Windows copies in smartforms

Hi
I need to print the same information in two window in the same page ( the information printed in both windows are identical).
I am creating a new smartform , and I using the funcionality "Copies Window" for do two main window in the same page.
Now, when I do any change or changes inside my 'main window', could replicated automatically in ' main window copies ' but this not occurs.
I know that is posible using Sapscript but is it posible using smartforms?

Source system:
In the SSF editior double click on the window you want to download.
Go to Utilities/Download Subtree and save he proposed XML file on your PC.
Target system:
Open the SSF in edit mode; go to Upload and select the same file you just downloaded.
This will copy the window in the clip board (a message in the status bar should cofirm this).
Now go to Edit/Node/Paste; this will add the window to your tree in the left hand panel of the SSF editor. All you have to do is to rename it (optional if you want it to have the same name as in the source SSF).
This is on an NW2004s; hope this works the same way on older versions...

Hi,
we can copy the window from one smartform to other.
first select the window what you want to copy then go to utilities-> download subtree.
and save the xml file as local file.
Go to another smartform and select the page and upload the window by goto utilities->upload it will ask the file you have to give the name of the file what ever you saved earlier.
Then you got the success message as window <win> copied to clipboard.
then right click on the page choose paste. You will get the the window of another smartform.

How to copy window to another smartform?

I have a window in one smartform which i want to use in another smartform (no copy of first smartform, so other inputparameters). Because of it's complexity i don't want to write it again. How can you copy a window?
i get always an error when trying to download a subtree, saying that my cursor is in an invalid position, so i have no idea if that could be the solution.

Its simple just download smartforms to local drive ....
and upload whenever u want.....
if you dont want to download it .... you have another option...follow the below steps it works....
you create one zform in local object.....
1) open zsmartform and select window which you want to copy
2) and press back or f3 button and come out of current form and open zform(local object) ... and right click on page and paste it... it will works...as i ve done in my development....

Copying a Window from One Smartform to the Other

Hello Experts!
I was wondering if there is a way that I can copy a window and then paste it on another smartform.. it is that simple. I have tried the normal righ clicking and copy and paste but it does not work.

I donot think It is possible. But you can copy a smartform to your own development classes.

Main Window Printing In Smartforms

Hi All.
I want to print few conditions as shown below in smartform main window after all the line items.
Export   10
Fuel       20
Other     30
I have placed them in the footer, but I want them to print at the end , right now whats happening is if there is a one line item, then these charges are appearing just after that line item and not at the end.
How to go about it?

i suppose u hv maintained u r footer in Table or else u maintained u r windows as at end of main window....
if u r using like table footer just remove it.
if u r declaring separate window don't make any conditional like at the end of main window..
then..
it will work... at end of page......
but u will get the problem if u hv more than one page...
in this condition count u r line items fit in the page...
for every page calculate if 16 line items per page then count = 1.
as per that u count down no of page...
depends on make u window condition that count = 'Count'
'Count'----
>   should be u r no of page...
it will definitely work..

Change number of copies in smartforms

I am trying to change the number of copies in my smartform. In the print program I am setting the number of copies in OUTPUT_OPTIONS-tdcopies. When the pop-up comes up, the user changes the number of copies, but that number is not updated in OUTPUT_OPTIONS. I am doing things inside of the smartform based on the number of copies so I need the updated amount. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The number of copies of an output is populated in the field NAST-ANZAL. The masterdata for the number of copies is maintained in NACH-ANZAL for any sales related transaction. The table NAST is however applicable irrespective of application.
You can pass on your data to this field (NASST-ANZAL) for your reqmt.

Hi Mani,
Text aoutside the window gets truncated.
Check the size of the window "header" in form painter.
I think the problem will get solved this way.

Based on the table contents and the line items, the length and size of the table should either increase and decrease,
It shall be very helpful in meeting a requirement..

What exactly is it that you want to do?
The lenght of the table will automatically be dynamic as the table will be build dynamically.
If you want to place something after the table and for that reason need a dynamic main window you can put it in the footer of the table and it will place it after the table.

Need to Print No. of copies in smartforms

Client will take 4 copies of each document,
requirment is to print the no. of copy in each page(not the page number,coz, one document may have more than one page).

Hi,
You need to set that in the OUTPUT_OPTIONS of type SSFCOMPOP
that you pass it to FM,
that will be OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDCOPIES specify the number of copies which you want.

Check out with the Next page of the first page. I think you have not specified the next page for the First page. As a result the output is not coming.

Page break for Smartform with multiple main window on pages

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement for printing 3 pages. The difference among the 3 pages is the main window part.
The main window contains not only internal table, also complicated texts like payment instructions etc.
The requirement is in each page, the data in internal table should be changed, also payment instruction should be changed accordingly.
e.g:
Main Window of Page 1
Part 1 for Internal table
VAT on ITEM ------- 4O-------60,00------0.00%-------EUR
Part 2 for Payment Instructions
Texts for Page 1
Main Window of Page 2
Part 1 for Internal table
VAT on ITEM ------- 5O-------60,00------0.00%-------EUR

At first, I was using only one page 'Page1' with a variable page_no = 1 as default value, and use program line page_no = page_no + 1 as counter. when page_no = 2, use command for force page break to 'Page1', then under the command, change the internal table and payment instruction texts. when page_no = 3, ...
But I encountered an error saying:
Runtime Errors GEN_BRANCHOFFSET_LIMIT_REACHED

Jump distance is too large and cannot be generated.
So I created 3 pages, with different main window M_window1, M_window2, M_window3 for each page. In page1, after printing the M_window1, page_no = 2, use command to go to page2, but page2 is never printed. I think this is because only one main window can exist in a smartform? but why smartform allows creating individual main window for different pages? what's the use of such main window?
By the way, what's the use of command for force page break? only work for one main window in a smartform?
Getting back to my requirement, I think I should still use one page and command for page break. I am trying to solve this.

Now I am using 3 pages: Page 1, Page 2, Page 3.
Page 2, Page 3 are copies of Page 1 with main window renamed as second window: mw 2, mw 3.
I also created 2 command nodes in main window of page 1: cmd 2, cmd 3.
cmd 2 is for page break to Page 2, cmd 3 is for page break to Page 3.
The second window mw 2, mw 3 in Page 2, Page 3 can be displayed.
Even though, I still can't understand how main window of pages (not 1st page) can work.

Question about main window in smartform

Hi, i have three different pages, i know that i can have only one main window.
But the data in the main window will be different for each page.
I copy the main window in the three pages.
But when i try to write abap code in the main window copy ( page 3 )
The smartform refresh the abap code in the page 1 and page 2.
So the 3 pages have the same code.
I want to have different abap code in each page ( in the main window copie for each page). Because i have three internal tables one table for each page.

hi,
I believe u dont need to copy the main window. just create a next page and provide the 2nd internal table fields in next page. and same as 3rd page.
or
create 2nd page and create other windows not a copy of main window and provide the correspoding fields to those windows..
