Windows crash upon connecting new ipod touch

when i try to connect my ipod touch windows crashes with this error:

ousbehci.sys
i am connecting to usb 2.0 and every other device works perfectly. i have tried updating usb drivers and still the same issue. also, i have a pci usb card - will not work off of that either. please help
asus a7v333, athlon xp 2200, 1 gb ram, fresh install of xp sp2

Do you have Logitech or other USB camera software installed on the computer? This article says iPhone in the title but relates to the iPod touch also.

Connecting New Ipod Touch to PC

I keep trying to connect my new ipod touch to my PC and it keep getting a dialog box that tells me Apple Ipod on top and then in the box it says Camera Connected. It then gives me an option to launch the program using Microsoft scanner and camera wizard or Microsoft Word. The device is charging but in "My Computer" it is listed under Scanners and Cameras as Apple Ipod #2 with a camera icon. Does anybody know how to resolve this. Connecting new ipod touch to TV?

Hi i currently own the new ipod touch i want to connect it to my tv so i can stream live NHL video via the gamecenter app. Are there any cables or leads so i can connect to my tv that are compatible with the new ios?
I have seen a few floating around but most say only compatible with ios up to version 3.0
Also, some say you can't use them to watch video from your ipod through your tv, only view pictures. HELP?

Many different cable works. See the following. Note that TV out on the iPod ony works for apps that specifically support TV out. You hvae to check to see if the app you want to use supports TV out. No iPod morros the iPod's screen.

Connecting new iPod Touch to stereo or car using 1/8" auxiliary cable

I am having troubles connecting my new iPod Touch to my stereo and car using a 1/8" auxiliary cable. I plugged the cable into the headphone port on the iPod Touch (just as I always do with my iPod nano) and no sound comes out. The headphone port works fine when I have my earbuds plugged in. I have tried two different cables that both worked with other devices (a nano and a XM radio). Am I missing something? Is there a special cable that I should be using?

Help please, system crash when connecting new iPod

I just got a new iPod Classic 160 GB. I connected it to my computer by the USB, and it said I needed the newest version of iTunes. I downloaded from iTunes the lastest 7.4.3.1 today. I first installed it and tried to use it without success. I then uninstalled all iPod and iTunes programs, updated and ran Spybot, and updated and ran Virusscan. My computer is now totally clean. I then re-installed iTunes, but I am having the same problem. When I plug my iPod into the computer, the screen goes temporarily black, and then I get a blue screen error code Stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF787D9B6, 0xF30BC6CC, 0xF30BC3C8).

Well, I forgot to de-authorize my machine when I was upgrading to Vista, and remembered only after I was done.
Now I have two computers authorized under my account (although they are the same machine).
Speaking of which, any idea how I ought to de-authorize the non-existant computer?

Windows 8 not connecting to IPod touch

I have 4G IPod Touch I bought several years ago. My PC died so now I have new Windows 8. I was able to get my songs and apps on ITunes, but when I hit sync it’s not recognizing the IPod. I can’t get my songs back on my Touch.

Connecting new IPOD touch to a car (USB)

Hi Guys,
Saw the issues over the popping issue, However I cannot even get my car to recognise my device? . My old IPOD worked fine plug & play . I thought the same would be for this . I have attempted to use the USB in my car ( Mecredes ) and it reads cannot recognise device.

What iOS was on the old iPod? If not iOS 6 it could be that the IOS update broke compatibility.
Have you reset the car system?
Does Mecredes say it is compatible with the new iPod/iOS 6?
Have you looked at their support site?

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I am very troubled with my ipod touch because I don't see my ipod folder showing up on my computer. i have tried all possible ways to make it viewable but somehow i end up seeing only my internal storage (dcim/pictures). Brand New Ipod touch can't connect to windows.

I bought a brand new ipod touch today and when I connected it to my laptop windows comes up with a message saying that the usb device is not recognised. I have the latest update for itunes and all of the correct drivers are installed. I have tried resetting the iPod but nothing works. Anyone got any ideas? I have to go into Services with iTunes closed, and restart the three Apple items, Apple Mobile, Bonjour, iPod.
Safari 5.1 Apple Common software support 2.x also seemed to muck around a bit. All Apple software leaves behind reinstall caches of all verions too.

I have a brand new ipod touch and it wont connect to itunes or my computer!!??

I have a brand new ipod touch however when I connect it to my computer, itunes does not recognise it and neither does my computer. The drivers have downloaded and are showing working. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing itunes as discussed in support centre however nothing seems to work. The ipod itself just has the connect to the computer on the screen, is fully charged and when plugged in a little lock sign comes up for a second or two above the itunes icon!!! Let me know if you have any further suggestions please.

Thanx for you suggestions, I used my old xp laptop...update software and my ipod connected however the memory is not large enough to hold my itunes library so I could see it was not the cable or the ipod at fault.
I have tried to connect to my vista laptop again and have tried all of the suggestions in troubleshooting again...I have even upgraded to windows 7 to see if that cleared the problem....and....my computer has located my ipod but is only recognising it as a digital camera so back to the drawing board...

Even though the diagnostics aren't showing errors for it, I think it's probably still worth checking on your USB drivers, as per the following document:
