Windows drivers fail on error 2869

I am a pc user switching to mac...
I am about as frustrated as you can be with mac...
Tried installing boot camp several times, it always fail at installing Mac drivers (max ox x disk) with the error #2869
Apple support said maybe the installation disks were bad, so I ordered a new windows xp pro sp2 disk and mac os x disk.
Tried again with both new disks, and again where the mac drivers would install got the error 2755 and then 2869.
Windows installs fine, you just cannot use it without the drivers.
Apple support is researching the problem and will get back to me.
Installing windows over and over agian is very time consuming.
I have spent so much time on this, I expected mac to just work.
I have researched the web, worked with apple support, but nothing works

I doubt it will solve the problem - at all.
And is the same malarkey of reinstalling any OS (like XP) rather than fix or find the cause, and is popular with tier 1 support manuals I guess.
However, one nice thing about OS X is the ability to clone and have multiple boot volumes and drives, and the ease of cloning your system. You should clone it when updated and before doing more, and then be able to restore it easily, and keep your clone updated even.
I tend toward working backups; emergency boot drive backup; and a backup that never gets touched but is updated, and can be just a dynamic sparse image file, not even a partition.

I finally resolved the problem. I was trying to install CC 2014 on a 32 Bit system not being aware that CC 2014 is 64 bit only!

Jolauterbach the error indicates that your User account is not able to properly write to the temporary directory. Please make sure you have sufficient disk space and proper rights to modify the temporary directory.

Upgrade to Windows 10 failed with error 80070714. Please Help!!!

Hi. I hope someone out there can help me!! I have tried numerous times to upgrade my HP Envy 15-K204NA from Windows 8.1 64-bit to Windows 10 Home, but it continues to fail with error code 80070714. I am using Bullguard Premium Protection and have Acronis True Image installed. I have disabled SQL services as suggested by other posts on the internet, but nothing seems to work. When I run the upgrade from a DVD burned from the ISO, it gets to 37% and then fails. Hope you can help. (fingers crossed!!) Hi Mumbodog and thanks for your reply. I have uninstalled Bullguard and tried the upgrade again, but it failed at the same point. I have also removed Acronis True Image and again it failed!! Activation windows 7 fails with error 0x80070005

Hello,
I tried everything to solve this enduring problem. We have about 10 pc's at the company. All with windows 7 professional x64. One of them fails to activate. We work with a windows 2008 SBE server domain
- Activating online gives error 0x80070005.
- Closing the internet conenction and trying again gives me the option to activate through the phone method. Doing that gives the same error 0x80070005 "access denied".
We have no firewall enabled. Disabled mcafee antivirus.Tried logging in as domain admin and as local admin.
Does anyone has an idea about what i could try next?

- Tried the slui 4 method (even in an elevated rights command prompt), still access denied error 0x80070005.
- Tried leaving the domain and joining a workgroup again, attached the pc with the networkcable straight to the internet modem (so without 2008 server in between) logged in as local admin. Still the same problem.
- Tried the sfc /scannow, no error found

Windows updates failed with error code 9c48

i have a WSUS sevrer and servers that have windows server 2008 r2 , many of them failed with the attached error , the update that caused this is Internet Explorer 11 for Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64-based Systems , and after i checked the
internet explorer its already have IE11 , i tried to do the following troubleshooting with no luck :
1- sfc /scannow : no errors found
2- wuauclt /detectnow
wuauclt /reportnow
3- stopped the windows update service and cleared the windows updates files and started it again with the same problem
any advice for this please

Please remove the IE11 first, then try to install this update.

Windows update fails with error 0x800F0922 for KB2961072 on Windows 8.1 desktop

I just tried to install updates on my Dell desktop tower running Windows 8.1 Pro. The first time it said that updates did not succeed and that it had to roll them back. I started using computer and now that same update notification showed up again.
I tried installing it once more and got the same story -- it rolled them back. So I'm afraid I'm about to go into a deadloop with Microsoft here.
On the side note let me say that I am not a fan of stopping my work to reboot computer and loose 10-15 min on this foolishness, so if there's a way to make these go away, I'd follow it.
When I pull up an update window I get these:
As for "security update for internet explorer", if that's the hold-up, I'd gladly pick the one that says, "Remove internet explorer 11 FOREVER" because I never use it and I don't know why I even have it?

