Windows Error on Video Download

I purchased a TV video and was watching the download process on the iTunes bar. Just as it looked complete, I received a Windows error message. You know the one that says "Windows error. Do you want to send error message?" After that it closed. Will I be charged for the video download even though I can't find it in iTunes? How do I decide what happened before I try it again?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

When I looked after it appeared to download, I didn't find it in the video folder. After doing searches to no avail, I posted this thread. About 1/2 hour later I looked in the video folder again and it was there. At first when I clicked on it, it would not run but I could hear it in the background. It appeared to be downloading again (weird?). I dragged it onto the iPod icon. Miraculously it worked. The wonders of computers!
One other question - when I found it in the iTunes Music folder it was in a folder called "downloads." That is why I could not find it. Why doesn't it download under the name of the TV show (Passport to Europe - Rome, Italy)? I guess I can right-click on it and rename it, but if I download anything else will it always be in there under a "download" folder?

  • Error 3259 video download

Ive purchased a video series and am trying to download. The download is frequently interrupted with the message that the network connection timed out. The error number is 3259. I can keep re-starting the download, but it continues to "time-out."
I've searched the internet, I've searched the forums...and no one seems to know what's causing this or how to fix it. Apparently, it's an error that many others are getting.
Is there anyone who knows what this is, why it's happening, and how to fix it? I can't believe that Apple doesn't know about it.
I'm using the latest version of iTunes, and Vista Home Premium.
    HELP!

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for purchases" command and run that. You may find the tracks there to be downloaded.
If not, contact the iTunes Store using the form at the bottom of the Download FAQ web page and explain the problem to them.
    Good luck.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Discussions page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums, in the User Tips Library and in the Apple Knowledge Base before you post a question.

  • I tried to download the new update but an error 7 occurred then a Windows error 193 occurred. Now I can't even open iTunes. Can someone please HELP.

I have been trying to update my iTunes but each time i download the update I get an error. The first error that comes up is error 7 then I get a Windows error 193. Can anyone please HELP ME?

I had the same problem, when switching over to iTunes 11. I downloaded the software through Apple Software Update, and when I tried opening the software, it popped up with an error message. The support forums suggest a complete uninstaall/reinstall, which I did. iTunes 11 now works without a single problem. Fair warning, tho: Back up all files pertaining to iTunes (music, videos, etc.) BEFORE uninstalling.

  • Error -50 while downloading something on windows 8

there is an error... -50.... and there's no such thing as a windows 8 error fixing for the -50 error code... if someone could please help... ill be glad, THX.

    Hi funjjhoweANDcool,
I understand the frustration when you are unable downloading content from the iTunes Store. I would start with this section of the following article.
iTunes Store: "Error (-50)" when downloading purchased content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1583
This can happen when a connection timeout occurs while you're downloading purchased content from the iTunes Store. For example, certain types of software may affect how a computer sends and receives information from the Internet:
    Firewalls
    Web Accelerators
    Ad Filters
    Virus Protection Software
    Resolution
If you have any of the software listed above and you can't access the iTunes Store or complete your download, you'll need to configure the software to allow iTunes to connect to the Internet and to allow the following domains to send and receive data from the Internet:
    itunes.apple.com
    ax.itunes.apple.com
    albert.apple.com
    gs.apple.com
    deimos3.apple.com
    phobos.apple.com
Refer to the documentation that came with that software and, if necessary, contact the software's manufacturer.
You can also try these steps:
If a web accelerator could be causing the issue, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the software manufacturer.
If your computer is on a network, try using a different computer on the network or discussing the issue with the network administrator.
If needed, there are further steps including those for Windows 8 in this section.
"Error (-50)" appears when you download purchased videos
    Thanks for reaching out,
    -Joe

  • Itunes download problem, Error 7, Windows error 193

I was trying to download the latest Itunes update, which failed 3 times. I recieved an error message "Error 7, Windows Error 193". I followed the instructions on Apple Support to download the latest installer for windows 7, but that still didn't work. What do I do?

    Hi laney576,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would recommend trying a thorough removal and reinstall of iTunes as described here:

  • I am trying to install itunes after downloading Windows 8.1.  I get an Windows Error 2 message--  "Apple Application Support is required to run itunes helper."  Any suggestions?

I am trying to install itunes (64 bit) after downloading Windows 8.1 on my HP Laptop.  I keep getting an error message Windows Error 2--"Apple App;ication Support is required to run itunes helper"  Does anyone have any simple suggestions for a user with limited knowledge of Computers?

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

    Hello Jean,
Based of what you have provided then I would say yes download iTunes from Apple’s website and also make sure that your version of Windows is up to date as well. Take a look at the article below to walk you through that plus some other steps necessary to get you back to using iTunes.

  • I tried downloading the new update for itunes I get these error messages: Visual C   runtime library R6034 an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly Error 7 windows error 1114.  What should I do to correct this?

I tried downloading the new update for my desktop PC I get the following error messages:
    Visual C++ Runtime library
    R6034
an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly Error 7 Windows Error 1114

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes for Windows forum.

    Hi, DickmoAZ.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like a permission issue most likely with the iTunes Media folder.  Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue.

  • When trying to download the latest version of iTunes, I got 2 errors:  MSVCR80.dll missing and then Error 7 (Windows error 126)  HELP!

When trying to downlead the latest version of iTunes, I got 2 errors:
    1.  MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start.  Verify your admin ......
    2.  iTunes was not installed correctly.  Error 7 (Windows error 126)
    Please help!

Do you have Windows XP Pro?
    see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5840089?tstart=0
there is a stupid checkbox you must uncheck, saying "protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity"
You see this screen when you right-click on the ItunesSetup.exe in your Downloads folder.
downloads>ItunesSetup.exe  (right-click)>yourself as admin & UNCHECK THAT BOX!>  conntinue with new installation and even find your old playlists still  intact!!
This is apparently a Windows XP fix alone. MSVCR80.dll is (probably) reinstalled by Itunes under a partnership aggreement with Microsoft.
Using the Microsoft "Fix It" utility at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/en does NOT fix anything. Abandon All Hope Ye Who Run This Utility More Than Once
