iPod, it wants to install the driver for "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)". I have attempted to point it to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers find the driver, but what it wants is not there. I have completely uninstalled iTunes, Quicktime and related files; and reinstalled iTunes. I have tried every trick I can find in this forum and others to no avail. When the iPod is connected to the PC, the device manager shows Other Devices - Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) with a yellow question mark and exclamation point. This device shows twice. The Apple Mobile Device USB Driver shows under Universal Serial Bus Controllers and is working properly.
I am at the end of my rope. I hope somebody that can help me will read this. Thanks.

    Hi
I am experiencing the same problem as the person in the first thread as follows:
"The iPod screen is frozen with the "Connect to iTunes" icon. I can turn it off (black screen) but as soon as it is attached to the PC or docked, the same icon reappears. I cannot make the red slider appear to shut it down.

I have tried everything I can think of and have been advised to do on the Apple Support pages but this makes no difference.
Please can someone offer a solution.

  • Hello after updating to the new iTunes i got a box saying that i needed a new version of Apple Mobile Device Support and ihat i should uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support then install iTunes again.  I have been unable to uninstall itunes

Hello- after updating to the new iTunes i got a box saying that i needed a new version of Apple Mobile Device Support and ihat i should uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support then install iTunes again.  Problem is I have been unable to uninstall itunes, can't find the installation files .msi.  I'm using Windows XP.
    Help!

Problem is I have been unable to uninstall itunes, can't find the installation files .msi.
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Why won't Apple Mobile Device Support install with itunes setup??

Why won't Apple Mobile Device Support install with itunes setup?? I keep trying to reinstall, and installs everything but Apple Mobile Device Support. How come. will someone please help me?? I updated windows, and thoroughly removed everything before i reinstalled itunes. I don't know why it's Apple Mobile Device Support isn't going on there. HELP! Is there anyway i can just download and install Apple Mobile Device Support by itself???!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.

  • How do I fix "apple mobile device" failure when reinstalling itunes on my PC?

How do I fix "apple mobile device" failure when reinstalling itunes on my PC?

    Hey chadnh11,
It sounds to me like you uninstalled then attempted to reinstall iTunes to troubleshoot the issue you were encountering? First, I would try the steps in here:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
If you end up getting to the point where you remove and reinstall iTunes, make sure you follow all of the steps in this link:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
This section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
    Sincerely,
    Delgadoh

ok i just downloaded itunes to my PC and connected my iphone and its asking to download apple mobile devices support then install itunes ....what do i do please help meee

Sounds like your file really is downloading but you just don't know it.  Check your Downloads folder to see if it's there (and give it enough time to complete!).  You will get the "thank you for downloading" page even though the file is just beginning to download.
If iTunes still isn't downloading, then clear your browser's cache and and try downloading again.
