1.
Open Registry Editor, making sure that you have administrator rights.
2.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Architecture\Drivers\Version-3
3.
Delete any subkeys for printer drivers that have been installed.
4.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers
5.
Delete any subkeys that reference any network printers.
6.
Close Registry Editor
7.
Go to Windows\System32\Spool and delete everything in the following folders
1.
Prtprocs\x64
2.
Servers
3.
Printers
8.
Restart the Print Spooler services

Got a local password/username on your Win7 ? Create the same on the 2003R2 as you seem in workgroup
    net user /add useraccountname mypassword
net localgroup users useraccountname /add  (I think it's users the name, you can validate to be sure) or
net localgroup administrators useraccountname /add in worst case.
nb, or add the user guess in the printer share security

  • Windows cannot connect to the printer the local print spooler service is not running please restart the spooler or restart the m

We have 7 computers on a local network 3 of them have local printers 2 and are brand new Vista equiped. we shared the local printers on the vista machines but they are unaccessable from one vista to the other... it works from an XP to a Vista, but not from a Vista to a Vista.... go figure.... When we try to add the printers, the error message that we get is: "windows cannot connect to the printer. the local print spooler service is not running. please restart the spooler or restart the machine."
    I would appreciate any help...
    Thank you

    This worked for me.  GP
Problem : error 1075 and Local print spooler service is not running.
problem description : I have a Lexmark x4270 all in one. I installed the driver for it in my new laptop running Vista. Turns out the driver is not for Vista but XP. I uninstalled the XP driver and downloaded a Vista driver from Lexmark. When I try to run the printer software I get a message "Local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine." I tried all of that. I have looked this problem up on the web and it is quite common with Vista. Many of the "solutions" say it is a problem with an incomplete removal of the incorrect printer driver and they show how to correct in the registry. I am not comfortable tinkering with the registry and thought I'd consult with you first.
I tried "everything" I could to fix the problem of getting "error 1075" fixed in my HP laptop running Vista.  HP came up with simple solution below.  The regedit part is what fixed mine.  I did not need the safe mode part.  I think Lexmark should add the solution to your knowledge base.
    ==============================
From HP:  Please perform the below given steps in safe mode to resolve the issue.
Reboot your notebook and press F8. The system will show some booting options select safe mode.
Note: Starting computer in safe mode may take some time.
Uninstall the printer using Programs and Features from the control panel of your notebook.
Uninstalling any software from Control Panel :
    1. Click on Vista (start) button
    2. Click on control panel
    3. Double click on Programs and Features
    4. Click on YOUR Lexmark Printer  and click on remove.
Download and reinstall the printer software using the below given link :
    http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:438:0:0&searchLang=en&os_group=Windows%20Vista&target=
NOTE:  Clicking the link may give an error indicating it is invalid.
Copy and paste the entire link in a new browser window.
After the installation of drivers, restart the notebook into normal mode. Now plese check with printing any document. If the still persists then perform the below given steps :
Click on Vista (Start) button, and type Regedit.exe in search bar
    Navigate to the following branch
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Spooler
In the right-pane, double-click the DependOnService value
Delete the existing data, and then type RPCSS
    Close Regedit.exe
    Restart the computer.
    This should resolve the issue.

I did download and ran the home network diag utility.
it shows that there is no network printer.
I should have described my desktop configuration as --
an HP Desktop connected to the router via an ethernet cable
an HP C5250 printer connected to the HP desktop via a USB cable and listed as shared in its properties.
It still shows as a network printer in the "Add a printer" dialog but will give the access denied error when you finish install.
Thanks for your effort --- I appreciate it.  If you have anything else to try let me know.  I'll check in the AM.

