Windows default blue title bar

The custom style of a UIR panel title is always replaced by Windows default blue title bar.
http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabWindows-CVI/Removing-Windows-based-frame-for-UIR/m-p/271361
Is this still true in newer version of LabWindows/CVI?
No way to get around it in CVI 6, 7, 8?

dcl9000:
In CVI 6.0 through 2010, for child panels only, you can use SetPanelAttribute to set the titlebar style to classic, and then you can set the background color, font, etc.  But it's only for child panels, you can't have a classic main or parent panel.  You'll get a runtime error if you try to set your main panel to a classic titlebar.
SetPanelAttribute (childPanelHandle, ATTR_TITLEBAR_STYLE, VAL_CLASSIC);
SetPanelAttribute (childPanelHandle, ATTR_TITLE_BACKCOLOR, VAL_DK_YELLOW);

  • Image window maximize over title bar and tools

    Hi,
im working on a PC , with windows 7, with photoshop CS5
i searched everywhere for answer , but none was given..
people did mention this problem, but for different photoshop versions , and, i had it good till i dont know what happened and changed it, so i believe it is fixable but people understood it wrong.
anyhow, the problem is, when you try to maximize the image window (assuming you changed it from tabs), the window maximize all over the screen, over the tools and title bar.
instead of staying inside the workspace.
as i mentioned, it used to be like it , but something happened and now its all over the thing.
i tried double click the hand tool, all sort of things with the "F" and Tab shortcuts, the arrange documents thing on the top, even trying to restore default setting but nothing really did the trick.
i tried to look for something called "Application frame", that somehow suppose to do just that, under window->Application frame, but its not there.
again, it used to be ok so i know there is still hope..
here it is restored, under "fit screen" option, notice it only get the hight right, i would not call it "fit screen" but what ever..
red circels show the title bar and tools.. very nice and cool.
and this is when i hit the maximize button and unleash hell, red circles are where the title bar and tools were, not so nice and cool..
i noticed none of the others gave pictures, so i gave it a go..
please help, there are no words to describe how annoying it is.
    thank very much in advance.

If you want the Photoshop main window components to remain visible, either right-click on the image with the Zoom Tool selected and choose "Fit on Screen" (which really fits it inside the Photoshop workspace), or use Tabbed View.
Pressing Control-0 (control zero) is a shortcut for Fit to Screen.
I have no idea why Adobe changed the behavior.  Perhaps people reported that it was annoying to have the maximize window button not actually maximize the document window to fill the screen, which is really what it's supposed to do.

  • I want to hide the blue title bar from my adobe air application

    Hello
I'm doing an aplication with Flash CS4, using adobe air in as3. I have some frames, and in the frame 25 there's a stop, when user clicks a button, go ahead to frame 27 and stage resize the whole screen, just like a FULL_SCREEN, and then I load an pdf. I can't use FULL_SCREEN or FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE property, because doesn't works the pdf loaded (even adobe help say it), so I would like to simulate it. The application it will be use in windows ( I am not sure if XP, vista, but windows). So when resize the stage, to load pdf, then and ONLY then, I want the title bar disappears, just to simulate full_screen.
How can I do, to make in a desktop application that ?
    Thanks in advance

Open the Air Application descriptor file(eg: airproject-app.xml) for your application and
    uncomment the <systemChrome></systemChrome> tag.
    Set it to none like:
    <systemChrome>none</systemChrome>
    It will work.

  • X11 is opening windows with the title bar under the menu bar

Hi, I've just upgraded to Leopard and I use X11 at work to log into a Sun and run Cadence. Some of the windows open with their title bar under the menu bar at the top of the screen making it impossible to move or resize the windows. Is there a way to make it open the windows slightly farther down or is this a bug in X11 that will be fixed soon? Previously with Tiger, I never had this problem.

Great I switched to it shortly after upgrading to 10.5 and as far as what to stick with, i'm not quite sure, but my understanding it's the same open source stuff apple uses and I believe some of the fixes are intended to be used in the future updates, but maybe the xquartz site could fill you in a bit more.

  • Modifying Windows XP look title bar

    Hi,
I need to put an animated gif file on the titlebar of a JFrame near to minimize icon with WindowsLookandFeel.I read that the Java directly render the titlepane from the OS decoration for windowsLook
In Java 6, it uses UxTheme.dll for rendering from Micrisoft and Java 5 some .msstyle.
Please let me know how do I add the Gif file on the title bar before its rendered.
    Thanks

  • Possible bug: After using page setup in print preview it clears the preview screen and locks up the window (no visible widgets). I have to close the window from the title bar and start the print over.

On any page, select "Print->Print Preview". Once in the preview window, use the menu to select "Print->Page Setup". In the setup dialog box, click on the "Margins & Header/Footer". Modify some headers and footers. Then click on OK.
The preview window will either be cleared or become unresponsive. The only way to proceed is to close the preview window using the Windows close button in the top right hand corner. I must then start my printing over.
I found that I can work around this by first changing the page setup BEFORE going to print preview. However, this looks like a bug and it should be investigated and fixed.

Both printers? Or just the HP Photosmart C3100 series printer?

