Windows error 126 and avfoundation missing dll
Hi all,
I am hoping someone is able to help me with the following errors. I tried to open itunes with my asus laptop which is currently running windows 7 32bit, and for some reason it will not open, and the following messages will appear,
Windows Error 126
avfoundation missing dll.
Please if there is anybody out there that can assist me I would be forever greatful.
Taken at face value, you've got a damaged Apple Application Support program file, balda. (iTunes needs a properly functioning Apple Application Support in order to work correctly.
On a 32-bit Windows 7 system, I'd try the following set of instructions:

I'm trying to download the new version of itunes. durig the install i get a message that I need to verify that I have sufficient privilege. Then I get a message of a Windows error 126 and a missing file MSVCR 80.dll. I've tried everything on the support site and nothing works.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I cannot install iTunes. I get a Windows Error 126 and missing msvcr80.dll. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing based on all the suggestions, but still have an issue. I've removed all the services, tried moving the dll files as suggested, but I still have no success. Spent all day on this issue. I am running windows 7.
Sorry to hear this isn't going smoothly for you. Try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. You may have seen some of the suggestions here before but is has taken some users more than one attempt.

Had error 7 windows error 126 and missing MSVCR80.dill. Went through the steps to uninstall and apple mobile device would not uninstall. Now I can"t download itunes. Help!!
apple mobile device would not uninstall.
Try using the fixit from the following Microsoft document to remove Apple Mobile Device Support:
Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled -
I have Windows XP on my dell desktop- I have uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled Itunes 10.2.5 - when the install finished i got the error 7 windows error 126 and the itunes won't open
I have uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled Itunes 10.2.5
Doublechecking. Did you just uninstall iTunes, and not the related software and components?
The 7 can be caused by damage to one of the other software components associated with iTunes (most commonly Apple Application Support). If that's what is afoot, a complete uninstall/reinstall may be of some assistance:

Having difficulty accessing I Tunes on my Windows 7 Vista.
Error messages are two fold:
1. MSVCR80.dll not found. Reinstall may help correct prob.
2. Windows Error 126.Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

After installing new itunes upgrade on Windows Vista PC, itunes does not open. Getting error boxes identfiying Windows error 126 (error 7) plus; MSVCR80.dll not found.
Anyone have casue and resolution?
Apple support did not have file or process available to backoff to previous itunes version v11.1.3 to allow recovery so itunes could continue use with no problems as before this new upgrade.Solving MSVCR80 issue and Windows iTunes install issues.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process. -
I tried to install latest version of itunes on my PC now the program doesn't start at all. I remove and reinstalled the program 5 times and I still get ERROR 7 (Windows 126) and failure to start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. Is there a simple fix?
Click here and follow the instructions.

I did an update of the Microsoft Framework.net (4), but it did not help. Cannot reinstall my itunes and this whole thing started when I clicked on my computer to get the latest itunes update when the window came up.
Hey Jon Wahl,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with the latest iTunes update. Let’s troubleshoot the iTunes installation by completely removing and reinstalling iTunes and all related components (it is important to remove all components in the order listed):

Read the instructions very carefully and follow the steps exactly as shown: http://http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923 "Removing and reinstalling itunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8".
After completing STEP 2, you may still find a couple of applications (icloud & mobile). You may only see the "change" option. If so, click on "change", it will prompt you to the uninstall option. Click on "uninstall" and the applications will be removed.
Tip: You may still find a shortcut and a file called itunes64setup on your desktop. DO NOT DELETE THEM.
Restart your PC as indicated in STEP 3, and reinstall you itunes. You´ll have it alive again!
Tip: make sure you're running the latest Windows updates.Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