Have you tried restarting the printer? Reboot the iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Windows 7 64 bit / Server 2012 R2 GUI - Type 4 Print Driver error "Cannot connect to the Printer" 0x00000002

Hello,  We have multiple Server 2003 Print server and are working on testing a Server 2012 print server.  We have run into an issue where a PRINTER (type 4, normal) works with our Windows 7 32 bit clients, Windows 8.1 64 bit clients and the
2012 R2 server, but when trying to install to a windows 7 64 bit clients using \\SERVER\PRINTER we are getting the above message.  (The printer is not offered currently in the directory).
I have been scouring the Google and Bing and have yet to find a satisfactory description that matches this issue.  Nor have I found other information that resolve this issue.  Like, blaming this on the spooler or DLL fixes or Reg hacks (applied
    on the client side).
Specifically, we have used the native 2012 R2 drivers "Ricoh Class Driver", "HP LaserJet 4240 PCL6 Class Driver" and "Xerox Phaser 6120 Class Driver"
If I use a Type 3 driver from Xerox I am able to print from the Windows 7 64 bit client to the print device, but I was hoping to get all of my clients onto 1 driver.  I understand that I might be able to use some sort of WMI filtering in our GPO
deployments for the Windows 7 64 bit clients when we go live but this sort of <gs class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="55af8faf-887d-4ea5-9032-7c14b199df0f" id="db4a1e65-db1b-4c94-bd84-20ffc96288ce">henky</gs>.
Please, provide some knowledge.  Either a solution to this issue or acknowledgement that separate driver will be required.  Thank You!!!!!

    Hi,
Firstly, please run this "Fix It" tool (Full mode) to reset the print splooer and driver:

  • Ipad cannot connect to the printer unless printer is set for wifi

I have an HP Envy 4500 printer that I wish to use with my iPad. I can use the printer if I choose the setting wifi without connecting via the router.  But after I set it up to use the router and the printer shows that it has established connectivity from the Wireless Network Test Result, the only way that I can print, is to change the setting on my iPad from the router to the printer in Settings.  That means I cannot continue to use Safari or other search engines while I print. What am I doing wrong when setting it up on the iPad?

Currently your HP Envy 4500 is set to Wireless Direct Printing (Ad Hoc setting; the printer generate it's own network)
You must set your HP Envy 4500 to Wireless Network Printing in order to use Safari and other function simultanously.

  • I keep on getting "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error has occurred."(-50). What do i do?

Whenever i try to access the itunes store, it just stays on the page saying loading but never loads and then the error appears. What other ways can i access the itunes store to check my purchases account?

    Thankyou for your help !!
i was also wondering, the reason im wanting to access the itunes store is to check my purchasing account because on my account balance ive been overcharged.
I was charged $1.00, but i read that this is for authorisation purposes of my debit cardand that it'll be refunded back to me over a few days. However ive only bought one app which was $1.19, yet i was charged double so $3.38. Do you know whats wrong??
Also how many days does it usually take for the email receipt to be sent to my email and is this email the apple ID email address??

  • Cannot connect to the wireless networking

My Toshiba Laptop was preinstalled with Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit OS, and it had been working quite well with the wireless BB. However, the wireless internet connection was on and off within recent weeks, while the other mobile devices, such as iphone, ipad, or laptop, in my household had no such problem. The wireless signal was so strong, but the error message always said 'Windows cannot connect to the wireless networking'. It seemed there was something wrong with the wireless adapter.
I got a new TP-Link wireless adapter properly installed. Luckily, this worked; but unluckily, this worked for less than 24 hours. It was really frustrating that I, as a full-time student, depended so much on wireless networking.
    Please help!!! Harry

  • Getting wireless connectivity on the printer.

The printer is a HP Photosmart 6510 series. Initial set up (6 months ago) was fine and the printer connected wirelessly to the PC fine. Today something has happened and the computer cannot connect to the printer. I have deinstalled the printer and have tried reinstalling with the original disc but the when the set up asks for the IP address of the printer the process stops.

    Hello staffstp.
Please, check this document to know if your printer is still connected to the router.
    1. Printing a Network Configuration Page with Photosmart 6510.