  • CS4 - No title bar in Windows 7 64 bit

A couple of weeks ago I installed CS4 64 bit in the 64-bit beta of Windows 7. All I did was open it, look at it, do a bit of minimal adjustment to the Prefs, open a couple of photos and pretend to edit them.
I opened it 2 days ago, and it was still fine. It Photoshop had a standard Windows 7 Aero title bar.
Today it has no title bar, just a bit of space above the menu line. Bridge still has a title bar, however.
I've trashed my prefs; no good. Trashed them, rebooted. No good.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Mary

I've got egg on my face. The reason I don't have a title bar is (quoting from a CS4 review), 'There’s no longer a title bar to consume extra screen real estate unnecessarily.' !
I must have been running it maximized before yesterday, and didn't notice the 'no title bar' phenomenon.
After reading Steve's post, I googled harder and found the answer.
Sorry for taking up bandwidth. (On the other hand, if I hadn't seen that Steve, using Vista not 7, had the same, er, feature, I might have gone through a horrid cycle of reinstalling etc.; so posting did help me!)

  • How to screencapture CONTENTS of a window, without title bar?

I've been trying to find a solution to doing a screen capture but NOT the window title bar, just the CONTENTS of the window. For example, in Photoshop, I only want the image IN the window, not the bits with the 3 coloured blobs in the upper left of all windows and the document title
All the references I've foiund talk about capturing the wndow, but no-one talks about the contents of the window.
Am I trying to invent a wheel here?
    Any advice gratefully received.

Are you asking about screenshots in general? You have three choices: the entire Mac's screen, an entire window including the title bar, or a selection created by dragging a selection rectangle.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11229
To take a screenshot for posting on this site hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field.
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

  • Option to collapse windows by double-click to title bar only, NOT minimize into dock?

A double-click to a window's title bar did, in former incanations of the Mac system, result in a collapse of the window to title bar only. Currently, it seems that this option is gone? All I find results in "minimize to the dock".
    Is there a hidden option?
Or is there third-party software that adds back this feature?

I was a bit "perplex" about the sensitivity that the term "iOSification" has caused, so I needed a little time to think about that.
From my point of view, the removal of the "collapse a window to the title bar only" function is a feature that fits very well to the wide screen format that we have today. It IS something that was and is (would be) useful on a 27'' screen, and I think it is reasonable to blame the "iOSification" (that is, the attempt to unify the user interface on very small and "real" screens) for the removal of this feature.
I am using Macs since the IIfx (with System 6). It might be that the term "iOSification" fits better to other "back the the Mac" changes to MacOS, but it describes a general attitude that I do start hating.

  • Windows Title Bar Appearing on Safari

Subject pretty much explains the entire problem.
I run Windows XP, though I've been using Safari as my browser since it first came out (I love its look and functionality). However, recently, the Safari title bar was replaced by the Windows XP-themed title bar, and I can't find any way to change it back.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Safari, asking on other computer-savvy people forums, etc.
Here is a link to a picture, to better illustrate the issue:
    http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/8867/qqstupidwindowsbar.jpg
(Apologies that it's rather small, I had to resize it to post elsewhere.
As you can see, I have Safari, but the title bar is that of Windows XP.

That's normal for Safari 4.x and above on Windows systems, I'm afraid. On the "new features" page for the Safari 4.x versions, I seem to recall that one of the things they were trumpeting was the consistency of the look and feel of the new Safari 4.x versions with other Windows applications. (So it's not a bug, it's a feature.)
I'm not aware of any "skinning" plug-ins for Safari for Windows that give you a Mac look-and-feel, but that might just be a failing on my part. If anyone else knows of one, please point J in that direction.

  • Problems with Compiz and Title bar,

Hello , i've been trying to setup compiz with arch using the open source drives and i'v gotten it working how ever if i enable the screen decorate it freezes when i start fusion-icon and i have no button or ablity to move the windows in the title bar.
i have a Radeon x1200 series graphics card
also i would like to know how show the drives that are mounted on the desktop

So you are using fusion-icon and have Compiz enabled and Emerald set as your window decorator and that's when you run into trouble.  Correct me if I'm misunderstanding your problem, but if I'm not it's probably because none of the Compiz plugins are enabled by default.  Load the Compiz control center and start enabling some of the plugins.  At minimum you need windows, move windows, and plugins like that enabled.  Hope that helps.

  • How do I remove the title bar from a Palm PDA front panel?

On several PDA screens, I need all the real esate I can get. The title bar chews up a lot of it.  Is there any way, in the vi settings or programmatically, that I can remove the title bar?
I've already tried the obvious step of unchecking "window has a title bar" in the window appearance catagory of the vi properties.  No apparent effect is seen.

    Hello,
It sounds like you are referring to the GUI actually on your Palm devices.  I believe on Palm devices all applications have a title bar, and there isn't a way to get rid of it.  My guess is that perhaps this is a feature you can enable/disable as a Palm OS setting, or may simply be the way the Palm has defined its user interface.  If you have your Palm devices handy, check out the display settings to see any has an option to remove the title bars in general.  If you find out either way, definitely repost so the community can find the answer here as well!
    Thank you,

  • Hiding the Title Bar

is there any way to hide the title bar in the frame or dialog.
This is because i dont want the user to close the window from the title bar by right clicking it or clicking the X.

Both Frame and Dialog have the method below which removes the title bar and border. JFrame and JDialog inherit this method.
    public void setUndecorated(boolean undecorated)