New MBP 15", Windows installation fails with error 0x80070570 or 0x80070570D

Hey guys!
I finally got a new MBP a few weeks ago, and I wanted to install a Windows partition for some games. I have tried this with several different windows copies (both legal and illegal, and both of windows 7 and windows 8), but to none avail. The exact error message I keep getting is:
Windows 7:
"Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or mossing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the application. Error code: 0x80070570"
Windows 8:

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I've let the bootcamp utility put the disk images on the USB. As I mentioned before, I got the Windows installation images through various legal and illegal sources and made several attempts with each and evere disk image, so that should not be the cause.

Since it is not simple to reinstall only .net framework on W7 (it is part of the operating system),
I checked the .net framework with the .NET FRAMEWORK VERIFICATION TOOL
( http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/pages/8999004.aspx.)
Verification succeeded for .net 2.0,3.0 and 3.5.
Since there are more problems on this pc. (1:windows update problems with strange errorcodes, 2:unable to turn windows features on/of)
i decided to rerun the W7 setup.
i selected the upgrade option , assuming this would update corrupted files, and it did.
After that LV9 installed without problems.

My Lenovo SL500 is not working at all - I get error: "Windows Vista failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause"
I tried the following on my Lenovo:
Windows repair menu = "windows cannot be repaired"
Lenovo Rescue and Repair
Rescued my files from Hard-drive (copied to external hdd)
Restore System = Failed
Diagnose hardware = HDD passes all tests
Don't know what else to do with = Boot from another device ? Access BIOS?
Because I do not have the windows vista install disks
I purchased and downloaded the recovery disks from neosmart.net
The neosmart windows vista recovery disks DO NOT WORK = Error is "Unable to find any valid Windows partitions on this computer".
The Hard-drive exists because I was able to back-up files from HD through (Lenovo Rescue & Recovery Rescue files). So there is a hard-drive.
I don't know what to do next?
Last resort is to Factory Restore via either the Lenovo R&R or Windows Vista Recovery Disks (neosmart)?
Will I still have windows?

Yes, if you can restore the system through Rescue & Recovery, then you will still have WIndows on your machine, but all your files will be deleted from the hard drive. Luckily, you have already saved those files elsewhere. I would recommend trying to restore the system and see if that works.

I have hand-installed the NVidia graphics driver, and I have keyboard, minimal trackpad, and hardwire to internet all working. So the WIndows machine is usable. But I am hurting for wi-fi, better trackpad, and whatever else is delivered by Boot Camp. I can't use any of the Boot Camp upgrades because I do not have XP or Vista.

While we all have MacBooks in this forum not all of us use Boot Camp. There's a Boot Camp Support Community where everybody uses Boot Camp. You should also post this question there.

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
The error messages I get are:
ERROR: Error 2203.Database: C:\Windows\Installer\12102c.ipi. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287035.
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603 - Fatal error during installation.

Hi,
If there is any external device plug into your computer, please unplug it and restart the Server.
You can also test the issue in Safe mode.
If it can boot into Safe mode, please update any driver has yellow warning on it, also check if the dump file is existing under %SystemRoot%\, if so, please help to post back for our research.

I can register an OCX file in Windows 7 x64 without incident but with Windows 7 x32 I get a p-up that says "DllRegisterServer failed with error code: 0x80004005. What gives???

Hey yeah. not much else to say. The title says it all.
I'm trying to register an OCX file that my video editing application requires to work properly.
I'm using a Registry (Regsvr32 and Regsvr64) tool to Register DLL/OCX files. Both bit Registry tools work fine. I can Register any DLL or OCX file with Windows 7 x64 and everything goes smoothly.
But, when in Windows 7 x32, again, no problem with merging the Regsvr32 tool, but when I go to register the OCX file message says it was loaded but the DllRegisterServer failed with error: 0x80004005.

My Video Editing software was working fine a few days ago in Windows 7 x64. Tried using it this morning....couldn't load the .mpg video clip. Just stood there looking stupid like it does in the 32-bit version of Windows 7.
I was hoping the x64 version of Windows 7 RC 7100 was going to make a decent run against my XP Pro SP3 setup. When I was able to register the required .ocx file for the video editing application, I thought "cool". I made a TV recording then used the Video Editor to edit it and it worked fine. Earlier this morinng I made another TV recording, went to go edit it and the video editing application couldn't load the .mpg file at all.
